I've been looking around for some cold treats for the dogs and was pleasantly surprised not only did they have some they had options. Well I ended up buying 4 of the 6 options. Yeah our dogs are #spoiled! Plenty of sales and options here. They have some Halloween costumes for the furbabies. They also have training and grooming services available. There are fish for sales. You can also adopt an adorable cat or kitten for $100!!! You get an option to donate to good animal related cause when you are checking out. Remember if you are considering adding a pet to your family remember they will be a part of your family and must be treated accordingly. Terrible customer service! I asked the front lady that was working the register today 9/9/25 @6:25pm for assistance and all she did was stared at me and nodded. I asked if someone can help me by the live fish and no one ever came. I waited and waited and eventually I stopped waiting. It was about 15 minutes of me standing there with my child. We ended up leaving the store due to no help. This store needs to do better! read more

Stopped by to purchase more food for my fur baby. Unfortunately I have not been able to get auto ship delivery because it is only available for continental US. Popping in here is dangerous because I always see things other than the food to purchase. If you get PetSmart's app they have a Treat Trail tab where you can play easy games to get extra discounts. I usually play the game to get an extra 25% off. This really helps when purchasing food or expensive items. Who doesn't like a good discount? I saw these Smart Tags that could be engraved so your dog doesn't need two things. Unfortunately, I already have an Air Tag, but would consider for next time. Like coming to this location and PetSmart because the employees are always friendly and helpful. read more

I took my 77lbs Golden Retriever with a nail-trim phobia, and they were very understanding and gave him lots of reassurance. Ultimately, he was able to get his nails trimmed. I'm so grateful for the help. read more

They have just about everything pet related which is wonderful. What lacks is customer service! There was one cashier. Six other team members on the floor. 11 customers in line. It took the one cashier 7 minutes to call for assistance as the line grew. read more

Aloha to my local PetSmart! I am normally into going to the other competitor since they opened first. Most businesses now have drive up or delivery via a ride share company. I had an issue once but the management team seems to be good at handling customer service that means they see that the pet/pet-owners are the boss. I come here for the huge selection for pet food! Not to mention, they have deals on pet beds and toys often. Active pets are happy pets, so get them toys/bones (I do not suggest rawhide) for my dogs will seldom bite other things if they are toys around. PetSmart's brand of food called Authority are super good for healthy dog coats and digestion. Dogs benefit from probiotics, too! I wanted to give the team a shout out for really going beyond my expectations since I walked in on a Saturday (seems to be busy for their grooming services). To find the grooming services, it located in the back of the store. Once you check in, they will take your dog with their own leash to hook on your pet's collar. The woman who helped me informed me that it was busy but since I only had a small dog who needed a nail trim and buff she offered to let me stand by after the appts checked in. So please schedule ahead if you're not in a waiting mood. They call the pet owner by phone or over the intercom to inform your pet is ready for service/done with service. The employees were very friendly and they make sure you fill out a waiver form which basically discusses your pets vaccinations and so on. In a matter of minutes Luna girl was all done and she had the best nail and buff then I would do. I usually do myself but since she is a puppy I wanted to seek a professional. Appointments are cancelled, grooming techs show up late or don't answer the door, had to wait 30 minutes running the bell, picked up pup and trim was crooked, or once I picked up pup and he was still wet...service has gotten HORRIBLE!! We came here to see if there was anything we needed for our dogs. Hubby picked up some treats for our dogs. They had a lot on sale including treats and clothing for dogs. Too cute! The inside was neat and organized. So much to choose from. There were stuff for cats too. My daughter and I even saw fishes, and birds. Pretty cool. The store is pretty huge and there's plenty of parking in front. Employees were nice and helpful if you had an questions about your dog. In the back, they offer grooming and training. read more

