This place has struggled in the past but the crew they have in the kitchen and in the front of house now are trying to turn that reputation around. chef Gabe has done an amazing job with the menu and they're always trying new things. I highly recommend you try them again and tell your friends!

Great views of the river and fabulous food, how do you go wrong? On top of that current kitchen offers a 20% local discount. We had forgotten about this jewel right in our backyard, if you haven't been there in a while you definitely should go back and check it out! They also just opened their little sandwich shack down by the marina that's right on the water which is also a great spot. I believe they said it's open noon to 7:00 either Thursday Friday Saturday or Friday Saturday Sunday. My husband's steak was an excellent and my trout was superb including our sides and the side salads were absolutely delicious! When it's incredible view and a reasonable cost, we will be back soon!

I took my little grandson Ayden John to dinner here. We sat on the patio overlooking the river and sunset!! We both had the pan fried trout I had their famous Mac n cheese Auden had the garlic smashed. We both were in heaven!!! We had a tad bit of a wait so the Manger. (a lovely bubbly blonde lady) came out apologizing over n over. We didn't care the ambiance was so over the top we weren't in a big hurry. She brought our food out n was very attentive to us! I've gotta say I was super impressed I'd been craving the trout as I moved to Az in December we don't get much pan fried trout in Az!! Thank you to my new fav place to vacation Red Lion hotel on the river featuring The Current Kitchen!

That said, the **service was fantastic**. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were properly taken care of throughout the meal. **The Food** I ordered the **Peach Bourbon BBQ Burger**. I loved the concept--the sweetness of the peach really complemented the savory beef beautifully. However, the execution fell a little short. There were only **two slices of peach** on the entire burger, and it was significantly **lacking sauce**. Between the minimal toppings and the lack of BBQ sauce, the burger ended up being quite dry. The sides didn't quite help the moisture issue, either. The **fries were very thin and overcooked**, giving them a crunchy, dry texture that made the overall meal feel a bit parched. Izzy's is a solid spot with great people, but I can't help but feel it might be a bit **overhyped by social media**. The flavors are definitely there, but for the price and the reputation, I was hoping for a bit more generosity with the toppings and better execution on the sides. Worth a try if you're in CDA, but maybe ask for extra sauce on the side!

We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.

CJ handles her guests w such professionalism but very funny. The vibe is super chill something cda has needed for a long time . We chose to come back this holiday season to not only have the amazing fresh sheet beignets OMG we ordered two diffrent ones to hopefully take home some ! That didn't happen hahah .
