I took my 4 month old kitten into PetSmart Kapolei to have his first bath and we had a great experience. The groomer was very nice and answered all our questions. Drew did great and I believe it had a lot to do with the knowledge of the groomer and her calm and reassuring nature. I'll definitely be bringing Drew back for a Spa treatment from time to time. While waiting for his grooming to be finished I wandered around the store and found great prices on many other pet supplies. All around a great place to bring your fur baby for any needs. read more

PetSmart - Drew's first bath ;-) - Pet Stores Near Me - KAPOLEI, Hawaii

I normally don't write reviews but this is the third time I have had a bad experience with their groomers. Not three times in a row but today was the worst experience out of all of them. The first bad experience was picking my husky up after a grooming session. I realized when looking at his paws the groomers cut them too short and had cut into his veins. My husky already has issues with me touching his paws but after that experience he will no longer let me touch his paws without whining. The second bad experience was when I brought my husky to do bath and brush with furminator. Avoiding the nail trim. I was told his appointment should only take up to 4hours and they would informed me they would call as soon as he is done. His appointment was 12:30. The drop off was fine but my complaint is regarding how long he actually took. I waited at home and not only was he not ready until 6:30. I had to call them to ask if he was done. When I called the person and asked, the employee answered "oh yea, sorry he is all ready for pick up." When I picked him up my husky was dehydrated and stressed. My third complaint is for today. I booked a grooming appointment for my Pomeranian for Tuesday at 2:30. Tuesday comes around and I receive a call at 12. The groomer now informs me the person who is suppose to groom has called off and I won't be seen. She asked if I could come in today (Thursday). I am currently moving off island tmr so I was already on a tight schedule but I say "okay, Thursday works. Is same time okay? 2:30?" She says sure. Today comes by and I am running late. I call around 2:17 saying I will late. I am then told by the groomer my appointment is actually 2pm. I ask is there anyway I can come in due to the fact I was rescheduled for someone calling out. She says come in. I arrive there by 2:40 and I ring for check in. Not only was I not seen until 2:55. She had headphones in so she couldn't hear me ring the doorbell and she had the audacity to tell me she was waiting for me at the desk at 2:50. Not only that, I was told I could not be seen today. So sorry for the long review but this is the worst experience here I have ever had. Normally I ask for Dakota when she works but everytime she is not there the worst things happen. I do not recommend this grooming place at all unless you ask specifically for Dakota or the nice tall gentleman. Everyone else here is inexperienced and has the worst customer care. read more

Today was the third time I've been to this PetSmart. I am so pleased with the friendly service I've gotten there. The first time I went I was helped by Daniel, who gave me such great information and helped me choose the right dogfood for my pets he was so informative and took his time answering my questions, even though I was just there looking for my free bag of dogfood that was on their promo postcard mailer. Today I was helped by Hopper, who also patiently answered my questions, and gave me advice on how to choose the best foods and snacks for my dogs. Mitsuru rang is up after we shopped and was also most pleasant! I am very impressed with service here. I will definitely be going back and making this my primary location for my pets supplies. read more

Thank you Sara for an awesome experience and service you did on Presley and Bella. This was the first time we used PetSmart for grooming our two little furry humans and were a little worried however that all went away the minute we walked into the store. We were greeted very pleasantly and directed to the grooming section. Everyone in the store was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable. Sara was very patient and also took the time to make both of our fur babies calm down from being so nervous. In addition she made sure to find out as much about them before she took them in the back for their spa treatment. Thank you again for being so professional and caring. read more

Amazing service! Nice variety of foods, accessories, treats etc. I went to their soft core opening because I received a flyer with coupons in the mail. I was able to receive a free bag of premium cat food. Its grain free! Totally worth it, will be coming back. read more

Great customer service! I called and was able to get an appointment for my dog to get her nails clipped and filed. The results were better than I expected and for the same price (and better results) as what the veterinarian's techs usually do for her. When it's time to clip again I'll absolutely return to Pet Smart. read more

I always like coming here they have everything I need for my 4 legged daughter an people here are really nice an helpful

