This was our first time at Joey Chops. While we were driving up from Virginia, we tried stopping at…read morea popular establishment for a cheesesteak, but the line went forever. So we made a 4pm reservation at Joey Chops. It had always been on a list of things to visit when we are in the area. Parking is a large lot shared with various businesses. We did not have a problem locating a parking spot. Once we were parked we walked in and were seated immediately. The interior is dark in what I call a main dining area which was to the left. But to the right is the bar area and the outdoor seating. That area was bright. Could be because the door was open to the outside dining patio. The dishes were cute. The seating was comfortable. The whole aesthetic was met in many ways, even to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were large, comfortable and they offered extras like lotions and mints. Our waiter Joey was amazing. He was very attentive. The other staff were great as well. From other waiters, waitresses, kitchen staff and food runners. They were all helpful, kind and attentive. We ordered various items off the menu including dessert. I had the She Crab Soup. They had a nice take on it. I live in Virginia so it was a different taste than what I have there, but it was delicious. My son devoured his grilled Mediterranean Bronzino. He had no complaints. The portions were decent. My husband had the Prime Delmonico. He loved it and it was cooked perfectly. I over heard the table behind us thinking about ordering it as well. I almost turned around and said to order it because my husband did and loved it. But, I stayed in my lane hehe. For sides we have the lobster Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts and the blue crab fried rice. Ok, that fried rice was pretty dang good. I was surprised by it honestly. I'd get it again. The lobster Mac n cheese had good chunks of lobster in it and it was perfectly cheesy. The Brussels sprouts had a sweet flavor to it, from the I think pomegranate glaze. It was not overly sweet, it complemented the sprouts well. Last but not least, dessert. I ordered the cheesecake cart experience. Let me just say my cheesecake expectations have gone up. Ha! My cheesecake better be wheeled out on a cart with all the toppings. The cheesecake itself was creamy and sweet. It was the first slices as well. It was fresh. The toppings were perfect, chocolate, fresh whipped cream, strawberries and a brûléed top. The bruleed topping was my go to immediately. We also had an ice cream flight. The pistachio was a fan favorite. Pricing was on point and expected for this type of establishment. I honestly feel the food and presentation meet the cost. We will definitely be returning.

We showed up and they looked surprised and said they weren't serving that night. Second time, a year ago, we were two of only six people in the restaurant and it was just okay. Last Friday we went again. Stood at that welcome station you see in the picture and waited to be seated. Everyone ignored us. After 10 minutes of waiting to be seated, my wife walked in to talk to someone and they saw here coming and went in the back. I asked the woman at the hotel desk what was going on. The desk clerk walked up to the bartender and they began an animated and not-friendly-looking discussion. After watching that for five minutes, we waved to them that we were done waiting and we and our two friends just left and went somewhere else. Weird place. They just don't seem to want to serve people. As far as I could tell there were only 3 people working the entire restaurant. Three tries is enough. We aren't ever going back, and we live 7 minutes away.

I freely admit that I was skeptical at first... But after several satisfying dinners - usually as a…read moreprelude to an evening at nearby People's Light - Fork & Bottle has not only captured my attention, it has also continued to impress. The setting, as you would undoubtedly surmise, is typically hotel-esque in nature. That being said, however, the room still manages to generate a certain generic charm. And I would also hasten to add that the service - even with our various parties of 20 or more - has been excellent in every respect. But on to the food... The dinner menu isn't quite what you'd expect. Take the starters, for instance. The usual suspects - Cesare Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - as you note, are present and accounted for. However, there are also a number of innovative diversions - such as Soft Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with Delco Lager cheese sauce, Pepperoni Bolognese Flatbread spruced up with crème fraiche, ricotta, Fontina & Parmigiano cheeses, and the Ten Million Dollar Dip that features Maine lobster, sour cream, bacon, cheddar, almond, scallions, and Ritz crackers - that manage to grab your attention. Moving on, diners may choose from either the Entrées category or take a more casual route with Sandwiches & Pub Fare. The former, which lists a number of all-too-familiar ingestibles, still manages to tempt our taste buds by teaming them up with some rather intriguing sidekicks. A not-terribly-exciting Pan Roasted Chicken, for example, is prepared agrodolce, with an alluring sour-sweet demi-glace... Chilean Sea Bass is cooked up teriyaki style... Canadian Salmon is adorned with a sweet & spicy glaze and companioned by mango & yogurt... Sautéed Lamb Sirloin is enhanced with a rich & savory Madeira sauce... and a 10oz Strip Steak basks in an addictive shallot & port wine reduction. Other main course possibilities include Angus Filet au Poivre with cognac cream, Char Grilled Pork Flat Iron marinated with garlic & oregano, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and Broiled Scallop & Lobster Gratin. On the other hand, should you decide to take the Sandwiches & Pub Fare route, have no fear, you will certainly not be disappointed. During previous visits, I sampled the Garganelli Pasta Bolognese and the Chicken Cobb Salad. Both were excellent. The former is comprised of buttered garganelli (egg-based pasta from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy), angus beef Bolognese, olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The latter combines mixed lettuces, hard-boiled egg, tomato, blue cheese, bacon, and avocado sprinkled with a zesty lemon vinaigrette. Most recently, my dining companion made straight for the Crab Cake Sandwich, to which she gave an enthusiastic "thumps up." I, on the other hand, couldn't resist the considerable charms of the Chicken Cutlet & Ranch BLT, a luscious combo on toasted brioche immersed in an incredibly addictive herb ranch dressing. I should add that the delicious hand-cut French fries, which accompanied both sandwiches, were a considerable drawing card as well. The dessert menu runs the gamut... from such familiar sweet endings as Crème Brûlée and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake to Mango Lime Cheesecake with raspberry sauce, Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding garnished with vanilla ice cream, and Frozen Mississippi Mud Pie. The restaurant also offers Bassetts Ice Cream & Sorbet, should you be so inclined. For my money, however, nothing quite surpasses The Desmond's Warm Bread Pudding. Bathed in a sweet vanilla sauce, this is one outrageously rich, thoroughly delightful denouement that more than lives up to its considerable reputation. Simply not to be missed.

