My wife and I absolutely love Doug's dog service. We have never had a better dog boarding experience, and we have used several in the past! The biggest plus for us, is that our dog is never in a crate or cage! Doug allows the dogs to roam his spacious grass yard, and even sleep inside! We have had the pleasure of working with Doug since 2016, and would not send our pup to anyone else. Brewer always has a blast, and gets lots of socialization from other large dogs and small dogs alike! Not to mention, Doug is incredibly friendly, flexible, and has taken Brewer on several last minute notices! Highly recommend!

I have to say that Doug is awesome and that my wife and I were so hesitant on leaving our puppy for the first time but unfortunately we had to because our doggie sitter canceled, I'm happy to say that she was so well taken care of and Doug was awesome ! Definitely would recommend them thank you

I left my 1 year old Boston Terrier with Doug for a week and it was well worth my time and money. Doug is very knowledgeable and has a careful selection process that focuses on ensuring the dogs get along and are safe prior to boarding, which really helped with peace of mind since both of his own dogs are bigger than mine, and at the time some other doggy guests were present and got to know him too. I knew he was in good hands and will definitely be bringing him back when we go out again on an extended vacation.

Friendly and reliable. My dogs are happy to go there and tired out when I collect them. The only sitter I trust to look after my dogs.

What a pleasure to meet Doug, his wife & family of fur babies. And I mean fur. I was covered in hair & loved every minute of it. He has well trained dogs of his own & then dogs for boarding & day care. There is a huge dog friendly yard which is what I was looking for because I want my dog to b outside playing. Not stuck in a crate. August will b spending his day care with Doug & his gang from now on.

Doug is amazing! I have a 1 year old pit bull pointer mix, when I got Kobe he was very insecure, nervous around other dogs. He would growl at other dogs on walks. And forget about bringing another dog into our home! After working with Doug (and it only took 2 sessions of training) he has taught my husband and I how to correct him on walks, all the dos and don'ts! It's has only been 2 months of us having Kobe and he has improved soooo much! We even leave him with Doug once a week at doggie daycare so he can play with other dogs! Doug is patient, knowledgeable, and gets to the point!

I had the pleasure of working with Doug at The Doug Walker Dog Training from October 2020 through February of 2021. My husband and I were moving to Japan, but through an oversight on our part, my dog Murphy needed to stay behind in CA for 180 days while he quarantined after getting his rabies shot. We found out at the last minute that he had to do his rabies series all over again, and Japan wouldn't accept him until that was done. We were in quite a predicament, but my mom had suggested The Doug Walker as she had used his services and spoke highly of him. Even without much notice, Doug said he could help with our long-term needs. He met us for a meet-and-greet, and took his time to introduce my dog to his home, backyard, and Doug's dogs. One by one his dogs came out, and although I was nervous, by the end of the meeting my little dog was playing with 3 big dogs with no problem! Doug showed us some tricks that he had taught his dogs to do, and he had such a strong command that we knew Murphy would be in very capable hands. We did an overnight test-run and Murphy did great. For the next 5 months, Doug cared for my dog, sent me pictures and updates, and helped us coordinate Murphy's final move. The daily rate was lowered after a certain amount of days, which helped us financially. When I picked up Murphy, he looked happy, fit (he even lost a few lbs as my vet had recommended!) and well taken care of. Doug mentioned that his pack accepted Murphy and that they all missed him after he left, which made me feel great. We couldn't have done this international move without him, and we are so thankful. I highly recommend The Doug Walker for day camp, overnight stays, or a long-term stay! The pricing is reasonable and the care and communication is outstanding. Thank you, Doug!

