First visit to MaGerk's and I'll be back. Went about three o'clock this past Saturday and while they were pretty busy, they got our table of six seated right away. Large beer selection and plenty of space; you're not crowded or creeping up on the table next to you. That's important to me. Everyone in my group was happy with their food. I'm an appetizer specialist myself and quite enjoyed the mozzarella triangles and the pretzel bite combo. Friendly and quick service, too. Super disappointed in the food and service. I have been here many times before with my friends and my wife. Tonight they were extremely packed. The server was lacking in service and was absent a lot. The food was way over priced for what I received. The 4 inch lobster roll is definitely not worth what they charged and my wife asked the server many times if the chicken was spicy and she assured her it was not. I tried it and i am an avid lover of spicy and when I tried it it was extremely spicy. I asked for something and never received it from the server. We will definitely be going somewhere else for our anniversary dinner next time. I hope the owner reads this review. read more

I love this place and wish I lived closer! My husband and I had a great experience here and loved everything we ordered! They have a wonderful appetizer menu, so we opted to get pretzel bites (that come with three sauces, all delicious!) As a vegetarian I really appreciated seeing a beyond burger on the menu- put together very nicely I may add. My husband got the nachos. I can't recall which nachos he ordered because I remember there being a whole nacho selection, but you can look at the photo- they looked incredible! Our server was super sweet and attentive. We tried MaGerk's for the first time this week. Overall it was ok. If you like the sports bar scene then you will love it. Lots of big tvs and sports. Ambiance is clean but lacking in overall personality. Our server was nice but not overly attentive. There was a decent selection of beers on the menu. The food was very generic bar food. Very early with your hands food with a couple of salads which didn't stand out. Be careful if you have food allergies as they really do let mark them in the menu or call out the ingredients in the food descriptions on the menu. read more

A fantastic establishment! It it pretty large, and has two floors. Service was superb. The manager even came in and handled our table for drinks since he saw the waitress slightly backed up and he did not want that to affect us and the waitress. I think that was great! The food was great. It came out fresh and hot. There really were not any complaints. We opted for a few appetizers and a few main dish selections. We needed up going elsewhere for dessert. The fried pickles were one of the best my husband has had. He really loved them along with his mom. They were tasty. The bread to pickle ratio was on point. Sometimes they can be over breaded and greasy. I loved the 3 dips that came with my pretzel bites. I never had to choose what to get because it already came with it. The mustard was both sweet and savory. One cheese was smoky and had a very small kick, and the other was a classic. My husband opted for the smash burger nachos. He raved about them. I ordered the shrimp tacos. It came with two tacos, that were dressed in Cabbage Slaw, Cilantro Lime Aioli, Guacamole, Cheese, tomato's wrapped up in a flour tortilla. As soon as we got in we were seated immediately which was great especially at the time we went. Our waiter at the time he was ok, he did have a few hiccups when it came to the drinks as he brought the wrong drink not once or twice but three times. The quality of the food was great the Nachos hit the spot as an appetizer. The main course meals were great. I ordered the Mac and cheese with the chili so I could make my version of Chili Mac. It was great. My wife and father law went the chicken and salad. It had some good spices to it if you like heat. The place was pretty good with all the TVs like a sports bar and just overall a great experience. The waiter did have a few mistakes but he fixed them as why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. So excited to have this is an option for our community. The tv screens of Buffalo Wild Wings without the constraints of the only good food being chicken wings. First off, this place is hot and they don't take reservations so call ahead to see if the wait time is outside of your willingness. Second, service, while on the young side that gave me pause, I have no complaints: kind, attentive and even apologizing when appropriate for drinks being late. That is what I look for in my service as things do happen. Third, food. Well, that is very good. My son got the fried pickles which was basically a jar of pickles. My husband got the French onion soup