The server was very attentive and informative with his recommendation! We ate chicken wings which were amazing, 5/5 fall off the bone. Cauliflower tacos which were sweet, acidic, crunchy perfection. 5/5! My husband had the mole bowl and said it was solid 4/5. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich but didn't care for the kimchi. If you like kimchi it'd probably be good but the flavor just wasn't our cup of tea 3/5. I had a little bit of time before my check in at my hotel, so I decided to get a bite to eat. This place has popped up on my feed numerous times since I arrived in town, and decided to check it out. This restaurant is actually an old house that got turned into a restaurant. It is a historical site, I didn't read too much in depth about what it was, but if it's for hot chicken sandwiches, then I can see why. Walking into the place was like walking into someone's home. Literally. It was super warm and inviting, had kind of a rustic feel, and just Good vibes all the way around. I got seated at a table, and started looking over the menu. There was only one waitress there, and she was running around like a crazy woman trying to take care of tables. Tables. She did a great job though so my hats off to her for making sure that every table felt like they were taken care of. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with fries, and a diet Coke. Because hey, I have to watch out for my girlish figure. The sandwich came out, as well as my drink right on time. And so I Dove right in. For starters, these were some of the best french fries I have ever had. I'm pretty sure they're using Lowry's seasoned salt on them, but I can't be sure. Whatever it was. They were super tasty and super crispy without having to be asked for them. Crispy The chicken sandwich itself was great, had a great buffalo sauce on it and had just the right amount of coleslaw and pickles. Every bite was a wonderful experience. I love finding cool new places that I can share with the world, and this is definitely one of them. If I am ever in the Post Falls area again, this will be one of my stops to get a bite to eat. Bottom line? If you are ever traveling through Idaho and find yourself in Post Falls, I would highly recommend you go to this place. I've been coming to Republic for 5 years, and enjoy it every time. I usually get the Republic Burger, but all of the food is good. The service is quick, but they give you just enough time to decide what to get, so you're not rushed. Republic is busy, but never too busy. It's the perfect atmosphere for a family dinner, a date night, or even a solo trip. I meant to take a photo of my meal, but I inhaled it so fast! read more

That's it. That's the minor complaint. Let's move on to the good, shall we? The food was awesome. The wife had the PB&J burger, which was a Thai-themed peanut sauce and hot chili pepper jelly burger, and it was just outstanding. I had the bacon and cheese Monte Cristo, and again, it was outstanding, with a sharp mustard that cut through all the savory flavors. The beers were good. The garlic cheese fries had chunks of cooked garlic all over them. The seasoned fries were crisp and tasty. The staff was friendly. This place is definitely on my do-again list. read more

We just went for dinner and ordered the fish and chips. Fish was totally raw, they offered do rush a 2nd order. 2nd order was better but way undercooked still on each portion of the fish. Was assessed a $4 surcharge on the mac and cheese without requesting it...Staff admitted to the error but did not offer to remove the charge. Also, when the check was delivered an additional 3% surcharge for credit card use was added. This was NOT disclosed on the menu. It was disclosed only after the credit card signature was requested.
