I was in Phoenixville for work and looking for a highly rated place for lunch. I found Philly Cheesesteaks on Yelp. PC was about 10 minutes from my appointment so I thought I'd give them a try. They are a small pizza place from the outside, so you might think, is this really the place? YES IT IS. I got a cheesesteak with onions and cooper sharp and a side of wiz fries. Awesome, awesome, awesome AND they have birch beer! The steak was HUGE on a fresh Italian roll with a large plate of wiz fries. Portions were large and I ended up taking 1/2 the steak home. Came in town for a tournament, looked for a place that was local and small, and this place fit that spot! The owner was super helpful and friendly to help get exactly what we wanted. The Buffalo chicken was perfect! I am not a blue cheese fan so added ranch instead. The amount of meat and the ratio of ranch to Buffalo sauce was perfect. The bread was super soft and so fresh! Went looking for a cheesesteak. I found Philly Cheesesteaks in Berwyn and decided to give them a shot. I did miss it on the drive by the first time so had to make the block to get back. I ordered their Eagle Steak and a fry. The food was phenomenal. The cheesesteak was cooked perfectly and was giant. The fries were good but since I was more interested in trying to finish the sandwich I must admit they were cold when I got to them. Katie took my order and was extremely pleasant to chat with while waiting on my order. I will definitely be back on my next trip and will eat onsite so nothing has the chance to cool down. I was impressed with the extremely generous portions - I was stuffed after eating just half of it and ended up taking the other half home. The steaks were delicious, and the rolls were fresh and soft. Also, our 11 year old son - a VERY picky eater (especially when it comes to pizza) - gave an enthusiastic two thumbs up to the two slices of his thin crust pizza. Plenty of delicious dessert selections, too, including New York cheesecake, Tiramisu cake, and chocolate cake. Service was fantastic, the atmosphere was welcoming and bright, and we had no trouble finding a parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. They even had outdoor seating, which perfectly complemented a glorious summer day in a beautiful town in the Philly 'burbs.
