Wanted to upgrade my axolotl's tank and get a better quality filter. Stopped by pet depot after work and was helped by Carina. She was very friendly and helpful, told her what the tank was for and what I was kinda looking for and she showed me some options. She then took me to her computer and showed me the dimensions of the tank I was looking at( just to make sure it'll fit on my stand at home) I called them back when I measured it and she told me she would have her boss call me and send me an invoice for the tank. Fast forward bought the tank and told them I'd pick it up the next day after work. Come that day to pick up my tank Ryan (the manager) helped me. I told him I wanted a good quality filter so I wouldn't have to really maintain it all the time. He was veryyyyy helpful and knowledge!! He gave me a few options of the filters, the best ones and the ones that he wouldn't recommend for my fish.He also gave me pointers on how to keep my axolotl cold. (They can only be in cold water) bought the filter (oase filtosmart thermo 200) he recommended and Ryan actually showed us how it works and how to set it up. $500 later, we had the whole set up. Even though it was pricy, I rather pay for the good quality things cuz who wants to keep wasting money on cheap/ meh quality. We tried setting it up when we got home and for some reason the water wasn't going through the tubes. I called pet depot and George offered to FaceTime us to see where we were wrong and walk us through the steps. 15 minutes later the filter worked and my axolotl couldn't be any happier! I truly want to thank all these people for their TRUE Customer service. I honestly haven't been this blown away with this kind of customer service in a really looong time. They went FAR and BEYOND just for us. They gave us their honest opinion and went that extra mile face timing us!! I still can't believe it! Thank youuu soooooo much for alllll the help!! I had a beautiful experience at the pet depot out in ewa beach. I bought some cute little guppies , cat fish, some rainbow fish for my 5 gallon aquarium. The staff there are really knowledgeable and friendly very family oriented. Da cute guy with the hat and glasses was very knowledgeable and helped me out with all the fish I think his name was chris. Now that I started rehabbing doves, I was looking for certain items to treat birds, and this is one of a few stores that have certain meds and items for birds. Located on the right side of the row of stores at Ewa Beach Shopping Center, this store can be missed. Although a little pricier than online, and they do not have certain items that feed stores have, they come a close second, especially since feed stores are so far in waianae or waimanalo. I LOVE every bit of my experience with this place and their team! I became a fish owner unexpectedly. Didn't have a clue where to start. Just a fish in a bowl! Brook was so amazing. She created an entire fish tank for me. Asked my budget and asked questions of what I envisioned, and overnight put together a perfect set up for my new fish fam. When I arrived to pick it up- Evan gave me a full tutorial on how to take care of my new tank and fish, was super patient with me. I wish I would've gotten the name of the person (who I think may be the owner or manager) but his level of knowledge, care and genuine interest in making my tank exactly what I wanted felt so nice. Amazing, genuine service is hard to come by these days, especially in a service industry where gratuity isn't tied to it, this team, this place, is now my only place to go for my pet needs! Fish keeper employees were laughing about how it's best to fight bettas in the toilet so you can easily flush the loser. I won't be back. Been here several times since I started fish keeping. Some employees are nice and knowledgeable, some aren't either. Overall the good slightly outweighed the bad until I learned about their complete disregard for fish. read more

How else can we put it, this place is the best!. My kiddo and I are always here for our dogs food and treats. The prices are pretty reasonable and not over the top. The best part is the service, we always see aunty corrina and she makes my sons day every time!. He gets to check out the cool fish, the cute puppies and bunnies, he held some snails and was able to take some home as pets. Aunty corrina is always so sweet to us and very helpful! When we had to take care of a few chicks I had no idea what I was doing but corrina helped me all the way until I found them a more permanent home. Not only did they have a great fish selection, including a bunch of axolotls, it was the helpful and patient staff that made this such an amazing experience for our family. Small little pet store in the heart of Ewa. We love coming here for their self service dog wash. They provide a large tub, soap and conditioner, towels, blow dryer, and grooming tools. This little shop is way into the back of Ewa beach. Not the most convenient but for the variety and the prices I'd say it's definitely worth it. No other pet store near Nanakuli had puppy whelping collars-except this little shop. So it was definitely worth traveling the distance. It's just a small local pet store, nothing fancy. But it's quiet, clean, and so cute there was a little bulldog walking around the store greeting customers and keeping the workers company. They have a nice set up in the front that looks like a doggy deli for dried chewing treats and a few living terrariums for Jackson chameleons etc. The staff were friendly and was very happy with their variety. We came for our puppy's 1st harness since they carried the one we wanted which the big chain stores didn't. The customer service was amazing! Went to the Pet Depot today, which is located in Ewa Beach next to McDonalds. Lots of parking right outside of their store. As you walk in you are greeted by the cashier. We went there today to get our bunnies nails trimmed. The Aunties there were so sweet & took great care of our bunny. My children got a bunny for Christmas & I had a lot of questions about it. They both were able to answer all my questions I had concerning our bunny. Thank you for everything! They even taught me how to cut the bunnies nails at home, but I'm a little too scared so we will be taking a trip within the next month or so to the Pet Depot again. They have lots of different toys, food, bedding, etc for all types of pets. They even have a cool back room with different types of fishes. We were shopping for goldfish for our newly completed pond. After very disappointing visits to the PETCO locations in Kapolei and Ewa we stopped by the Pet Depot in the Ewa shopping center. This place is out of the way for me, but upon hearing about their large selection of pet supplies and variety of aquatic life, I had to check it out and it turned out great! The staff is soo friendly and helpful. The place was clean and they definitely did have a huge selection of pet supplies. Their fish room looked like it was under renovation with a lot of empty tanks which means huge potential for rare fish! I will return for the new selection when it's ready. I love their call list feature where if they're sold out of an item or fish or in my case a snail (lol) they can call you when they get them in stock, no other pet store I've been to has this option so kudos. read more
