I've told her multiple times I've came to see a certain kitten and she ignores till one cat had diarrhea. She took us to the kittens and told other worker we only can see one at the time. ( lady with kids before us had nobody watching them with kittens and had all them kittens out and kids was left alone with them to)And she leaving then came back and said the one we wanted is taken. I had an appointment for 9:30 am on Sunday. When I got there with my little furry babies (Rico & Milo) there were 5 pooches in line ahead of us. So, I had to keep my dogs pre-occupied and distracted around so many other pets--it wasn't easy!! It's a little frustrating to have an appointment and still have to wait 20 minutes just to check in for services. We finally got checked in at 9:50 am. They had 6 groomers-all working on different dogs, so they were legitimately busy.they did a nice job on my boys after4 hours. I received a puppy coupon book (cost is $19.95), but, because I got the Top Dog package, this was free. I was able to use a $7.50 coupon towards the grooming service. A nice surprise! This is the only store right now not busy cause the coronavirus so why not buy something for the kids to enjoy, put a smile on their face & something for look at while we be stuck in the house. The store was really organized, neat, & not smelly with all the animals they have inside & the workers was friendly & helpful when you find them in the store lol. The fish tank I got was on sale for $39.00 but after all the things I wanted for the tank at the cashier it added up "127.00" lol. WTH right!!! I purchased 4 fish & guess what??? Two died!!! There goes $20 bucks lol. Luckily they have a policy if the fish dies before 14 days you can go there with your dead fish and get a replacement lol. Visited the store tonight looking for treats for my Guinea pigs and possibly another Guinea pig. As I was standing in front the chinchillas, one of them suddenly collapsed, I had went to a worker to let her know the chinchilla is possibly dying, and she tells me "it's just sleeping" it wasn't just sleeping, IT WAS STRUGGLING TO BREATHE. If it wasn't for the help of the other worker who said the chinchilla was in bad shape, the chinchilla would've possibly died in the enclosure. What makes it worse is THEY HAVE AN ON-SITE VET! Not once did the first worker think of taking it out of the enclosure and to the vet. The second worker took it straight to the vet. I've raised chinchillas for a while and I know that wasn't normal behavior for a chinchilla. Especially too cause you could see the chinchilla had an obvious runny nose. read more

We had an awful experience at the MilI Lani HI Petsmart groomers. I checked my dog in and came back 1 hour later to do some shopping at the store, she was still in the kennel not yet started. Dogs were barking in the back. When questioned the groomer about the significant delay she had a bad attitude and said my dog would be ready in 4-5 hours. unprofessional! I took my pup and left. I've frequented this store and this location quite a bit since they've opened. I normally get okay service. No associate ever asked if I needed any assistance while I'm there, no one really goes out of their way to help you unless you ASK for help. I started using their online order service and curbside or in-store pickup. The first couple times I used it, it was pretty good. The last time I used it, I ordered during business hours and expected a response fairly quickly since the store was open. After about 3 hours I did not receive a response, I decided to go to the store and inquire. After pushing the button in the store, I was approached by an associate. She asked my name, which I provided. She was unable to find my order, she asked if I received an email. I told her no, but I was just inquiring. I told her I placed the order over 3 hours ago, she then stated it sometimes take over 3 hours. She pulled a tablet out from under a cashiers counter to pull up my order. No one seemed to be monitoring this tablet or any incoming online orders. The associate returned with my order but I noticed that there were some extra items. I told her I didn't order them, she responded "yes you did." I showed her my order and she then told me that it was my fault because I came in before I received the email and that is why mistakes were made. I'd reconsider using their online order and maybe just walk to shop yourself. read more

