We had such a good experience. Took my dog yesterday to get a groom. My dog has a difficult time with his nails being cut but the groomer was very patient and kind, we got it done and his nails got filed. So grateful for the groomer's patience. Oreo looks awesome!

I highly recommend bringing your furry friends here! This was my pup's first haircut at just four months old, and the owner was incredibly patient and gentle. You can tell right away that she's a true dog lover. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in great hands. She has plenty of experience with puppies--during our drop-off, I noticed two other pups under a year old in her care. I originally found her on Yelp, and we couldn't be happier with the service. We'll definitely be returning every month!

I brought my small poodle mix in last week for a full groom for the first time. While my dog has been groomed many times before (with Iron Maya group for the past year), I was looking for a new groomer who offered a more personal touch that we could grow with. My dog is very wary of strangers and exhibits separation anxiety when we are apart. I was very nervous that my dog might be uncooperative for the groomer, but the owner, Elsa, was so kind and understanding. Elsa was very loving and gentle with my dog as we went over how best to groom her. She spent time with my dog to help soothe and calm her for the best possible experience. I really appreciated that effort and left feeling comfortable with my decision to bring her here. Upon completion, I was texted a photo with a message that my dog was ready to be picked up. Her cut was adorable, she smelled amazing, and she had been given a cute, ruffle, bowed collar. I mentioned that my dog does not do well being kenneled for long periods of time, and when I went in to pick her up I observed her freely moving around the floor behind their dog gate. I look forward to bringing my dog back in a month or so. Bluemoon may just be our go-to groomer now and I would recommend others to check them out. The facility is very clean. You can see right in to their grooming area through the glass. Parking is plentiful. 5 stars for the fantastic customer service, skilled groomers, and very fair price. I would recommend calling or texting rather than Yelp messaging.

When I say this was an amazing experience I mean it! I've had three dogs and always gone to Petco for grooming so this was the first time doing a grooming salon, let me say I'm never going back! Elsa took such good care of Hercules even though he's very shy, this type of care you don't get at big business who only care about how much you spend. She was super sweet to him and explained quite a bit to me. I'll be sure to recommend this place when I can. They've earned a new loyal customer I'll pass on the kindness they've shown to me and my baby! :D

I found an abandoned dog in the street. It was so gross and ugly with matted fur that I had to get it clean. I took it here for Bluemoon Pet Grooming. They were very nice and cleaned the dog up. Workers were very kind to the dog and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. You also get free candy and drinks. Highly recommend.

I've used several groomers around the area, one bad and the others just ok. Looked to Yelp and found Bluemoon. It is a new place not far from me and I was willing to give it a try. I called and was able to get a same day appointment! Elsa looked at Coco and asked if I wanted the Asian Fusion Cut. I said yes but didn't have high hopes because when I've asked for the same at the other places she came out with just a puppy cut. When I picked up CoCo, and looked just like a little cotton ball puff. So cute! Not only did she give a great cut, I could tell that Elsa was very caring and gentle. Coco was very happy walking out of there (sometimes she has shakes and anxiety when I pick her up). Elsa gave her hugs and kisses before we left. I even received a little video later that night of Coco's day at the "spa"

I love Bluemoon! Elsa is so so friendly. There's a small language barrier because she mainly speaks mandarin with some English but she understands me enough to nail my dog's haircut every time! I like to show her reference photos I find online of similar looking dogs and explain to her that I want my dog's fur "not too short but not too long" with teddy bear face. He comes out perfect every time and his legs are the perfect length every time. Before I leave, she always makes sure I'm happy with how he looks and adjust/trims if I am being nitpicky (me problem). I don't particularly like the fresh cut look because it looks too "clean" but he looks absolutely perfect in like 2 weeks when his shag comes back! I can tell how much she loves her job by the way she speaks to him. I've gone to many many many groomers in my 20 years of dog ownership and I am loyal to Bluemoon! She is really flexible with appointments and I usually call a week in advance to get an appointment and she always has availabilities based on my schedule. I drop him off, remind her what I want, and pick him up when she calls/texts me in about 3 hours! It's in a shared lot with other businesses like a laundromat and more but I've never had issues finding parking. read more

