A friend recommended Cyndi for pet sitting services when I was searching for a pet sitter in preparation for vacation. I was leaving out of the country for a couple weeks and was very anxious because I had never left my pets with anyone besides family members, I've never left them at a pet hotel/ sitter/ or someone's house, and I had other animals including chickens that need to be tended to. When I reached out to her for information she responded within a couple hours and we set up dates and times for a meet and greet. Cyndi and members of her team came out twice to do a meet and greet with my dogs and went over their daily routine as well as my other pets including our bearded dragon and chickens. While I was gone she communicated frequently throughout giving me updates and sending me pictures. I set up services with her to come twice a day to care for them and each time she checked in and out I was notified via Petcheck dashboard and felt completely at ease knowing I didn't have to worry about them. My bearded dragon was having issues prior to my vacation but she took the time to replace any heat lamp/ light bulbs that needed replacing and gave her a good bath. She made sure my chickens had enough food & water and collected all our eggs. I would 1000% recommend Cyndi if you have any pet sitting needs. She is caring, responsive, reliable, and easy to work with. The petcheck dashboard notified me when she checked in morning and evening on a daily basis via email notifications, allowed me to pay for my services and gave me the option to request additional appointments. When I returned from my trip my dogs were extremely happy and looked very well cared for. My bearded dragon was perkier and her aquarium clean. I am extremely happy with the service Cyndi provided and I will definitely use her again in the future. read more

Really negative experience with dog sitter clearly not following instructions, not paying attention to the dogs, and having to be contacted numerous times to rectify basic instructions. Received a noise complaint for the first time in my life and came home to very stressed dogs, resulting in having to terminate service early and being gaslit that they've "never had these issues." I've also "never had these issues" with other dog sitters. Would not recommend. read more

I used cyndis critter care for over two years and loved them the first year. Then, my German shepherd mix tore her ACL. I have two dogs and the injured one was to be taken ONLY on a ten minute small walk due to being hurt waiting for surgery, and my other dog to have a normal 30 minute walk. I was not home (obviously why I needed the walk) and I would come home to my dog completely three legged lame, not being able to put any weight on it. I then knew they were not following directions. I came home a few times by chance during the walk and both dogs were out for a 45 minute walk. Clearly they do not know, or care to follow directions. I was home and one of her dog walkers came in, wanting to take them both at the same time. I again mentioned the injury and that only one of my dogs needed walks. The walker had a huge attitude and started to guilt trip me over my other dog being "left behind" on the walk. She was fuming with negative energy. I had to ask her to leave my home. When I called Cindi with concern, I was also met with a hostile attitude saying they are frustrated with me as a client because of unclear communication, even though they had been told multiple times to walk them separately. She was not concerned with how her walker treated me or that my injured dog was being walked excessively. She also had told my mom about how horrid the recovery from the surgery is which causes me anxiety and guilty, even though I keep being reassured by the vet that it's not. It seems the reason they were not able to follow instructions is because they think they know best over a VETERINARIAN. I think I'll listen to the vet on this one. I wouldn't recommend because of their lack of ability to follow instructions, as another review below me has noticed as well. read more

We've been using Cyndi and her team for over 6 months now and they have been amazing. they watch both of our fur babies - they're always really good about remembering the small things we ask them to do like switching food up or measurements of things. Her whole team has taken care of our babies a few times too when we had family emergencies and were so kind and understanding with last minute schedule changes. They are always super respective of our home too, we never come back to things being extra dirty or out of place. Highly recommend them! read more