I like the concept of having this pet store chain around, I just don't necessarily need it. I go in and browse, but I hardly ever buy anything. I think the prices are a bit high for me to splurge for my pets here. As long as we've been living in Mililani, I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I purchased something here. One beta fish, plant for said fish, and fish food. I might have purchased a treat for my furbaby, and I think that is it. I look at lots of things I could potentially buy for our pets, but then I compare prices online. They are normally cheaper so I go that route. Thanks for the ideas? I know a lot of dog owners appreciate that this location has a dog groomer, but I hear mixed things about that. Most negative comments about it would be that it's always too busy. My pups fur is easy enough for me to groom myself, so I don't require those services either. Don't get me wrong, I will always stop in every now and then hoping to find something to buy. Dropped by this pet store to get cat food. I haven't been here in a couple years, and it's gone downhill. For one thing, maybe they should set up a small doggie bathroom area so customers can let their dogs empty their bladders before they shop. The reason why I mention this is because someone let their dog urinate right on the side of the store's door! By the time I left the store, the sun had got to it, and the wind was blowing the smell into the store. GROSS!! Then they have 2 area rugs inside the entrance, both rugs were covered with dog hair! OMG! Obviously they don't realize "first impression is a lasting impression". When I glanced inside, the young workers were just standing around talking. Great! Employees of the month! The cat adoption area was sad and depressing. The cat's towels were in their litter boxes. How hard is it to go in and tidy up a bit? It'll take maybe 5 minutes? As for prices, I didn't buy my cat food their because their prices were higher than P*tC* and also W**m**t. Please note that I didn't come at peak hours either. I came during a weekday at 3pm. Within the past 2 days of coming in for necessities for our dog, we felt that we were surrounded by workers who had no desire to genuinely help us. Yesterday, it felt like the cashier was rushing us out when we asked for her advise about sizing. That night, we realized that the diapers we purchased were too small and therefore had to go back. Today, we went back in to exchange and to also get a pedicure. However, whoever was working in the front in the grooming section was no help whatsoever. We found out that it was by appointment only, but I had to keep asking questions about how to go about it. When she told me it was by appointment only, she continued to give me a blank stare so I had to ask how to make one. We asked if there were any openings in the afternoon or the next day, and she ended up telling us that they were booked until New Years. Both her attitude and lack of customer service made us upset, so we ended up walking out! In the past, we never had any issues... but it seems like most of the workers now don't care about their customers. Big shoutout to the woman who helped us today during checkout (bummer we didn't get her name), she 'in a way' made up for the terrible service we had encountered earlier. read more

I took my pup Maximus to get a bath and nail trim on his birthday (24 October). He just turned the big 01! He has anxiety, lots of energy and can be a bit of a handful. Ms. Anisa was the absolute best with max she took care of him even though he most certainly did not take it easy on her. I would recommend Anisa to groom all your pups. We usually shop at this Petsmart and have always had good service. The employees are all very friendly. The cashier today was helpful in suggesting contacting the manufacturer about Cheristin flea treatment for cats. We bought it from another store and the smell was too strong. My cat lost the fur where the Cheristin was placed, it did grow back. We purchased Petarmor today along with some dog and cat food. Our dog had surgery a few months ago and had stitches that couldn't be bandaged so we brought a dog jacket from here and stuck a bandage on the inside of the jacket to cover the wound. The prices here are comparable to the other pet stores and they are rarely out of stock on things we need. The lines can get long but it moves quickly, they open more registers as needed. read more

Our baby is usually hesitant when we first go in, however after a short while warms up to the groomers, she is always so clean, looks great and smells awesome. Called the day before to get the boys (dogs) cleaned up as it had been a minute since their last spa day. Was able to get an appointment with the regular groomer. Arrived about 10 minutes before appointment time, got checked in and was told that the groomer wasn't in as of yet so I could either wait or drop them off . . . Waved goodbye to the boys and went about my way. A couple of hours later I picked the boys up and they looked like new guys. The groomer came and updated me on how their day went and a couple of issues one of the boys has. Overall I'm a happy customer and will continue to come back! read more

