Stopped by on a whim last night just before 6 PM. Not a huge place but very busy with lots of folks working hard to take care of everyone. The place was quite loud. Our server was very friendly. We decided on a couple draft beers and on Mondays they have a burger special for 1/2 price. I got the Casey's burger cooked medium well and it was fantastic. Served with chips or an up charge for fries, sweet potato fries, salad. The extra charge for the salad ($6!) was a bit too much for my liking so I stuck with the chips. We were in and out in 45 minutes and would gladly return if we found ourselves in the area. Great find. read more

We had a great lunch here. Our server was awesome. When he found out we needed to charge a cell phone, he gave us his own battery pack to charge it. Everything we had was really good, cheese steaks and wings were great. My son loves wings and he declared these to be the best ones he's ever had. It used to be great, but in the last year it's completely become a different restaurant. it used to be one of the best on the main line; but now the service is deplorable. Casey's pour House is an old standby 'staple' on the mainline. I consider it to be like old fashion club food in the very best way. Fried oysters and chicken salad all the way !! It's a great place to stop in after a Sports game with the kids or if you just craving good old fashion, comfort food. Get their Bavarian pretzel for the kids. It's delicious! They have a terrific French onion soup too! Their appetizer menu is standard with delicious chicken wings, clams, mozzarella sticks, coconut, fried shrimp, etc. etc. Their side simple salads are delicious (best ranch on the mainline) and their burgers are epic all priced really reasonably well. There's something to be said for hitting this old standard where the servers are familiar, the beer is chilly and the food is comforting, dependable, and delicious. They have nightly specials. I ran into one of my friends parents who said that they come there at least three times a week. So they must have a following for a reason. I'm so glad that they are still in business. We have to keep establishments like this in our community. I can't wait to go back this week for back to school night special! read more

It's been since before Covid since I had been here. Had the charcoal cheeseburger medium cooked. I had mistaken charcoal vs blackened. The burger was charcoaled! The service was good and the loud background noise made it difficult to talk with friends without shouting. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

I feel bad for Casey's as apparently they have lost all their salt and seasonings because it was definitely not on any of our food. I was very hungry so I ordered a variety of items and they were mostly disappointing. Good- onion rings, lots in an order and crispy. And the caramelized onions on the patty melt were nice. Bad- Everything else? Patty melt (just a normal burger with toast, onions, dressing) had no flavor and was not on white bread as requested. The pickles were put directly in the box so the juices made the chips half soggy. The boneless wings were plentiful and good tasting sauce but woefully dry. The chicken parmagiana was simply and absolutely bland. The food was hot and well packaged and service prompt. But I have no desire to risk this place and will go where I know the food is full flavored. read more

