What a great find in post falls. The staff and ambiance are amazing. The place is a tad small but we were seated right away. The food was excellent and the pretzel is a must!! read more

Cannot find a cozier place in Post Falls for great food and beers. Will keep coming back for more. Try the meatloaf. WOW

This is an outstanding place for dinner. We ordered crispy cauliflower tacos, shrimp poke, and fries, and each dish was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every bite! The waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful, enhancing our dining experience. Highly recommended! read more

Great place. Good food and drinks. Top of my list for a good time with friends. You will not be disappointed.

This is a cute place with outdoor seating and very friendly, helpful staff. The menu was small, but still a variety of choices. I got the bowl of chili, which wasn't bad but $15 for about 1.5 cups of chili is a bit much. My husband got their popular chicken sandwich. Which was a decent amount of food, he said it was good. I think I would only go here again for drinks. read more

Super cool vibe. This is a great date establishment, yes.. take them here. The food is good, comes out quickly. The beer and bar service is so responsive that you will not leave on time and your idiot dog will be home alone too long. And as a result will eat your glasses, and then you will have to use the glasses you used in middle school for 3 weeks, while you wait for new glasses, and you will look like a Harry Potter cast member reject, and your coworkers will look at you suspiciously whenever you use the pointer 'Wingardium Leviosa' whatever that means Ashleigh! read more

Very meh. The house could be cool, but the atmosphere just isn't there. Food is insanely overpriced. Salad with chicken? That'll be $25. Food is decent. Warm drinks. But the worst part was the service. Waitress was annoyed to answer any questions at all. Won't be back. read more

Shared a Northwest Salad with my mom and it was mighty tasty! I haven't had fried chicken in awhile, and paired with the huckleberry vinaigrette and the substituted cotija, it was perfect. It is a smaller dining area during the colder months but a nice extended patio for dining when it's warmer. Nice, attentive staff and plenty of street parking. read more

Yuck. Haven't been in a while. Hair in my burger.. Ugg and then the waitress rushes the payment with her a lot of flies -- need to take the plates now .... That's even worse.. Truly disgusting to know my food was facing so many flies in the kitchen... I understand it's post Falls which is not really regulated but seriously who wants hair and flies. read more

Do not sleep on this tasty pub/restaurant! Everything from the cider to the pork belly/Brussel snack and the "to die for" butternut squash topped with meringue and chili oil gave me mouth gasms for dayzzzz. Not to mention the chill cozy ambiance. 10/10 read more

We were in the area visiting friends and stop for lunch. Love the outdoor sitting area, food was good, they had a good selection. Great customer service, will return next time we are in the area. read more

2021.05.14 - This place is FANTASTIC!!! I got the El Here' Clams and my son got the Himalayan Sea Salt Pretzel to start. The clams were yummy with a little sweetness, full cloves of roasted garlic and a mild broth. The pretzel was soft and flavorful with large salt crystals on the surface and tasty dip on the side. I ordered the "Dirty" Republic Mac & Cheese. It was really cheesy but not overpowering. Nice shells for the pasta and bread crumbs on top. The Pork Belly was delicious. My son order the twice fried chicken sandwich, southern style. It was tender and juicy with a nice batter that was crispy but not hard. The flavor was good but not really distinct. Just a nice, mild chicken sandwich with delicious brioche bun. The Republic Seasoned Fries with roasted garlic cloves was to die for. Soft, tender and moist on the inside .... lightly crispy on the outside. I had a Repub-Chelada - yum! Nicely balanced spice. He had a V2K Hazy IPA - yum, yum!!! None of the bitter finish of your typical IPA and it literally had a "juicy" character with some hints of citrus We had a great time. The vibe of the place is relaxed and fun. The service was a little slow but that might have just been our server. The other servers here seemed pretty attentive. 5 Stars!!! read more

Chicken sandwich was tasty. I had the Korean style and my husband has the southern style. Both

Sorry, we must've caught them on a bad night. Right off the bat, we were served warm beer. The staff reported that their beer cooler was under temperature. Too bad they did not let us know ahead of time so we could've opted not to order the brew. They indicated that the under-temperature cooler is a recurring problem. Seems like an unusual problem for a taphouse. I ordered the Southern style chicken sandwich with french fries, and my date ordered the jalapeño burger with the crisp sweet potato fries. Each entrée was about 20 bucks. My chicken sandwich was gray and rubbery and the portion was small. My fries were limp and cold--like they were baked and seasoned. Seriously. My dates jalapeño burger was decent , but not prepared as indicated in the menu. Her crispy sweet potato fries were chunks of mushy sweet potatoes. Zero crispness. We were so disappointed because we really wanted to like this place. The website offers an interesting menu and an interesting backstory on the location. Both are intriguing. But for us, our actual experience was lacking in both categories. The place is undergoing some remodeling in June. It seems like the remodel is being done by amateurs. Paint tape is on the walls and the edges are sloppy. Not great ambience. No real cohesion to the style or execution. To their credit, the staff were polite and attentive. But the shortcuts on the food, and the food is the main thing, are unforgivable--especially for the price. So, we won't be back. Especially since Capone's is just a few minutes away. :( read more

We tried Republic for the first time today, and we were both disappointed. The double fried chicken sandwich is a huge no go. I'm a chicken sandwich fiend - it's what I look for on menus. They fry it twice.... but once is enough. The meat is overcooked, stringy and dry. The breading wasn't crispy, and worse, it was still grainy and floury as showed in the picture. Literally raw flour breading covered the overcooked chicken. I don't even know how that is possible. Every other fried chicken restaurant can get it crispy on the first try. I think in my case, twice fried just meant overcooked. The side of fries were soggy. My wife's burger wasn't good, but it was cooked and assembled properly. I'm not really giving them less stars for this because it was mostly a personal preference thing for us. The stone ground mustard on the burger was a miss for us, but others may love it. The pretzel was the only thing we enjoyed. I quite liked the pretzel. read more