Where's the ZERO star marking? I hate writing bad reviews. Let me start with the positive. This store is very clean and has a lot of fish. They have a variety of supplies for all kinds of pets. It's pretty impressive. Now for what was a BIG disappoint. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE from the manager!!! Here's what happened. I went in on Friday to order fish for our school's annual Fun Fair. I spoke to "Worker A" who was very nice. I asked if I could put about 400 comet/feeder fish on hold. She informed me that it's company policy to NOT put animals on hold. She asked when I needed it. I told her I'd come on Tuesday to pick it up. She said that if they did run out they have shipment on Thursdays. I told her that our fair was on Friday. So if they did run out, I could come on Thursday. She repeated the amount I asked. I told her it was for our fair. She said to come back on Tuesday. Flash forward to Tuesday. I go there and ask "Worker B" for 450 extra small comet/feeder fish. She was shocked at the amount. I asked if that was okay. She said it was fine but that it was going to take a while. I said that was okay with me. She calls on "Worker C" and "Worker D" to help. A male customer in his early 20s noticed I ordered a lot. He asks "Worker B" if he could have 4 fish. She makes conversation and asks if he was starting a new fish tank. He replies saying he was just gonna feed them to his other fish at home. In the meantime, "Worker C" is mumbling to "Worker D" about the amount I ordered. I felt uncomfortable...like I was bothering them. So I tried to make light conversation with "Worker C" since she seemed a little irritated with my order. I apologized TO HER about my order. She says over her shoulder without looking at me as she was trying to catch fish, "It's okay" in a "tone." I see that she's still irritated. So I continue, basically trying to butter her up. "I'm so sorry. I don't usually come here, but I wanted to check you guys out. We've been going to this other store for years to get fish for our fair, but I really wanted to come here." She immediately stops catching fish, turns around and stares at me all shocked, and says, "It's for a fair." I say, "Yes!" Thinking it wasn't anything. I thought she was going to say something nice about it. She stands up while "Worker D" continues to bag some fish. "I have to tell my manager you're buying these for a fair. We don't sell it to people if they're using the fish for a fair." She walks quickly away to speak to a manager. "Worker D" keeps on bagging, and I begin to feel nervous. I tell him, "Oh crap. I shouldn't have said anything, should I? I didn't know. He says, "Yeah, you shouldn't have said anything." He sounded like he felt bad, which was nice. "Worker C" walks toward me with the manager. She was not smiling. She looked at me as if I had just stolen something from the store. She tells me in a firm voice and without remorse for not being able to sell me fish, "We CAN'T sell the fish to you if you're using them for a fair." I asked why. She said that they couldn't sell animals to people that would endanger the fish. I explain and tell her that it was for an elementary school to raise money for the kids. She continued saying, "The kids that win the fish as a prize will be endangering the fish, and they won't know the situation they put themselves in. They may put them in a bowl or something, and the fish will die." I told her that the customer before me said he was feeding them to another fish and asked how that was any different. She just looked at me irritated and repeated that it was policy in a "I really don't care" tone of voice, and she walked away. The fact that I think that policy is unfair is one issue. Who are they to say that one customer is endangering their animals and another one who says the animal is going to be fed to another animal ISN'T endangering the animal? That's beyond me. What really upset me was the manager's tone of voice and how condescending she was when explaining a policy that I don't think most customers would know. JUST RUDE RUDE RUDE! Too bad. I thought the store looked amazing. I'll be sticking with my small, family-owned pet stores from now on. This was my first experience at big pet store, and I don't think I will EVER go back because of this bad experience. I walked out of there LIVID, but the manager didn't care...didn't feel bad. It was as if I had just told her, "Hi, I'd like to buy your puppies so I can kill them, make dog adobo, and eat them." She really was downright mean about it. I did NOT appreciate the way she handled it and how she spoke to me...and I sure as heck don't care for that policy. read more

LOCATION: In the Town Center of Mililani. If you're familiar with the area, this new building replaced what used to be Kaiser Permanente. Located on the same side of Zippy's and Long John Silver/A&W Restaurants. This store just opened about a month or so ago. It's become the place to go for all your pet needs. PARKING: There is a large parking lot, and during off peak hours you won't have any trouble finding a parking right in front of the store. However, during dinner hours parking can be scarce because of the shared space with Zippy's and the other restaurants in the area. If you're patient and wait for a stall, one will open up eventually. If not, go around to the other sides of the mall parking lot where it's not so busy. The shopping center is not that large and every merchant is within walking distance. PRODUCTS/PRICING: Large and spacious store, well stocked, reasonable prices. Personally, I've found that these prices are lower than Petco's prices. So far, I've visited the store to buy fish, fish food, aquarium cleaning supplies, cat food, and other cat supplies. I was able to find what I was looking for on every visit, and I walk out not feeling like I've overspent my money on things that I could've gotten cheaper somewhere else. They also have a dog grooming center within the store (like Petco does), and whenever we visit it's always so busy with pet owners and their pets going in and out of the door to the grooming center. The dogs look so happy going in as well as coming out! They must do a great job. :) SERVICE: The employees walk around the store to assist customers if they need help. On at least two occasions, I was approached by an employee asking if I needed any help finding something. I love that. I hate going into a store and you're not even acknowledged. Believe me, there are many establishments I've visited that do this. SMH. Any how, this store understands the importance of good customer service. On one visit, I did need extra help with answering some questions that I had in regards to fish care for certain types of fish. I asked several questions and the employees were very knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions. Love when employees know their job well. I'm sure you can relate when I say this but I love it when I ask an employee a question and they say, "oh, I'm not sure." I've experienced this on one toooooo many occasions. :( In summary, I love this store. My son loves this store. In fact, it's become his favorite store to visit in this mall (aside from WalMart, because they sell Cars and Thomas toys). Great location, always stocked, great prices, great service. read more