Easy to locate but difficult to find parking (may have to go across the street). We were seated right away despite our whole party not present yet. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She messed up our order a few times but we didn't mind because who doesn't want more food? But the food was pretty average. We got drinks and appetizers. Just wanted a quick stop to fuel before going bowling that night. I think we got one of everything on the shareables menu. The mozzarella sticks were the best. The nachos were mushy and so was the artichoke dip. The chicken strips were decent and the deep fried pickles too! Overall, it was the exact greasy fattening once a time food we were looking for. Casey did not strike out but he did not hit a homerun. This Cheesesteak leads off with a Conshohocken roll. The conshohocken roll is a great leadoff hitter. The position players really helped this cheesesteak. The mushrooms and fried onions spent some time together on the grill and were very tasty. There was a good amount of cheese. I just wish it was mixed in with the meat better. The meat was the weak Link in this cheesesteak. Casey's was not as well lit as I thought it was going to be for lunch. I love the great marketing with "Pour" in the name but unfortunately part of my experience on Thursday was the other type of "poor." In case you're wondering, this joint and Casey's Public House in Newtown Square have the same owner. The Casey's in Drexel Hill used to be part of the group but is now owned by an ex-partner. So I showed up around 4:45 on Thursday and sat at the very large oval bar. First impressions were spot on. The ATMOSPHERE was typical slightly dark pub. The seating surrounding the bar was booths which I like. The place was spotless. Classic rock was playing by satellite. I would have preferred a TouchTunes juke box but that's a minor quibble. Second impressions were also great. My bartender was quick with my first drink and menu and turned out to be friendly and competent so CUSTOMER SERVICE was just fine. I perused the menu of mostly typical pub grub and went with the Bacon Cheddar Burger for $12. It came with homemade potato chips which is a nice touch. I asked the bartender if the fries were also fresh-cut and he said nope, they're from a bag. My burger arrived quickly and was plated beautifully. Now for the "poor" part. I snagged a homemade potato chip and they were not fresh. I could tell they really had potential but not on this day. The quality of my bun was absolutely amazing. One of the best I have ever tasted. Unfortunately it was served ice cold which is a huge negative for me. If this bun had been lightly grilled I'll bet I would have been blown away! I had asked for my burger medium and it arrived well done. I was not impressed. The good news was it was still juicy and flavorful. As you can tell, my FOOD did not ring my bells. So part of my experience was great but the food let me down. I'm going to go with an overall three stars and hope that my experience was an exception and not the rule. $0.50 WING NIGHT!!!!! That's what Wednesday's are at Casey's! (They have other daily specials but we lucked up w this). The spicy bbq wings were decent and the other available flavors were Inferno, Hot, Mild, Old Bay and Jerk Spice. Their menu is pretty extensive and they have LOTS of what I call Philly foods / favorites such as cheesesteak egg rolls, chicken cheesesteak fries, Philadelphia snapper soup ....so making a decision on the main course was tricky but we both landed on sandwiches. The fries and chips that came along with them were the true stars because they were crispy and both homemade! His prime rib Sammy was yummier than my roast pork as I had to drown that Baby in the Jous that came on the side. The bartender was really good and attentive which made drinks and dinner fun too! I averaged my stars for this review: 2 for ambiance and 4 for food and customer service. This location has about the same menu as the location in Newtown Square, and I think that the food selections are very good. A little something for everybodies' tastes. I ordered the Portobello Burger which came with grilled portobello, roasted red peppers, aged provolone, and baby arugula on a potato bun. I was very satisfied with the meatless option. The mushrooms were plentiful and tasty and I really enjoyed the aged provolone it was a great touch of flavor. Instead of fries I opted for the side salad option and was not disappointed. Very LARGE side salad and it was probably more filling than having a side of fries. Would definitely recommend this choice on the menu. Our server was great and very cheerful. Not too overbearing but noticed when we needed some attention. Although ambiance should not always factor in how a place is rated especially if you are happy with the food and service, I think this place could use a refresher. I understand it is the local town pub and some people like the same old, but when you look at their newer menu style and how great their website looks, the actual physical location just does not match anymore. Newtown Square had a recent facelift and it looks a little more updated, but I think I heard a rumor they no longer have the same owners. Overall as far as the food and service goes I would recommend but I would let people know to not expect anymore than a basic pub even in Berwyn. read more

We shared a roast beef sandwich and an arugula salad. Both were delicious. Also got to enjoy the flyers game while eating outside. Well I have been going to Casey's for 18 years as it is right down the street from where I work. The food is always great and that's why I have Been going there for 18 years. I will no longer be giving Casey's my business and the other 5 guys I was with will not either. We asked for separate checks as no one wants to buy 5 other people lunch. The waitress did not say we could not do separate checks but said can't you just Venmo each other? We politely said we do not have Venmo. Our food came out and was good as always. When it was time to get our checks the waitress threw them in a pile on the table and walked off. When we tried to pay them she said she didn't have time for this and called us asshole's and never returned. I lust left 40 bucks on a 28 dollar bill on the table and walked out. The guys that were paying with cards had to get checked out by the bartender. He informed the guys paying at the bar that it says on the menu they can not separate checks. I have not looked at the menu in quite some time because I know what I want (been going 18 years). We were not informed of this when we asked when we ordered our drinks. I would like some feedback as maybe the root cause of this is just crappy restaurant management software that is not easy to use and is very frustrating? We waited for our soft drinks to be refilled for about ~10-15 minutes (longer than our food took). Our waitress checked on us once in the duration of our visit, and it was to bring us our food. The food was alright mediocre fried bar food that's in my opinion absurdly priced. Outdoor dining was nice but in order to see the TVs for the birds game we were practically ontop of another party. This visit cost 2 of us 60$ (not including tip) for 2 apps and 2 entree & two soft drinks. Outrageous. Not to mention my entree wasn't even an entree but in fact an app. Stick to apps & drinks if that's your thing but there's plenty of places in wayne with better service & better quality food. read more

