I was lucky that it was only five minutes from where I was staying. The ambiance reminds me of a small, third-wave coffee place with a small amount of seating. There is a main ordering area/bar looking area in the middle of the cafe and seats in the periphery. I was amazed to see how many options there were. After ordering my pour over, I was happy that it was made well, prepared well, and had an excellent aroma. I was instantly happy knowing this coffee place was close to where I was staying. They definitely know what they are doing here! Highly recommend it. The only downside to this place is they are closed on Sunday, and I found that out the hard way.

You can even do a taste flight. I love their one and one. Get to really taste the coffee with the espresso shot, and then a nice easy sip with the macchiato. And quite a steal at $4. Definitely a place to go for any coffee connoisseur. But note, this isn't really a cafe. No place to work. No lounge chairs. Just great coffee.

And to the out of town barely understandable fake one star reviewers from out of town (who I would bet are just paid), people like you are why we can't have nice things in Spokane. It's obvious they care deeply about what they serve and the role they play in Spokane's coffee culture. The service was friendly, and the espresso itself was excellent -- smooth and well balanced. I tried a latte with their apple caramel sauce, which was pleasant but didn't have distinct apple or caramel flavor coming through. In a region full of great coffee spots, this one didn't quite hit a 5 for me personally, but it's still a thoughtful, quality shop I'd happily return to and explore more of their menu.

There is a small space to sit that is primarily within the business, but plenty of room in the shared space if you are looking for a place to extend your visit. I asked the barista some questions and noticed that he was meticulously measuring coffee grounds by weight and tamping with precision. He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. The chai is sourced from a small business in Bend. It was a perfectly spiced blend. The espresso was smooth and flavorful. It was so delicious I went back for another the next day. This establishment serves only beverages (as far as I could tell) but they are made with care and skill. Highly recommend.

In…read morethe past two years I have tried several well recommended spokane cafes that were all great, tasty, and slightly more expensive than I would like. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.