Of course I am going to give Hawaii's FIRST and ONLY PetSmart 5 stars, and for good reason! I have long been a faithful fan of PetSmart, so much so that it drove me to work for that company at one point in time. Having lived all over the world, I have been to many a PetSmart and I have yet to be disappointed by any of them. The Mililani store is no exception. I attended on Grand Opening day so of course it was packed. It appeared as if all of their employees were on-hand for the event and they all seemed very accommodating. The store itself is the smallest of all the PetSmarts I've been to but that won't affect my opinion of it. Being brand new, it was spotless. For everyone who is used to Petco, let me offer you this advice regarding PetSmart's grooming salon. PetSmart sends ALL their groomers to a 4-week long "Grooming Academy" where they learn the tools of the trade. They must successfully pass the academy before they are allowed to even attempt to trim any pet's hair. Even after their academy is finished, they must then complete 100 hours of in-store training under the watchful eye of the Salon Manager. If an applicant for a grooming position has already been grooming for some time, PetSmart will then send that person to be tested by a PetSmart grooming big-wig and must pass that test. So please don't ever compare PetSmart's groomers to that of Petco. PetSmart's groomers, or "stylists", actually know what they are doing and have the training to ensure that. The same goes for their dog trainer. He/she attends training as well. I am so very excited that this store is now open. I live in Ewa Beach where a brand new Petco just opened. I haven't even been to that store nor will I ever. I will surely drive my happy self to this PetSmart for all my pets' non-veterinary needs. read more

I've gone to PetSmart in Vegas and I was happy to hear they were opening up here. I always found a bunch of goodies for my kitty. This store is located in the Mililani Town Shopping Center and is across of Zippy's. It's not as big as the PetSmart locations in Vegas but they carry a good amount of pet supplies. I found a few things that I was looking for and I love love love that they encourage adoptions. They had an adoption center for cats to the right of the store. To the left of the store they hold puppy/dog training classes and in the front of the store is their grooming counter. I didn't see many cat trees although they did offer a bunch of different scratching posts. The store is clean and on top of supporting adoptions, they recently installed several "oops stations" around Mililani to keep the area clean so that every dog owner can be a responsible one and pick up after their pet. read more

I usually go to Petco but this was closer. I dropped him off around 8:30 and he was finished at 11:20. Almost 3 hours, which is no big deal! But when he came out, he was still super damp and he was shedding more than he was when he came in! I brushed my hand across his back and clumps of hair came out. And again, STILL DAMP. Not fully dried, the groomer Jenny put cologne so he wouldn't have the wet dog smell.. when he should be dried. I've had him groomed multiple times. Never has he still been wet. She also stated he showed his teeth to her when grooming his paws. I was In disbelief! My dog is not aggressive towards people or other dogs, and no other groomer has stated he was slightly aggressive when doing his paws, and he didn't even clean his fur around his paws like I'm used to at Petco. I'm worried that they weren't treating him the best because even when I discipline him or leave him with others he never showed his teeth. She was very nice but the quality of the groom was VERY disappointing. I will not be coming back for the grooming services here. $64.00 for a shedding wet dog, such a bad experience. Grooming service review: I was extremely hesitant to bring my Maltese here for a grooming. Our Maltese is very skiddish and nervous and I had taken him to a Petco before and had an awful experience there. He acted very distant and wouldn't let us touch him for a couple days after that. Ever since that experience we stayed away from big corporate pet store groomings. We took him to local small business groomers and then when his groomer stopped her business we wanted something convenient and close by. I decided to give PetSmart a try because of the convenience and we frequent there a lot. I called to make an appointment and the next opening was in about a week. Our dog went to Deanna and we were told it takes about 3-4 hours. He came back looking GREAT and in good spirits so I know he felt comfortable there. She did a great job and I like how they give you the "how I did today" pamphlet so you know the services your pet received and how they did. Will definitely be taking him back to PetSmart for future groomings! read more

