Nice family member took over since the passing of the original owner. Price went up, like everything else. At first it was gradually, which was fine. However, this last time I was charged $75 for my 16 pounds poodle (size of my cat). Mind you, I paid $60, 2 months ago during my last visit. I was surprised and asked and she said I was charged the price of a medium sized dog. So with tips, I walked out paying $85. This was for a 30 minutes job. The place is well kept and clean. She seemed friendly to my dogs. Yes, I bring 2 in each time. I'm not sure I will return. I appreciate any other recommendations in the SGV areas. read more

Pet's Choice Grooming is my go to place for my dog Mochi. They are quick, professional, and do a great job with Mochi every time I bring her in for a wash and cut. They are a small family owned business and have been around for awhile. I highly recommend this place, great prices too! read more

I usually groom my dogs at home because their comfort and safety are important to me--and I consistently get better results. I decided to give this place a try for a simple nail trim, but it was disappointing. Despite being told all nails were ground, nearly half were left sharp, uneven, and oddly shaped. For a paid service, I expected professional results, but it looked more like the work of someone just starting out. I ended up redoing everything myself, and my dogs were clearly more comfortable afterward. Based on this experience, I won't be coming back. read more

First time customer and more than happy. Great cut and Cocoa looks so cute with the ribbons in her hair. Was done in one hour! Will definitely be back! Thank you! read more

Pet's Choice Grooming - Great cut! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Temple City, California

They always welcome walk-ins. Does the job for a reasonable price. Only complaint is that they don't vacuum excess hair after haircut.

Bark bark.. bark.. bbbbaaarkk.. bark bark.. :) Sniff.. *curiosity*.. (this isn't Disneyland) bark!!! My fur child wanted her bark to be heard. I'm sure my doggy (Pillow) just like many other pups get nervous and put up a fight when it comes down to shower time. Hell, I even throw a fit. When it comes to the nervousness and the thought of being left behind, many dogs do tend to feel isolated. I'm sure they think of the bad stuff they've done at home or while taking a walk in the neighborhood. Just like children.. they play, get dirty, want candy, and need attention and discipline. (Dang, I need a haircut soon lol) Pets choice grooming. Small, honest, local, and great service for your dog big or small breed. Prices are fair depending on your fur buddy size. The service you get is always the same. Fur, nails, anal glands, flea shampoo, and cute bows (if they're female).. I don't know what they put on make dogs.. are a great service and are done exceptional. Call in advance to make sure there's a open spot or play it safe and make an appointment. Either way.. don't let your fur child get stinky. Humans can get away with awkwardness by adding cologne/perfume to their clothing. Most of the time our dogs are naked and can be allergic to different scented products. This grooming spot can take care of your eating, barking, and pooping machines. Buy them treats and give them the belly rub they deserve. PS.. I need a new deodorant and cologne. Axe isn't cutting it anyone haha read more

I don't recommend coming here , I picked up my dog from here and she came home really off . I come to find out her jaw/neck is really sensitive and she cries when touching it , I have a feeling he did something to her or she fell and didn't mention anything when picking her up bc he was already upset that she had a little accident. Tomorrow I am calling and confronting him so I will update my review. read more

The guy was nice but he cut up my dog and didn't even tell me that they cut her. I will not be going back. read more

Been bringing my dogs here for years. Never had any issues, and my dogs always came out looking squeeky clean. What I like most about this place is that my dog gets in and out usually within an hour. My previous pup had heart, anxiety issues, so time was very important to me. Overall, great service and competitive pricing puts two thumbs up from me. read more

I love this place!!!!!! My dog zues always looks amazing after his haircut...I have been bringing him here for years

It has finally come time to write a review on this business. I have frequented this business only a handful of times due to its close proximity to my home. The value for my 8lb Pomeranian was great - only 40 dollars for a wash and cut. However, the last two occasions have been extremely concerning and therefore has merited a one star rating from me. In April I brought my dog in for a trim. The owner, who is an asian male, speaks very little english and my requests are never fully understood. The cuts themselves are very inconsistent- you never really know how it will come out. The shampoo scent is also extremely overpowering, so beware if you have a sensitive nose. However, this is not the worst of it - 3 weeks after my dog got his cut, I noticed that he was pawing his ear. As I began to clean them I noticed A COTTEN BALL BURIED deep inside the ear canal. There was also cotton inside the other canal as well. Thankfully there were no issues that came from this. I called the owner and all he could do was offer an apology. No refund and no credit. Anyone else probably never would have come back. I, however, chalked it up to human error and decided to go back. Yesterday, my dogs haircut, again was quite different from the time before. Upon going home I checked his ears. THERE WERE COTTEN BALLS LEFT INSIDE AGAIN. I brought the dog in to the owner and all he said was "sorry." Again no resolution to this problem. I will never again go to this business. I will pay the extra 20.00 and go to Petco. read more

I have a long haired Dachshund mix and we've always taken her here. It's about $40-$50 dollars. (It depends if we want to include the flea soap bath) The groomer is usually asian and can understand out requests. (It's a groomer not a stylist!) We've never had any cotton ball issues. Our dog "Sarsi" comes out looking like...a boy. hah (Which is fine because she grows her fur rather quickly) read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this grooming service. I was referred to this grooming service by a friend. I happen to have a little Shih Tzu male, who's a rescue & is very difficult , if not impossible to groom. This is due to the fact he was severely abused, in his past life. His former groomer refused to continue grooming him , and I certainly couldn't cut his hair. I finally was able to take him to Pet's Choice Grooming, they were very friendly, & did an AMAZING job with my dog !! The price was reasonable. They basically charge a flat fee, but are GREAT, with DIFFICULT dogs to handle. I highly recommend them to anyone. I will be going back every time to take my little dog. read more

