I really have to Thank PetSmart for all my furry family members needs. When we went on vacation, they gave him first class care. For food and snacks they have a wide variety of options and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I also bring my baby for grooming services and they don't miss a thing! I will continue to be an active customer. They make us feel like we are part of their family. Thank you PetSmart for everything! read more

If i can give them 0 stars i will! By far the worst grooming experience i have ever experienced it took 7 hours for my dog to get a simple bath and cut! And you would think they supposed to love dogs and animals over all but yet there okay with the dogs being in a small kennel all day unacceptable will never ever ever come back. Also i get there at 5:13 mind you dropped off my dog at 10:02 first thing i wanted to do was hold him and they told me no you have to pay first that's where i almost officially lost it. But played it cool read more

We left our Bluey in the care of this PetSmarts doggy Hotel for the weekend only to have him be neglected. These pictures I have attached show how Bluey was when we picked him up. When we left him there he was clean with no skin issues. I called the PetSmart when we got back home immediately only for the "manager" to tell me that it's very common for frenchies to get a rash because they sit all day. Umm excuse me, we've had Bluey for over a year now and not once has he ever had a rash on his testes or any skin issues. The manager didn't seem to care to help us all, all she said was sorry and recommended we use Neosporin over the counter for the rash. She also made it seems as it was our fault he got the rash because we didn't purchase a more expensive package, and that if was our fault that he had to sleep on blankets instead of mats. Um we paid for the comfy bed and he sleep on blankets!! UNBELIEVABLE!! How were we going to pay more when we were already paying almost $300. I would've given them -1000 stars but yelp makes you give 1. My recommendation is DO NOT bring your pets to this hotel unless you don't mind them coming home with an infection. If this rash does not go away, they will definitely be hearing from us again. Most upsetting was that they didn't tell us before we left that he had this rash, instead they let us go home and find it then. If they would've acknowledged that there was an issue we would've been a bit more understanding. Now our Bluey is suffering. SUCH HORRIBLE SERVICE!! NEVER BRINGING HIM BACK HERE AGAIN! read more

We took our dog here because we adopted him at this location. He needed full grooming (specifically deshedding) We've groomed him at our vet in the past but thought this would be more convenient based on location and well because we thought "hey it's pet smart..they should know what they're doing" this picture shows otherwise. Days after the grooming the shedding seems to have gotten worse. We understand that usually one or two days after is normal to still shed a bit but this isn't the first time we've gotten our little guy groomed and he shouldn't be shedding this much. To make matters worse we got him back with patches on his fur all along his back. First and last time we take our dog to pet smart "grooming". read more

Bought a fish from them and a week later mine all died from the parasite their fish was carrying. I'm so sad, I had my fish for years and they were thriving. This place needs to do a better job at making sure their fish are healthy. :( read more

I left my dog at their Pet Hotel for 3 nights in fairly good health. When I picked him up they told me he was doing fine up until an hour before I got there. They found him dirty with poop all over his legs, so they had to give him a bath, which they charged me $30 extra. When we got home, he was lethargic, weak, and was having black stool diarrhea. He can barely walk and just laid around limp as a noodle. I took him to the vet the next day to run some lab work and the results showed he had pancreatic infection. The vet told me he must have eaten something bad that made him sick. I ended up having to pay $860 dollars for his treatments, medicine, lab work, and one day hospital stay. Seems to me that the pet hotel staff didn't do a good job in taking care of my fur baby or the place was not well cleaned. I wish I never left him there. I know I will never bring him back to that place again. The only reason I gave them 2 stars as opposed to 1 is because they gave me one free night stay as a first time customer. It will also be my last. read more

We bring our two rescue POOCHIES here for the occasional daycare and overnight stay. I'm pretty snobby when it comes to where I leave my babies and this place always does a great job keeping them safe, happy, and TIRED from a day of play (and by play, I mean wandering around the room together because they're also snobby). I also love the "report cards" we get after each stay. It's always nice to read that they were able to snuggle up to one of the employees. Everyone who works here is very nice, and we always appreciate their kindness when we drop off our yappy puppy. read more