The picanha, ribeye, flank steak, and sausages were not to be missed. The salad bar also had some excellent options that made us feel a little better about gorging on fatty meats, too. Don't be that person who "optimizes for maximum meat consumption," do something joyful with your life and get the extra buttery garlic bread, bro. We filled our plates twice, each of us. When I asked for wine recommendations, he couldn't give me an answer which is weird to me. A simple 3-4 of some best sellers or ANYTHING would've sufficed in my opinion. We went for Tomahawk Tuesday where you are given the choice between a Tomahawk or Porterhouse, 2 starter salads, 2 sides, and 2 desserts. Great pricing for that. Another issue, the food took FOREVER. There is no way a salad should have taken that long to come to a table. The steak, I understand. Upon the arrival of the steak, it was beautiful! The steak was ordered medium, it was dry when actually eating it. It did have a great char to it though. Towards the ending, the service got better I guess, but I was already over the experience.

My 100th Yelp Review is way overdue, but am happy it is a momentous one…read more As this was a dinner of a lifetime. It was the second weekend in December and we arrived on a cold night to Eddie V's. With the chill in the air, it was a pleasant surprise to see valet parking available for patrons. We pulled up, the young man was so quick and friendly & we headed inside. We had a 7:30pm reservation and could see the restaurant was packed. Lots of holiday cheer around the bar area for sure. Our coats were checked. We waited quite some time in the corridor, however after about 10 minutes a staff member appeared with a tray offering of champagne, for all who were waiting. This was an exceptional consideration. After about 10 more minutes we were seated. In the back room of the restaurant, back corner, along side their Christmas tree. The ambiance was only made more perfect by the birthday card and confetti they had adorned the table with. We started with cocktails. My signature Sapphire Martini with Blue Cheese Olives. Spot on. Perfect dirty, only a vermouth kiss and big ole hand stuffed olives. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned. It was with a specific rye on menu that was not available at the time. The server had them substitute Whistle Pig 12 (complimentary without upcharge). This again was so considerate. Our server was so attentive, generous, complimentary, careful and helpful. We loved having him. Our Food- The bread was warm, crusty and chewy. Along with the creamy, fatty butter flaked with salt and chives. We ordered our appetizers- Oysters, Calamari and Dumplings We loved having the opportunity to try multiple varieties of oysters. They all tasted clean and distinct. My husband loves horseradish, so it was fantastic to see a side offering of just that, with the cocktail sauce and mignonette. And the lemon was in a bag!!!! The Calamari was a joy. Asian flair, crisp veggies, the calamari sang in texture and light fry. And cashews!! Squid and cashews. Inspiring. We also tried the Wagyu Dumplings. Plump, savory pillows. The beef was tender and flavorful. The wasabi cream gave a zing. Our meal had the best start. For entrees, my husband ordered the Lamb Chops. I ordered the Sea Scallops. Sides we had - the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. (We had leftovers, lolol) The plating for this Lamb was so strategic. It sat atop its Chimichurri Butter Sauce just the bottoms dabbling in it. So at your desire- to dip at whatever length the lamb, into the sauce, or eat the lamb alone. This dish was incredible and genius. My Scallops were seared spot on. Golden crust but a mild, clean, sweet inside. Cooked exactly. The pepitas gave a nice crunch and the squash puree gave a seasonal spin. But the scallops stood on their own and it was perfect. The Asparagus had bite, was not woodsy and not over seasoned. Just a well cooked vegetable. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes was butter heaven. Creamy, the huge chunks of lobster were swimming, and no potato peels, so smooth & decadent. We were stuffed so nixed dessert, however- a birthday dessert arrived. What a show! Flambé hooray!!! A firey plate with bananas, a coffee chip ice cream and chocolate cookie cake. We ate it happily, (hating ourselves later, for being so stuffed). This dessert was so sweet in gesture and taste. An ideal ending. This was sincerely the most care we have ever felt dining out. We felt like (and ate like!) a King and Queen. The thoughtfulness that went into our night gave miracle service. Model class, truly magical, and unprecedented. Thank you Eddie V's for a birthday experience so incredible in food, small touches and care that I will treasure and feel special for forever.

The restaurant was completely packed, and by the time we left, there was a crowd gathered out front waiting--definitely a popular spot. Inside, the two-person tables were set quite close together, making the space feel a bit tight, and the noise level was quite high throughout the restaurant. Service was a highlight. Our server, Nadine, was warm, friendly, and attentive. She answered our questions with ease and always had a welcoming smile, and the bussing team kept our water glasses filled without us ever having to ask. We started with the complimentary warm bread and butter, which is always a nice touch. We were also each served a fried oyster called amuse, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the crab cake appetizer, followed by the Big Glory Bay king salmon with a side of crab fried rice with mushrooms. My husband ordered the Wagyu dumplings and the Norwegian salmon. I enjoyed my dishes--everything was well-prepared and flavorful. However, my husband wasn't particularly impressed; he found his dishes to be average and not especially memorable, which made the overall experience feel a bit uneven. While the restaurant delivers on ambiance and solid service, the food didn't quite rise to the level you might expect for the price point. Overall, it feels like an elevated mall restaurant--pleasant, but slightly overpriced for what you get.
