My past four or five reviews have been related to mediocre places. Whether they were restaurants or breweries or something else. I can't remember if I've ever reviewed Moon Time in Coeur d'Alene Idaho before... but I'm happy to say I finally I'm doing a review of a place worth going to. Super friendly staff, and the food was incredible. I had the Thai chicken, peanut wrap, with corn pasta salad. Absolutely love the pasta salad! They've raised prices a little bit since the last time I was in here but that's OK. I will gladly pay more for a good quality and a good experience. Raise a pint to Moon Time!! read more

Every other time I've come to Moontime, I've had the Moon Burger. But today, I tried something else; the Turkey Pot Pie. It was delicious and tasted very home cooked. It reminded me of my mom's cooking. It was also perfect for someone still getting over a cold. The employees always make me feel welcome and like I could stay as long as I like. The restaurant also has a pub atmosphere, but is still kid friendly (and family friendly). I have seen people come here with their babies, and people come here with their grandparents. A classic Coeur d'Alene restaurant along Sherman Avenue in (near?) downtown. When I first moved to Coeur d'Alene this was one of the most recommended restaurants. We had a really great time. Our server was welcoming and friendly. The menu is somewhat limited, I had a burger and it was very good. There's a decent amount of seating inside, and plenty of parking outside. The only thing that brings this down to four stars was that the gumbo wasn't very good. But it's a cool little restaurant with a breat atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out. read more

The French dip was comically bad. Au jus had almost no flavor, the sandwich was lacking in every conceivable way you could imagine. The burger was good. There was a lot of Greek food so if you aren't into that the menu is very limited. Also, it's a bar that does not offer any fries or tots. I get what they are shooting for but if you aren't into leaning that way your sides better be on point. There were not. Pricey for food that didn't impress. read more

Holy smokes...this place had the goods. I had the Peach Habanero meatloaf sandwich. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It's lunchtime! A cup of the soup of the day and a half Caesar salad was the perfect combo. I wish I could remember the name of the soup but it was a cheesy potato chowder and tasted delicious. First of all, our waiter was very responsive to special requests, and came to check on us often. We had a large party of 10, with 4 littles between 2 yrs & 6 yrs. I had one of the daily specials; Ravioli's in a creamy pesto poblamo pepper sauce. It was spicy, but good. At first I thought the portion was too small, but by the time I finished it I thought it was almost too much. It was very rich. Other adults at our table had a Ruben sandwich with the special pasta salad, Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, gumbo, and pork tacos. The littles had buttered pasta with shredded cheese, and PB & J's. And yet another home run on our golf trip. We were 3 for 4 on this golf trip.Moon Time was hometown awesome. No not our hometown but CDA hometown. Definitely a local fave and that is always the best sign. Our server Charlie provided us with exceptional service and the kitchen had everyone happy with their orders. Moon Time was one of the restaurants I paid a visit to and had a meal at on my most recent trip to the Couer d'Alene area . I was highly impressed with my order which was Banh Mi Tacos. It had all of the ingredients that make up a Banh Mi sandwich only street taco style. The pork that made up my sandwich was delicious! The food was extremely fresh and tasty. Probably one of the best meals I had during my trip and all of the restaurants I really enjoyed! An extra bonus is that Moon Time is open a little later than many other restaurants which I am grateful for because it always seems to happen that once I am finishing activities many restaurants have or on the verge of closing(which in the broad scheme of things isn't that late)leaving not a lot of dining options and a slim to none situation develops. Came here one day after Silverwood and did not regret it one bit! It's right across the street from my favorite breakfast spot. The staff were super kind. The food was tasty and affordable! The jambalaya was actually quite spicy and this is coming from a man who orders the highest spice level everywhere he goes in the PNW. The brownie and ice cream is so simple yet delicious. We stopped here on a road trip because they serve food after 9pm. It was also close to our hotel. I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere was welcoming and fairly quiet during our visit. I quickly picked the table with bookshelves because I love books! The server came quickly and did a great job explaining the beer choices. We ordered the swimming angel and it was AMAZING! Cool little place with a fusion menu just a bit outside downtown. I had the smoked tomato ravioli, and my wife had the chicken souvlaki. Both were outstanding. The draft beer selection was also rather good. The place was pretty full on a Wednesday, but our server was on top of her game. Food came out quick. Beers refilled with haste. JUST delicious. I had the chicken and spinach with rice and Thai peanut sauce, with cucumber salad. My husband had a patty melt on marbled rye with homemade potato salad. The breads seemed homemade; the recipes were delicious and executed very well. Great selection of beer also. We moved to north Idaho from foodie Berkeley, and I can say that this was one terrific lunch. Relatively quiet and relaxed, compared to being right in downtown CDA; excellent service.
