Kehau is amazing with my Frenchie, Banzai. As a Frenchie mom I'm always worried that my energetic boy will be too much for whoever we're boarding him with. Kehau came out to meet him before boarding him and seeing how she interacted with him right off the bat eased any apprehension I had about leaving him. She made him comfortable very quickly and listening to commands shortly after. A huge plus was that she both picked up from and dropped him off at home when we got back. That made our trip just so much easier. On top of that, he was listening to commands much more than when he left! Oh, and getting pics of him on our trip was the cherry on top. A long overdue update - I've now sent Liko back to Kehau twice for boarding! The first was over a long weekend. At that point, my pup had entered what I'd say was a "rebellious, teenage" phase and was giving me attitude when it came to following commands. I let Kehau know at pick-up and following discussion of his behavior throughout the weekend, I ultimately decided to extend his stay for a refresher of what he learned during his board & train. He returned home a lot more well-behaved; his extended stay really helped to reinforce the commands he had learned before. His second stay was a very last-minute request. I was in a pinch and needed boarding services for Liko for 2 weeks while I moved. Kehau was very accommodating and was able to take him in. As always - she sent photo, video, and text updates of what he was up to and how he was doing. Upon his return home and over the course of this transition she's gone out of her way to check in on the two of us - for that I've been extremely grateful! We were really in a pinch as our normal boarding services at a vet clinic was all filled up and our family trip to the mainland was fast approaching. After doing a Yelp search and getting zero results from other services I received a text from Kehau saying she was available. What a lifesaver! Very professional, efficient and extremely responsive it was a super easy and fun process to work with her and her great kids! From start to finish Kehau provided detailed updates and pictures via text while we were away of our dear Chloe (labradoodle). Our son missed her the most and greatly appreciated the awesome pictures (see below) that Kehau provided. It was super comforting to know that Chloe was being well taken care of and looked after while we were away. The pics showed that she was her normal happy self. There was a small health issue (preexisting) with Chloe that Kehau monitored and tried to remedy as best as she could and even gave tips on how to help Chloe when she gets back home with us. Im very grateful for Kehau's excellent doggie boarding care. She responded back quickly with a quote (Prices were fair and cheaper than the other doggie daycares) and Inital set up appointment was easy. She came to my house to assess my 2 dogs and went over boarding requirments and details (Ex Dogs to free roam durring the day and sleep in kennels at night, bring dog food, collars and leash etc). On 1st day of boarding she came to my house to pick them up and throughout the trip she updated me on how they were doing and even sent nice photos of them. I was able to enjoy our family vacation, knowing that the dogs were in great care. When we came back from the trip Kehau even dropped them off at my house! I completed the 2-week board & train program for my 5 month old mini aussie golden doodle puppy who had the hardest time learning how to crate train and had separation anxiety. It was to the point that I always had to be in sight or he had to be with another person or he'd bark his head off for hours straight. This review is long overdue. We had our puppy board with Kehau for 10 days during Christmas/New Years this year. Our regular sitter, who usually watches him in our home was unavailable. I saw a post Kehau made on the NextDoor app, advertising her boarding & training services and I reached out to her. She responded to my message promptly, answered my questions, provided me pricing info and set up an introductory meeting with us to feel out the disposition of our puppy (he's the sweetest Cavi). I am that dog mom who dotes on and worries about their fur baby. So I was really nervous to have someone other than our regular sitter take care of him. He also had never slept away from home. However, upon meeting Kehau, she immediately made me feel at ease and our puppy took to her immediately. She is well organized and ensures every dog is current and up to date with vaccinations before their stay. She does watch multiple dogs at a time and so for safety reasons, she does kennel them for specific activities (like eating and sleeping or if they will be home alone). Since our puppy is not regularly kenneled, she explained to me how to acclimate him in advance. She stayed in contact with me after the initial meeting to see how his crate training was going and was very patient in answering all my question leading up to his stay. She provided pick up and drop off service, which was extremely helpful for us since we were traveling the same day. During his stay, she sent me regular text updates and photos, which further eased my mind. I could tell he was being well taken care of and loved on. I cannot recommend Kehau enough!! Kehau did the 2 week boarding school training with our Ellie back in April 2022 and has also boarded her while we were on vacation in November 2022. (Ellie just turned one) Boarding school changed Ellie for the better and has made us much happier pet parents going through this cute but crazy puppy stage. Kehau was the best thing that every happened to me and my Lab Belle. I have a good dog who loves everyone, but she doesn't have good manners. She didn't know her place during meals and walking wasn't enjoyable because she pulled so much. I was always on guard because Belle would jump up on people.
