    Beautiful chicken hutch.... in stock!
    Daryl H.

We've never really heard much about this place until we needed a Hutch for hens ASAP. But we're soooo glad we finally visited here! It's the only place where you'll find a chicken hutch in stock! On top the of that this place is LOADED with pet supplies. Pet foods, treats , toys, feeders, huge variety of animal feed, etc, etc. So of course it's become our go to place for chicken feed. Living up the road in Mililani this place is totally convenient for us. Great prices, very helpful, friendly family business. Cool place to check out!

Found Hawaii Feed while being totally lost in Waipahu on an unrelated shopping adventure. I wouldn't have pulled in to take a quick look had it not been for their inviting banners featuring a puppy, listing short hours of operation. From the looks of my brief visit, they carry common pet supplies for fish, bird, small mammal and dogs. I would say aquatic pet supplies and dog stuff are the most offered. A row of refrigerated products also for sale. They had $2 male bettas for sale when I visited. Maybe 5-8 only for sale, not a ton. Setting is warehouse, thus a pretty dark shopping experience and not many aisle tags list product categories. Think Fisher Hawaii, but for pet products.

    Freebies - thank you!

The staff here is really helpful and I had a great experience! Although there's no AC and it's a bit hot in the store, it doesn't take long to find what you need. We just needed another pet gate for our yard but couldn't find it, so we showed them a photo of their ad. They found it quickly for us. We also bought a rechargeable light up collar, since it's hard to see us walking our dog in the dark. When we checked out we also got a bag of treat samples, two of each kind. They also had a rack of items you could choose for free with purchase so we got a free squeaky dog toy. There was lots of other stuff like a plastic fish tank and tank accessories. The puppies in the front at the puppy swap meet were under a tent. We came later so most of them were sold and just waiting for their new owners to come.

Product in stock whenever needed and helping me load purchases into car was a big help. Thank you.

Always very helpful and friendly when we go to their store for our chicken supplies. I'm so glad that they're open on the weekends.

Found some items then stood in line to get the gift cards. While the cashier was ringing me up she stopped and asked, Is that rain? Sure enough. No parking stalls right outside their door. Hurriedly dashed to my car with my 5 items for Grandpup. Picking up Lunch and bank will have to wait til tomorrow. Cloudburst!!! At least accomplished 2 of the 4 errands today. I can work on her birthday card later this afternoon.

This review is exclusively for the GROOMING services only…read more I hesitated to leave my first review, but I felt that perhaps the manager ,or the public, would benefit from the feedback. Maybe I'll share my experience with corporate. From the moment I arrived, I did not feel welcomed. The groomer who I shall reference as "flower" did not smile or even say hello. I initiated communication regarding my appointment and details. There was absolutely no warmth, no greeting, not even eye contact, NOTHING but a strict transactional stare into her computer with irritation in the tone of her voice when she acknowledged my appointment. I had to request for clarification of my services since nothing was communicated back to me regarding what the groomer was intending to do. It would seem reasonable, or friendly at the very least, to communicate and confirm the services of the appointment? Upon completion of the service and retrieving my family member, I entered the service room and, yet again, the groomer didn't even bother to acknowledge my presence with a simple and courteous customer service focused greeting given a smile would have been asking of too much from this individual. With just a transactional stare into her computer, she asked "did you pay?" Perhaps making an effort to make your customers feel welcomed, acknowledged, and most importantly, appreciated, would strengthen your relationships and forgive any of your shortcomings. As we locals say "everyone knows everybody." I definitely hesitate to return to this location and will most definitely be staying away from the strong stench of this wilting flower. Outcome of grooming service: 3 star Customer services of flower: 1 star Mahalo!

I think it's a bit less species variety overall than maybe the fish shops in Kalihi and the aquarium concepts shop nearby in mapunapuna, but a bit more selection of fancy guppies at the same time. The big-brain flower horns, discus, some display tanks, and axolotls were a cool surprise. Some of the resident loaches were huge, especially the albino dojo near the front! Too bad I forgot to take a photo. That thing must be like a foot long and a decade old, and maybe as thick around as a portuguese sausage. Huge hump of fatty muscle along its back. I'd been wanting to check this place out! It definitely is a little cramped and cluttered looking inside and the smell is a little strong, but not too bad. There was a long-gone hollow goldfish staring at the sky, that gave me small-kine jump scare when I squat down to look at a tank. It was just randomly drying out at the bottom of a bucket in the aisles, which was, uh... anyways. I wanted to know more about an unlabeled and unpriced freshwater plant that somewhat resembles seaweed, so the buff dude grabbed a handful to show to the cashier lady at the front. The buff dude was attentive and personable throughout my visit, and did his best to answer questions about the fish, which I appreciated. The cashier lady though, she mumbled a name but I don't think she knew the plant that well and didn't write it down either. What she was somehow very sure about was the price, lol... just plainly stated the price for a clump is $7.99, though the tank of plants above it were organized in much neater clumps, and advertised at $5.99 each. Not only that, she had to step down from the cashier box to get her hands wet, and manually separate the handful of plant that the man grabbed. Started as a healthy, natural looking clump that would fit nicely in an 8 oz container, and she tore it in half. So, now it's small enough that it fits in the palm of your hand! Did she think to wash her hands first after handling cash and coins all morning? Nahh... But she was very insistent to him that he was definitely (and arbitrarily) holding two clumps, not one! She knew I wanted to buy it, and I'd already got a few pricier fish in my cart, so I guess she felt I could afford to cough up an extra few bucks. Yeah can, just don't think that I don't notice the grubbing... Business goes on as usual. I needed to get on with my errands that morning and eh, the shop has some local mom-and-pop vibes so I gave it a pass.

Our Lily girl is high anxiety and Rayy's confidence helps Lily know that she is safe, and keeping to our routine of about every 6-8 weeks has truly helped our pup. Every time we come in, she takes every client one on one and treats them as the best and like only dog in the world! It's especially comforting being a pittie mom, with the unfortunate constant stigma! Sales staff have also been very friendly when I come by for treats, food and toys for any occasion! The morning crew seems to work very hard, and through that effort, they manage to always help me when I need it. I hope our next home has staff as helpful and supportive!

When I called ahead, I specifically asked if there were any requirements or documentation needed, and I was told no because Hawaii does not require rabies documentation. When I arrived, they asked if my dog had any allergies, and I explained that he does not, but he does experience seizures occasionally. The woman at the counter with long hair and a ponytail spoke with the manager, and I was then informed they could not groom him because of the seizures. They asked if he was on medication, which he is, and whether the seizures were triggered by noise, which they are not. I explained they only happen every few months. While I understand policies are policies and I did not argue their decision, it was frustrating to find this out only after arriving for the appointment. The manager did provide me with a recommendation for another groomer, which I appreciated. The manager answered my questions and gave me options for types of trimmers that I could use at home. However, the customer service afterward was what truly disappointed me. I mentioned I no longer wanted my other dog groomed but was interested in purchasing nail trimmers. The manager asked an employee to assist me. The employee walked away, and I followed her, but then lost sight of where she went. I eventually found her sitting at the front of the store waiting for someone else to bring the item. When she finally acknowledged me, she simply said, "Oh, I'm waiting for them to bring it to me." The issue was not the wait itself, it was the lack of communication. I was left standing there confused, having to look for the employee, only to find her sitting down without ever telling me what was going on. Overall, this experience could have been handled much better with clearer communication and stronger customer service.
