In response to your claim that Lucy was always extremely matted, that is false. There were plenty of times where you checked her fur right in front of me and said oh it just looks matted but her fur was perfectly fine. It's just thick because she is a poodle and it's tightly coiled. Her new groomer has performed every time with the same cut at every visit. So I would say it's inexperienced groomers that kept my dog from getting the groom I paid for each visit as well as injuring her.

After her haircut, looking adorable and feeling happy!

I've taken my dog here for about 6 months now. Prior to this, I was taking her to PetSmart and I hated how they made her look most of the time! Dirty Paws has been nothing but kind to me and my dog. I have a Shih Tzu and she starts looking crazy really fast! I try to bring her in once a month, and the staff is also very welcoming to her even though she is a little shy. I would recommend this to any family or friends who have a dog that needs a grooming.

Charlie Brown is a handful. I was referred to dirty paws by another groomer. They did not disappoint. He got a great cut and looked so cute. I know it was a lot of work and it was much appreciated!

I love my dog here; he comes back looking sooo cute and they do his coat great. He's a Yorkie Pom so he is definitely an energetic pup and because he does move around a lot, sometimes the groomers can't ever give him an even trim, but he always comes back, looking absolutely great, and I am in love with the results 100%!! As far as service, they do a good job in communicating what they can provide; I do wish they can let you know on the website or when you call it's a CASH/CHECK ONLY establishment; with the exception of Zelle being used granted there's a $3 fee. I didn't have an issue with the cash but for those who aren't aware just as a heads up!

This is his boney leg that got cut you can see near the bottom. Also his big full coat is now all chopped up and that was not requested.

We've been going to Dirty Paws for over 3 years. Deb and her team are awesome. They seriously are the only ones that can handle our extremely sensitive, not so great with grooming, grumpy schnauzer. Seriously. Destiny is great with him, and so far are the only ones that can handle and cut this grumpy schnauzer. Anyways, I cannot thank this place enough for tolerating a grumpy, difficult dog and their patience and recommendations from Deb we always appreciate! Would definitely recommend. read more

We've been customers for many years and love the treatment our dogs get here. They love coming and feel oh so pretty after a day with Debbie. I love it that the dogs are not in cages for hours but get immediate attention and home in less time than any other groomer. Her prices are more reasonable than others and I just feel safe leaving our furkids with her. Thank you Debbie and your groomers for so many years of loving care of our pups. My mother has been taking her Bichon here for a while and while nothing was ever on point upon pick up, it was tolerable. Today however changed that note and has brought us to the decision to never go back! If you have a dog you know his/her scent just as you would your child's. You therefore know exactly how they smell before a bath and after a bath regardless of what scent may be used to cover up. This is your fur baby and you know them as a mother knows their child. You know the scent their little bodies excrete when they are clean and you know their pungent natural smell when they are not. Upon pick up we found our Bichon was not properly styled but beyond that, she was no way no how bathed! From the scent of her skin to the feel of her improperly styled fur, nothing spoke of cleanliness. No way, No how! My mother called to let them know her concerns but they offered no solutions, apologies or options to rectify . There are three adults in our household, we all did the snif test and also felt her fur. We all agree, someone took considerable shortcuts and the true services they charged were not provided! Upon closer inspection we realized they cut our Bichon's eyelashes!! Bottom line? Go at your own risk. Consider yourself warned and cautiously examine your pooch upon pick up. Also, don't pay until you check out your dog!! Shame on this unscrupulous groomer they've lost our business forever. read more

Deborah and her team are the best! I've been taking both of my dogs to her for years. I have tried every single groomer in Temecula and some of them are really good, but no one makes my dogs look like Dirty Paws. I have a very frail older dog and they are so careful with her, and I have a very rambunctious 1 yr old puppy and they make him look amazing, despite how much he moves, wiggles, and bites! Our puppy is a MiniAussie/ShihTzu mix and he has the double coat of an Aussie- you have to be very careful with their coats and Deborah and her team do a beautiful job with a silhouette cut on him. They make his little sunflower face look just beautiful. I highly recommend Dirty Paws! read more

Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a Groomer. I have taken all of my dogs there for many years and they always do a great job! Their prices are extremely reasonable compared to other Groomers in the area and they always do exactly what's needed and what you ask for. Deborah is great - great communication and has even given help with nail trimming when needed between grooming appointments. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed! They do a great job but how they can charge $200 for a 65 pound dog groom is beyond insanity. Be prepared to pay a lot of money. By far, the most expensive groom in my 15 years of owning a dog. read more

We recently moved to Fallbrook and have been researching where to take our 60lb female goldendoodle to be groomed. Dirty Paws won out from the amazing reviews. Deborah was able to get us an appointment quickly, was ready on time, and had our dog looking amazing with exactly what we asked for in under two hours which is the fastest groom experience we've had. She took the time to walk me through what they'd do and how the mild fur matting would impact the length of my dogs coat and pricing. It's disheartening to see the negative reviews around matting charges as it's obvious there can be variability there as this is a service we trust the groomers judgement on. This I find very interesting.... The owners reply, my husband did not receive a call as you didn't have his number. I received the call they were ready and no one said anything. I left a message after pick up and the next day. Heat no one could call me back. As I said before, our big boy is the biggest sweetheart - per our groomer at home and we double checked with her and she has never had any aggression. We've had a few knots cut out before as he's an Livestock guardian dog and a family dog he manages to get in things. As we said, just a heads up to anyone considering a new place for their larger dogs. read more

My dog normally takes about 3-4 hours to groom and the cost is about $125.00 for a full service. My dog was rushed through and was done in less than 90 minutes. It was the worst haircut I have ever seen. His hair was uneven and he looked like he had just been scalped. I expressed my feeling to the front desk person and all she could say is "he moved a lot and we did the best be could". I have never had a complaint from a groomer about my dog. To make things even worse, they charged m $160.00! I will never recommend or go back to this groomer again. VERY UNHAPPY read more

We took our pup here for years. My husband found the spot and it was very simple and easy to get in. Our dog is short hair and was always just a wash, nail trim and teeth. He's the sweetest pup, but understand he was probably nervous during his visits. Over the last year or so every time we bring him in, we have been made to feel that its such an inconvenience, so we have stopped coming here. read more

Very good neighborhood per groomers. We have had our dog's nails clipped here for a couple of years and finally got the mini groom for $25. This included nail triming, ear cleaning and anal expressing. She also had a bath. She was comfortable for her first ever groom in 8 years. We spend those 30 minutes next door at the Temecula Pizza shop. read more

Our first time here! They were super accommodating and did a great job cleaning up and trimming my girls! They did bath, nail trim, sanitary trim, full body trim, and ear cleaning! My younger pup has never had a grooming experience, and my other girl is very picky about which groomers she trusts. They both seemed happy and comfortable when I picked them up! I'm sure they were wiggling around the whole time, I know it couldn't have been an easy task having both of them at the same time. I'm incredibly thankful for the employees patience with my girls! They treated my pup Floyd like he was one of their own. They're the only place that he would let cut his nails. The prices are very reasonable in comparison to other shops whose service isn't quite as up to par. The owner is very knowledgeable about dogs and even other animals. If you want your pup pampered and taken care of by professionals who actually care, I highly recommend Dirty Paws. read more

WOWWOWOWOWOW. We are just moving to the area and I was so excited to find a new groomer for our sweet pup Kobe. I called to make an appointment for our pup, he is an Irishdoodle (similar to a goldendoodle coat and size) and the owner just straight up said sorry we are no longer taking large dog breeds we don't have the help. So she turned me away, which just seemed extremely unprofessional and rude. Did not give me any further information or help and just said sorry and hung-up. So FYI if you have a large dog they will not take your dog. Dirty paws more like dirty business!! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Deborah H.