I was greeted quite warmly upon entry so it seems they are on top of their customer service. It looked similar to Petco but smaller. I liked how organized, tidy, and clean the store was. It was pretty easy to navigate around the store. I enjoyed seeing the cats up for adoption although they were not happy to see me and proceeded to hide when I said "hi!" to them. LOL read more

Two clerks working at the register. About three customers in front of me. When I get to the register boy on #1 station goes in room, girl on register #2 looks at me waiting, walks by, then also goes in the room just leaving me standing there. No word, nothing. I was surprised by this unprofessional act because of the few times I've been there that has never happened. read more

Friendly staff, the setup in the store is nice and everything I need they have, Plus their area where they have the kittens are really neat. Overall, nice place to get your pet supplies. read more

I just brought my small dogs in for nail grooming and teeth brushing. I loved the fact that it's considered walk in servicing, so no appointment was necessary and it's just as well since you can't schedule for either on the web anyway. It was fast for nails and brushing. The dogs weren't scared or hurt and the nails were short and smooth, so they won't snag on carpet or furniture. read more

Thank you Emily!! The staff here is so friendly and really do a terrific job. I went to the groomers here for my dog Phoebe, she has never gone to the groomers before and she's a stay at home in door doggie. So me being a fur mama I was a bit apprehensive leaving her there. But right from the start they were very helpful. They made both Phoebe and I experience amazing. We left happy and satisfied, my fur baby was clean and pampered head to toe and I left not having to worry about the hassle of grooming her myself. Tips: * For bathing and certain grooming services it is by appointment only. You can call or book online *Grooming might take a while even with an appointment, depending on the amount of dogs being serviced. So go run some errands while you wait. * They provide you with a service sheet of what they did and the condition of your pet's skin, teeth, nails, etc. depending on the service you got. So ask for any recommendation they may have for you pet read more

The employees are ALWAYS POSITIVE AND FRIENDLY. I was able to start my very first aquarium with the help and advice of the manager. We have gone from 3 starter fish to 7 small fish. Lost a few lives but I upped the size of my tank and now I own 10 happy little fish! They will exchange your fish if it dies and will exchange merchandise up to 90 days. Very grateful for their support on my starter tank. read more

do not bring your dog here. my dog was 14 with arthritis and figured I'd pamper him a bit since his nails needed to be filed. instead of calling me and letting me know there was complications and he was in pain they proceeded to continue with whatever they were doing to him for 3 hours, he could not even walk by the time I picked him up and i had to carry him out of the store to my car, it has been over 4-5 hours since I picked him up and he still is unable to walk and now I have to make a vet appointment to see if he is going to need to be put down. what really pisses me off about this is the fact that instead of doing the right thing and calling me when there was a complication they continued to go through with the grooming, practically torturing my dog to the point to where it injured his legs to the point to where i dont know if they will recover or if I will have to put him down. they did not tell me any of this even when I arrived to picked him up. they waited until after they gave me the bill and I paid to tell me that he didn't handle it well, it took everything in me to not lose it on the spot. if i end up having to put by dog down due to this companys negligence best believe I will do everything I can to align lawyers to come after this company legally because this is unacceptable read more

petsmart sold me a bunch of bottom feeders infected with ich and killed my expensive goldfish

This visit was awesome. They follow CDC guidelines. The young gentleman helping me in the aquatic area was very patient and helpful ~ I only wish I got his name. I chose email receipt so I cannot acknowledge by name as he apparently was my cashier as well. I donated to the pet shelter as prompt and he made sure that I had selected the right amount to my surprise I was shock it wasn't much but he made sure I wanted that amount. No other store question donating amount. I hope the store manager and cooperate office acknowledge this awesome person . Being I just left they should know who was on duty at this time. Young man keep up the Good Work! read more

Took my kitten to be groomed for the first time here with Capri. She was very nice and professional and walked us through the service our kitty was going to have. Our kitten was ready in less than 30 minutes and smelled GREAT! Thanks Capri! read more