Highly recommend! I was looking for a last-minute grooming service and found Bluemoon Pet Grooming on Yelp. They were able to squeeze me into their tight schedule, which I truly appreciated. The staff are super friendly and very gentle with my senior corgi, and love how genuinely they care for my baby. They treat your fur baby as if it were their own. I had such a wonderful experience with BlueMoon Pet Grooming! The place is incredibly clean--honestly one of the cleanest grooming shops I've ever seen. Sasa, the owner, truly cares about the pets. You can tell she puts so much time, love, and attention into every detail. We didn't expect the level of care our pet received--it really goes above and beyond. She also took the time to educate us on how to better care for our pet, which we really appreciated. The entire team is warm, friendly, and welcoming. You can see that the pets feel comfortable and happy around them, which says a lot. Overall, the service is amazing. It only took me 5 years to find the perfect grooming place...my samoyed is such a peoples person but i changed groomers countless times because he never seemed happy sometimes i would need to carry him into the place but ever since i came to bluemoon my samoyed loves it, he always pulls me in and everytime i pick him up hes always roaming around the place which i love that they give him the freedom to do so. Theres a bit of a language barrier between the owner and me but she alwayssss does an amazing job. The owner always send pictures and updates and is always honest (if i show her a picture and she cant do it or doesnt recommend it shell say so) Highly recommend read more

I 100% recommend this place for dog grooming! My dog is a medium/large size weighing at 50lbs. Elsa and her staff is very kind and welcoming. She definitely made me feel at ease leaving my dog in her care. I can definitely tell that everyone there loves animals. My dog was freshly bathe, brushed, nail trimmed ,teeth brush and many more amenities ! The price is honestly worth it as well! Definitely coming back again and making this place my go to spot :) read more

Giving one star because they haven't been answering my calls, been calling for a week and still no answer, until yesterday she finally picked up and was told the reason she didn't answer was because she was busy, she said I can message the number 626-621-6666, which I did but still no answer, unfortunate that the owner doesn't even try to communicate with you. Wouldn't recommend due to communications skills. read more

I have an older mini poodle and I had gone here 3 or 4 times and everything was great. I wanted to drop off my dog for a hair cut again this week and I tried calling multiple times and they never picked up, so I called on my wife's number and she picked up right away. I later asked if I could bring my dog in, and she said no because my dog is "too old". Despite her age, she's in good health, she still goes one 1+ mile walks and well trained (doesn't bark or bother other dogs). Giving 1 star because 1) the owner intentionally blocked my number and 2) I think it's pretty messed up the owner refused to help my dog cause of her age despite having cut her hair before in the past. I hope the owner sees this and changes this ridiculous policy just based on a dog's age. read more

I had never been here before and when I walked in, they welcomed me and my dog as if we were long lost family. The atmosphere is really cute. The groomers are very personable. They even offered me a cold iced tea to combat the sizzling heat outside. They did a great job on my dog although I do wish his face was left with more hair. But I understand too that he is hyper and wouldn't keep still. I do recommend this shop and would definitely come again. read more

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to share my experience. I have a dachshund who struggles with separation anxiety. When I arrived at the grooming location, the staff were welcoming, the place was clean and I had felt like I found my new go to groomers. I expressed my concerns about leaving my dog, especially since it was her first grooming appointment and she's not used to being away from me. They reassured me that she would be fine and told me they'd call in about two hours for pickup. However, when I picked her up, she didn't seem like herself at all. She wasn't excited to see me--something completely out of character for her--and she was extremely lethargic. She ended up sleeping the rest of the day and didn't return to her normal self until the following morning. I can't say for certain, but it felt as if she may have been given CBD or something similar to calm her down. If that was the case, I wish it had been discussed with me beforehand, especially considering her anxiety was known and openly communicated. For pet parents with dogs who have separation anxiety, I'd recommend looking into groomers that allow you to stay during the appointment or consider mobile grooming services. Just something to keep in mind when choosing what's best for your pup. read more