that he deemed better than Long Horn (which is really good) and I got the Cream of Crab...... ....:.: So, so, so good. I ate it so slow to savor every bite. My husband liked it too but said he would want to have the ability to add old bay or tobasco for his own taste. To me it was divine. Husband got the cheesesteak with sauce, fried onions and long hots and loved it but found the long hots VERY spicy. I got the Mediterranean board which was stunning and our kiddo got the chicken tenders and fries. I could be wrong but I believe this one place that actually makes it own chicken tenders. The wait wasn't horrendous, despite many people waiting outside. Cocktails were great, my friends said the nachos were easily the best they have ever gotten in a restaurant. The island chicken sandwich was perfect and the chips instead of fries made it feel less heavy. If I had room I would have checked out the dessert menu. This place has amazing customer service! I will lead with that, but get onto why in a moment. Before you go in here, know that it is very loud and very crowded! We stopped here at 5 PM on a Thursday night. I was shocked at how packed it was. Yes, it's a new restaurant and has only been open for 3 weeks, and there's nothing like this in Royersford. But wow! I was told there was a 45-50 minute wait. I thought maybe because it was Happy Hour, but they said it had been like that since they opened. That day? Since they opened 3 weeks ago? I don't know. I arrived before my friend and had to wait for him anyway, and once he arrived it was only about 3 minutes before we got a table. Anyway, if you want to watch a game, this looks like a great place. There are many TVs all over, and a wall with a giant TV with 4 different games. There's an enormous bar, which did not have one seat available. It's a hopping place. I ordered French Onion Soup to start, and my friend got the Crab Soup. The menu says they're fresh made daily. He had been here before, and said the Crab Soup was better, and he was correct. Both soups were served lukewarm at first, but our server, Kaitlynn, was fantastic, and whisked them away immediately to heat them up. She provided excellent service, refilling glasses frequently without being asked, and was very friendly. The French Onion Soup is OK. The broth doesn't have much depth or richness, and though there are lots of onions, none were caramelized. I'm not sure I would get that again. The Crab Soup did have a nice flavor and some large chunks of crab in it. For entrées, I ordered the Lemon Salmon Salad and my friend got the Chicken Caesar Salad with blackened chicken. He had it only a few days before and loved it, so got it again. My salad was good, with a nice size serving of salmon. The salmon could've been seasoned a little more, and should've been accompanied with some fresh lemon (it is called Lemon Salmon Salad, right?) but it was still good. I forgot how filling French onion soup can be, so by halfway I was full. Plenty to take home for lunch. We stayed and chitchatted a bit more, then got up to leave. No sooner had I pulled out of the parking lot, I remembered I left my bag of leftovers. Boy was I bummed, as I was looking forward to that for tomorrow's lunch. I called my friend, who was still in the parking lot, and turned around and went back. My friend had gone inside to get it, but unfortunately they had already disposed of it. Then they did something amazing. They offered to make me a completely new salad immediately. I was headed to the gym and did not want another salad right then, so they gave me a $30 gift card to come back again instead!!! That was more than the cost of my salad, so was a very, very generous gesture! I was already looking forward to going back to trying other things on their menu, but now I'll head back again sooner. Magerks's hiring process has dropped dramatically. I have been going there ever since it opened but over the last few months, they have dropped the ball on the kind of bartenders they hire. Inattentive, lazy, only talking to their favorites, rolling their eyes when you ask for a menu. WTF! Another place that started great & is going down the tubes. We had such an amazing experience at this Royersford location. The two bartenders Mandy and Destiny were fantastic. We received the best service even though they were packed during a Flyers game. This establishment opened a few months back and has always been packed so I definitely had to give this a try. First time we went on a Monday so place was literally empty. We were still seated at one of the most gloomiest spots there. After at least 2 moves we finally got a decent seat closer to the bar area. We ordered a few beers and apps to start with. The beer was all mixed up and our order came out wrong. Onion rings had a thick batter which was not cooked all the way and