I called to see if they could trim my cat's nails this morning. When I arrived, they said they normally don't do cats on Saturday and thought I was bringing in a dog. they agreed anyway to do the cat, but I just needed to wait about 20 minutes and they would perform the nail clipping on my kitten. The employee came out and was very friendly, but she lost control when she put this leash on my cat. My cat fell to the floor where the employee was trying to regain control, but all I could hear was screaming like it was on fire! I couldn't see behind the counter, but the employee eventually asked me to bring the carrier behind the counter, and we managed to put my kitten inside. I felt bad for the employee as she got cut deep by my kitten and was bleeding from her hand. They told me that they would not trim my kitten's nails. That is understandable, but now I have a traumatized kitten who will now fear the carrier and vets! This is why I brought her to a professional place that did this work. My PO ( schnauzer 3yrs old) a covid dog. Meaning he to was isolated to just me in my house and our fairly big back yard no socialization. With this said he groomer Ms Ashley back home at our vet Oklahoma Vet spent so much time just giving him attention and he was always excited to see her. Which always warmed my heart. So when Taylor T. Sat down on the floor with him to meet and great. I knew it was going to be a great experience. The after report said it all. I wish I took a before and after photo to post. Went to 3 pet stores Sunday to shop for an aquarium. Petsmart impressed us with the in-stock selection and prices. Staff was super attentive and helpful. Everything we needed was there. The staff helped load the stand and tank in my car. The 36 gal stand, tank, and light was a kit for $199. The stand was fully assembled in the box too! We went back after setting up the tank and bought fish and plants. Really happy with the entire process and LOVE my new tank. read more

Customer service was awesome! First time for my dog to be professionally bathed and brushed. I usually bathe her and end up with a back ache. So I decided to treat myself. They were so kind to her. I have a 4 month old very large puppy. He had never been to a groomer before and does not care for having his nails clipped. Lucas was his groomer and walked me through everything that was involved in the package I purchased. I was beyond happy with the results on my dog. He wasn't stressed and looked so good when I picked him up. His nails were clipped and rounded down so no more scratching when he paws. I will definitely be back to this location and ask for Lucas. I had a bath/blow appointment here a few months ago for my standard poodle, his appointment was at 11am, for some reason, his appointment ran 5 hours long.. I did not receive a phone call. When i finally called the store, they said he was ready. Once picking him up and leaving the store, he was extremely fatigued and dehydrated, i inspected his coat and found that he still had dirt/grass in his fur, his ears were still dirty, anal glands were not expressed and nails were not buffed, all things that i paid for. Today, I thought id give them one more shot, safe to say i will never visit the groomers here again. I ran 9 minutes late due to a road closure, and waited 6 minutes for staff to acknowledge, I received very cold treatment from the grooming staff and was told i'd have to reschedule, in turn, I did not feel comfortable leaving my dog and ultimately made an appointment with the Petco at Kapolei. read more

Hmmm...I have waited quite some time to write a review for this particular PetSmart. Now, pre-disclosure, ALL PetSmarts will always be better than Petco or local puppy-mill-selling shops. I was elated when the Ka Makana Ali'i location opened. When Mililani first opened, I would drive from Ewa (nevermind there being a Petco in Ewa) just to shop at a PetSmart. Then there's the location off Nimitz. Scary area. Anyway, back to the KMA location. Some back story: I have worked for PetSmart in the past and know how the stores are supposed to operate. First of all, the layout is a bit different and makes it difficult to follow the company rule that if there are more than 3 customers waiting to check out, a member of the pet care, grooming, or training team comes up to the front to open another register. How can any location set up this way accomplish this when the grooming and training areas are in the very back of the store??? I even watched a manager talk story with a friend of one of the employees while there were 6 of us waiting to check out with only one register open. You guessed it - that means that 2 employees were not doing their job when they should have been. The store is always clean, as are most PetSmarts. The animals seem to be well taken cared of. The cat adoption center is probably the best feature - they let the cats roam freely in between kennels and they even have their own play room. They do keep with tradition of greeting you as you walk in. Plenty of parking at KMA. If you know me, you know the 3 stars are for customer service, or lack thereof. But that being said, I will always shop at PetSmart. read more