Elsa is an awesome person and a talented groomer. I brought my toy poodle here for the first time with a last minute appointment and she gave my Teddy an amazing cut. It was our first time using pet grooming services. Elsa addressed our concerns and she did such an amazing job on my puppy. Besides her talent, what I like about her the most is that she genuinely cares about dog's health and wellbeing. My puppy seemed excited and tired to see me when I picked her up after a few hours. Elsa sent me some cute pictures of my puppy to share her grooming moments. Look at how cute she is on her 1st birthday! I can't say enough good things about Bluemoon Pet Grooming! Making an appointment was super easy, and communication was great throughout the entire process. My dog is super anxious and has had some pretty rough experiences at other groomers, but Elsa magically broke though and was able to provide such an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, she was so patient and kind with him, and even though he was anxious at first, she was sending me updates throughout the appointment and I could tell he felt safe and comfortable. When I picked him up, he looked absolutely adorable--so fresh and clean, and he smelled amazing!!! He's never looked or smelled this good after a grooming session; I will definitely be back. I've been coming to this groomer for about two years, usually with morning appointments. This was…read morethe first time I went in the afternoon, and unfortunately the experience was very upsetting. I understand that my dog's coat can be difficult to maintain due to her hair type, and I always try to be upfront about that. This time, when I mentioned it, I felt judged right away. This wasn't the first time comments were made about my dog's knots, but this visit felt especially uncomfortable and unprofessional. My dog is extremely friendly and loves people, but she has always tried to run away during grooming appointments. Looking back, I should have trusted that as a sign. When I picked her up this time, the groomer continued to make me feel like a bad dog owner instead of offering advice or support. I come here for help and care not to be shamed especially when I'm paying $65 for a service. What truly crossed the line was when the groomer grabbed a comb and aggressively yanked it through my dog's hair to "show me" the knots. My dog looked visibly uncomfortable, and it really upset me to watch that happen. I was told to come back the next day to go shorter, but once I got home and looked closely at my dog, my heart dropped. I noticed razor burns/cuts on her body, and her stomach was basically shaved bald. For hours afterward, she was clearly uncomfortable moving quickly, constantly licking herself, and acting distressed. I had to apply something to help calm her skin. Because of how everything was handled the rough treatment, the judgment, and the injuries I decided not to return the next day. I also felt like the groomer didn't even want us to come back. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was not okay. No dog should be handled roughly or leave a grooming appointment with razor burns. I truly hope this doesn't happen to another dog or owner.

When I asked them about a future date the owner wrote back and said she didn't want to "manage a dog with special needs". She hasn't seen my dog in over two years and my dog is not a puppy anymore. She's been fine with vets and other groomers. Since this place is right next to our house we thought of coming back. What a terrible idea. Its so wrong for her to write what she wrote and wrong to not even want to see my little 14 pound terrier again.

I can't say enough good things about Blue Moon Pet Grooming in El Monte. Elsa and her team are truly amazing! Last Friday night, we found a small, older dog wandering the streets -- dirty and matted, clearly lost and scared. We called several grooming shops and even a vet hospital, but no one was willing to help since he was a stray. Then we found Blue Moon. Elsa immediately understood the situation and kindly offered to take him in the next day (Saturday). She welcomed us without hesitation and treated the little dog with so much kindness and care. The dog was quite nervous and even a bit aggressive during the grooming, but Elsa stayed so patient and calm, showing her true professionalism and love for animals. She did a wonderful job cleaning him up and even charged just the regular price. It's so heartwarming to meet someone who genuinely cares -- not just about pets, but about doing the right thing. I can't say enough amazing things about Blue Moon Pet Grooming! The team here has been nothing short of incredible with our two fur babies, Mochi and Lulu. Every time we bring them in, we leave with happy, clean, and perfectly groomed pups. Both Mochi and Lulu are naturally shy and a little nervous, but the groomers handle them with so much patience and care--it's like they know exactly how to make them feel safe and comfortable. It gives us such peace of mind knowing they're in such loving hands. After running into some issues with past groomers as one groomer returned our Mango to us with cuts, and another groomer returning her with a broken blood vessel in her eye causing a hemorrhage, we decided to look for a new groomer with the hopes of finding a professional and careful groomer that really knows how to take care of your dog and their grooming needs. We found Elsa and we couldn't have been more happy to have her groom Mango. It was very easy to make an appointment and Elsa's friendly and fun personality made us feel very welcome and assured us that Mango was in safe hands. We asked for a teddy bear haircut for Mango and Elsa really delivered! Out of all the groomers we've been to, Elsa did the best job possible with Mango and we couldn't have been happier. Our drive is approximately 20 min from Downey to Lower Azusa ,which we have been doing and will continue . My baby's love & enjoy getting groomed. Estella is more on the curly side, which means she does get tangled often. Blue moon team is just amazing, they always leave both of my baby's more than perfect. Absolutely in love with the work that Mia has done! She worked very hard to take care of my dog Buster. Even though I brush him a lot, she let me know that I use the wrong brushes for him and recommended some amazing brushes for me to use at home. I felt SO BAD that his hair was all over the salon!!!! She worked many hours to make sure Buster was super clean, soft, and smelling nice. Definitely will take my doggies back to this place as I cannot recommend them enough. Very small negative is, I didn't want any hair to be cut from him at all (even around his bum), but his paws and bum hair were still cut. I most likely was not clear, but I'm sure she only did it because she thought it would make my life easier. I'll be more clear next time, but other than that--A+++ on overall bathing. read more

Elsa , the groomer was super friendly and attentive, taking the time to ask detailed questions about my dog's needs and preferences. It was clear she really cared about making both me and my Hazel girl feel comfortable. The grooming area was clean and well organized.
