A tribute to our serving and fallen.

First time to this place and I loved it. I had the fish and chips with home made potato chips and they were great. My wife had some monster burger.with sliced steak and it was not only huge but great burger. Only ate half will eat the rest later. We got fried mushrooms as appetizers and I would go just for those so well prepared and hot and fresh. If that was not enough they have a huge variety of homemade pies. I got this peach crumble madness of goodness and my wife got the turtle pie. Just amazing. I will be coming back next week to try other things on the menu and if they are even close to what we had today I just can't wait. And when we were going to leave they had a great tribute at the bar.

What an absolute gem! Hidden away a little off the beaten path and you will find amazing food, gorgeous views and friendly service. The wife and I are extremely happy we made the little detour to this bar. We will be back many more time.

This was the most delicious food I've had in a long time. Huge portions for a great price! Very friendly and fast service. We didn't even need meals after the appetizer of nachos.

Great place for a beauty Saturday lunch overlooking Hauser Lake from their outdoor deck. Unpretentious, which I prefer. They do a burger that I love that is not seen as much in the PNW anymore....the Pizza Burger. Their's was great. Mozz and pepperoni were a perfect compliment to their excellent house marinara. Great effort on their Steak Fingers, as well. They were obviously house made; a bit chewy, but did not come from a frozen bag, so I thank them for doing it the right way. And the kettle chips that came with the meal would compliment any other lunch item, nicely. The kiddos running the place were all great. Our teenager who accompanied us today said she would love to work here. Who wouldn't--being 20 yards from the water? Absolutely worth the effort to get to, and I'm sure dining inside in January would be just as satisfying. Neat place...

Matt, you are fantastic and so were the girls working today. The taco pizza was terrible and undercooked. But I love the Rainbow. And I support you. I love the history. On the Haunted Tour, you definitely have the best place and knowledge. I would say that you have and know what the others need to find out and that is who is haunting. You have the best handle of it. The rest on the Haunted tour, The Roosevelt, The Flamingo(Bates) and NYC Piano bar, just talk about missing objects, lights, etc., while you have an idea of who and what remains after they are gone. Their spirit(s) and why they are there, you are one of my faves. Find out the girls name!! Tonight, I know the kitchen was anticipating a busy night with the anniversary, so I forgive and will be back because I love you. At the same time, tell the cook to step up the game!!! People are moving in, so there is gain to be had.

A once good place to go to. It has fallen. The owner no longer cares about how the staff treats the customers.

Ordered the Thursday night steak and baked potato served perfect. A wonderful place to dine and have a drink by the lake.

The atmosphere is great and the food was tasty. We chatted with the owners who shared some fun history about the building. We will be back.

Great food, all American classic. Pizza and salads are amazing. During the summer it's a go to spot for drinks.

It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.

It has since become a semi regular place for us when we're looking for breakfast or lunch of the sort that ends up being just about the only meal we'll eat that day. I can't recommend it from experience, but Green Eggs & Ham is what really put Hoot Owl on the map. But for my money, it doesn't get much better than their Ranch Burger. Breakfast or lunch, that's my go to along with an endless cup of coffee and tall glass of ice water. Whoever decided to mix ranch dressing and barbecue sauce deserves and Nobel effing Peace Prize. My wife has tried a number of their omelette and scramble offerings and never been disappointed. And then there's the cinnamon rolls. Brace yourself because it's literally the size of your face. Dripping in frosting and served with roughly half a cube of whipped butter, the cinnamon roll is an event unto itself, and definitely a prime item for sharing with the table. The atmosphere is very cozy and...Rural. It feels like something out of a period film; very down to earth and eclectic with lots of owl knickknacks all over the place. If you've a bad back or bad posture, I'd recommend a table over a booth as the booths are a little short in the seat and very straight backed. Parking is usually not bad, even when they're busy (which is often), but it's in a dirt lot that shares its real estate with a drive through coffee shack. Lots of potholes at the entrance, so depending upon your vehicle, get ready to slalom a bit. The restaurant offers free WiFi to guests and is relatively kid friendly with plenty of high chairs, decks of cards at the table, etc. Service has always been friendly and expedient. They recently started tacking on a 3% surcharge for card transactions, but if you pay cash you get a discount...Of 3%. Heh. Anyway, if you're in the area and you want a big meal at a decent price, this place is fantastic. Forgot to mention prices, but a half pound specialty burger with fries ranges $13-$16, and similar pricing on other entree menu items. Get you some.
