    My superstar Sable Standard!

I consider my self and my dog Poem so very fortunate to have been introduced to Farren. Gettin a Standard Poodle has been my dream from a very young age and I knew I needed to be committed to train her in obedience and explore the possibilities open to us in dog activities and sports. Knowing how to do this was the catch until we met Farren, her personality, love for dogs and commitment to teach not just Poem but me as well was evident from our very first session. Farren understands dogs and teaches you the psychology behind positive reinforcement training. She will train you and your dog based on a plan to attain training and behavior goals you have. Mostly I trained along with my dog for many sessions and we obtained our CGC, but also took advantage of board and train while I had to travel. One week with Farren for Poem was remarkable. We are not done, so many more trying goals and I would not turn to anyone else to help us. Highly recommend Farren for all your training and behavior corrections.

Our Henri (English Golden Retriever), has PTSD from a fire we had a few yrs ago at our house. It triggered severe anxiety w panic attacks. Which brings on severe colitis. His PTSD has been a really hard road due to its severity. We could no longer kennel him at his reg kennel when we traveled due to him being on daily medications & his behavior. Sadly, I traveled a lot for my business & my husband works firefighter shifts. Not kenneling somehow was NOT an option. Somehow, I came across BoardnBehave. Farren took him on & has continued to work him w his behavior when he's w her. She has made it possible to be able to keep him as part of our family. We appreciate Farren @ Board n Behave so much. This is a text I sent to her regarding our recent trip away (1/4-1/8/23).... "Henri came hm happy & well adjusted. No crazy! No diarrhea either. Just like a normal guy w no drama! Seriously! The big deal of this does not go unnoticed & it's greatly appreciated by us. " Ty O! She also takes in Henri's support buddy Charlie (yorkie poo).

There is too much good stuff to say about this company/ Farren.... I've been using her services for many years (6) with 4 different dogs at different stages of there lives .... The difference is so dramatic... my golden child Bernadette (oldest dog) is my golden child.... Her obedience and off-caller recall is superb. I can walk all four dogs in public with no problems....3 of them can be off leash. Board n behave has saved me many times.....

If I could leave 10 stars for Farren I would! We came across Board N Behave on FB when we were looking for someone to train our 2 yr old poodle mix. He's a very anxious dog, had major anxiety around other dogs and people. Our hope was to be able to take Bogey with us on our family outings without him causing a major scene and for him to be able to enjoy himself on or off leash. I did quite a bit of research and spoke to a few other dog training facilities, but as soon as I spoke to Farren I knew she was the one. I immediately knew we could trust her and that Bogey was in amazing hands. He stayed with her for 3 weeks and literally came back a different dog, in the BEST way. From start to finish Farren was professional, friendly, an amazing communicator. My advice to those reading this- make the investment in your pups, it is 100000% worth it in the long run. Farren is your gal!! I could go on but will stop here. Thanks again Farren!

Farren is crazy good with dogs and horses. It's a talent I have seen time and time again from her dog Brandy to my dog Mack. I would highly recommend her for training even though its been more than 12 years since I've seen her. Maybe one day I'll bring her my Chihuahua mix to be wrangled.

Game changer!! Nothing beats a well trained dog... especially a well trained puppy! After sending my first 5 month old puppy to Farrah and seeing his amazing new behavior and well trained commands- I sent in our 6 month old puppy. Both dogs came home with so many new commands and great obedient behavior. After two weeks with Farrah both puppies can- load in and out of the car. Leash walk perfectly. Sit. Down. Stay. They have the place command down (where they go to their bed and stay until I release them). And both dogs have overall better behavior and are much more attentive to me and what I'm needing them to do. I plan on working with Farrah for a very long time! Highly recommend. I wish I had started both my puppies even sooner.

Best investment i've made. Farren has left an indelible mark on my puppy. We are now taking classes at Zoom room and I can see a marked difference in my puppies progress and others in the class who did not have the advantage of Training with Farren. Would highly recommend her to any new puppy owner. Thank you Marie at Woodcreek Bernadoodles for recommending board-n-behave. She is awesome and so knowledgeable about animal behavior.

Two of her happy clients, Parker and Izzie!

