    2 egg with sausage patty
    Amy F.

I was in town with my family for a wedding and we needed a breakfast spot to kick off the day. We settled on this spot and were not disappointed. Upon entering I loved seeing the old wood paneling and green vinyl seats. Such a nostalgic feel to the place. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their breakfast and we all left satisfied. I personally had the 2 eggs breakfast with sausage patty with biscuits and gravy. The sausage patty seemed homemade as it didn't have the look or taste of your typical frozen patty. The eggs were cooked to a perfect medium. The biscuits and gravy stole the show. I like to consider myself a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy as I try it at just about every place it's offered and this one might just make the top 3. The biscuit was fluffy and dense but also a little crispy on the outside. The gravy was flavorful and full of sausage, no skimping here. I also tried my dad's chicken fried steak and my mom's zucchini bread. Both were divine! Happy we stumbled upon this spot and would gladly come back.

I had breakfast here twice while in town because it was so delicious. The portions are massive so they could easily be shared. The Benedict has such great hollandaise sauce, and I loved the potato's

Friendly place- even the customers are as friendly as the staff! Hometown favorite, always fresh, hot and delicious food! Been visiting this place for over 20 years and it's never a disappointment. Only problem for us now is we can't finish the generous portions as we're getting older. Cozy & warm with a family atmosphere- try it!

As always, this place rocks. I've been coming here for quite a few years now and decided to change things up and go with the Bagel Florentine for the first time. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll ver order anything different in the future. Yes, it's that good. Paired with a fresh bowl of fruit it, was delish. My wife had a two egg breakfast which I'm told was outstanding as well. Service was super friendly as always. These guys make you feel likely family. If you've never been, you should go. If there is a line at the door, it's worth the wait.

    Potatoes and eggs over medium

My husband loves breakfast and is always in search of a good staple restaurant. This one certainly checked all the boxes. Great food, plentiful and friendly service! We all chose a different meal and nice size potions. The zucchini bread was amazing and the potatoes had so much flavor. I am a very staple, eggs over medium, person and they got it perfect. Yum!

Arrived at 9:50a on a Saturday, waited outside, got to chatting and missed our name being called.. but got seated at 2 minutes after we questioned the delay at 10:45 (was sunny outside and Vantage Pointe had some music playing on the patio, had fun watching the children run around playing). The zucchini bread arrived within minutes of sitting down! Soft, hot and fluffy. A MUST GET MENU ITEM! The Saratoga (cream cheese chive eggs) was decadent in its' simplicity. 'Three eggs'?! The poor hen must of had gestational diabetes.. these eggs are huge! The Tri-Tip Beef Ortega is (almost) a fork and knife sammich, with a cheese to hatch chili ratio that is sure to stick to even a 13yr old's beard. I won't need to oil my mustache today. Service is FAST, whole meal was in front of us and finished in a fraction of the time we waited. Music selection was a pleasing mix of 1970s - 2010s stadium hits. A contender for best breakfast in CDA.. might need to try again

Two Eggs With Choice of Meat Fruit Cup

I've been to Michael D's Eatery several times, and this time it definitely did not disappoint. I usually get the Biscuits and Gravy when I go there, but today I got the Two Eggs With Choice of Meat. For my choice of meat, I chose bacon. The food was delicious! It was my first time ordering this, and it's provided one of my new favorites. I also had a side of Zucchini Bread and a Fruit Cup side. The waiters and waitresses are always very kind and the food always comes out quickly (even when I'm there with a bunch of other people). It's also a very cute restaurant and I love it. I don't get the chance to go there often, but when I do it's a nice treat.

Went back after about 15 years to see if it was as good as childhood memories say. And it was! We got the hot chocolate, market spice tea, french toast, irish scrambler with biscuits and gravy, a side of bacon and a side of hollandaise. The spice tea was a bit too strong of cinnamon but everything else was SO GOOD. Not too sweet, not too salty. Will definitely be back!

    Zucchini bread - YUM!

Solid breakfast spot on the eastern side of CDA. The portions were large and food was good (not great, but good). I loved their zucchini bread - very yummy! Husband ordered the chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. He said the biscuit was top notch but the gravy was just ok - not a lot of sausage in it and a little watery but good flavor. The chicken fried steak was actually "meaty", if that's a thing. . Not used to actually tasting the meat in CFS because a lot of places you can only taste the breading because it's so thin. Cute old-mountain-diner vibe inside. We got there at 10:30 on a Thursday and were sat right away although there were a lot of full tables. Service was quick and efficient.

This is the best place for breakfast in CDA, hands down! The paleo pancakes are my favorite, and the coffee they serve is so good!

We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.

The restaurant was very busy with a steady flow of the post church crowd, locals and tourists. The staff was quick to get to us, which required some magic and although we had to wait a bit, we were kept posted how long. We were seated, greeted and had coffee and drinks in front of us with minutes. Sarah, our server, was on it. She catered to our three kids with crayons, activity sheets and fun super hero masks. Our order was placed and in front of us within 10 minutes. The food was delicious, with large portions and very nicely presented. Our coffee cups/water were checked and filled when needed. We were never rushed to empty our seats and fully enjoyed our time. This, as always, was the best experience with a lovely crew and great food. When we were leaving and exiting through the doors, a man that was apparently annoyed we weren't leaving soon enough and told staff they should force us to leave, became very loud and agitated with the staff and slammed the door in the managers face. We were a little concerned for our group as he was picking an argument and we had small children. I was very impressed that the manager Michael, promptly came to deal with the situation, told the individual he could leave with his group and he would not be served due to his disruptive and threatening demeanor. He was told he was trespassed from the business. It was handled professionally in every way by management. I personally went back and spoke with the manager after the individual walked to his car, who continued to yell threats of bad reviews and obscenities, to tell him that we felt he handled the situation with professionalism and assured him we would continue to frequent Elmers and recommend them without hesitation.