Cierra is hands down the BEST groomer on this island for large breed dogs! I have two big boys (Bernese mountain dog & golden retriever), and she is so incredibly patient and kind with them. She is always on time, shows genuine concern to them and their needs, and knows how to handle the unique obstacle of double-coated large breeds. I will follow her wherever she decides to groom next, and I encourage others to give her an opportunity as well (you won't regret it)! read more

Terrific pet store. Can't say enough about their great customer service and pet services. Use to shop at Petco for my Cavalier King Charles pet food until they quit carrying his brand. Found huge selection at Petsmart In Kapolei. So happy with the my shopping experience I decided to make an appointment for grooming. Made the appointment on-line, which was super easy and convenient. Angela was awesome, asked lots of questions to get to know my dog before his spa treatment. He came out looking fabulous. I recommended the grooming service to a friend for her Cocker Spaniel and she reported back that she was thrilled with her pets results and the staffs professionalism. read more

This location have so many options for fishes vs some other pet store that I've been too. Also staffs are very kind and friendly.

This is my go-to spot for all of my dogs needs! They carry a wide range of dog food, toys, accessories, and more. The worker named Mitsuru is always a pleasure and gives the greatest customer service. He greets every customer that walks in the door and maintains such a positive attitude! read more

I just discontinued my 6 week training course with Jill Sander. During the first session, Jill slapped me on the shoulder when I didn't say the right command to my dog. I texted her to let her know that I was very uncomfortable with that and asked her not to touch me again. The following week, she touched my shoulder again during the session. She has also made several inappropriate and shaming comments to me about my training attempts during the course. She recommended that my dog be put on a gentle leader as well. For our third session today, I was forced to put my dog in a gentle leader despite telling her I didn't want to use it. Following the class, she said she is requiring that he wears it against my wishes even though the enrollment contract does not state that gentle leaders will be required. I terminated the class today and received a refund. I highly do not recommend taking a training session with Jill. read more

Thank you Tatiana for giving my Coco an amazing spa day! It was her first time at the grooming service, so I wasn't too sure how it was going to go.. and they even give you a "Pawgress" report to show how your pet did. Excellent customer service for an amazing price. Highly recommend! Coco and I will be back soon read more

This PetSmart sucks. Understaffed and the staff that they do have are completely uneducated and seem to have gone through no training. Every time I've gone in there, they never know the answer to my questions. I called about a week ago to ask if they have dog strollers. The guy on the phone was super nice and said they have 3 left in stock of the one I wanted. I go there a couple days later.. and there only one and it's being used as a display. No one asked us how we were doing or if we needed help. I had to walk to the registers to find help. I asked the girl if there was more strollers in the back bc I had just called and he said there was 3. (I doubt two strollers were bought in a couple days) The girl quickly answered with a "no I don't think so." She didn't bother to walk in the back and try to look. So I asked her to please check. Instead of checking she went on the headset and asked another worker if they have more. She said no we don't. So I asked if the one on display was discounted since there's no box and it was clearly used and the wheels were all dirty. She said "um no there's nothing wrong with it..it was just on display in the front." Yeah no. When a store sells you the display it is always discounted bc it's out of the box and was slightly used and touched. So we had to pay full price ($100) for a stroller with dirty wheels that never came with a box and was pretty dusty and had dings in the handle cushion. This PetSmart sucks. I understand they need the money bc business is slow so that's why they charged full price. But clientele is more important and doing things to make your customers happy is what's gonna keep them coming back. A simple 10% of would have been fine. read more

This place and the STAFF are top notch!! This petsmart is clean and spacious too; I highly recommend this location. The manager here is so kind, and goes out of his way to accommodate and make customers happy. We have been going to Capri for grooming for a little over a year now, and we ADORE her. She is so sweet to humans and pups, and does a GREAT job grooming; you will not be disappointed by her work and how she cares for your dog!! My pup gets anxious for grooming, but always seems at ease with Capri, and the cut always turns out terrific too. Great atmosphere, great selection of food and toys, and best of all...caring and knowledgeable staff! read more
