Made an appointment for my small dog to get groomed. Dropped her off. She's not happy; very nervous. Come back 2 hours later and am told her groomer is on break and there is no way of knowing where she is in the process (I guess walking 10 steps to the door of the back room to check is too much to ask). Two more hours go by, still no call so I just go. I arrive and she is still being worked on. She was stress panting at this point. When I got her home she drank an entire bowl of water. Additionally, the Hair on her head and back was shaved unevenly leaving me to have to touch it up. Bad form groomers at PM Henderson. read more

My in-laws live in Henderson. We visit them a couple of times a year. Before we leave back to Los Angeles, we like to have our dogs washed so the kids don't get all sneezy on the ride home. We usually go to this PetSmart before we leave possibly once or twice a year. This Thanksgiving, 2014, we called to get the dogs washed, but they had no record of us. What? They suggested we had been to a different PetSmart. No, we were sure. I looked up the last receipt on Quicken. So, they looked up the dogs via the Simi Valley Zip Code in Southern California. But wait, they claimed our vaccinations at that store were out of date. Really? Simi Valley PetSmart didn't complain last time we visited them. Curious. Eventually, it become obvious this PetSmart didn't want our business. I almost felt like they were waiting for me to beg to get the dogs washed. So I simply explained my disappointment, said thank you, and hung up. I immediately called 4 other groomers locally in Henderson (all closer than PetSmart to my in-laws). ALL were more than happy to take the dogs for a wash, no other questions. My complaint, I was a customer of this and other PetSmart. Why road block me? I own a Lhasa Apso and Maltese. read more

Friendly staff and I can shop with my pet. Doggie pet sitting lounge and fairly close to home

I would like to take the time to say "Thank You!" to the entire staff at this Pets Hotel off Lake Mead. During the past few years, I have been a loyal customer to Petsmart throughout the Vegas valley. However, the individuals at this hotel have gone above and beyond when dealing with my fur babies. Their ability to show love and affection have truly made this hotel my ONLY choice for doggie daycare. read more

Definitely over priced but they do do good things in the community. I always see their clothes, leashes, collars, beds and toys either given away or only $1 at animal rescue events. read more

I have a 55lb black lab puppy... Super high energy and ready to play! I was told about doggy day camp here at Petsmart. I have taken my lab here twice already and after her first visit she was pooped the next day and exhausted from all her play and she wasn't even there for the full day. The second time not so much she was back at her high energy levels in no time. The staff here is great and very friendly. Stella went with them easy the second time, I'm assuming she was more comfortable. I took off a couple stars for some things. The rooms for these dogs to play in are small. Unfortunately, there is no playing outside or in a big outdoor yard where they really can get the energy out. The rooms might be 20x30 if that, could be smaller... They also allow the dogs to do their business in the room on the floor. After my labs first visit she ended up peeing on my carpet in my room and she may have thought it was okay to do that now? I do prefer and indoor outdoor setting for play time and doing business outdoors especially for a young lab. Prices are good but I am not sure if this is the best place for our dog to be able to get the full play time we want for her. read more

I have been taking my dog Layla here for three months! They have been great, she saw Marie! This time Marie was unavailable and later that day something didn't seem right. We're about a week later and my poor baby won't stop scratching and I'm finding little black specs on her! I will delete this if I'm wrong but I think my sweet girl got dog lice here! Be aware of that for your fur baby! I don't take mine to dog parks or around other animals, I'm very careful and I wish I knew this was a thing prior to her last visit!!! I'm sure they didn't know at the time but some sort of notification after her appointment would have been appreciated read more

I have a 6 month old Saint Bernard who attends camp a few times a month and she absolutely loves camp, the staff and her camp friends. Have to go middle of the road on rating for social distancing this store. Yes at the check out it is enforced but the center aisles are tight and people stop to chat, too close together, with dogs in tow. It makes it hard to even divert to another aisle to avoid contamination/contact. Otherwise, this is our preferred store! read more

The management and staff at the Day Camp and the Doggie Hotel are amazing. They always have the health and safety of my Labrador as their main concern. The staff is amazing and friendly and always has time to discuss any concerns I or anyone else has. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Day Camp or boarding. read more

This was the first time we've boarded our dog with PetSmart. I will ONLY go to this location from now on! It is run very well and the manager is really accommodating. We boarded our dog for eight days; the true test was the fact that our dog was not stressed or sick when we picked him up. The day camp is worth the extra money and there is always proper supervision. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION ABOVE ALL OTHERS! read more

I don't like to complain but when I left I told my boyfriend we are never going back. I paid $30 for an awful experience! read more