Each time she returned home, she had unnecessary cuts on her nose and ears. We were told the injuries happened because she rubs her nose in the crate and plays rough, but she is already crate trained and has never experienced these kinds of issues elsewhere. Even more concerning were the behavioral changes. She started developing bad habits, including jumping up on people and playing much rougher than we allow at home. A few times, she also became noticeably timid, which is completely unlike her normal personality. She even began having difficulty pooping, dragging her but across the pavement and our floor at home, something she had never had issues with before attending. Her behavior and overall condition changed negatively after going here, and that was very concerning for us to see. Because of these repeated issues, we decided not to move forward with the monthly plan we had signed up past week, which was supposed to begin on June 1st. However, despite the membership not even starting yet, we were told by Amber we would still be charged the full amount. I understand a 30-day notice policy for an active membership, but charging customers before services have even begun feels unreasonable and unfair. Hopefully Amber will be able to work it out. We gave this place two chances hoping things would improve, but unfortunately that was not the case. We trusted them with our dog and expected a safe, professional environment, but did not workout for the best. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

It was a huge blessing, considering we wouldn't be able to drive down for one before our wedding. In general, we were reluctant to leave our two pups, Milo and Enzo, at a boarding facility for the first time because we have never left them in another person's care who wasn't a relative. But we are so glad we did and that we had a wonderful experience! Naomi took great care of them for 4 days. She was very responsive, professional, understanding, and most importantly, kind. She gave them all the attention, love and care they seek and need. We were impressed with her clean facility and were relieved that she was able to separate the two dogs during meal time as requested. She was easy to work with when it came to the dogs' specific schedule and instructions, and she was very open and flexible to our needs when it came to pick-up and drop-off. We trusted her so much that we even extended their stay by one day! She was fantastic and we are so glad we know who to go to again for future dog boarding needs.

Casey Booram with Stay & Play Pet Sitting made my life and my babies' lives so much easier & stress-free For context, my dogs have stayed in a pet boarding in a prior city an hour away from our current residence. We needed to find a new place to watch our babies. I found Melinda (the business-owner) through networking & she got me connected right away with one of her specialists that lived closer to my area. We had our meet & greet meeting, and I could instantly tell that Casey had an amazing heart & had decades years of working with animals to back her up. Casey texted us throughout all the drop-ins (we were gone for a weekend) sent photos of our happy pups, and gave us a very detailed recap of their progress and state of the dogs after each visit. There's no price to put on the peace of mind that Casey was able to provide us and the thoughtful care she put into the time with my fur babies. She went the extra mile when she had no obligation to (staying an extra 30 mins past the scheduled time to earn the trust of my very skeptical, cautious, and anxious Chi). When it comes to pet boarding, it's very difficult to get live status updates + feel secure in how your dogs are doing. Being able to leave them at home and know that all their needs are being met while still being able to enjoy my vacation was a great experience. If you're someone in the area that has ever needed a reliable, experienced, and thoughful pet sitter -- don't hesistate to connect with Stay & Play Pet Sitting.

I was nervous and didn't know what to do, so I reached out to Epic Dog Academy. They scheduled a same-day consultation, which immediately made me feel supported. Sookie started the Honor Roll Program the following week. Throughout her training, her trainer Erin kept me consistently updated on Sookie's progress. Toward the end of the two weeks, Erin recommended keeping Sookie a little longer because she needed some extra help -- and I truly appreciated that honesty and care. If Epic Dog Academy didn't genuinely care, they could have easily sent her home, especially with the holidays coming up, but instead they did what was best for Sookie. I picked Sookie up about a week ago and, to be honest, I was nervous about bringing her home. Erin scheduled our in-home training session just three days after pickup, and even checked in with us after Sookie's first day home to see how we were doing. While Sookie had a solid grasp of her commands, we struggled with crate training at first. During our in-home session, Erin helped us work through those issues, and since then, crating has been easy and stress-free. Epic Dog Academy -- and especially Erin -- did an amazing job with Sookie. They've given her confidence, and she no longer panics when I leave. The attentiveness, support, and care they've shown toward both Sookie and me has meant so much. We truly couldn't have done this without them. I'm so grateful for Epic Dog Academy and look forward to continuing our journey with them. I know Sookie will only continue to improve and live her best life.

