    BUFFALO CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK
    Caren N.

Came in town for a tournament, looked for a place that was local and small, and this place fit that spot! The owner was super helpful and friendly to help get exactly what we wanted. The Buffalo chicken was perfect! I am not a blue cheese fan so added ranch instead. The amount of meat and the ratio of ranch to Buffalo sauce was perfect. The bread was super soft and so fresh! The Philly cheesesteak with the peppers was perfection. The sandwiches were both huge and so filling. Very glad we found this spot and hoping to get back before we leave.

Back in PA and made it a point to get me a Philly. New owners and they are making food the same delicious way as the previous ones. It's definitely a spot to hit.

Looking for the best Philly? Check out this family owned spot serving up incredible cheesesteaks, pizzas, hoagies, sides and more! Highly recommend the Pizza Fries & Eagles Cheesesteak loaded with mushrooms, grilled onions, peppers and Cooper sharp cheese! Plenty of parking in the front and a lot behind the shop! I wish it wasn't raining when we visited since the patio was so cute! Phenomenal service and recommendations! We will absolutely be back!

    Yummmmm. Wiz fries.

I was in Phoenixville for work and looking for a highly rated place for lunch. I found Philly Cheesesteaks on Yelp. PC was about 10 minutes from my appointment so I thought I'd give them a try. They are a small pizza place from the outside, so you might think, is this really the place? YES IT IS. I got a cheesesteak with onions and cooper sharp and a side of wiz fries. Awesome, awesome, awesome AND they have birch beer! The steak was HUGE on a fresh Italian roll with a large plate of wiz fries. Portions were large and I ended up taking 1/2 the steak home. The owner is incredibly friendly and we had a great conversation about Italy and travel while I enjoyed my lunch. I can't wait to go back!

Terrific place for the money and location! If you find yourself in the area and crave a good ol' fashioned cheesesteak, then Philly Cheesesteaks will hit the spot. Very friendly service. The person working the counter said she was the owner's daughter. She told us about how she had gone on a cross country road trip, trying to hit as many states as possible. They have license tags from various states hanging up. It was a cool environment and super welcoming. My sister and brother in law were visiting from Kentucky, and she just made them feel right at home! The onion rings might be the best onion rings I've ever had. I'd go out of my way to get those onion rings again. Outstanding.

Philly Cheesesteak (4/5): Ordered this with cooper sharp cheese, hot peppers, and fried onions (which were actually grilled onions). The beef was pretty simple and tasted great. I liked that the bread was soft, but didn't get wet and mushy at all. The cheese was a little lacking in flavor, but there also might just not have been enough cheese (the whole thing was a little on the dry side). I REALLY liked the onions (next time I'd order with extra onions). The hot peppers were good, but I think I would've preferred no peppers to bring out the other flavors more. Cajun Fries (4/5): Solid fries with a decently crispy outside and soft inside. The Cajun seasoning was mediocre (and it looked like it was just sprinkled on at the end) so I'd just get regular fries next time. *Very friendly staff RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Forgive the mess behind the food.

Went looking for a cheesesteak. I found Philly Cheesesteaks in Berwyn and decided to give them a shot. I did miss it on the drive by the first time so had to make the block to get back. I ordered their Eagle Steak and a fry. The food was phenomenal. The cheesesteak was cooked perfectly and was giant. The fries were good but since I was more interested in trying to finish the sandwich I must admit they were cold when I got to them. Katie took my order and was extremely pleasant to chat with while waiting on my order. I will definitely be back on my next trip and will eat onsite so nothing has the chance to cool down. There is a nice patio seating area in addition to the tables inside.

I was visiting Philly & really wanted a cheesesteak but the well known spots were an hour drive. I found this place & it had great reviews & was only a 7 min drive. I am so glad I went and got it because it was the best cheesesteak I've EVER had! Last time I visited I had a cheesesteak from one of the two well known places in Philly, & this one was 10 times better! Flavorful, cheesy, the meat was fresh & well seasoned & the bread was absolute perfection! The sandwich was huge, I was only able to eat half. The service was great also, quick and friendly. Overall 10/10, I can't wait to go back and have another!