Deborah has always shared her life with all kinds of animals, growing up with horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, even a pair of tortoise. Deborah insures the BEST care of each pet that visits Dirty Paws. "My motto is 'Every pet is treated as if they are my own dogs' and my own dogs are super spoiled family members!", No one should ever have to worry if their pets are being treated well and loved.

I personally am a certified dog trainer for a large pet store and while they are amazing for the basics I wanted a more expert opinion when it comes to more extensive dog training. I have a 4 year old Maltese who I've self trained as a a psychiatric service dog. Nacho is wonderful very well mannered, but has always had a bit of his own anxiety. Since I'm up to date on lots of training methods and I wanted his advice personally, he agreed to doing a private session with me. I brought everything for the session, his fancy FI dog collar that tracks him, his working vest, short lead, distance lead, his e-collar and of course treats. I told him that the e collar training I've done with him is modified as I don't have one that shocks only noise and vibration. He said while he gets results almost immediate with a classic e-collar conditioning, he is willing to do whatever I am most comfortable with. Nacho has off leash recall but only conditioned with the vibration, and because he's only 7 pounds and I got the most lightweight vibration collar I modified it to be on the back of his harness which works perfect. Again Vince will only do whatever you're comfortable with and better yet he'll explain the reasoning of how each training tool is used and why it works. While I know Vince could have gotten my dog to do 4x as many commands in the time frame that we spent working, it was more important for me to learn what he was preaching and my god was it amazing! Everything started to click and make sense which gave me so much more confidence in myself and my boy Nacho. I can tell he has had many years of experience and if I ever have any more concerns or questions I will happily put money down to see him again. Any dogs that I come across that need behavioral help will be going his way. While it can be pricey it is so worth it! Take the time to get his advice and opinion it's well worth it! Thanks again Vince for helping me with Nacho! We appreciate it immensely!

She gave them all the attention, love and care they seek and need. We were impressed with her clean facility and were relieved that she was able to separate the two dogs during meal time as requested. She was easy to work with when it came to the dogs' specific schedule and instructions, and she was very open and flexible to our needs when it came to pick-up and drop-off. We trusted her so much that we even extended their stay by one day! She was fantastic and we are so glad we know who to go to again for future dog boarding needs.

When we picked her up, her eye was severely swollen shut -- clearly far worse than what we were told. Emergency and follow-up vets later confirmed it was multiple bite wounds, not a scratch. We were told there would be an investigation and possible reimbursement, but it has now been over 2 months with: No report No communication No accountability We trusted them with our dog's safety, and both the incident and the lack of follow-up have been extremely disappointing. The staff at Dirty Paws are always pleasant, and I enjoy dropping off my two dogs to get groomed. They even fit in my daughter's Yorkie when she was visiting from Idaho. Usually my Chihuahua Macy screams an ungodly scream when she gets her nails trimmed, but for some reason she doesn't at Dirty Paws. My golden Brulee thinks she is going to a party when she gets dropped off her grooming. She loves the other dogs there. Dirty Paws always has her looking like she is "show ready" when I pick her up. I just really appreciate Sage and Debbie with Dirty Paws They go the extra mile and I feel confident leaving my little Maltese with Sage. THey go the extra mile and really care about dogs. My last Maltese was abused with groomers so I was very careful about chosing my groomer for my second Maltese. I recommend them highly. They can groom large to small and feel blessed my Maltese in is good hands. They also hire people who are trained and capable of taking care of the dogs professionally. This is the most amazing grooming facility i have ever utilized. Paloma and Deborah managed to shampoo, de-flea, diagnose prevention, and take loving care of an official ranch dog ~ who had never been to a groomer prior! I will never go anywhere else. I feel blessed to have found them. Some people like what they do and it is immediately obvious in their genuine caring and attention to the animals that this groomer is a natural.
