Bridge Street in Phoenixville is such a fun area. Plenty of bars and restaurants and a really good vibe. We stopped in at Bistro On Bridge for drinks and appetizers while watching a game. It was just what we were looking for. A nice spot at the bar with cold drinks and good food! We shared the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, and the Cheese Flatbread. The worst--and strangest--onion rings I've ever had. The atmosphere was pleasant, and both the maître d' and the food runner were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, our server seemed tired and disengaged throughout the meal. She rarely smiled and appeared to have little energy, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. I ordered the Bistro Dip with a side of onion rings. The short rib in the sandwich was dry and flavorless, as was the dipping sauce. It was edible, but only barely--I managed to eat about half before giving up. The onion rings, however, were truly awful. They looked like onion rings on the outside, with a crispy coating, but the inside was a slimy, mushy substance that barely resembled onion. I couldn't taste any onion flavor at all. If I hadn't ordered them myself, I never would have guessed they were supposed to be onion rings. Overall, this was one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. The tuna was fresh but it was missing seaweed salad and edamame. Also it was made with basmati rice, which was weird. Normally poke bowls are made with sushi rice. Bistro is always poppin'. Their draft beer list is one of the best in town, and their happy hour specials are great. I mean, I can't think of a single other place that does $1 oysters every day of the week - and they're good oysters! The rotating tap list always has interesting options from far and wide, and their cocktails are delicious too. Bistro has something for everyone, food wise, and seems to be accommodating to different dietary needs and/or restrictions. They have indoor, outdoor, and roof top seating options, with prime real estate on Bridge street - can make for some great people-watching! Bistro is almost never *not* busy, especially during summer and peak days and times. They take reservations; better safe than sorry! The bar may be busy - so be patient and don't be afraid to flag someone down. They offer lunch, dinner, happy hour, and brunch. It's accessible and casual, making for a great spot to gather with friends and family. Staff has always been great, if not a little overwhelmed, but they handle the chaos that comes with a bumpin' spot like Bistro. My friends and I came in to visit for a few drinks. We ordered truffle fries and they served us sweet potato fries and Philly cheesesteak rolls. We ate them because that's what we were served. Two other times while we were sitting at the bar downstairs, they tried to bring us the wrong food and I said no, that's not ours. When we brought it up the bartenders, the bartender "Sarah", immediately said she was getting angry and started cursing at my friends and calling us disrespectful for eating the food that we were served and threatened to kick us out. Neither me nor my friends ever raised our voice, got disrespectful, or cursed; but the staff did. It's concerning that this company hires staff this unprofessional and that our night was ruined. It seems this company profits off of people who under the influence ordering drinks by incorrectly serving and charging them. They proceeded to gossip about the incident right in front of us with other staff. Be careful coming to this restaurant unless you want to get wrongfully attacked by the staff. read more

If management expects its bouncers to deal with intoxicated customers who become violent but refuses to support them when they're assaulted, that's poor leadership. If a customer puts their hands on or punches a bouncer, management should stand behind its employees and prioritize their safety. You hire security to protect staff, patrons, and the business not to be assaulted while simply doing their job. Instead of supporting the people they hired to keep everyone safe, they seem quick to blame or let them go, sometimes without giving a clear explanation. read more