Food was very good! Elevated mac and cheese. I had the cheeseburger mac and cheese. Creamy mac and cheese, bacon, chopped up burger, more cheese topped and crusty with fried pickles and pickled onions on top. Served in a sizzling cast iron pan. Now the service was pretty indifferent. Not busy at all and I was sitting at the bar. Took 10 min to take my drink order and then my glass sat empty for at least 10 min before anyone came to see how I was doing. The owner and the bartender walked by me at least 4 times with no check in. At that point it was time for the check. I guess they weren't interested in selling me another cider. Recommend for the food for sure! Better service would have rated a 5 star. read more

We love this place. The food is delicious and unique. I love the cute building with a lovely outside seating area. The service is very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back. Absolutely delicious. Best nachos we have ever had. Delicious burger and fries also. Plus, great service and cute decor.

What a special place. Everyone here, especially Kaycie, Daisy and Gerry. One suggestion would be to bring back Belchin Beaver's PB Stout that complements both the palate and ambience read more

I had high hopes for this place because of the amazing food pictures on yelp, but was slightly disappointed. The nice thing is that they were able to seat our group of 8 adults and 6 kids. The food took a very long time to come out. I'd recommend asking for sauce on the side if ordering nachos or fries with toppings, because they overdid it and both our nachos and fries were way over sauced and soggy. Maybe they were sitting for a while? They had a jalapeño burger that I was excited for, but when it came out, it was not spicy at all. I did enjoy my shrub cocktail. When it was time for the bill, our waitress took so long. We tried to tell her at the start which families were together, but she insisted that she had a easier system. We waited about 30 minutes for the bill, and it was all messed up. She even got mad at us! Since she was old, we gave her a break and just paid whatever bill she gave each family and just paid each other back. What was supposed to be an hour and a half stop for lunch on the way home from camping turned into 3 hours, which was mostly waiting, waiting, waiting.... Sadly, none of us will be coming back. read more

Great food and ambiance! I love eating here. Really cool conversion from the house to this restaurant. :)

Stopped by for lunch after visiting Buck knives. I had the jelopeno burger and wife had fish and chips. The sweet potato fries were great, light sweet glaze. The burger was terrific, great beef, thick bacon and perfectly fried jelopeno s. Nice heat without being over powering. Nice Northwest selection of beers, tried two, an ale and a No-Li IPA, very good with the food. Fish was lightly battered and she said GOOD. Patio was perfect for a September lunch- ps good service, even though pretty busy. read more

We were starving and stopped here for lunch. The staff was super nice and attentive but the food was just okay. Maybe we didn't order the right things. We got a burger and the twice fried chicken sandwich. My father didn't care for the chicken sandwich, the chicken was a little too crispy which made it hard to eat and somewhat dry. The burger was just okay. The fries and pickles were great. They have a cute outdoor eating area. Pretty small inside read more

Middle of the road here. I use to come here all the time, until recently I went to order a "to go" order. I had my young daughter with me and was ordering at the bar, no where else you can order due to it being extremely small, leaving little room for people to even pass, the server said my daughter couldn't be in the bar area. What!? Do we stand outside to order? Not sure what she expected. Needless to say, I won't be returning. However, if you can deal with the stupidity of that one server who has poor hygiene, I recommend everything. Unique plates, slightly over priced but at times, it's okay to spend a little more. Owners should have a place to go orders without standing by the bar. read more

Food Coma Keith.. thank you. I was on my WAY to the CDA resort for dinner but the reviews were just too good for this place. First of all.. I LOVE buffalo cauliflower. This place has one of the best dishes of BCC in the entire PNW. I promise I didn't want to finish my plate.. oooooooops I did. Thank God I did 7 dance classes this last week to make up for some of the calories I inhaled at Republic. Ordered the Pork Belly. Don't let it fool you... there is some MEAT on this Belly. I keep trying to become a vegetarian. So close until shizzle like this. Oh.. my word it was delicious. Ok... I was then generously offered a tasting of the goat cheese grilled cheese. Did you notice there are BEETS on this grilled cheese? Fudge.. so Amazing!!! I sent a picture of my food to my son and he said "mom it's as if that restaurant knew you were on your way". Stop here at eat!! I also learned that the owners one several.. I mean a TRUCKload if other restaurants. I checked out some of the menus and those also look amazeballs!!! I have been to the republic about five times. I felt it was time for a review. :) The small house is situated in a residential area and is a Victorian style house on the national registry for historic places. It has a small bar and great shaded front deck. If I can describe their food in one word it would be unique. Today I went with my daughter. She is a picky eater but loved the crispy cauliflower tacos. Today I had the twice fried chicken sandwich Korean style with sweet potato fries, both delicious. Every meal I have had here has great flavors that you probably haven't tasted before. The service has always been excellent. It can get very busy during peak hours . They have several craft beers on tap and unique drink concoctions . I don't get five stars for restaurants often but I think they are deserving. Treat yourself ! read more

Well I had high hopes it was super busy when we got there. We put our order in and then waited and waited....for over an hour. They weren't busy after about 15 min of being there but they were so slow. Then the food arrived well this award winning burger was not great. The burgers are thick but only take up half of the bun and they were way over cooked. So we won't be going back. Fries were mediocre. For the cost it was so not worth it. read more