This PetSmart property is absolutely top-notch. Conveniently located, this store has an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. They really could not have been nicer! They had a great stock of all supplies and food - even just a few days before Christmas. We also really liked their selection of all-natural shampoos! Their clearance racks were well-stocked and quite fair - we normally pass these by in other PetSmarts, but we couldn't help but take a look at their deals here. Finally, we capped things off with a picture with Santa! Obviously just a holiday event, but it was free and painless. They even got our dog, Max, to smile! Always came here for pet supplies since they opened up because it's right down the road from my working place. Only brought my fur baby here to get Walk-in services done like getting her the Pawdicure+. Never have had a bad experience so far! Today, I decided to last minute book a grooming appointment for my Pomchi. I initially looked online just to see what the prices were but they had an opening at 12:30pm! I booked it for a Bath and Full Haircut with Tatiana. Walked in to drop off my furbaby and I walked her around to get her used to the area because it's her first grooming session and I wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. I was greeted at the desk by Tatiana and I explained it was my furbaby's first time getting groomed! She went right into what she was doing, she did the hands-on assessment to make sure she was good then she proceeded to examine her and what would be best to do for her first grooming session. Knowing that I know nothing about grooming, Tatiana thoroughly explained step by step what would need to be done. She recommended that she wouldn't need a full haircut, just an outline haircut to keep her shape and to make sure her fur length is even all around. She also recommended to get the Chi package because she noticed my furbaby had a lot of tangled hair and some matted areas throughout her fur. She did say the Chi will help the hair stay detangled but to always brush out her hair to make sure it stays that way. She handled my furbaby well for the assessment! I didn't feel worried leaving her at the groomers, but it was time for the waiting game. I picked her up around 4:30pm, AND I LOVED WHAT SHE DID TO MY FURBABY. She got most of the tangles out and she did salvage what she could for her tail (her tail was the most matted part of her body). She did say she hated getting brushed (pawrents fault, always tried to brush her at home, but she doesn't like it either) but overall, I love how she turned out! Knowing other grooming places, there's always botched up grooming and horror stories, but I'm sooo glad I chose PetSmart! I will be coming back for regular grooming always & booking with Tatiana! Never have I imagined that I would become a fur grandma to guinea pigs! My teens actually wanted a cat or dog but due to our allergies, unfortunately we can't have them. So we adopted not one but 4 guinea pigs! We purchase their accessories mainly from PetSmart due to their low prices. We never really have any complaints but recently we had to buy new water bottles for our fur babies. The first one was a 32 oz All Living Things Small Pet Plastic water bottle which specifically says no drip/leaks. Unfortunately, it didn't meet their statements expectations. So we thought due to its size maybe the pressure is causing it to leak. Tried different ways to try and make it not leak but no success. Off to PetSmart to buy a smaller bottle but turned out with the same results. Luckily, the staff are very accommodating. My teens lost the receipts for our purchases so the staff member at PetSmart was able to look us up in their system! Yay! We were able to replace the items with no hassle!! This location is right next to 24 hour fitness in Ka Makana. It is a nice big space and certainly clean and organized because it is brand new. They are currently open but are having their grand opening March 8 or 9? The worker said they would be giving away free stuff then. The restrooms are located in the back right corner near the dog food. They have lots of stuff. I mean it is well stocked for your pet needs. They had the most selection of decor for your fish tank I have seen in all the pet stores I have recently been in. The workers are all eager to assist though some at the registers are still in the learning stages. It is understandable because they just opened and have to figure it out and find their flow. Now my experience.... Yesterday we came to this location in search of a fish tank. I called the night before first to see if they had it and was told there was only the display available. Mililani's location had it but I was hoping I didnt have to drive down there with 2 cars as the tank we wanted was a 75 gallon tank that came with the stand. In the morning before heading out to Mililani's location, I decided to call this location again. The sales associate told me to call back in 15 minutes for when their manager was available to check. Lol ok. Called back and they said they have a new one in the box. Nice! I knew the girl seemed uncertain when I called the night before. Drove down with our two cars and asked right away about the fish tank. It seemed like they were expecting us. Then tried to walk us to the display and said that was the only one available. I was like wtf? No... I called and asked if you guys had it in the box and they said yes. I was then given the explanation that they come in the box but they take it out and sell it from the display and with no discounts given. I said no and even though they tried to push for it and say they could wrap it it didnt make a difference. They even tried to say they can check when the shipment comes in and not open the box. We wanted a tank now and that was why we called. After looking for other options for a while, another sales person approached us and said that the manager wqs bringing up the tank for us... a brand new one in the box. They are so lucky that they found it. Or they would've lost the revenue for the store. Still glad they actually searched for it. Made things right and we left happy. They assisted us with loading the car and were really friendly. Went back again today and it was good I signed up for their pets program because I had 34 bucks to use. Got two more fish and some decor for the tank. I would go back again for sure. read more

Don't bring your dog to the groomer Herr unless you have no time sensitive plans for the rest of your entire day. I dropped my dog off for his appointment at 2pm, the groomer said it would be 2-3 hours. At 6pm I called to check. They said he wasn't ready yet, but would call when he was done. At 7:30 I got a call asking if I was coming to pick him up, because all the groomers had left for the day. I don't have a big or a hairy dog. I've brought him here for appointments when they first open and it's never more than 2 hours. 5.5 hours this time. And then they call and ask whether I'm coming to get him or not. Never again. Too many groomers on this island to deal with their nonsense. read more

