If I could give this grooming salon negative stars I would! Worst dog groomers! To be specific, the groomer I'm referring to has colored hair and a ton of tattoos and seems to run things. I brought in my Chow for a bath and TRIM and they shaved almost all her fur off! I made sure to explain things to her for about 15 minutes and they still messed my dog up. Don't bring your pets here, they are the worst. And as a dog owner y'all should know that once you shave your dogs coat, it will never grow back the same. She had shaved him completely down. He is a Silky Terrier and only needed a trim. I don't even think this groomer knows what a Silky terrier looks like! We have taken our golden retriever mix in several times for grooming. On her first visit, they did a decent job. On subsequent visits, they tried to upscale all the "extras" like furminator, anti-shed shampoo & conditioner, etc. Our experience has been that if you don't buy the extras you get a 2 min grooming job. Our dog came home with untrimmed hair around her toes, and tangles everywhere. It seemed like they added hair to shed!! It is flying all over the place if we barely touch her. She would heve been better off with a 5 min brushing from home. We will never go to Petsmart again. Note: I commute between Phx & Temecula, but "Goldy" lives full time i Temecula. read more

I have had both my dogs groomed here and while I like shopping at the store I am not a fan of the grooming services. In my opinion the services are way over priced for what it is... a shave! I have a poodle shih tzu mix and while I'll admit his hair is more difficult to work with I can't stand taking him there to get shaved! I took my 5 month old Morkie Bella in to see Dr Cowen last Saturday because she kept scratching her ears. Turned out she had an ear infection in both ears caused by trapped water in her ear canal that causes yeast to grow. I had no clue about this and was so sad that my Bella had been suffering from far more than just itchy ears. Dr Cowen and her Assistant Corey were great!!! Bella was extremely nervous since the last time she seen a vet she was spayed so yes she was scared. But Dr Cowen and Corey were extremely gentle since her ears were so tendered. They explained the cause and prevention in great detail and they didn't try to sell me more than what was needed. Corey even advised me to wait until Bella was 6 months to sign up with Banfield plan so she can get the adult plan since she had all her vaccinations and was spayed. I really appreciate when a place of business doesn't try to take advantage of their customers especially in a time of distress when we aren't thinking clearly. When I got to the checkout I was told I had to pay the difference because apparently yesterday it was on sale and today it wasn't? Mind you it was the same exact item. I wasn't exchanging it for something different. I've never heard of that and never had to do that anywhere. It's not about the money so much as it is the principle. Took Charlie (my English cocker spaniel) here to get groomed. We just moved to temecula and before were always going to the Lake Elsinore petsmart, which we loved. It just is a little too far now. They got us in same day, which I loved, but then the groomer called and tried to up sell us on getting his nails filed. Of course we said no. Also, they charged us an extra fee of $10 for using a 1" on Charlie because it was "shaving". We never got charged this extra fee from lake Elsinore. To top it off, I was very clear that I wanted his feet very short because they get so dirty. Well when we picked him up his paws were the same length as the rest of his body. The lady said we could come by and let her know if we didn't like anything... But by the time I could get in it was a week later and I couldn't complain that far after. read more

Clearly, PetSmart hasn't figured out why Amazon is kicking all of the brick and mortar retailers' collective behinds. I tried to return $65 worth of unopened product without a receipt today for a store credit. The first associate said that she would consult the manager while we shopped. When we returned another associate checked us out. The first associate told Page, who was checking us out, that the manager had come and refused to refund or to provide a store credit without the receipt. Fortunately, Page understands the importance of customer service and looked up the returned items just seconds before we left for Petco. Although I think this was more of a store/company policy issue than a manager issue, I would have appreciated the manager making the effort to speak to us personally and explain the policy instead of allowing their associates to be the bearers of bad news. Customer obsession, PetSmart, read about it and demand it of your employees, especially your managers. Again, Amazon has everything and more that PetSmart stocks, even Authority dog food (re: another negative review below). Become a Prime member, and you will have your product within one to two days. This is the second time the groomers have called my dog aggressive! Before that, a groomer called him difficult but was able to furminate him and grind his nails in a matter of 2 and 1/2 hours. We just brought our husky to this location recently for a bath along with the furminator. Rene was our groomer and she was awesome! She listened to everything I was telling her when dropping our boy off, and she took the time to pet him and get to know him a little before we left to make sure he was comfortable with her. When she called to tell me he was ready, she didn't sugar coat it and told me he wasn't doing well in the kennel. (He hates the kennel at home, so I figured as much). We came to pick him up and she told me more in detail about how he did. She made me feel very comfortable about leaving him for his bath and made him look very handsome! They were having a promotion on dog treats that were buy 3 get 1 free. I grabbed 4 of the same treats and at the register they were going to charge me for all 4 so I asked the cashier about the promotion and she said their system took off the 4th one automatically and I did not. I told her that if it did, my total should be around $13 not $17. She then asks someone on her radio and then she tells me that the promotion is buy 2 get 1 free, even though I saw signs everywhere saying otherwise. I say alright and then she takes one out of my bag and I still get charged $13 for all 3, I did not get anything free as the promotion stated. Later I get an email from their management who also argues with me about the transaction. I am very disappointed with the way they handled this situation and the lack of knowledge of these people. And the fact that their cashier can't do simple addition is pretty pathetic. How can you be a cashier and not add?! I will take my business elsewhere, so very disappointing. So today In the parking lot I was trying to juggle 3 young kids from getting out of the car and also our two dogs who had an appointment at PetSmart. Our dogs get very anxious while on car rides and it's usually a struggle to make sure they get out of the vehicle safely and don't try running off. My husband is usually with me to assist but today I was trying to be Super Mom and get it done by myself. Big mistake on my end considering one of my dogs somehow came undone from his harness which has never happened before. Now this location is near a Main Street so you know that this could've gone terribly wrong but luckily our dog ended up running inside of the PetSmart. In a panic I finished getting my girls and other dog out of the car to search for him and I see our dog in the store so I start yelling to a customer from across the parking lot that he's mine. PetSmart staff took swift action and closed their doors manually to ensure he would not escape. As I got to the store they made sure to keep the doors closed until I secured him back into his harness. I felt terrible to keep some customers waiting as they tried to exit but they were all understanding. Thank you PetSmart employees for helping me out on this one because clearly this "Super Mom" needed it! read more

I do not come in here very often, I will say the place is clean staff is friendly and willing to help. Prices are a little high and dont compete with online. Only reason I gave this location a 3 star is because one of your associates at the register who has a small service dog was talking to the customer about what constitutes a service dog and what the laws are and what the dog needs to do to qualify as a service dog. Although that is awesome he is providing the information to a customer, but when you are ringing up a customer with and other customers are waiting, that is not that time. I was called to go to another line and by the time I got rung up and out the door the associate was still talking about their service dog. She had a accident while I was carrying her in, and very quickly and professionally they assisted me in cleaning up the mess. They did not have to do this but did it anyway. Way better staffed. I have been hesitant to take my dog to the groomers because of all the talk that has been going on. I explained myself to the ladies and they all had such a positive attitude they all got along well they said they gotten new staff members and enjoy what they do. This place was very welcoming and my dog was very excited to go and the groom came out amazing! I will come back to this place and I am very happy they got got brand new staff. I do recognize some of the staff but they were not the problem. The store manager is hilarious and I just felt so comfortable in this store. Just found out that my dogs have been blackballed by the grooming department because the last time they were here and after stressing them out herself, the groomer put a note in their computer system that the dogs were too stressed and future services must be refused. It seems that since the groomer didn't want it do her job then, I now have to go elsewhere for these services.
