My friend and I took a short drive to Hauser Lake, to try out D-MAC's. Wednesday nights they have a VERY popular Prime Rib dinner special. So popular, it was completely sold out by 6 PM. Our second choice, their 14oz Ribeye was also sold out. We ended up going with a breadless Patty Melt and a bunless Fungus Amungus burger. We both agreed that the beef patties were well flavored and large (we both had leftovers). The view from the bar is wonderful and our server Stacey was great. We're going to try another time to get their Wednesday special, but if you want to try it, definitely get there REALLY early. On a side note, turns out the place is supposedly haunted (didn't experience anything odd tonight). They also have a place that patrons can enjoy Hauser Lake. read more

I ordered a burger and somehow left with trust issues. The food took so long that I had enough time to watch the sun set, rise, and apply for retirement. When my burger finally arrived, it looked like it had survived three natural disasters and a custody battle. The fries had the texture of roofing materials. The cheese appeared to be legally classified as a construction adhesive. A duck from the lake stared at my meal and walked away in disgust. The patio view was nice until a fly started charging me rent for my table. I think it had seniority over the staff. I asked for a refill and aged visibly waiting for it. By the time I left, my phone battery had gone from 100% to 2%, my ancestors were contacting me through dreams, and I was pretty sure the burger was still fighting back. Would not recommend unless you're studying patience, survival, or advanced disappointment. read more

This is for Finklebinder's which is connected to D-Mac's. I honestly don't know why this place wasn't packed on Saturday morn. They have a good breakfast and a cozy atmosphere. Our server was very nice and helpful. It was close enough to lunch, my son ordered the jalapeño burger and loved it. Had fries too that were very good. My breakfast was HUGE. I had The Wagner Plate with pancakes, French toast and three kinds of meet and two eggs. It was quite yummy. Could it have been tastier? Yes, but it's an amazing price and is yummy enough that I'm not complaining. And what a view when you step outside. When it's warmer weather, you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view the whole time. Or you could eat at D-Mac's, which is connected, and also see the view through the large windows. I have not been to DMA in years it's changed ownership so many times just like spinning Top however, when I have gone there, I've had a great time in fact one time my girlfriend and I went there, and we just got hammered and the funniest part of being there was that there was a guy whose girlfriend just broke up with him, and he was like listening to a soap opera Sitting next to him. He just wind and wind and wind. It was hysterical. read more

First time to this place and I loved it. I had the fish and chips with home made potato chips and they were great. My wife had some monster burger.with sliced steak and it was not only huge but great burger. Only ate half will eat the rest later. We got fried mushrooms as appetizers and I would go just for those so well prepared and hot and fresh. If that was not enough they have a huge variety of homemade pies. I got this peach crumble madness of goodness and my wife got the turtle pie. Just amazing. I will be coming back next week to try other things on the menu and if they are even close to what we had today I just can't wait. And when we were going to leave they had a great tribute at the bar. read more

So how can what many call a dive bar get 5-stars? By being a great dive bar. Food was good, reasonably-priced, and well portioned. Likewise with the drinks. Staff obviously glad to see you and make your visit a happy one. Plus a nice view of the lake. read more

Great place for a beauty Saturday lunch overlooking Hauser Lake from their outdoor deck. Unpretentious, which I prefer. They do a burger that I love that is not seen as much in the PNW anymore....the Pizza Burger. Their's was great. Mozz and pepperoni were a perfect compliment to their excellent house marinara. Great effort on their Steak Fingers, as well. They were obviously house made; a bit chewy, but did not come from a frozen bag, so I thank them for doing it the right way. And the kettle chips that came with the meal would compliment any other lunch item, nicely. The kiddos running the place were all great. Our teenager who accompanied us today said she would love to work here. Who wouldn't--being 20 yards from the water? Absolutely worth the effort to get to, and I'm sure dining inside in January would be just as satisfying. Neat place... read more