Petsmart what can ii say...ii love coming to the store even tho ii only have Chinchilla's. The store had a variety of pet things n quiet a nice store to be honest. As for the customer service, now thats a different story. On any other day their customer service is great, not sure what happened today:((.. I normally dont yelp lots of negative but this really upset me:((. I was exchanging a round-about ball that was to small for my chinchilla. As I walked in the door no-one greeted us but cashier#2 the second register locked eyes with me while having a cust. in front of her. She looked at my item in my hand n ii smiled. As I proceeded to walk towards her cashier immediately after she was done with he customer this lady had the nerve to close her light KNOWING ii was just about to reach her register..Not only did she close her light she walked away from the register going towards reg #1 making us go in like a circle. Her thinking going to see her, when ii reached the reg she looked back n gave me this look like "errrgh u seen me kind of look". She then walked back to her reg. not saying one word, seriously not one word.. ii explained why ii was there n she had me get what ii needed then asked me to come back. ii told her Thank u n walked away. As ii was returning to the reg. ii noticed she was gone, so ii proceeded to stand in reg #1. When EMELDA ( her hair was covering her name tag) seen me so had this look on her face of irritation. She had us go to reg #2 n this lady didnt ask if we found everything ok, or nothing she didnt even smile...At this point it is what it is, its clear she seems to not want to be there. Before checking out my son mentioned to her that their water pipe was leaking very bad, can u believe this lady says NOTHING, not even acknowledging what my son had to say. I looked at her n said " Please make sure ur manager knows about that pipe that is leaking badly outside, this lady just knotted n said "yea we trying" um...trying what?? she clearly was paying no attention to what we were saying... Errrghhh ii am a stifler for customer service, but ii strongly believe that if u cant even hold a simple smile or be polite until we leave, then u shouldnt even be there. I had a really rough week after my wallet being lost or stolen. Everything is gone! I went to PetSmart today to get some items for my fur baby that just had pups. After my son got a blankie and a snuggle bed I was deciding if I wanted to use my last $20 on dog shampoo that was $17 I decided I did NOT want the hassle of Walmart so I opted to get it! Upon my cashier ringing me up she said someone had came in right before me and price matched online and the same shampoo was $6.99! She said she wanted to make my day and give me the same deal! As if she could see the struggle I was going thru! It may not have been a big deal to her, or anyone else but she lifted my spirits 100%! She's been here at least a dozen times for grooming and was always given compliments from the groomers. She's playful and is non-violent. One of the employees (short, thin Caucasian female) went up to Lexi and she jumped on the groomer then did a playful growl (which is her normal behavior). The groomer then says "we have a new policy and cannot take aggressive dogs, she might be having a bad day. You should have her see the vet". This employee doesn't know what she's talking about. Bruh...her attitude is bad. She was not friendly at all, compared to the other groomers. I told her that she's just playful. If this "policy" was implemented last month, they should've mentioned it over the phone when I made an appointment a week ago. Or mention something about not allowing "nip picking". This employee needs to be reconsidered working at the grooming salon; she should work in the back where she doesn't have to deal with people. I will make sure to never have her touch my dog ever again. Called Petco today and explained to her how Lexi is. The lady there says "oh yeah no problem, that's just normal dog behavior, as long as she hasn't had any history of being violent". (Lexi has graduated from puppy, beginner, and intermediate puppy obedience classes FROM this PETSMART location, has never been a problem with the vet, dog sitters, or previous dog groomers). *Update* Petco did not reject our dog and told us that her playfulness and nip picking is normal for young dogs! Shame on that PetSmart employee. read more

This review is for the grooming department. The groomers here definitely know what they're doing with your pooch. They're super friendly and really seem to love what they're doing. They really do care about the dogs that come in. And they did a great job on my Chester! read more