I came here to volunteer an hour to cleaning the cat kennels. I was unfortunately late due to traffic on the freeway and once entering, I approached a male worker who did not have any information on the volunteering. He advised me to speak with one of the cashiers - the middle aged woman with glasses - who turned out to be extremely rude. Our conversation went like this: Me: Hello, I'm here to volunteer. I'm supposed to be working with the cats, but I'm not sure where to go - Her: Sorry but we aren't associated with any of the volunteer groups. You are supposed to keep in contact with them, not ask us. Me: Oh..thank you. Very rude. So I headed to the cat section to look around and noticed the hospital at the back of the store. The woman there asked if I needed help. Our conversation went like this: Her: Do you need help with anything? Me: I'm here to volunteer. I'm supposed to be cleaning out the cat kennels but I'm not sure where they are... Her: Oh, do you know who you're supposed to meet? Me: Yes, her name is Katherine. Her: Alright, I'll call the manager and ask. A woman at the cash register will help you. Notice the difference! This woman actually let me talk and listened to what I was saying and was very helpful - unlike the middle aged woman at the cash register who was very rude and cute me off. I turned around and to my dismay, saw the same middle aged rude ass woman standing down the aisle with her hands crossed staring at me. Once I walked over, she said Her: Okay, you need to tell me more information about why you're here. How was I supposed to know. You need to be more specific. Go to the employee at the fish area and she'll let you in. Because of this, I no longer want to volunteer at this PetSmart and will be offering my services elsewhere. read more

This location is awesome! I come here to do my shopping for my pup OBEY a.k.a O.B. Most of our visits are for the pet hotel or dog day camp. When I go out of town or need to leave OBs somwhere I can definitely trust the staff here. I try and bring OBs at least 2-3 times a month to the dog day camp to have him socialize with other pups. He has such a blast and always comes home tried from playing all day. The staff is amazing and really cares about your animals. They feed them if you ask (bring your own food) they will give you a paw.gress report at the end of the day of how they did and any updates (#1 & #2) lol I care to know, so that's cool. The price is actually pretty reasonable and you can always add on extras like treats or ice cream for them to enjoy at a small extra fee. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed read more

Normally I would never review a huge corporation but I have to recommend the grooming salon. I have a short haired rescue dog and bring her here monthly for a bath and nail trim or grind. Mackenzie is by far my favorite and who I will always book with go forward. She pays attention to details on her nails even if that's when my dog is most anxious. Once she couldn't do a full job (they still looked good to me) and didn't charge. I love bringing my dog here and recommend it her. Appointments are easy to book as well. read more