Stopped in last night for the surf-n-turf special, sadly they were sold out by the time we arrived. The owner "improvized" for me, he substituted a steak to go with lobster! the steak was so large I had enough for lunch the next day. Do yourself a favor, Get to D'Macs soon! read more

Matt, you are fantastic and so were the girls working today. The taco pizza was terrible and undercooked. But I love the Rainbow. And I support you. I love the history. On the Haunted Tour, you definitely have the best place and knowledge. I would say that you have and know what the others need to find out and that is who is haunting. You have the best handle of it. The rest on the Haunted tour, The Roosevelt, The Flamingo(Bates) and NYC Piano bar, just talk about missing objects, lights, etc., while you have an idea of who and what remains after they are gone. Their spirit(s) and why they are there, you are one of my faves. Find out the girls name!! Tonight, I know the kitchen was anticipating a busy night with the anniversary, so I forgive and will be back because I love you. At the same time, tell the cook to step up the game!!! Awful take out. This place was actually pretty good the first couple times I ate there. Takeout tonite, however, was really bad. Taco salad ok but shell tasted like it was fried in very old oil. Fried mushrooms wet and flavorless, along with the fact that we were provided no dip or dressing for same (which is really the only thing that would have made them edible). Fries were hard and horrible. Fish and chips didn't look very good and tasted about the same. Stay away no matter how much you like Hauser Lake. read more

The place itself is super cute. I love cafe lights and cozy bars, and interesting locals. Very small town lake biz type of vibes. The drinks were awesome and the wine spritzer was quite delicious. The salad was good and all that, but the chicken was so dry and the frozen veggies were super watery, the gravy however was so good I wish I still had some. I was not very impressed with my or my boyfriend's main dishes. The appetizers and sides were fantastic, but the burger I had was over cooked and my bun fell apart all over my plate. My boyfriend paid $25 for a medium rare steak, and got an over cooked unseasoned slab of meat. If anything the bar was good and the drinks were good, but definitely don't go out of your way to come here for a meal. read more

Ordered the Thursday night steak and baked potato served perfect. A wonderful place to dine and have a drink by the lake.

The atmosphere is great and the food was tasty. We chatted with the owners who shared some fun history about the building. We will be back.

We had our rehearsal dinner and reception for our wedding here at D-Mac's. The staff was amazing! They set up my decorations for me, held onto my cake for me and were so helpful. They really cared about our experience and spent so much time decorating to make it beautiful for us. They gave us a DJ and he did a pretty great job. He hosted karaoke for us, too, and my guests had a ball! The bartender/owner offered to poor my husband fake shots to help him not get wasted, haha! They were so accommodating and I had quick responses from Erik (restaurant owner) with my requests and questions. I am forever grateful for our special time there. Our guests had a blast! read more

My buddy and I stopped by for lunch. The drive out to Hauser is always pretty, and the blizzard happening at the time made it even more beautiful. I hadn't been to the restaurant since it changed hands (twice since I was last there, I think). The restaurant temperature was much more comfortable than it used to be in the winter. Jackets on during a meal used to be mandatory - not now. The restaurant is in the building where the Rainbow Inn used to be. The place was clean and attractive, with a creative tap list and good menu. We both had sandwiches. The bread bun was very fresh and the sandwich was really good, served with fresh homemade potato chips (WonderFul chips). My personal test of a restaurant is the answer to the question : will I go back? The answer is a definite YES for D-Macs. read more

A group of 28 went there for dinner. They were warned we were coming but had only one cook. It took forever to get all our orders placed and we were not asked if we want bar drinks. When we finally received our orders the food was inedible. The dollar tacos had lunch meat. The taco salad was tasteless. We asked for margaritas and got them in a plastic cup. When paying you had to go to the bar to pay for the drink and then to the restaurant to pay for the meal. Having paid by credit card for my drink which was $3.50 I left a dollar tip but my email receipt showed I left a $3.50 tip. So to add insult to injury not only was the food late and inedible but they cheated me on the tip. It was tooohe worst restaurant experience I have ever had. read more
