I personally am a certified dog trainer for a large pet store and while they are amazing for the basics I wanted a more expert opinion when it comes to more extensive dog training. I have a 4 year old Maltese who I've self trained as a a psychiatric service dog. Nacho is wonderful very well mannered, but has always had a bit of his own anxiety. Since I'm up to date on lots of training methods and I wanted his advice personally, he agreed to doing a private session with me. I brought everything for the session, his fancy FI dog collar that tracks him, his working vest, short lead, distance lead, his e-collar and of course treats. I told him that the e collar training I've done with him is modified as I don't have one that shocks only noise and vibration. He said while he gets results almost immediate with a classic e-collar conditioning, he is willing to do whatever I am most comfortable with. Nacho has off leash recall but only conditioned with the vibration, and because he's only 7 pounds and I got the most lightweight vibration collar I modified it to be on the back of his harness which works perfect. Again Vince will only do whatever you're comfortable with and better yet he'll explain the reasoning of how each training tool is used and why it works. While I know Vince could have gotten my dog to do 4x as many commands in the time frame that we spent working, it was more important for me to learn what he was preaching and my god was it amazing! Everything started to click and make sense which gave me so much more confidence in myself and my boy Nacho. I can tell he has had many years of experience and if I ever have any more concerns or questions I will happily put money down to see him again. Any dogs that I come across that need behavioral help will be going his way. While it can be pricey it is so worth it! Take the time to get his advice and opinion it's well worth it! 3 Strikes your out!…read more SCAM SCAM SCAM I first brought my pup to this vet November of last year. We just moved to the area and my pup was experiencing a bad ear infection. They charged me more than $1,200 to clean and run tests. During the cleaning the vet was informing me of medication that would help with my pup's seasonal allergies which was around $500 a month. I am not exaggerating at all. They pushed it until I told them that my wife was gonna give birth any day now & I didn't want to commit it so soon. Two weeks later we came back to the vet for a check- up and they insisted that my pup start his $500 a month medication. I declined it at the time and wanted to do my own research before agreeing to the medication. Another week passed and a more budget friendly medication was mentioned. We agreed and went to the vet to pick up a monthly dosage. When my wife arrived to the front desk to pick up the medication the staff was a little confused on which medication was ordered. When my wife mentioned the name of the medication, the staff automatically said that " your husband denied it initially because you couldn't afford it." Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. We were upset at comment but decided to brush off and continue to go to the vet since we were new to the area. I wonder why they never mentioned this from the start and why the expensive medication was the only option at first? We go to the vet once a month to pick up our pups medication and would call 3-4 days ahead before he runs out for a refill. Earlier this week I called the vet to ask for a refill and mentioned that my pup had 3 days left of medication. They said they would speak to the vet for approval for the refill. They called me back and mentioned that my pup has not had a bi-annual exam and unfortunately they cannot refill his prescription without one. They did not have any appointment left for the week and the next available appointment would be two saturdays from now. Note, I called on a Monday.. The staff kept mentioning that my pups bi-annual exam was overdue a couple months now.. ok, why am I only knowing this now when I come monthly to pick up his medication? Why can't I get a refill until his next appointment? So this tells me that you would rather have my pups medication run out just so you make sure I schedule an exam for a little extra $$? Enough is enough. I am highly disappointed and would not consider this vet to anyone. The experience I had shows that they care more about the money than the health of your pups. I will not be bringing my pup here anymore and will take my business elsewhere. Thanks for showing your true colors. Don't be fooled by the signs and pictures. They only want you for your $$.

A few days later, she contacted me asking, "how is the pup," requested pictures of him, and described him as "a very sweet pup." I am disappointed that rather than acknowledging our experience, the response has been to deny that we purchased our dog from them at all. We toured their house prior to Grayson's stay and it's well kept, clean, with great big yards both front and back. Grayson came home more obedient, learned how to dress before going outside and "get naked" after going outside, load in and out of the car, ring a bell to let us know when to go potty, "touch," sit, down, and the biggest thing for us is he's more comfortable in the car and listening to music (he used to bark at music like crazy). He doesn't pull on his leash as much and walks are more comfortable and less stressful. Grayson even got socialized with other dogs and cats! He does not bark as much anymore, which has been great for my nervous system Grayson got a bath before he came home and came home with a wonderful goodie bag. They used primarily positive reinforcement training with Grayson with some other tools. It was very effective. Working with Shannon and Sierra, you can tell they really care about their furry clients and take a lot of pride in their work. We will definitely be using them for future boarding for our furbaby.
