Chorizo burrito
Audra H.

I stopped by here to grab a chorizo burrito which I read about in another review and the food did not disappoint! The burrito was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of flavor and cheese! Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and efficient and my food was ready within 5 minutes. I also got a lavender tea since I had already had coffee and didn't want to over caffeinate! It was sweet and delicious (even though I was skeptical at first). Ambiance was causal and cute. I enjoyed the visit overall. I'd recommend! In

The garden club was pretty good, had some spice to it. The fruit side was a little small but the grapes were really good. My London fog was also yummy. My friend has a gluten allergy and the lady working there made sure that his food wasn't contaminated. Staff was very sweet and patient while I browsed the menu. It's pretty chatty but the sound was easy to tune out for me. There is a super cute small gift section with soaps, crocheted items, honey, etc.

Such a great local place to meet up with friends for coffee or have a leisurely morning or afternoon reading and grabbing a treat. Tables, pub style seating, a comfy couch, or even sit outside. Cozy decor. Many coffee and tea items to select from the menu as well as delicious treats. Even gifts to browse! Ample parking just off University in the Valley. Right next to the Appleway Trail. It has a very neighborhood feel which is nice. They also offer a drive through! This could be a grate regular coffee hangout. This could b

Spring avocado toast- it's gorgeous and SO full of acidic, salty, bright flavor!!

I'm so in love with this spot. The food is fresh and delightful, and the drink menu feels specially curated with my favorite tastes in mind (Revival tea, protein shakes, delicious coffee and smoothie options INCLUDING sugar free and bright, seasonal flavors in abundance). My husband and I love coming in for a quick breakfast before he rides the bus out to Eastern to work-- breathing in the fresh air thanks to all the gorgeous plants, sitting and talking for a moment in the morning sunshine with the peaceful atmosphere: we really love it here. The avocado toast options are my personal favorites, but my husband adored the grilled, stuffed breakfast burrito. We try to come in once a week at least-- I hope this place is around forever!! Also, CJ is the living sweetest. Thanks for bringing your goodness to Spokane!

Garden veggie panini with "in bloom" signature tea... so yummy!!

They also offer coffee and smoothies, with a small shop of stickers, hand made earrings, organic lotions, raw honey, etc. Im visiting from LA (CA) and I absolutely adore the aesthetic of this place. Plus, Eden was so sweet and friendly and quite knowledgeable of the menu-- overall no complaints!!

I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Rocket Bakery - Lemon tart.... Soo good!!

I quickly did some research and found Rocket Bakery was just 5 mins away from where we were. We pulled into the tiny parking and luckily there was 1 spot left. When we walked in, it was more of a coffee shop than a bakery I had envisioned. However, they had a small area of baked goods and a glass window of cakes/pie and ready-made food. I didn't recall being greeted either. Vibe was kinda off, not the cool vibing coffee shop feel. After looking at everything, the only pie option they had was a Rhubarb Custard, which I went ahead and ordered a slice. I also got a slice of the Blueberry Cheesecake Tart, and a berry scone. My friend got a slice of the Lemon Tart and a chocolate chip cookie. The young employee helping us was really nice, but I think she felt overwhelmed by the line of people started to form. Towards the end of putting our order together, another employee came to help. I also felt we were kinda rushed out of there. So much so, that after we were handed our food, out the door, and almost to the car-- an employee came running out with a box in her hand. She forgot to give us one of our slices. The berry scone was pretty good. It was dense, moist, and cooked perfectly. I was excited to try the rhubarb custard pie, but unfortunately it fell short for me. The rhubarb wasn't tart at all, giving it a real subtle taste. Possibly could have used too much sugar to cut the tartness. The custard and crust part wasn't bad. I could taste the nutmeg and cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. The blueberry cheesecake tart had great flavor. It wasn't too cheesy nor sugary. Preferably, I wished it had a bit more blueberry topping. The crust was interesting--it was good and I think it had nuts, oatmeal, and coconut mixed into it. My friend said his lemon tart was really good but that the winner was the chocolate chip cookie. He said it was on the softer side and filled with mini sweet chocolate chips that he really enjoyed. For now, I'll continue my quest in search of yummy pies in CDA and Spokane.

I got a raspberry mocha, which is a baseline drink for me that I get at all new cafes. It was delicious! The coffee shot was prefect and it was sweet enough for me. Also got the berry scone, which has lemon frosting on it. DIVINE! I don't think I could try anything else; I'd want this scone every time I stop by. The tables are assorted in size but I never saw an employee in that area to wipe them down. It also was crazy warm in there. Even after taking my coat off I couldn't stay long in the heat. The employees were very nice and conversational. You can see why it's been around for so long.

Today was especially uncomfortable. The barista (beanie, vest and braided hair) was unfriendly, visibly annoyed, and not helpful when I asked for a recommendation. I always ask for light ice because my drink often sits at my desk while I'm interrupted at work, and I don't want it watered down before I can enjoy it. Despite clearly requesting light ice, my drink came back nearly ¾ full of ice. I politely asked if some of the ice could be removed, explaining why. The barista rolled her eyes, and the other employees working this morning laughed and made comments. She refused to come back to the window and instead handed my order to another employee (white sweatshirt with hair pulled back), who shoved my breakfast out the window with a grimace. As someone who has been a barista for over 20 years, this level of behavior is unacceptable. I was polite, clear, and reasonable. Ordering a lotus with light ice is not a difficult request. If interacting with customers or accommodating simple preferences is an issue, this may not be the right job.

The broccoli beef was $18 before tax. The takeout order came with a light broth egg, pea soup and rice. The egg pea soup was good, light and fragrant. The rice was somehow bland and old. The broccoli beef was disappointing in every way! As the name implies, the dish should have beef and broccoli only. This dish came with everything, mushrooms, carrots, onions, beef and broccoli. The seasoning was bland and watered down, from the extra veggies. The portion for $18 and less broccoli and beef was depressing. The bowl was the same size as my small hand. The mango green tea was fair. I wasn't asked about my sugar preference. The tea was sweet, but still good. The boba was chewy and slightly sweet, super happy it wasn't tasteless and firm. I wouldn't come back for broccoli beef. I might come back to try something else. The prices were high for the quality and portions.
