Our family puppy name "Cookie" was at this facility for seven months. And on 03/15/2022 our "Cookie" was playing with other dogs until another dog came and bit our puppy on the ear for NO reason! Blood was everywhere. The staff did not handle the situation properly. And their policy states that (dogtopia and owner of other dog) is not responsible for any attacks at this facility. The permanent damage to our "Cookie" and VCA cost us $1300 PS I RECOMMEND ALL DOG OWNERS TO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS PLACE.

My Pomsky in the cage on the left, where he spent most of time

Absolutely disappointed with Dogtopia and the staff. Boarded our dogs for a couple of days to come home to a nightmare. While driving home and watching the cameras one our dogs was kept in the cage most of the morning only to be let out for 28 mins in a 2 hour period. While all the other dogs played. I have no idea how long he was in the cage prior to watching . When we picked them up that evening we were informed our mastiffs front right paw was swollen, they stated they noticed it an hour before our arrival. Our Bernese seemed ok at the time, just tired from his stay. 1st- I asked why our pomsky was caged most of the morning, I provided times of when he was placed and let out prior to cameras going off line. The staff member stated they are rotating different dogs every 15 mins, (when I started the feed it was 10:00 am, he was in the cage and let out to play at 10:52 am. He was then placed back in the cage at 11:28 am and when the cameras went off-line for nap time. ) Either the staff doesn't know the difference between 15 mins and 52 mins.....I was specifically told he was acting in acceptable behavior they would need to speak with Caine coach and someone would reach out with explanation. 2-Getting home with our Mastiff, we got a better look at his paw which at this time is bleeding and he can't put down. We take him to pet emergency to find out he has a massive infection and has to be placed on antibiotics for 7 days and $ 1158.00 later. 3- Exhausted after being in the pet emergency all night and waking up the next morning to our Bernese not being able to put his front left paw down and swollen back to emergency and $ 832.20 also a massive infection. ????????? I immediately call Dogtopia to inform them of the situation and still inquiring on the caging incident only to be told our manager is out but we've sent messages, and we're looking into it... blah blah blah I call again, this time the manager calls me back, I go over everything once again to be told how sorry they are and that everyone is thinking of them... that does nothing for me. Dogtopia states they are a safe place for your pets to play and exercise, they understand dropping your pets off in a safe and loving environment is as important to them as it is to us. I didn't get any of that out of this experience, they guarantee for you pup to have a great time and fun experience. I can tell you right now I have 3 pups, they didn't have a great time. This breaks my heart, these are my fur children and I trusted the care I was leaving them in. I asked to be reimbursed for their BOARDING, I was told it would need to be emailed to the support team and reviewed but it's January and there busy. Didn't have a time frame of response. Excuse me .... Busy????? Then to be told that it would probably be a credit for a future stay. Clearly your joking if you thing I'll bring my babies back to you again!!!!! Dogtopia make it priority !!! This is unacceptable !!

Do you have to be a regular customer, or can I be sporadic in my need? I live in NorCal and come home for visits. I can't leave him at the hotel and I'd love for him to socialize with other doggos. He's an 8 month old golden.

But two days later, he got into the habit of biting and barking incessantly. He also refuses to stay when told to do so and there were no photos sent to us of him interacting with other dogs. So incredibly disappointed!

