Kristi is truly one of a kind My boyfriend and I came to her desperate for help with our new pup, Kona, who struggled with severe anxiety. He was scared of pretty much everything -- people, new environments, being separated from us -- and we were also dealing with barking, basic obedience, and some unwanted behaviors. After just 4 sessions, the transformation has been unbelievable. Today was our final session, and I honestly wish I had a video of how Kona used to be so people could truly understand how far he's come. At the beginning, he wouldn't even go up to Kristi and was extremely hesitant and fearful whenever she took the leash. Now? He confidently walks up to her on his own terms -- calm, trusting, and self-assured. That alone speaks volumes. Kristi didn't just train Kona -- she guided us on how to train him the right way. She's patient, knowledgeable, supportive, and truly cares about both the dog and the owners. She sets you up for success, but it's important to note that the progress comes from continuing the work at home too -- and her guidance made that possible for us. She came to our home to meet Gigi, and soon after, Gigi was off to Kaneohe for training. It was hard being without her, and we wondered if anything would really change. Then came the daily photos--Gigi playing with other dogs, calmly sitting on her cot, and responding beautifully to Kristi's commands. It was amazing to see. When Gigi came home, we were hopeful but unsure. She greeted us with joyful zoomies, then quickly settled down and listened. We couldn't believe it--she was a completely different dog! Kehau first met with us to get to know Luca and understand his personality and needs, which we really appreciated. She handled both pick up and drop off, which was especially helpful since we were going on vacation. Throughout the entire process, she communicated with us consistently and sent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. Luca is basically a family member, so feeling comfortable and trusting the person caring for him meant everything to us. Luca has definitely shown improvement since the training and while we're still working on things at home, we can already see the difference. We looked into other trainers before deciding and I'm so glad we chose Kehau :) She came highly recommended by a close friend, and now I completely understand why. They came over to my home, fed the cats and gave them attention, while also checking my mail and sweeping the floor. I am so grateful for their services. I had to call them last minute because my friend's roof on her house flew off and she couldn't watch my cats. Joann and Steve came to the rescue and assured me that the cats would be fine. They were nice, had regular training and were bonded to cover expenses if anything bad happened. But the people who walked my dogs were constantly changing over and at one point they couldn't cover for my visit although they had said they could and also charged me a lot more than they originally said because they decided to institute holiday rates. That's when I looked for a more stable group of people and Aloha Pro was recommended. They are a couple who used to run a restaurant and then have been in this business for many years. OMGoodness if my dogs didn't immediately fall in love with husband Frank! I could tell when I came home that he had walked them that day because they were extra excited when they greeted me at the door. Seems they would tell me stories about Uncle Frank walking them, and sadly I didn't understand, but their excitement was definitely noticeable. And when I'd go on a trip before Aloha Pro, they used to stop eating for a few days until they had to eat, but when Uncle Frank watched them, no such problem. And when I returned from a trip they were excited to see me but not as crazy as before and again they were happy to tell me that Uncle Frank took good care of them. My dog didn't see him for a year and when he came for the key she squealed and jumped up and down like he was Bruno Mars. He is magical with dogs!
