Found some items then stood in line to get the gift cards. While the cashier was ringing me up she stopped and asked, Is that rain? Sure enough. No parking stalls right outside their door. Hurriedly dashed to my car with my 5 items for Grandpup. Picking up Lunch and bank will have to wait til tomorrow. Cloudburst!!! At least accomplished 2 of the 4 errands today. Dr. Black was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and gave Scrappy excellent care. We originally came in thinking he might just need some grooming for his ears, but it turned out to be an ear infection. Thankfully, they had a 5 o'clock appointment available. The vet clinic closes at 7 PM and takes their last appointment at 6 PM, so I'm grateful walk-ins are an option. Marissa at the Hawaii Pet Vet counter was very friendly, and I really appreciated Dallas's energy as well. The entire staff at the Medical Center was fantastic. The PetSmart manager was also so kind, and the team made us feel very welcome. This PetSmart will definitely be my go-to, not only because they have a grooming option but also because they have an on-site veterinary clinic. I loved that someone checked in on us during our visit to make sure we were comfortable, and a young lady even gave Scrappy a sweet welcome pet that made him feel loved. That kind of thoughtfulness means a lot. I also noticed they have great clearance deals on tough toys, which is perfect since Scrappy is definitely a chewer and destroyer, lol. Overall, this was an amazing first visit. I'm so grateful for the warm, friendly community I've found here in Hawaii, and I want to thank the entire PetSmart team for such a great experience. read more

My 6 mos border collie Harley just completed and graduated from puppy training at Mililani's Petsmart. I love the classes, and especially love Gail who teaches the class, and I enjoy spending one-on-one with Harley (since we have three other needy dogs at home!). The puppy training class runs for 6 weeks, once a week. I chose Saturday at 12:30 due to my work schedule. I also love the convenience of items at the store, such as training treats, harness, belt buckle harness, and toys and treats to chew on to keep Harley out of mischief (digging into trash, chewing slippers, pulling laundry out of laundry bin to chew on, etc - Don't get me started!). As part of a training package, I signed up for the puppy/beginner class, to be followed by the intermediate class, which starts on March 22 at 2:30 p.m., which is perfect timing since I can jog/walk the other dogs when I return home after class, and it forces me to take my mind off of work! read more

This review is exclusively for the GROOMING services only. I hesitated to leave my first review, but I felt that perhaps the manager ,or the public, would benefit from the feedback. Maybe I'll share my experience with corporate. From the moment I arrived, I did not feel welcomed. The groomer who I shall reference as "flower" did not smile or even say hello. I initiated communication regarding my appointment and details. There was absolutely no warmth, no greeting, not even eye contact, NOTHING but a strict transactional stare into her computer with irritation in the tone of her voice when she acknowledged my appointment. I had to request for clarification of my services since nothing was communicated back to me regarding what the groomer was intending to do. It would seem reasonable, or friendly at the very least, to communicate and confirm the services of the appointment? Upon completion of the service and retrieving my family member, I entered the service room and, yet again, the groomer didn't even bother to acknowledge my presence with a simple and courteous customer service focused greeting given a smile would have been asking of too much from this individual. With just a transactional stare into her computer, she asked "did you pay?" Perhaps making an effort to make your customers feel welcomed, acknowledged, and most importantly, appreciated, would strengthen your relationships and forgive any of your shortcomings. As we locals say "everyone knows everybody." I definitely hesitate to return to this location and will most definitely be staying away from the strong stench of this wilting flower. Hills Science Diet has a range of food that actually is a prescription pet food and Petsmart is one of the few that carry the c/d kibble AND canned soft versions. My shihtzu has a liver/kidney shunt that causes small stones that fill the bladder and prevent prunes and protein from being broken down and disbursed. The Hills Science Diet has kept my little guy alive by using that food (prescription c/d) for urinary solutions alive. Many Dalmatians have similar issues and require similar solutions. I AM ELATED TO BE WRITING THE FOLLOWING: now a HUGE percentage of us are dog owners. And, the dog "LOVERS", usually shop for items other than just dog food. (Natsu means summer in Japanese, as she was born the first day of summer). WHY did it have to be a Shohei Ohtani jersey? Because at my age (let's just say I'm "very well seasoned"), I've never watched a MLB game in it's entirety (IN MY ENTIRE LIFE) till the World Series of last year. I find this player to be truly amazing in what he's accomplished so far. (And I know there's MORE to come). So I bought a Shohei Ohtani T-shirt a few months ago, a DOUBLE World Series Shohei Ohtani bobblehead doll which arrived last month, and to finish my "collection", a Shohei Ohtani jersey for Natsu. We try to manage our two-year-old long-haired dachshund's hair on our own but she was long overdue for a solid haircut, specifically targeting her undercoat fur. Making an appointment online was easy and since this was her first professional grooming, I splurged a bit with the selections. The entire service took around 3 hours and cost around $100. Our service provider was very kind, though 10 minutes late to the appointment, and took great care of our baby. Docking one star because I was told that I'd receive a text to pick her up when she was done but I did not. The staff was aware their communication system was finicky but didn't attempt to follow up with another text or call for another 45 minutes. read more