I really don't know what has happened to the Beef sandwich that has been their signature sandwich for many many years, but it's not the same as it used to be. They now put it on a Kaiser roll instead of a Hoagie roll. I moved down to Baltimore, MD and when I was back up here to visit, I had to make my way to Casey's Ale House for the Roast Beef sandwich with provolone that I loved to get for so many years. I was really dissappointed that it's not what it used to be. It still looks like the same Casey's which is a good thing, but they really need to bring back the roast beef sandwich the way it used to be. I have gotten other things there like the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak and a regular cheesesteak and that was pretty good as well. read more

This review only pertains to the food-- the staff was really nice and it was a clean place. But...it's the worst food we've ever had in our lives...and that says a lot: I eat out at least 4x per week, and I honestly think McDonalds is better than this place (and I've been lucky enough to avoid eating at McD's for over 15 years now). I eat at all kinds of restaurants-- from the pretty cheap stuff to the good stuff. This wasn't good by any standards, unfortunately. It's really not right that they serve this quality of food, and I feel compelled to make that known. We ordered nachos as an appetizer: Super cheap, multicolored chips are always a red flag: The purple, red, and white ones that have no salt, no flavor, & break when you pick them up. Barely any cheese. Guacamole squeezed out of a bag. Mass produced "salsa", likely from a costco jar. I ordered the fish tacos: I got 2 giant fried fish sticks plopped onto watery sauce served on a cheap, bland, store-bought soft taco/fajita shell. The accompanying coleslaw was equally disgusting-- watered down and without flavor. The worst was yet to come: My wife got a burger with cheddar cheese. She said it tasted like the barn the cows were raised in (and she never complains); i went to try it and as I came in for a bite, I whiffed in an awful smell I'd never encountered when eating beef-- it, indeed, smelled like a dirty barn. Not sure what that came from-- whether it was super low grade or whether it was old. And the FRIES! They even messed up the FRIES! Come on! How do you mess up fries. In sum, NOTHING was good here. Hate to say it b/c it's near where we live and we like supporting local spots. read more

Off I drove, seeking a watering hole. A casey's sign and a Harley chuggah caught my attention. It's unlike any bar I have found in PA - and like half the bars I have been to in MA (except the Harley part). The only parts that stuck out; Cheap pints - cool Disinterested waitress - not cool Sandwich 'bar' in the middle of the bar bar - cool? Alternating freezing air and heat blowing on me - wrong kind of cool Cool local feel - (yeah, already told you it's cool, dippy) Trolley train that trucks back and forth along one wall - oh so uncool to make me think of Mr Rogers over a Lager.. We had an incredible dinner at Casey's! Jennifer was an amazing waitress who was very attentive and provided a great atmosphere for our entire family. Our kids even wanted to give her a high-5 and then a hug before we left. We tried the turkey dinner, chicken cheesesteak, linguini and the Mac and cheese. Casey's has been good to me over the past 4 years. I really enjoy the service that I receive, and the beer is always cold...and always changing, which I really appreciate. Tuesday specials are $.50 wings and $2.50 lagers, which is always a good thing. I highly recommend the Spicy BBQ wings.