We went on vacation and Cyndi took care of our two furry babies, and she did a wonderful job! Our boys got walks each day and were well taken care of. She even picked up the dog poo in the backyard. She visited twice a day and sent us a picture of them each time she was there so we never had to wonder if they were taken care of. We got a notification when she arrived and when she left. I have used Cyndi's Critter Care service for my dog and cat for a lot of years--so many that I've lost track! They've always been superior at not just meeting the needs that I'm requesting, but they are so conscientious that this last visit when there were unexpected high winds, the service looked around the property and secured anything that could be damaged. Not one thing was lost or damaged because of their extra effort. When I first started using the service, my Papillon and cat bonded with them right away. I appreciate that they update me after their visits, it really puts my mind at ease when I'm traveling. The Pet Check app is easy to use to schedule and keep track of the visits. Highly recommend! After our original pet sitter bailed out on us 2 days before we were leaving on a family trip, our neighbor recommended Cyndi to us. I reached out to her and she responded quickly. Needless to say, we felt totally comfortable leaving our zoo under her team's care(2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 beta fishes). We would get notices and pictures every day from either Cyndi or her team on each visit. She uses this cool magnetic bar code system that she slaps on your fridge for check-ins. It was very affordable in my opinion, if you break down how long each visit took. Cyndi and her team really cared for our pets which we really appreciated and couldn't ask for more. Really, five stars aren't even enough! My two dogs were less than welcoming when Cyndi came to care for them in my home. I though I would have to go back to boarding them. Cyndi and Karen not only made friends with the little scamps, but I believe the pups are a little disappointed when I get home. We have been using Cyndi's Critter Care for many many years. Our numerous dogs, goats and chickens have been exceedingly well cared for while we are away. We never have to worry about not being home. The one time our beloved dog got very sick while we were on the other side of the country, Cyndi spent most of the day with him at our vet. The care is over an above expectations at all times. Additionally, she always makes sure to communicate any issues or concerns to me, so I know my dogs are in good hands. This review is long overdo! I have a much different perspective on using this company for pet care. We did our diligence and interviewed many pet sitters, a friend had recommended Cyndi....even though the price was Much higher than other sitters, we decided to give them a try. We wanted overnight care, as we had 2 older girls, one of which we felt better comfy at home the very few times we travel far. Never have left them nor used a pet sitter before! We tried the person she advised us to use a trial weekend, it went ok....had a long trip planned in the future, so trying to do our best to make sure our dogs were well cared for. We were always assured all was fine, never had the check in's or pics that were promised, but Cyndi was very reassuring on care, so we trusted to leave them for our long trip. What a HUGE mistake!! Each and every day we checked in the pet sitter was not there when supposed to be, had neighbors come to door to check, not at our home when I rec'd texts that he was here! I will try to make a long story short....every time I had a concern about the care of my dogs, Cyndi said oh they are fine, he loves your dogs....never, ever once went in our home to check on them! We were in OK, a long way from Ca....and decided we were so worried, we needed to get home and cut the trip of a lifetime that had been planned for years way short. My dogs are more important.....we drove non-stop for 24 hours and did not advise we were coming home until a few hours before. We never got pics of our one girl taking walks as she was supposed to every day. According to neighbors she was never walked! The deciding factor was a video our doorbell caught of him YELLING obscenities at our old dogs because the neighbor had complained they were barking, and we were assured non stop by Cyndi how much he loved our dogs and was doing a great job! You'd think she would know her employees better and at the very least check on dogs if an owner not only has one concern, but had to call her multiple times during our absence! On arrival home, we literally found a huge box of empty alcohol bottles in our trash(which we have pics of) and enough that was clearly out of it most of the time here, along with a huge bag of dog poop, so obviously picked it up at last minute before we arrived home.....I pick up dog poop twice a day, poor guys must have stepped in it numerous times during our absence....along with that our chicken coop had never been cleaned out AND they had NO water!!!!!!! Our one girl with arthritis was on meds and clearly over medicated when we got home, in addition to having some very strange sores on her leg!!!! Cyndi was of course very apologetic, but as an owner of a company did not do her job in making sure our girls were cared for!! Always assured us all was fine, an said when we got home how she was so unaware of her employees drinking and other habits....hmmmm! She assured us this person would no longer be working for her, however, I have friends who says he still does.....I'd be very cautious despite the other reviews, I actually check on my dogs! Since then, we have lost one of our older dogs, even though the pet sitting was back in Oct....it still hurts my heart that she had to spend a few days with someone who didn't take care of her....we have not been able to try a pet sitter since, this was very traumatic for us. read more

Highly recommended! We have an older dog who can sometime require extra care between medicine and eye drops to extra visits. Cyndi and her team always handle the situation well and give me peace of mind knowing I can depend on them. In addition, they include care of our 2 cats for the same charge. My dog loves Cyndi too! I also appreciate being notified of when their visits start and end and receiving a full update at the end of the visit. read more