Don't Believe the False Facebook Posts - Epic Dog Academy Is the Real Deal…read more I need to share my experience because there's a lot of misinformation going around about Epic Dog Academy. If you've seen those Facebook posts linking them to animal abuse - please, don't believe them. I fell for those rumors myself at first, and I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake. I had signed my dog, Obi-Wan, up for the two-week training program and was so excited. But right after I told a friend, she sent me a Facebook group filled with terrible claims about EDA. I panicked and immediately called to cancel. Vincent, the owner, was incredibly understanding and patient. He explained that all those claims were false and even showed me proof - including records exposing the people behind the posts as having serious legal and credibility issues, but even though I already paid and signed all the paperwork - he still immediately refunded me my payment to give me time to do additional research. This is something he could have pushed back on but didn't, which really showed me what a kind and understanding business this was. Even so, I made sure to do my own research before forming any opinions. What I found was truly alarming: the main individual behind that Facebook group has a documented history of serious issues, including animal cruelty charges (all public record). His daughter once briefly worked with Vince - the owner of Epic Dog Academy - many years ago at a completely separate business. Shortly after, Vince left to establish Epic Dog Academy with his wife, Olivia. To be clear, the two individuals who now run that Facebook group have no real connection to Epic Dog Academy. The false claims they're spreading about the owner are completely unfounded and unsupported by any evidence, plus most of the negative comments appear to come from people associated with them. Once I realized the truth, I re-enrolled Obi-Wan - this time in their day training program. I drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. It gave me total peace of mind to see him daily, and I can confidently say that not only is he perfectly fine - he's thriving. The results have been beyond my expectations. Obi-Wan listens better than ever, he's happier, and he actually gets excited to go every morning. Erin, his trainer, is absolutely phenomenal. She's patient, knowledgeable, and keeps me updated every day with photos and progress reports through their app. Christy at the front desk is another gem - her warmth and understanding make every drop-off and pick-up a breeze. Every single person I've interacted with at Epic Dog Academy truly loves what they do, and it shows. They treat every dog like their own. I can say with complete confidence that my dog is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible training here. Please do yourself a favor - don't let false online rumors stop you from giving EDA a chance. Check things out for yourself. I'm so glad I did, because Epic Dog Academy has completely transformed my dog's behavior and confidence. It's been worth every single penny (and I signed up for the Honor program!) I have given EDA permission to share my number with anyone who is hesitant to sign up. I'd be happy to share my experience with you if needed. -- Pictures of Obi-Wan were sent to me through the EDA app during his day training!

3 Strikes your out!…read more SCAM SCAM SCAM I first brought my pup to this vet November of last year. We just moved to the area and my pup was experiencing a bad ear infection. They charged me more than $1,200 to clean and run tests. During the cleaning the vet was informing me of medication that would help with my pup's seasonal allergies which was around $500 a month. I am not exaggerating at all. They pushed it until I told them that my wife was gonna give birth any day now & I didn't want to commit it so soon. Two weeks later we came back to the vet for a check- up and they insisted that my pup start his $500 a month medication. I declined it at the time and wanted to do my own research before agreeing to the medication. Another week passed and a more budget friendly medication was mentioned. We agreed and went to the vet to pick up a monthly dosage. When my wife arrived to the front desk to pick up the medication the staff was a little confused on which medication was ordered. When my wife mentioned the name of the medication, the staff automatically said that " your husband denied it initially because you couldn't afford it." Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. We were upset at comment but decided to brush off and continue to go to the vet since we were new to the area. I wonder why they never mentioned this from the start and why the expensive medication was the only option at first? We go to the vet once a month to pick up our pups medication and would call 3-4 days ahead before he runs out for a refill. Earlier this week I called the vet to ask for a refill and mentioned that my pup had 3 days left of medication. They said they would speak to the vet for approval for the refill. They called me back and mentioned that my pup has not had a bi-annual exam and unfortunately they cannot refill his prescription without one. They did not have any appointment left for the week and the next available appointment would be two saturdays from now. Note, I called on a Monday.. The staff kept mentioning that my pups bi-annual exam was overdue a couple months now.. ok, why am I only knowing this now when I come monthly to pick up his medication? Why can't I get a refill until his next appointment? So this tells me that you would rather have my pups medication run out just so you make sure I schedule an exam for a little extra $$? Enough is enough. I am highly disappointed and would not consider this vet to anyone. The experience I had shows that they care more about the money than the health of your pups. I will not be bringing my pup here anymore and will take my business elsewhere. Thanks for showing your true colors. Don't be fooled by the signs and pictures. They only want you for your $$.