it lacked any crunch. This was an issue during our 2nd visit as well. Rest of food took way long and was mediocre at best. Great experience overall at MaGerks Pub & Grill! The restaurant was clean, the drinks were excellent, and the service was friendly. We had a small issue with our food, but our server, Kate K., handled it right away and made sure everything was perfect. The restaurant seems to be working through some minor growing pains, but that's normal and didn't impact our visit. Just a heads-up--cell service in the area is poor, so be prepared for that. I was expecting to go to McGurk's for dinner after a movie. A friend of mine told me don't do it. I figured I'd give it a try. After driving past the establishment with my wife and speaking to A woman in the parking lot, who said the food is not very good honestly, my wife and I decided to go elsewhere. A big shout out to MaGerk's in Royersford. If you are looking for a place to have that special event you must check it out! We had a large Baby Shower there and everything was perfect. They were very accommodating. They even let us postpone the large party due to weather. It is a first-class and well-run establishment. Adi the event coordinator was terrific from beginning to end. The manager Chad greeted us upon arrival. He even helped us carry things in. The staff that ran the party Connor and Mandy could not have been more helpful and pleasant... Catering to our every need. They went above and beyond! The loft space is beautiful. The food and the presentation were excellent. All of our guests kept saying it was the best baby shower they had ever been to. Very 1st visit I placed a takeout order. I ordered the Burger Jam. Before I ordered, I asked if anything on the burger is spicy. I was told no. However, the bourbon sauce had a kick to it, which I am allergic to spicy foods. Being that I ordered out I did not eat the burger until after I left Magerks. Also, I did request my burger, be medium rare. I told the server just so it's a pinkish red color. however, my burger is neither of them. Disappointing. I'm skeptical to return to Magerks. read more

Tried MaGerks for the first time with my daughter. She lives in the area and says it's hard to get in on a weekend. We went on a Monday night and it was still packed. We did get seated right away though. Majoritaly a sports bar atmosphere but they had a whole section of big cushy booths that looked amazing. We tried the fried pickles, which were very good. We each got a sandwich, on e burger, one chicken to share and try. They were both the MaGerks special. The burger was very good and came with plenty of cheese and toppings. The chicken had very little on it and not everything it said on the menu. It was kind of dry. The sandwiches did not come with fries so we ordered those separately. We got one regular and one sweet potato. Fries were both good, but annoying to have to spend more money on fries when most places serve sandwiches with fries. We got nice drinks and they were good too. The service was good, and the bathroom was clean. read more

The service at Magerks was terrible we had a larger party and arrived at 4:40 pm and were told 20 min wait for a table. A half hour later we still had not been seated although they had seat numerous customers. After checking the manager told us it would be another 20 min as they were waiting on tables to finish. After an hours they told us it was a Friday and it was busy like our party was not significant enough to be seated du to our large party. Met with friends for dinner tonight. All 6 of us were very happy with our meals! I enjoyed the Magerk chicken sandwich. It was delicious. Also got a side caesar salad Perfect amount of dressing and generous shaved parm Top notch salad. Friends had crab cake, burger sliders, roast beef sandwiches and wings. Everyone was happy. My son and I ate lunch at Magerks in Royersford, Pa today.i thought the food was overpriced for what we received. One small crabcake entree for $26.00 which wasn't worth it. I had a small lobster roll sandwich in a hot dog roll, not worth the $25.00 that I paid. There might have been 3 ounces of cut up lobster, if that, on the roll. The service wasn't much better! We had to ask for several items which the girl should have automatically brought out. I would NOT recommend this restaurant , especially for older clientele , as they do not have a senior citizen menu . It's way over priced for what you receive, and the quality wasn't that great!!! I had asked for something in place of the fries, such as broccoli or a small salad, and the girl said we do not substitute . She could have cared less. Not a good experience at all, and I will not go back. Another thing, I work at the Premium Outlets close by , and people are frequently asking me for places to eat in the area.