Don't Believe the False Facebook Posts - Epic Dog Academy Is the Real Deal…read more I need to share my experience because there's a lot of misinformation going around about Epic Dog Academy. If you've seen those Facebook posts linking them to animal abuse - please, don't believe them. I fell for those rumors myself at first, and I want to make sure no one else makes the same mistake. I had signed my dog, Obi-Wan, up for the two-week training program and was so excited. But right after I told a friend, she sent me a Facebook group filled with terrible claims about EDA. I panicked and immediately called to cancel. Vincent, the owner, was incredibly understanding and patient. He explained that all those claims were false and even showed me proof - including records exposing the people behind the posts as having serious legal and credibility issues, but even though I already paid and signed all the paperwork - he still immediately refunded me my payment to give me time to do additional research. This is something he could have pushed back on but didn't, which really showed me what a kind and understanding business this was. Even so, I made sure to do my own research before forming any opinions. What I found was truly alarming: the main individual behind that Facebook group has a documented history of serious issues, including animal cruelty charges (all public record). His daughter once briefly worked with Vince - the owner of Epic Dog Academy - many years ago at a completely separate business. Shortly after, Vince left to establish Epic Dog Academy with his wife, Olivia. To be clear, the two individuals who now run that Facebook group have no real connection to Epic Dog Academy. The false claims they're spreading about the owner are completely unfounded and unsupported by any evidence, plus most of the negative comments appear to come from people associated with them. Once I realized the truth, I re-enrolled Obi-Wan - this time in their day training program. I drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. It gave me total peace of mind to see him daily, and I can confidently say that not only is he perfectly fine - he's thriving. The results have been beyond my expectations. Obi-Wan listens better than ever, he's happier, and he actually gets excited to go every morning. Erin, his trainer, is absolutely phenomenal. She's patient, knowledgeable, and keeps me updated every day with photos and progress reports through their app. Christy at the front desk is another gem - her warmth and understanding make every drop-off and pick-up a breeze. Every single person I've interacted with at Epic Dog Academy truly loves what they do, and it shows. They treat every dog like their own. I can say with complete confidence that my dog is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible training here. Please do yourself a favor - don't let false online rumors stop you from giving EDA a chance. Check things out for yourself. I'm so glad I did, because Epic Dog Academy has completely transformed my dog's behavior and confidence. It's been worth every single penny (and I signed up for the Honor program!) I have given EDA permission to share my number with anyone who is hesitant to sign up. I'd be happy to share my experience with you if needed. -- Pictures of Obi-Wan were sent to me through the EDA app during his day training!

Stay And Play Pet Sitting

To say that I was extremely anxious to leave my babies (and home) in the hands of someone new for…read morethe very first time is an understatement. Casey Booram with Stay & Play Pet Sitting made my life and my babies' lives so much easier & stress-free For context, my dogs have stayed in a pet boarding in a prior city an hour away from our current residence. We needed to find a new place to watch our babies. I found Melinda (the business-owner) through networking & she got me connected right away with one of her specialists that lived closer to my area. We had our meet & greet meeting, and I could instantly tell that Casey had an amazing heart & had decades years of working with animals to back her up. Casey texted us throughout all the drop-ins (we were gone for a weekend) sent photos of our happy pups, and gave us a very detailed recap of their progress and state of the dogs after each visit. There's no price to put on the peace of mind that Casey was able to provide us and the thoughtful care she put into the time with my fur babies. She went the extra mile when she had no obligation to (staying an extra 30 mins past the scheduled time to earn the trust of my very skeptical, cautious, and anxious Chi). When it comes to pet boarding, it's very difficult to get live status updates + feel secure in how your dogs are doing. Being able to leave them at home and know that all their needs are being met while still being able to enjoy my vacation was a great experience. If you're someone in the area that has ever needed a reliable, experienced, and thoughful pet sitter -- don't hesistate to connect with Stay & Play Pet Sitting.

I loved the convenience of being able to book what I needed through the app, watch on the cameras, etc. We visited another location, and I could not stop raving about how much better this location was for numerous reasons. Unfortunately, the last time my dog attended, we were informed that he was expelled due to an interaction that he had with another dog. I was very surprised, as he has never shown any aggressiveness towards other dogs or people. He has attended numerous times and there was always positive reports at pick up. When I asked for the video, or an account of what happened, the staff was not very understanding. I was told that he was approached a few times by the same dog to play, and all times my dog did not want to, but on the final time, he responded inappropriately. I think that was really unfair. Why is my dog the only being held accountable? Additionally, when I asked how many dogs and people were in the yard, I was told 25 dogs and ONE person, which is "standard". What if the person had their back turned and did not see what happened? How is one person able to mange that number of dogs at one time? Why wasn't there any redirection or intervention the first few times the dog approached my dog? None of my questions were answered and I could sense attitude on the other end of the phone. I think that the situation was handled poorly and I wish I would have done more research on this place as well as any and all required trainings by the handlers (if at all), cleanliness of the cabins, person to dog ratio, etc. After reading and doing some research, I realized this was not the only one who experienced this. Disappointed but not surprised.