This is not your local pizza spot, this is your wine and dine with luxury pizza options spot. And…read moreit is worth trying. Their happy hour is a great deal and worth to try something new. They made an insanely good aperol spritz! The stromboli was enough for 4 people and packed with delicious mini pepperoni! I actually wished there was something fresh to contrast with all the richness but we did not regret that choice at all. The benches are all hard and it's a bit chilly and loud, I could tell they do tons of take out orders just like a normal pizza spot. But I liked the little special night out vibe without having to spend 4 hours or a ton of money.

Continuing my alphabet series, P is for Pizzeria Vetri representing 2021, and perhaps I complete the letter P through 2024 if it works out. So, this review is strictly based on the food & customer service while there and the personal aspect of what happened with this place has no bearing or bias in this review. I visited for a weird time of like 4 PM late lunch-early dinner on a Sunday in August 2021. I believe this place had just opened not long earlier than my visit & shares the same area as a large Anthropologie store & a nursery. I walked in, promptly seated. Server was cordial & efficient. Not the friendliest but cordial enough. I got a Calzone, which was solid. I've had some better calzones before, but it was above average. It wasn't over cooked, a good amount of topping in there. I think it was 2 choices meat & veggie. I stopped eating pork about 2 months after this visit. So, I'm not sure I'd get a calzone if I hypothetically ever went back to a location in Philly as I don't like onions & a couple of other veggies I'm not a big fan of, here, or where ever there are locations. Maybe, I'd get pizza, hypothetically. So, my behavior was a bit erratic in 2021. 2020 was a bad year with Covid being the main factor. In 2021, I had some angst from dealing with Covid stuff for a while and then things were kind of back to normal in summer 2021, but I still did some weird things as I didn't enjoy life so much after a full year of Covid. So, I had visited my parents, who moved in Lancaster earlier in 2021 that weekend. On that Saturday, we went to Devon & other areas; my mom looked in Anthropologie & nursery as did I to a lesser extent. I explored on my own looking at the menu of this place, flirted with the host. I had this wild idea to eat there on Sunday out of my way home halfway between Baltimore & DC. But I also added visiting my friend & his parents in Hockessin, DE very close to the PA border, who was recovering from hospital stay at his parent's house; he lived not far from there. I got her phone # after my delicious meal, and thankfully, got to see my friend who had a tough summer and meet his parents, who were very nice. Ultimately, not surprisingly, nothing ever developed from getting that phone #. In conclusion, good calzone and memories of that day.

Updating my review because like I said before, I WANT to give this place the 5 stars like I know it…read moredeserves! The pie I previously ordered has since been taken off the menu for the sole reason of it just being too saucy of a pie for that thin crust. The owner Vince reached out to me regarding my last review and was SO polite and appreciative and offered a Trenton pie on the house. I was reluctant to accept at the time because I don't ever want a review of mine to look like I'm fishing for money back or free food, but I decided to take him up on his offer tonight and I'm so glad I did. I received a Trenton pie, and I decided to try the Italian pork sandwich with provolone as well. Let me just say the customer service at this shop is outstanding. Everyone I encountered was just lovely which really could have just made me bump them up to 5 stars based on that. I met Vince when I went to pick up the order and got to chat with him for a bit. He told me all about his business and educated me on his personal recommendations/where they get their bread/the things that are homemade etc. He was really such a pleasure to talk to and his passion for his shop and the quality of food he puts out is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to the pizza shop business. It should be more common in the business to be so passionate but it's not, and honestly that is what sets Carla's apart from other places. Okay, NOW I will talk about the food. The Trenton pie was spectacular! This pie was perfect which is dangerous because I could not stop eating it once I started. I wish I was kidding. The crust was perfectly cooked and held up to everything on top. It had a perfect crisp and 0 flop. The sauce on top was a perfect ratio to the cheese. It is unbelievable how thin they get this crust. You were right Vince, I liked this pizza WAY better than the first one I ordered! Can we talk about the pork sandwich though, oh my goodness. I went pretty plain with my order as I only got roast pork with provolone, but the bottom was slightly dipped in the au jus which was the icing on the cake. The bread soaked up the au jus nicely while not making it overly soggy or falling apart. The pork itself though was delicious! It was very tender and the thing I loved most about it was there seemed to be black pepper mixed in with the pork which complemented the au jus perfectly. I'm not kidding, I think I'm going to have dreams about those flavors going forward. I could probably drink that au jus, but I won't. Please give this business a try because it's people like this that are in it for the right reasons and it shows through their food! I will be coming back here often.