I've been here a bunch of times since the pandemic. BoB is always hosting something around holidays or made up holidays. I like sitting at the bar as a solo, or grabbing a table with a friend or a group. It's a welcoming environment and if it isn't a night that'd understandably be packed (Wed before Thanksgiving, Superbowl, festival days, etc), my experience has been it's easy to grab a table without a reservation. They have a huge beer tap list and it's always rotating. They offer cocktails and some wines, but more of a beer place. Their food menu is vast and a bit of American with Asian fusion and some other international/Americanized inspired faves. They do have a pass-able pho on deck for example. If you're looking for a guilty pleasure, their cast iron brownie ala mode is solid...coming from someone who only eats desserts worth eating. Last time I visited I had their fresh cut fries and wonton tuna bites. The time before that I had their beef pho. The time before that time their Bavarian pretzel. The service has consistently been friendly, pleasant and very attentive whether at the bar, or at the tables. Been here a number of times both for lunch and dinner. Food is pretty good. We almost always start with their Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and Crispy Mozzarella. You only get 3 of the round mozzarella medallions. You get two egg rolls, cut in half for four pieces. On our most recent visit, I had the Smash Burger with a side of fries. These are fresh-cut fries and tend to be a little floppy, so I'm not really a fan, but the burger was good. I've had the Blackened Chicken Burrito Bowl previously, which I liked a bit better. Place tends to be pretty loud when it's busy and there are TV's around the place showing various sporting events going on at the time. During nicer weather, they do offer some outdoor seating; otherwise, the place is pretty big inside with two floors. That said, I would recommend making a reservation, especially during dinner hours. Service tends to be hit or miss and on our most recent visit, it was pretty much a miss. We were left with empty glasses through most of our meal, and despite even asking for refills, it took our server quite a bit of time before he actually got them. read more

Tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed it! We had a large group and while it was a long wait they were able to provide us with two large tables next to each other to accommodate. It was perfect for large groups because everyone could create their own tab and close out separate without having to put orders on one bill. We went at dinner time but later on starting at around 9 PM, it is 21 only to enter and they have two levels with music and drinks. I tried the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, and they were pretty good. They came with a chipotle dip that was a good balance. They also had fries that reminded me of five guys. They were fresh and pretty good as well. They had a couple of mocktails on the menu and the bartender attempted to make me NA version of an espresso martini. It didn't taste like a traditional espresso martini, of course, but I appreciated the fact that they were willing to accommodate and try to make a mocktail version for me. For the most part the service was decent. But at the bar, the service was a little bit hit or miss depending on who was serving you. Bistro on Bridge is one of our favorites and they really delivered when we threw a 75-person event for our son in their upstairs rooms. We worked closely with Nanette, who went above and beyond. She decorated the space, made sure there was always enough food and made sure the guests were satisfied. We received tons of compliments and this is even before we start talking about the food. The guests loved the crab cake sliders, the pesto chicken sandwiches, the pizza, the boneless wings and hamburger sliders. It was a hit. we recently visited first on 3/17 for St. Patty's day, it was cool...no seats at the abr so we had a table for 2. Apps were pretty good, drinks eh....We decided to come back a week or 2 later on a Thursdday night. First thing my fiance noticed was the same waiter that was there on 3/17 was there again, and he realized that bc the server had dropped an order while bringing it out. Apparently, this happened on 3/17 when we visited but I didn't see it. This time however, when he comes out again the waiter dropped a pizza next to us. Next time he comes out he brings our shrimp appetizer and apologizing, I guess when he dropped the pizza our shrimp were with it. The manager had picked up the pizza prior to that but never said anything to us. There's an issue if your server is dropping everything coming out. Not to mention I asked for a flavored margarita and the server was like the bartender couldn't do it. Ok, that's odd I'm thinking. I am a bartender so to make a strawberry margarita all he needed to do was add strawberry puree' which they use for other drinks. Very cool spot with a rooftop beer garden - this is where we sat. Quite busy for a Saturday morning, but they handled all the tables well. The food was good, and it had an okay selection of beers. The reason for the 3 stars is about the prices and the way the costs nickel and dime you. My daughter had a burger that was supposed to have gouda, and she wanted American cheese. The added cost for the American cheese because it was a change. I would imagine the gouda cost twice what American does. With all the restaurants in Phoenixville, I doubt I will go back here any time soon. read more

This is a very modern comfy place to meet up and hang out with friends. There is a decent menu for sharables or to have an entree. The Bavarian pretzel is huge and freshly baked. The sweet potato fries were nicely done and paired with a sweet dipping sauce. The French onion soup is nice on a cool day. My short rib sandwich was absolutely delicious and better than others I've had especially because of the bread. One down side is that the sauce made the paper soggy.