I only go to Tatiana, and I send all my friends with fur babies there to her or her or her staff. Her staff is all very friendly, great groomers & the salon looks really clean. They all treat the animals well, I've never walked in or seen anything that made me uncomfortable. Most of the groomers there do a great job and I highly doubt you will be disappointed by the outcome!!! She makes always makes my boy Kuro look handsome, I've never had a bad experience going here. He's been seeing her since he was a puppy, and he absolutely loves going to the salon, he's never scared or anxious (: usually when there are other dogs there they all look happy & relaxed I used to go to her when she worked in the Mililani Petsmart, even though I lived in Kapolei. If you have a small dog do not take them here for grooming. My fur baby had "rat bites" and they butchered his long tail, making it short and uneven without letting me know. For $91 I expect better service. Don't waste your money and find a better groomer who specializes in small dogs. read more

I took my dog there to be groomed, he never had his nails cut, and never been groomed before. He was, at first, hesitant and reluctant to follow the female groomer inside. We was informed it was going take approximately 15-20mins, so we just browsed around the store for window shopping. Lots of items for pets, from aquariums to dog supplies. After 15 minutes, our dog was ready and looked groomed. He was happy to see us, and was pleased with the groom. By the way, there was a special discount for labradors that day, so we saved a few bucks. I would come again to have my dog serviced and groomed, and buy pet stuffs. read more

I normally don't write reviews but this is the third time I have had a bad experience with their groomers. Not three times in a row but today was the worst experience out of all of them. The first bad experience was picking my husky up after a grooming session. I realized when looking at his paws the groomers cut them too short and had cut into his veins. My husky already has issues with me touching his paws but after that experience he will no longer let me touch his paws without whining. The second bad experience was when I brought my husky to do bath and brush with furminator. Avoiding the nail trim. I was told his appointment should only take up to 4hours and they would informed me they would call as soon as he is done. His appointment was 12:30. The drop off was fine but my complaint is regarding how long he actually took. I waited at home and not only was he not ready until 6:30. I had to call them to ask if he was done. When I called the person and asked, the employee answered "oh yea, sorry he is all ready for pick up." When I picked him up my husky was dehydrated and stressed. My third complaint is for today. I booked a grooming appointment for my Pomeranian for Tuesday at 2:30. Tuesday comes around and I receive a call at 12. The groomer now informs me the person who is suppose to groom has called off and I won't be seen. She asked if I could come in today (Thursday). I am currently moving off island tmr so I was already on a tight schedule but I say "okay, Thursday works. Is same time okay? 2:30?" She says sure. Today comes by and I am running late. I call around 2:17 saying I will late. I am then told by the groomer my appointment is actually 2pm. I ask is there anyway I can come in due to the fact I was rescheduled for someone calling out. She says come in. I arrive there by 2:40 and I ring for check in. Not only was I not seen until 2:55. She had headphones in so she couldn't hear me ring the doorbell and she had the audacity to tell me she was waiting for me at the desk at 2:50. Not only that, I was told I could not be seen today. So sorry for the long review but this is the worst experience here I have ever had. Normally I ask for Dakota when she works but everytime she is not there the worst things happen. I do not recommend this grooming place at all unless you ask specifically for Dakota or the nice tall gentleman. Everyone else here is inexperienced and has the worst customer care. read more

All the things I love about this PetSmart... I love that their mobile website WORKS and I can order items and pick them up quickly. I love that the store is brightly lit and big. I took my (short haired) dogs there to get groomed and I love how their nails were trimmed very well! The employees there follow precautions well (except for grooming dept.-sorry grooming!), and I appreciate that there is a salesperson there that wears a face guard (for COVID protection for everyone). I took my 4 month old kitten into PetSmart Kapolei to have his first bath and we had a great experience. The groomer was very nice and answered all our questions. Drew did great and I believe it had a lot to do with the knowledge of the groomer and her calm and reassuring nature. I'll definitely be bringing Drew back for a Spa treatment from time to time. Today was the third time I've been to this PetSmart. I am so pleased with the friendly service I've gotten there. The first time I went I was helped by Daniel, who gave me such great information and helped me choose the right dogfood for my pets he was so informative and took his time answering my questions, even though I was just there looking for my free bag of dogfood that was on their promo postcard mailer. Today I was helped by Hopper, who also patiently answered my questions, and gave me advice on how to choose the best foods and snacks for my dogs. Mitsuru rang is up after we shopped and was also most pleasant! I am very impressed with service here.