Before training, Forrest was a very playful and excitable pup who struggled with focus and discipline. He was easily distracted, didn't consistently follow commands, and had trouble behaving appropriately around children and other dogs. After spending two weeks with Elaine, our amazing trainer, Forrest came home a completely transformed dog! He's now obedient, focused, and confident -- even in high-distraction environments like parks and public places. He mastered six core commands and continues to respond beautifully to them at home. Elaine truly is a "dog whisperer." She's local (Murrieta), which made drop-off and pickup super convenient, and she went above and beyond to keep us updated. We received daily videos and photos showing Forrest's progress -- we looked forward to them every day and loved watching his transformation in real time. We are so impressed with Elaine's skill, patience, and dedication. Forrest is still the same silly, lovable dog we adore, but now he's also well-mannered, obedient, and an absolute joy to be around. Thank you, Elaine and Off Leash K9, for giving us the best version of our pup!

Our Golden Retriever puppy, Maple, was out of control with biting, destroying everything from her blankets, her toys, our backyard landscape, and even the walls and base molding around the house. We tried to take her on walks but she would pull us around the neighborhood, and every little distraction scared her to death. We've owned four other Goldens in the past and never experienced this kind of wild behavior. Then came Ryan... he assured us that this behavior could be corrected with the right leadership, so we signed up for his two-week boot camp experience. The two weeks seemed like forever but when he brought her home she was our same familiar Maple but oh what a difference in her demeanor and behavior. Then Ryan followed up with us a week later and he reviewed with us all of our challenges that we were still experiencing. We quickly realized the problem wasn't Maple, it was us. Lots of little details like how to properly sync the electronic collar with the clicker, and keeping our finger on the clicker button so that we could engage it in a timely manner, etc. Once we got the hands-on training that we needed, Maple has transformed into a sweet, calm and well-behaved Golden Retriever. Thanks Ryan for your expertise and your expert training techniques. Ryan really understands how to train your dog in a positive manner so that you can reward their good behavior instead of reacting to the dog's misbehavior. Now we're looking forward to our weekly Saturday morning park instructions with several other dogs and all kinds of normal distractions that Maple will have to deal with when we take her out for walks, fun and play. Ryan, you are amazing! Thank you so much.

I searched for months not sure when or who to pull the trigger with for starting training, pored through reviews, some referrals on local groups that seemed a little too good to be true to trust, etc. One of my 'final' ones was going to be Epic but I was worried we'd just be a number there when we had a pretty complex situation. So I found Kona Loca, saw that Christienne was her own small business, had good reviews here but also under her name at her time at the previous place, and decided to go for it. I don't regret it at all!! Christienne is great! She's very friendly, explains behavior concepts very well, does not provide judgment, and she absolutely knows what she's doing. I wanted to stick with her for my very anxious/incredibly insecure rescue dog because she has her own dog with similar characteristics. I initially wanted board and train for both my dogs, but she assessed the insecure one and suggested personal 1:1 training at home and community that might be more effective. If she was all about just the $ she could've just agreed with my push to board and train and I really appreciated that. Our 1 year old pit/staffy puppy Violet (love her) was kind of a nightmare. Constantly aggravating our adult dogs, barking and patrolling, no manners in any sense, just some basic commands *sometimes*. She did the 2 week off leash tailblazer with Bert and we can't even believe she's the same dog. This may be obvious but we NEVER would've considered taking her somewhere like the park or beach even on leash before because she was a headache, and now we can walk her off leash and trust her! She has a working mentality now and it exhausts her every single day so she is generally calm and chill after we work with her (just small training sessions doing her commands in the yard). Bert was excellent and provided text, photo, and video updates everyday, he is very friendly as well and gave us a very in depth training session once she came back home. He also followed up to ensure things were going smoothly and to see if we had any questions. Highly recommend and have personal experience with both Bert and Christienne and will continue recommending!

She had taken care of my dog and cat several years ago and when I hired her for a 3 week stay I was confident that they and my home would be well cared for. The countertops in the kitchen was not clean, the floors (all laminate easily mopped) were stained and dirty, and her long hair was all over the floor in my bathroom (which she wasn't supposed to use). My housekeepers then advised that when they were there the living area was full of feces (pictures taken) -- much more than a small dog could have produced in several days. She was to administer an ear medicine on my dog and altho it appears she did, her ear was so greasy that the groomer had to cut quite bit of her beautiful long hair as it was too matted. Jennifer was to walk my dog 1-1.5 miles every day. After all this I decided to check my ring camera. At no time did she take her out for more than fifteen minutes. Impossible to walk that distance in the short period of time. No wonder the dog pooped in the house. The long haired cat was well groomed but that is the only positive thing I can say.
