Back in town visiting parents, saw good things written about this business online...so I picked up a mixed cheese hoagie, mozzarella fries, two cheesesteaks and fried raviolis.. My parents ate cheesesteaks and said they were fine. I ate raviolis and they were OK. My cheese hoagie had no oil/vinegar or dressing and was so dry it was literally unedible. And my mozzarella fries were burnt and went uneaten as well. So I spent 80.00 including tip for two cheesteaks and some fried raviolis...super disappointing, will never eat there again.....and I swear I honestly hate complaining but its just so warranted, I had to read more

Nothing that'll blow your socks off. But it's all just good food that gets the job done. The wings were crispy, seasoned well, and no breading which I like. Pizza slice tastes like the streets of NY. The pizza has zero flop, good undercarriage, and basic vibes and basic is good. Sandwiches were solid as expected. Service was a little slow and it is a bit pricey. I purchased a Pizza Steak sandwich yesterday. When I picked up the sandwich, I was very disappointed as the outside of the roll was burnt, there was more cheese on the outside of the roll than on the steak and there was no sauce on the sandwich. Not a big place but it was a classic northeast subs & pizza restaurant. We had a traditional Philly cheesesteak and it was superb! Very generous steak portion. Highly recommend it. Deal breaker for me is during COVID the entire prep staff was masked and gloved but when my cheesesteak came off of the grill the girl who cut and wrapped it, grabbed the cheesesteak barehanded to cut and wrap/bag it- Completely negating all of the efforts of the entire staff. We have found this to be some of the better takeout food in Phoenixville, which is why we gave it so many chances, however, when it's such a pain in the ass to deal with each time...it is no longer worth it. 1. The estimated delivery times are NEVER correct. Do not trust the app. Your delivery is pretty much a mystery, it could be early, it could be 2 hours late, either way there is NO predictability. 2. They use their own delivery drivers, which are some of the weirdest people doing the weirdest things I have seen from a delivery driver. The driver almost always shows up in a dirty apron - yes your delivery driver was likely just making your food, getting in their car to deliver food, and returning after being out and about in the same apron to give your food. 3 . See #2 - We live on a street only parking block, like a ton of people in the borough. This literally means we could have parked a block or two a way. The delivery driver showed up and kept asking "What car we drive" or they wouldn't deliver.....hello...you have our address, our car is completely irrelevant. We don't have a driveway, our car was on the next block over. DELIVER THE FOOD. 4. We have a porch overhang. They texted and called asking if they should still deliver the food, i appreciate it, but I told them to just leave it. They didn't and took it back with them? WTF..I think its up to me whether or not I want my food delivered. I had to call to have them bring it back. Were you just going to take it and never come back even though I paid for it? 5. Grew up in Delco and lived in South Philly for many years before moving to Pville a couple years ago. Having eaten just about every cheesesteak here this is basically what I'm used to. Solid ingredients. Plenty of meat. I like a fine chop as long as not too dry. The first one I ever ordered from here was on the dry side, maybe a new chef or busy/bad day. Their cheesesteaks were great, but not life-changing (considering how close we are to Philly.) There are many 'pizza-and-sandwiches' places, but this one tends to be above average. The food is good, the prices are fair, the employees are friendly and the dining room is kept clean. We recently had an order accuracy problem, but this is not generally an issue here. My one criticism is that, when dining in, there is often music playing in the kitchen, often with a thumping bass track. Sometimes it is loud, sometimes not. My FAVORITE gluten free pizza! I struggled to find a good gluten free pizza that reminds me of a normal pizza and this is the best around. Lots of topping, great sauce, and a crust that tastes good! We've been ordering from Hog Island for years. Stopped about a year ago due to inconsistency, bad food and climbing prices. Owner use to be really nice and accommodating when things weren't right but eventually faded fast as every time we ordered there was a problem. Uncooked food, missing items and poor quality. Awesome staff, great food with something on the menu for everyone. My favorite is the Italian grinder. Staff make sure to do it right, last time I was there my food was accidentally overcooked and they were correcting it before I received it, saw it or even knew about it. This used to be the place to go for a huge hoagie that could last 4 meals. Sadly, that's not the case anymore. The quantity of meat has decreased by at least 20%, I assume that it hasn't been as profitable as someone likes. They've changed the rolls (which aren't bad, but have an interesting outside consistency). Probably what stinks the most is the service. The last three times I've ordered from Grubhub, I've been less than impressed. The first two times, it was significantly delayed (10-15 min after I got the push notification) that it was done, I went in to pick it up--the folks at the counter let me know it wasn't quite ready. Tonight, they just couldn't find my order. A simple hoagie was lost in the breeze. The 2 guys at the counter suggested that I hadn't even ordered on Grubhub--until I showed them my confirmation email/receipt. It miraculously showed up from the counter (that he looked for 3 different times). Was handed my sandwich without another word. No apology, no kma, no have a great day.
