She trains our dog for an hour every week and trust me, that includes a ton of training for us as owners too, and it's really opened our eyes and minds to how much we have an impact on training our sweet girl. We adopted her about two months ago from a shelter and she came to us with her sweet personality but she was a stray and needs to learn to not pull in her leash and to work on some lunging issues. I hundred (100%) recommend Paula. She is so kind, patient and helpful. I had problems with my new 9 week old dachshund puppy. She was driving me crazy barking due to separation anxiety and crying/howling at all hours of the day and night. I was tired, my eyes were red, and I felt like I had another newborn. I even at one moment of frustration, thought of returning her. I sounded desperate so Paula offered to come asap. She is so empathetic, sweet, passionate and thorough. She actively listened to me and gave me referrals and advice! And actually "BEST" advice! She told me to continually praise "calm and quiet" and it worked like a light switch. If my dog goes crazy, use a leash and put her in the bathroom on a "time out". She's wonderful at her job in that she fixed such a major problem within the first session. Paula does charge a bit, $100 per session, but it's seriously one of the best $100 I've ever spent my money on. She will tell you the truth and is explicit on her instructions. She's so professional and competent in what she does. Later, I texted her follow up videos and she answers promptly with advice, not asking or charging me any fees! . Do it! Hire her as she is so warm, kind, and honestly a great person and friend! Both myself and my dog absolutely love Paula! I'm quite sad as though she is too good at her job, she fixed my issues and I may at one point, may no longer need her services. I have two very reactive and high energy dogs. I was hesitant to work with someone because they're both so reactive and I wasn't sure how receptive they'd be with someone new. Paula handled them both so well on the first meet, that I was confident working with her would be a success. We adopted a 3 1/2 year old Scottie/mixed breed dog from the Human Society about 6 months ago. He was loving and pretty obedient with my husband and me at home, but a total embarrassment when we tried to take him for a walk.