Picked up my 2 dogs this afternoon from the Petsmart Pethotel for the very 1st time and boy were they ever so excited to see me & my fiance. We check in our dogs on Saturday at 10:30 am and the check in was rather quick because we came the night before to turn in our forms and show proof of our dogs' vaccinations. We received 2 coupons for a free night's stay when we came to the grand opening of this Petsmart sometime earlier this month and thought it would be fun to have a night off from our dogs. Anyway, the atrium room (which looks like a standard kennel, with some rooms being a little bit bigger... you have the option to book 2 of your dogs in the same room and pay a discounted price for your 2nd dog) is $30 a night and the suite is $40 a night (which allows for your pup to actually be placed in a room by himself and he gets to sleep on a raised cot and has television on. The TV is there just so that your dog has some familiar sounds of home). We had our puppy Chihuahua stay in the atrium room and our Cocker Spaniel stay in a suite (it isn't like we are giving our Cocker Spaniel special treatment, but we both thought he would benefit with the suite since he would be in a more quieter room instead of being out in the kennels hearing other dogs whine and bark). We also added 2 snack kong for $4 each per dog to snack on. You can bring a blanket & toys for your dog to enjoy during his stay. But just know that the pethotel doesn't allow for you to bring bullysticks because they say it can pose as a choking hazard & do not want to give them since staff will not be monitoring your dog 24-7. However, there is at least 1 employee at the Pethotel the entire time, so cats and dogs here will never be left here completely alone. We picked up our pups today before 12 pm (make sure you pick up your pets before 12 noon or you will be charged for another night, unless you decide to add a doggie day camp or utilize the pet grooming services, then the next day charge will be waived) and check out was fairly easy and quick. But I did not like that the employee who was helping us did not ask for our ID. Anyone could just come and pick up our dogs. Anyways, when the employee brought out dog number 1, he gave us our items that we packed for her (her blanket & plush dog bone) and a little "paw-gress note" (progress note) to let us know how her stay was and how well she did on getting along with other dogs, sleeping and her use of the restroom during her visit. Then the employee brought out dog number 2, who was just over joyed to see us. He really pulled the employee out the door to see us, lol. We also got all of this dog's belongings and a "paw-gress note" on his stay as well, which was really nice to read about. Now a few things to mention, you have the option to preportion and package your dog's dog food and bring it to the pethotel or they will just provide your dog with Science Diet (which is an excellent brand, but if your dog does not currently eat Science Diet, you may want to just bring your own dog food so that your dog doesn't experience diarrhea because of the new dog food). When we dropped off our dogs, the pethotel called us and wanted us to remove our Cocker Spaniel's dog collar (lucky for us that we were still in the store) because it is a hard one to remove (which we like because then someone can't just come right up to him and pull it off and steal our pup away). One of the manager's there (Michelle, who is very nice and Mya is also a really nice manager there) told us that if we did not remove the collar ourselves, they would have to cut it off. That is definitely pretty negative to hear. I'm pretty sure another dog owner would be very upset if they find out that their dog's collar was cut off upon picking up their dog. Now I'm sure you are interesting in knowing what the prices are, well here they are (because you won't find them unless you go to the pethotel or call them): Atrium Room $30 per night, Suite $40 a night, (both overnight stay options includes meals, 2 excercise walks and a hypoallergenic lambskin bed in the Atrium room and a raised cot in the suite. The lambskin bed is on the thin side, so you may want to bring a blanket or an extra pillow for your dog) Doggie Day Camp (w/ overnight stay) $18. Doggie day camp is $22 (all day), Half day doggie day camp is $16 (for 6 hours). An overnight stay for your cat is $17 (but your cat only stays in a kennel, no option for a suite like the dogs, sorry. Oh and the overnight option for cats include a lambskin bed, meals and individual TLC time with an employee). Cat day care is $12. A snack kong for your dog is $4 each, a doggie ice cream treat for your dog is $4. Overall, the facility is clean and I'm sure our dogs had the best care during their stay. Would check our dogs in here again. (1 star taken away for employee not checking our ID upon picking up our dogs) read more

The best thing about this place is my dog trainer Jenn! She is the biggest sweetheart, always lets us in on the sweet deals Petsmart is having and my dog absolutely adores her. As far as the training itself, she's great at what she does. She's an excellent trainer. My only problem with this place would be that the employees aren't that friendly. And I can't generalize the whole store because I'm not there 24/7 but when I do come in I happen to run into the same people who just look like they don't want to be there. If it weren't for the store manager (who is so awesome, he's such a nice guy!!) and my trainer I would probably go to the Pasadena one. read more

I've been coming to this PetSmart about 1x week, if not more, for the last year. My dog has completed her training at this location, gets groomed here, & attends Doggie Day Camp here. As far as the training goes I get complimented a lot on how well behaved she is, so I'd say it's definitely worth it... As far as the grooming goes I gave my dog a bath 1x & never again! I took her to a private groomer 1x, but the parking was so terrible so that was the end of that. Since then I've been bringing her here, I don't request anyone in particular so she's been groomed by quite a few of the Pet stylists, I've never had an issue. As far as Doggie Day Camp I was very surprised to read the negative reviews saying they starve/neglect your pets. Just so you get an idea I counted my dogs Pawgress reports, I have 61... In my experience during check-in they ask about feeding, & I do not think they neglect your pets, actually quite the opposite. I've gotten calls to verify if I want her back in camp after grooming because most pet parents don't want them to get dirty... I've gotten calls saying she has an upset stomach (which is quite often because she has a sensitive stomach). I think they take good care of the dogs and are very observant of their moods and behavior, so I feel more comfortable w/her playing here in a controlled environment vs. a dog park, I felt comfortable boarding here as well. read more

