Prior, Spot was unable to be leashed and walked due to reactivity to other dogs, aggression, and more strength than I could handle. When we first adopted Zeus from the Fur Angel Foundation he was extremely nervous, anxious, and timid. He didn't respond to his name, a whistle, or even treats. Taking him on a walk even on our quiet street at night was completely out of the question. He would just pancake on the ground and refuse to go anywhere. We met Brandon for a consultation and after really listening to what we were hoping to accomplish he reccomended 4 weeks of board and train. After 2 weeks of daily communication with pictures and videos being sent to us we met up for a mid point check-in. Zeus' confidence had skyrocketed! After only 2 weeks Brandon had already introduced all of the new skills we we're looking for, and even a couple we didn't think of. Another 2 weeks drug by while we missed our dog but Brandon kept us in the know with photos and videos of Zeus' adventures. He was having adventures! They went hiking, to the beach, and even ran errands to the hardware store. It's now been about a month and a half since Zeus has been home and we're as happy as can be. I decided to make a last minute trip and was scrabbling to figure out who might be able to care for my dog for the week I'd be gone. I knew I could just hire a dog walker, but I also knew my dog (like all dogs!) could benefit from some training while I was gone. I am so glad I left her in Brandon's skilled hands!!! I can't thank Brandon and the Mokupuni team enough for taking such good care of our 7-month-old pup, Bruce. We had Bruce attend a 2-week boarding and training, and what Brandon accomplished in that time, we had trouble doing in the 3 and half months we had Bruce. We were so surprised at how obedient Bruce was when he returned home. Prior to the start of training, we met with Brandon and shared the things that we wanted to work on. Typical pup behavior, such as counter-surfing, jumping onto people, manners when meeting other dogs, patience when entering and exiting, and a big one for us, leash pulling during walks. I can't tell you how many leash training videos we watched on YouTube, but no longer do our arms feel jelly after our walks now. Granted, Bruce still has his moments, but the difference now is completely night and day. In addition to our list, Brandon was able to teach Bruce, the "place" command, and we can't say enough how much of a godsend this command has been. During the 2 weeks, we received daily updates on Bruce's progress and training. We also received amazingly cute pictures and videos of their adventures. Receiving those updates, pictures, and videos became the highlight of our days during those 2 weeks. At the end of the training, Brandon took the time to go through all of the training that Bruce had learned and showed us how to continue to build upon that foundation. We have a 10-year old son. He's pretty cool and generally listens to us. We have to hassle him about brushing his teeth, and usual kid stuff. We also have a 2-year old cavalier King Charles, which thanks to Brandon's training, puts our 10-year old human to shame. The dog brushes his own teeth, cleans his dog bed sheets once a week, and actually picks his own poop up with a little bag. It's nothing short of Jesus trained our dog. My 1 year old, hyper, reactive, anxious aussiedoodle Buzz came to Brandon at Mokupuni Paws for two weeks of board and train. After explaining Buzz's triggers to Brandon, he was confident Buzz would greatly benefit from full immersion training (and we were too). I was off island for the two weeks of training and it gave me such peace of mind to know that Buzz was in good hands. We were sent videos and photos everyday of his progress, and received updates of their daily adventures.
