Ran by a mother and daughter duo (I think?), the theme is an Alice in Wonderland meets a Cajun New Orleans situation. It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music. read more

If you're in Coeur d'Alene, you absolutely have to go to 10/6 for brunch. This place feels like you stepped straight into Alice in Wonderland. The ambiance is magical, the food is amazing, and the staff is so incredibly kind. At exactly 10:06, the owner came out and gave the sweetest speech that literally had us crying happy tears at the table. It felt so personal and special. The biscuits and gravy were to die for, and you HAVE to try the bourbon vanilla latte -- so delicious. Honestly, it feels like dining inside a restaurant Disney would create. Ambiance was stellar but food was 3 stars. They have the decor down perfectly. The food was disappointing, however. Out of the 4 of us, 3 were disappointed with our meal and the 4th was a child with just egg, bacon and fruit. My gumbo was spicy but lacked more flavor and should have included shrimp. The rice and beans had a weird aftertaste and the chicken sandwich was just dull. The server was nice but it took 25 minutes for us to get our food after ordering. The only high point was the beignets, which were served with a delicious lemon curd. I'm not sure if I would go back because it was pretty expensive, but I really love the atmosphere. read more

On a whim, we made a reservation for 8 AM for a "just because we both have the rare day of" breakfast date, and it was wonderful! We shared the beignets with the coconut lime curd, as well as the monte cristo and eggs benedict. We definitely could have shared just one entree, with the portions and pricing being what they were, but there are no regrets (especially when leftovers are happily devoured in the tomorrow to come). The atmosphere of this restaurant is Disney's French Quarter plucked and put into Coeur d'Alene! It is so cute even to the bathroom, which has a full Alice in Wonderland vibe. We came here for brunch with our daughter and husband and six year old granddaughter. I love it when the server notes right off there is a child and understands that is a big deal when dining out. He gave her respect and attention, did not overlook her in conversations and made sure she was included in the entire process. I love the set up with the many decorations which are modified for both Halloween and Christmas with plenty of Nightmare before Christmas references on top of their Alice in Wonderland theme. The thing about themed restaurants, is the food is usually subpar. That is not the case with Ten/6. They have delicious food. The items we ordered, both times we were there, were really good! I will say that I would appreciate regular hollandaise sauce over their thick cheesy gravy on the Egg Benedict's. But the croissant dish, omelets, coffee drinks and hot chocolate were all first rate. My son also loves the decor and enjoys playing Eye Spy while looking for the various decorations on the list. It's a fun place with delicious food. The servers are a class act as well.