PetSmart - Jaws is styling - Pet Groomers Near Me - Monrovia, California

Our experience on Father's Day weekend began ok as this location seemed to have lots of employees that would provide care upon arrival when my pet checked in for doggie day camp. Unfortunately throughout the day while we called to check in the responses were simply short and versed with "she's ok doing fine" not really providing details when asked. What really baffled me and quite frankly upset me was at pick up when one employee specifically Erika stated that our pet was not able to be fed due to low staffing and a carelessness response of "well I can make employees come in". I view my pet like family and almost a child so for someone that I trusted to care for her to engage with their customers as she did led me to believe that she was overwhelmed and nonchalant about her work. I would have gladly picked up my pet early if a simple call would have been made explaining the situation. On top of this another employee that helped us after to check out stated we would get a report of our pets day, but when we asked for it she stated "we no longer provide those and are outdated" which contradicted her first statement. I've always gotten a report whether in grooming, hotel, or day camp which led me to believe they wanted to cover themselves on their part. Upon arriving at my mother's house the dogs ran to the water bowl and drank for about 5 min off and on as if they hadn't been provided water. I am very displeased with the service, the customer experience, and location. I had a hotel stay reserved for the next week but immediately canceled considering I was not sure how she would be cared for after this experience. I don't believe I will be using this location after this. read more

This place is always out of stock on the food we buy, and they usually only have one person at the checkout register. That wouldn't be an issue but they are slow as molasses! I'm a patient person, but this is way too slow. Everyone is really nice, so that's a plus. read more

This is the very first Petsmar I've seen with everything for the dogs/cats. I did not believe what I saw outside saying "pets hotel" until I walked in to check it out myself. I had to swing by to get a bag a food for my dog and I happen to see this petsmart have every feature a dog/cat needs. There is a Petshotel for people to leave their dogs here while they're on a trip or shopping and have no one to take care of them. Also, this Petsmart has a Pets Hospital, which I don't think many Petsmart have one? I think that's pretty good for a Petsmart in Monrovia. So if you have a pet dog or cat and dont know who can take care of them, check this petsmart out. :) read more

Yay! Petsmart finally opened a chain right in our neighborhood. Although the store officially opened this past Monday (1/16/12), the Grand Opening celebration occurred today (1/21/12). It's conveniently located right off of the Huntington exit from the I-210. For those of you who are in the area, Petsmart has taken over the old CompUSA building next to Office Depot. Being owners of 3 dogs, this is great news for us as it will be easier for us to splurge on our dogs. However, this is terrible news for the local fish store and Unleashed by Petco just down the street. Guess Petsmart has really good research team and correctly determined a market demand for a pet superstore in the Arcadia/Monrovia neighborhood. This particular location has Banfield, PetsHotel, Doggie Day Camp, Training, and Grooming services. This also means that the actual store feel slightly cramped compared to other Petsmart locations (i.e. Pasadena). In particular, the aquarium section is extremely cramped and offers no live plants tank. This means that picking up anacharis for our goldfishes will still require a drive out to the Pasadena location. Overall, we love Petsmart. We feel the prices are generally better than Petco/Unleashed and other independent pet stores. We really hope in the continued success of this wonderful chain and wish this new store the best of luck. read more

PetSmart - Actual opening day, Monday 1/16. No one knew about it... - Pet Groomers Near Me - Monrovia, California

I am OFFICIALLY done with PetSmart! I have taken my dog to be groomed THREE TIME and each time they said they could not groom her. The first time I was told they couldn't groom her because they did not have the correct blade to cut her all the way down. I took her to PetCo and they were able to groom her right away. The second time I was told they couldn't groom her because she was too wild. PetCo had NO PROBLEM grooming her. This time I decided to try the new PetSmart in OWINGS MILLS Mill Center. First, my appointment was at 9:30. When I go there another customer was waiting with her dog. No one was there to check us in. A little past 9:30, the workers came in. I left my dog and came home. I was then called to say they could not groom her because of a nail on her paw. I give up on PetSmart. From this point on, PetCo will get my business. read more
