Stopped here on our way through town to the airport. I had searched for a restaurant with gluten free options. This was an unexpected gem! Completely gluten free options and the staff was educated on contamination and handling. We had the whiskey apple chicken and the peach bourbon bbq burger. And the fried green tomatoes. Our favorites included the pimiento BLT ($14) which was a unique take on a BLT, but truly life changing. The savory taste of the pimiento cheese complimented the bacon and fried green tomato in a mouthwatering and awe-inspiring blend. Another standout was the cornbread ($9) which came with a whipped honey butter and honey sauce. The cornbread had a perfectly crisp outside and soft, gooey inside. The honey butter and sauce added just the right amount of sweetness you crave at your breakfast table. We visited on a Saturday without a reservation and the wait took around 30 minutes for inside seating which was better than expected. The waiters were efficient and friendly. Man! I had high hopes for this place. My husband ordered the corn bread which was put of this world. But that was about all that was good. We ordered the spring salads with grilled chicken. It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. My daughter who lives here in Coeur d'Alene recommended this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were going for breakfast and thought it was every day and found out. It was just on the weekends. I made reservations so we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, don't know who our server was she was very nice, but it doesn't say anything on the receipt except party name 4. My husband and I both got the special tacos. I picked pork, but it was a little too spicy for me so I ate one of his beef and he ate one of my pork. The best thing was the Jackie O-rings, that is onion rings Yum Yum. I had coffee and my granddaughter had hot chocolate and she said it was the best hot chocolate she's ever had. She said it stayed nice and hot. She had the classic hamburger and ate some of the french fries and bought the rest home. Very popular place. My partner has family in CDA so I'm always on the lookout to try something new when we're there. Not sure where I found the recommendation for Izzy's but I'm glad I did. Not only is Izzy's a gluten free cafe, the food is next level. Inventive, fresh, flavorful and a blend of traditional favorites with modern twists. I was torn between the shrimp and grits and the Virginia Benedict. The fried Green tomatoes instead of a traditional English muffin sounded too delicious to pass up. It was perfectly portioned, seasoned and balanced. Beautifully poached egg topped with micro greens and tangy pickled white onions nestled between delicious fried Green tomatoes and blackened shrimp. Creamy, velvety hollendaise brought everything together. My partner had a delicious omelet with Idaho potatoes Oh, lavender mimosas with edible flowers were a nice touch too. Only 44 seats including a small counter, so reservations are recommend. But there is great shopping in the area if you have a wait like we did. This is a must try whether you're gluten free or not. I got a Peach Bourbon burger It Came with a good size patty lots of cheddar cheese, shoestring fried onions, not too sweet barbecue sauce and actually had peaches on it! My friend got the Buffalo chicken sandwich which was like franks sauce but better, not just vinegar-y but also had spice. Tasted good with the pickles it came with. Both came with a heaping pile of fresh fries that had skin on them so you knew they were fresh and made out of potatoes They offered fry sauce which was delicious and better than ketchup - not as sweet with thousand island vibes without the pickles. I didn't think I liked thousand island but this stuff was gooood We shared what I thought were gf berry scones but might have been biscuits, they were more doughy then expected but still good. Fun to try once but prob wouldn't reorder. Came with blackberries, blueberries and strawberries and the end of their fresh made whipped cream lol. I'd come back for the brunch because I've heard good things! We missed it since we came around 2:40pm But they have happy hour wed- Fri from 11am -4pm so that was def temping since we hit that time slot and the prices were good on the happy hour menu. My husband and I went here recently while in CdA for a work trip. I was SO happy to find a celiac-safe spot to eat! We had dinner there, and ordered all the things. Cornbread, fried green tomatoes, onion rings, couple of burgers and fries...and it was all delectable! The gf bun on my burger even held up to the next day (since I severely over-ordered and had leftovers). Sad that we missed the brunch, and didn't have room for dessert, but we are so glad we found this spot! The service was great, and the restaurant was cozy. We stopped here for brunch on a weekend. The place was quite crowded and had a 20minute wait time, although our table was ready sooner than expected. We got some coffees and a couple of benedicts -- Idaho benedict and Virginia benedict. I loved the Virginia benediction which contained shrimp, fried green tomatoes and poached eggs. The portion though small, was perfect for me and tasted great. The food took quite a while to arrive, something to keep in mind if you are hungry, you'll need a bit of patience. I found this place when searching for food in the Couer D'Alene area while I was visiting during my time working in Spokane. I came in and was seated. I decided to sit at the bar. I came on a a weekend and it was a little busy, but luckily I had gotten there close to their opening time, so it did not get out of hand. They have a pretty big menu with lots of brunch options, american style food, burgers, etc. I ordered a classic burger which came with angus beef, garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, red onion, choice-of-cheese on a toasted brioche bun with fries The burger was massive and took some patience and some skills to bite without destroying it or getting it all over my clothes. Burger was cooked well and was tasty. The fries were also pretty decent. I will have to say, I definitely recommend the burger. Wow. Where to start? The food is absolutely amazing we ordered the pimento green tomato BLT and the apple chicken sandwich. I wish I took pictures but one bite and it was game on. Rockstar quality for sure. Rider was our server extremely nice as well as all the staff that stopped by to refill our drinks : clean plates.