Plenty of parking and the common area outside was well-kept. The interior of the star was brightly lit and appeared clean. There were shopping carts available and product shelves were neat and well-stocked. I can only speak for the dog related items, but I've found that PetSmart's prices are better than Petco's, and PetSmart's rewards program adds even more to the savings. I have not noticed any employees on the floor during my visits, but neither did I need any assistance. I deducted 1 star because my checkout experience has been hit or miss. On my first couple of visits, the cashiers were pleasant but did not engage with me or my puppy beyond scanning the items I was purchasing and collecting payment. This PetSmart has been here in Mililani for awhile and we love it. My parents have a corgi mix dog who is an absolute angel and she loves PetSmart too. She is a regular visitor to their salon to get a pawdicure which includes an ear cleaning, nail trim and grind, feet trimming and pad shaving, teeth brushing and breath freshener and a cologne spritz completed with a bow or bandana. The groomers are great with the dogs and provide excellent customer service. We love watching her get groomed at the spa. She always has the biggest smile :) The store has a great variety of pets (fish, guinea pigs, turtles etc) almost every pet item you can think of and of course lots of toys and treats to choose from. This PetSmart location is amazing for many reasons, such as bring located near Town center - convenient. This PetSmart is open pretty late, so if you need food badly you can drive here and pick up food quickly. There are 2 cat adoption centers in the store, on the left and right side. They also have fish, Guinea pigs, mice (sometimes), crickets, chinchillas, birds, and turtles/tortoises. Most of the animals are healthy, bought a guinea pig from there and she lasted quite a while. Staff is friendly and overall a really well deserved 5 stars. read more

Friendly receptionist name Sharon. She was very pleasant over the phone upon scheduling. Upon arrival check in process was punctual and smooth. Got a good quote at $34.00 for an initial exam, compare to other Vets around the island at $60 plus. My dog had blood in her stool and wanted her to get checked out. I walked out with a couple of medication and a $246.00 bill. The Vet Doctor is young and informative. The Vet Tech is very sweet. I recommend this Clinic for all your pet needs! read more

The store is good and staff friendly. However, do not buy fish from this Petsmart. I have tried twice to buy fish but both times, they died before I got home. I notice that the aquatic salepeople had no knowledge of how to handle aquarium fish and combined different fish from different tanks in one bag which is a big no no. they also did not put enough oxygen into the bags. If I have to buy fish, go to the Petco in Pearl Highlands. the aquatic salepeople are much more knowleagable and handle the fish properly. read more

