Ran by a mother and daughter duo (I think?), the theme is an Alice in Wonderland meets a Cajun New Orleans situation. It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music. read more

If you're in Coeur d'Alene, you absolutely have to go to 10/6 for brunch. This place feels like you stepped straight into Alice in Wonderland. The ambiance is magical, the food is amazing, and the staff is so incredibly kind. At exactly 10:06, the owner came out and gave the sweetest speech that literally had us crying happy tears at the table. It felt so personal and special. The biscuits and gravy were to die for, and you HAVE to try the bourbon vanilla latte -- so delicious. Honestly, it feels like dining inside a restaurant Disney would create. What a fun place for brunch with girlfriends! From the minute we got to the front door I could tell by the decor this place was going to be something special. With a huge nod to Alice in Wonderland, everything was delightful! There were several special drinks and we all chose the Vanilla Bourbon Latte... Sooooo good! Ambiance was stellar but food was 3 stars. They have the decor down perfectly. The food was disappointing, however. Out of the 4 of us, 3 were disappointed with our meal and the 4th was a child with just egg, bacon and fruit. My gumbo was spicy but lacked more flavor and should have included shrimp. The rice and beans had a weird aftertaste and the chicken sandwich was just dull. The server was nice but it took 25 minutes for us to get our food after ordering. The only high point was the beignets, which were served with a delicious lemon curd. I'm not sure if I would go back because it was pretty expensive, but I really love the atmosphere. read more

On a whim, we made a reservation for 8 AM for a "just because we both have the rare day of" breakfast date, and it was wonderful! We shared the beignets with the coconut lime curd, as well as the monte cristo and eggs benedict. The atmosphere of this restaurant is Disney's French Quarter plucked and put into Coeur d'Alene! It is so cute even to the bathroom, which has a full Alice in Wonderland vibe. We came here for brunch with our daughter and husband and six year old granddaughter. I love it when the server notes right off there is a child and understands that is a big deal when dining out. He gave her respect and attention, did not overlook her in conversations and made sure she was included in the entire process. What a deflating anniversary celebration,! We made reservations for our anniversary brunch today. Was told they would have a live "jazz brunch band". It's a New Orleans themed restaurant at which we have dined many times. So naturally I thought a jazz band brunch would include New Orleans- themed music. Not today! It was a Disney review of movie musical numbers. My husband and I detest this type of music! Had I been told it was Disney- themed I would never have paid the $20 ticket advanced payment fee. When I spoke to the hostess (no manager was on staff today) and shared our disappointment, she said she was sorry but didn't offer to compensate us in any way. We had the spicy gator seasoning added to our tab as we do whenever we visit. She could have easily comped us this off our $100 tab today, but offered no compensation whatsoever. Even after we had asked to be seated outside because we disliked the music SO much. I will add that I got about 2 ounces of a mimosa for their $13 charge. It was so laughable. I have ordered mimosas here previously on other occasions, which were a typical size you'd expect of any restaurant. Then my husband, who always orders the gumbo got a tablespoon of potato salad instead of his normal serving on top of his gumbo. We will NOT be back! SO disappointed to have SUCH a negative experience. Especially on such a special occasion!! read more