Well got my dog a Maltese mix groomed here. All and all my dog was super dirty and they did clean him up. They trimmed his hair okay, well what can I expect right, it's not a salon. I've gotten my dog groomed at the Pet Parlor in San Gabriel before and they charged me 60 and just shaved my dog and he smelled like he hadn't been bathed, so here was an improvement. Well it was 45, 5 more for flee shampoo. The gut didn't really handle my dog with a lot of care. My dog was somewhat scared after. He is always friendly but Maybe he just missed me. Huge con though what ever they sprayed him with, maybe the flee shampoo bothered his eyes. He went to sleep in the car, Never does he do that. We got home and he was rubbing his face on the floor, a few hours later he could barely open his eyes. Luckily my Mom has a lot of experience with dogs and she got a large bottle of eyedrops for people but rinced his eyes every 4 hours for 2 days. His now better so thank god, he is so sweet and lovable and is always playing. I take my dog to go go pet spa now. Better hair cuts way cleaner and less expensive. Overall the best around. Eye infection loses 4 stars because if I would of taken him to the vet the cost would of been ridiculous. read more

Love this place!!!! my honey Bunny hates being away from home too long, she gets nervous won't eat or drink. They get her in and out in an hour can't ask for anything else. The place is clean and doesn't smell like wet dirty dog like some places. They also clip the nails of my other two dogs ( who are wild) quickly and sand them down so i don't get scratched up on the ride home. Fair prices I'm a fan read more

I've been bringing Bella here for years. I am pleased with the service and the staff is friendly and the price is pretty average.

I have used Pet's Choice for over 10 years. The owner WenDee is reliable, on time and quick. My dogs adore her and are so excited to see her every time we go in for an appointment. Her prices are reasonable and she does excellent work. Her knowledge of animals and their need far exceeds any other groomer I have ever used. read more

This place is amazing not only are they good workers but both the guy and the gal actually LOVE animals. I'm so sad because since then my Bruce lee and Princess have passed away but i will never forget how caring they were even when my babies were at there worst due to an an eye tumor (Princess) and a cancerous leg tumor ( my Bruce Lee). I just want to thank you both for having such beautiful souls. BTW. My only consolation is that....." All dogs truly do go to Heaven". Amen to that. Miss you guys, God bless. read more

I asked for a they completely shaved my dog. She then came back with hurt, she is bleeding from her ear and neck, I am never coming back to a grooming place that hurts my dog read more

$30 for my mini poodle (20lbs). The man nicely trimmed my dog, pulled ear hairs, cut hair between toes, cut hair around the anus, and made my dog look like an alpaca. He is a male and smelled a little too perfumey for my liking. If possible, ask them to tone that down. They finished in 1 hour! Only issue is that my dog came back scratching for a few weeks and he started tearing up more often. I can't say if this is from the groomer or not though. (Update: Went to Classic Cuts Grooming in Temple City. AVOID THAT PLACE.) Update: Went back and price was up 5 dollars, but worth it. I just told him to tone down the perfumey scent this time. My dog wasn't scratching this time either which might suggest it wasn't due to the groomers the first time around. read more

I have a shitzu and usually the man does great! It is hard to do the same cut on your dog consistently all the time since every dog is different! Like someone mentioned earlier he is a groomer not a stylist. I am a fan of this place I have tried other places that speaks better English and the cut was a lot worst! Man is always nice every time I have gone. Have been a customer for the last 6 years and will be more years to come! read more

He is so nice and takes really good care of my dogs. He even saved my beagle and he looks and is much happier. My other dog has a cyst on his face and is blind. He won't let anyone near his eye, but some how this man gets all of his eye crusty out. read more

Have taken my dog here before and thought it was a good place but its NOT! I took my dog to a new groomer and he asked me who was his older groomer because he has been doing a horrible job. The new groomer told me that his glands had not been cleaned in a while, his ear hair had not been fully taken out, and that his old hair cut was wrong. The funny part was i had just took him not even a month ago to Pet's Choice and remember he was training someone new. I now realized that probably the person training did my dogs grooming and he even charged me full price and the grooming what CRAP! read more

I don't think I will ever come here again.. I pay 60 bucks for my English springer spaniel to get his hair cut, nails cut and his ears cleaned. My dog had both ears infected.. And I had to pay over $200 in meds for him. I'm really starting to think that they never cleaned his ears. Won't come back here again. read more

Found a stray dog that I decided to keep after a few weeks of it not leaving he had very matted hair and brought him here. Came out very satisfied with his cut and wash and also with the price!! Will definitely be bringing him back. Only regret was not taking before and after photos read more

Too bad I have to give a star. If I could give them a negative rating I would. I took my dog in for an anal expression and after the groomer did the expression he tried to wipe my dog down with lysol wipes - WTF. Luckily I objected. So bottom line is if you want your pet to be safe don't ever bring it here. read more

Been a patron of this grooming store for the past three years. The owners are so friendly and do a really good job grooming our two dogs. I'm a big fan of supporting small businesses. Instead of going to one of those mega pet stores to get your dogs groomed by some inexperienced high school kid, go here. They always give me a good feeling that they know how to take care of their pets. PAWS UP!!! read more