Be careful when buying tropical fishes from this location. More specifically, the fancy guppies. I bought about 10 fancy guppies and threw them in my 2 ponds at home with other guppies that I have raised for years now and were thriving. When i added the guppies from Petsmart, within days, most of my existing guppies all died. At first, i did not think it was the Petsmart guppies but this happened to me twice already. I bought fancy guppies from Petsmart Mililani last year and it also killed my other guppies within days of mixing them. Call me stupid for giving them a benefit of a doubt and buying more guppies from them but i will never ever buy any guppies from this store again after these experiences. I chose Petsmart grooming and specifically Ms. Gia from Yelp reviews. She is fantastic! I saw her name and Shih Tzu in the same sentence and booked an appointment. I tried my best to groom on my own, but I knew I was out of my league. I got refused by Petco Pearl City for my baby's nails being too long. I took her to Dr Gulliver (Go see him! Gentle, pet lover, and extremely reasonable! Waimalu Shopping Plaza across from Safeway) and they trimmed nails and cleaned her butt. I got my baby to Ms Gia. She is so gentle, very engaged and caring of your dog! She asked many questions and made me feel at ease since my baby is a special needs dog. When I came after the phone call, I couldn't believe my eyes! Where's my dog? And look at this beautiful baby! A cut above what I'd ever had before! Thank you, Ms. Gia! She was abandoned in a public restroom and we don't know what she went through before we found her. For that reason, we always request the express service. Honey is typically anxious around anyone other than our family and doesn't like any other dogs except her brother. She loves cats though. ***Update***They responded to my negative reviews here and directly to corporate by offering me a refund. I wasn't going to bother going in for the refund because it wouldn't change my negative opinion, but the last time I was there returning some things I bought at the Kapolei store, I got the refund. ‍*** Don't waste your time or money unless you really don't care about a job well done or getting lied to. This is our second time visiting their grooming salon and I only went because it is a Sunday and we had just returned from vacation, so I needed help trimming and grinding my dogs nails. The last time was for a "puppy trim" which resulted in rash/irritation, a Brazilian instead of a "sanitary trim" and a urinary tract infection requiring 2 weeks of antibiotics and daily antiseptic wipes/topical medication. I dont know why I thought a nail trim/grind and ear cleaning would go any better. Maybe because it's simple. The best part was that they trimmed her foot pad hair, and that the associate (clearly not a groomer) was pleasant even when they tried to downsell me when I asked about a Pawdicure package, then lied about cleaning her ears when I came to pick my puppy up. I questioned him about the waxy, dirty ears and he proceeded to tell me "we wiped them out with cotton balls" and then launched into a spiel about continued monitoring for smelly or puslike discharge that might signal an infection and the need to seek veterinary care. I was a vet tech/assistant for two years. I try to clean my dogs ears twice a week or any time they get wet/bathed, and I keep the hair under the flap trimmed/thinner as much as possible to help prevent ear infections. I think I can tell if my dog has had her ears cleaned or not. They even told my she didn't need a nail trim. I explained that it was mainly her front paws but that I wanted them all ground. I said they were starting to curl and split and that I wanted them trimmed and smoothed to push back the quick. I'm not sure why that's so difficult to understand, but I paid for a Pawdicure package and got a nail grind and one dewclaw missed completely. Someone tell me what their training or screening process is? I took my pet here to get a service and I didn't receive it, aside from a nylon bandana they advertises their shotty services. Maybe keep the bandana and do a thorough job, and then maybe your employees can have a little pride and integrity in a job well done. read more

Most of my visits for grooming services was pleasant. You can either make an account and schedule an appointment online or call. It was annoying at first to make an account and blah blah blah. Dates I picked wasn't available so it was difficult to see what slots were open. I just waited until the next day to call for the next opening. Ironically when I called, the original dates I had chosen were open, irraz. Make sure your fur baby is vaccinated and your putting flea drop medicine on consistently. They'll ask again when dropping off your animal for the appointment. I've been coming here for years because of the location convenience. They groom my shih-Tzu pretty well. She's a stubborn little girl who absolutely hates it when I try to trim the hair around her eyes and mustache. Don't touch the stache she says! Somehow, I don't know how they do it, but she comes out looking so fresh and so clean clean! Although I invested in the whole buzz set for her, I'm not able to cut her as well, so I'll leave it to the professionals. For a small shih-tzu, the price I'm charged is crazy ridiculous.. I hope it doesn't go up anymore.. This was the first time she has walked out with a pretty pet smart bandana. She never got not one since I have started coming here, years ago. For the most part it is usually easy to find parking, but during dinner time it can be difficult because you're competing with Zippys customers. This PetSmart has great staff members who love animals and who are always helpful. I come to pick up toys, dog food, treats and to get my dogs nails trimmed. This service is a walk in service.