Pet Hotel: We had to board our two very large German Shepherds for three months due to construction after a house fire. The staff at the Lake Mead location PetSmart Pet Hotel is FABULOUS! It was quite hard being apart from our boys for three months however they were so loved and well taken care of. Manager Marci, Brandon, Emily and the entire staff really got to know our boys and their unique personalities and quirks. They always made sure that they were comfortable and together when they wanted to be or separated when they needed their space (like siblings). When we visited, they were most accommodating and they had no problem administering special food or meds. They always communicated with us when more food was needed or if they noticed something out of the ordinary with our boys. They were flexible in scheduling when we needed to extend their stay and after visiting, our two boys were never hesitant or apprehensive to return to the staff which let us know that they were happy and even tail wagging when we would leave and they'd be taken back to their suite. Should we ever need to board our dogs again, we would certainly return knowing that they are in good hands with the PetSmart Hotel staff at this location!!! They truly love their "clients" and it shows!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took my dog to get groomed on Monday. We have been going there for years and have never had a problem. It took my husband almost 30 minutes to drop our golden retriever off. The groomer was not understanding what we wanted done... Which was the same thing we always get done- furminator and a feather trim. Finally, 5 hours later they called for us to pick her up. When she came out from the back I was horrified... He shaved my dogs whole body!!!! My golden retriever who is double coated (you are not suppose to shave double coated dogs) now looks like a giant shaved rat! They were suppose to only shave her belly as per the grooming notes. I am so devastated as to the fact that her hair grows back in patches (we learned this by not having a choice to shave a part of her side for surgery last year). I had to ask they they take the furminator off and still paid $93 for them ruin my dogs coat and they still wanted to charge me for it because they still did it. Found out they have a great look guarantee later that night so I went back yesterday to speak with a store manager. Did not even get an apology that this happened to my dog and I had to ask for my money back, was not even offered the money back from her. I was planning on staying with Petsmart because it is convenient to our house and just make sure we never used that groomer again, but how I was treated by the store manager... Never again!! I wish I could post a picture to show everyone the horrific shave job on my dog! We live in Las Vegas where we have a lot of sunshine so now I can only let my dog out for a little bit at a time and can no longer take her out on our walks until her hair starts to grow back to avoid getting sun burned. Please stay away from their grooming salon!!! read more

PetSmart - The horrible job done on my golden retriever!!! Thanks for ruining my dogs coat pet smart!! Stay away!!! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

I come here looking to buy specific things, half the time I walk out empty handed. If I need help finding something I get to play a game of hide and go seek to find an employee. Or if I do find someone I get told more often than not: we don't carry that! (That should be their unofficial corporate motto!) But no review of PetSmart would be complete without mentioning their BanField clinic in the back. Avoid the clinic unless you like a SEVERE NASTY ATTITUDE coupled with absolutely CLUELESS help. Having grown up on a dairy farm in SW Missouri I'm no veterinarian but I do know a few things about animal health and products that work. So the last thing I need is some punk telling me yeah we carry that but you can't use it for what you're trying to do. Yeah, shut your mouth, point me to what I want to buy, and just accept that I was being nice by telling you what I was going to do with the stuff. If I wanted you to "preach to me" about anything I'll meet you in church and you better have a bible in your hands. Again my experience seems to turn into something best described as SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATING almost every time I go back there to pick up something and have to ask because it's not intelligently put out on the shelves.... I've also had issues with the quality of their dog toys. Anything that says "Kong" on the label can be demolished by my mother in law's Tea Cup Yorkie in about 3 1/2 minutes. And I do mean ANYTHING. $70 worth of toys tried, all of them got trashed. And we won't even touch on other product quality issues found here, and to top it all off they are pricey. Sometimes you're in a hurry so speed / convenience trumps price, and when it does I get suckered into coming back to this store. And as I said I usually kick myself going out the door for being stupid and not driving somewhere else. The only reason they get the 2nd Star is once in a while they have stuff I need, and my 2 year old likes looking at the fish, the birds, and the kitty cats. read more

Overnight stay for our dog - PetSmart on Lake Mead Pkwy in Henderson came through. I have to frequent PetSmart on a monthly basis. This store differs from others in the valley as the staff based on my experiences is much more professional and friendly. The store is always clean and little accidents from pet's brought in are cleaned up swiftly. Don't forget to get a PetSmart card. Sometimes there are deals on those items you use most. Please make a small donation at the end of your sales transaction to assist with animals in need of adoption. read more

Why is it so hard to get customer service these days? I literally had to use my cell phone to call a cashier so that someone would help me with a purchase. Is no wonder so many customers are going the way of e-commerce and forgoing the battle of just trying to purchase an item from a brick and mortar store. When I wad finally helped by the young lady all I received was attitude and begrudgingly half assed service. And when I went to speak with the manager apparently I was not impetus t enough to speak to do I was heard out by another sales associate. These companies expect to keep customers with average prices but the service you receive now honestly in willing to pay more or the same to just shop online if this is how im going to be treated just for trying to purchase In store. Please do not shop here or at the pet smart on Stephanie they are both terrible! read more

I love this location and so does my dog. The moment we enter the parking lot he starts howling. He can't wait to get there. My dog, Bentley, is a little monster but they don't mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my most precious baby!!! PetSmart is lucky to have such a compassionate and caring staff. Thank you Marcie, Jason, Steven, Brittany, Brandon, Sharon, Jamie, Brandon, Emily, Alex, Brielle, Tanner, Rachael, Mason, Omar, Katie (welcome back!) and rest of the staff whose names slip my mind. Very disappointed. Was charged an extra $11 which was not disclosed previously because my dog has had a few seizures. Never during grooming or at doggie day camp tho. Was told it would take a minimum of one hour. 35 min later they call and say he's ready? Really? A full bath with nail trim, etc and terth cleaning and only 35 min? The paper I received even said an hour for the bath and a half hour for the teeth brushing. He didn't smell nice when I picked him up and spent almost $50 for my little 8pound chihuahua. I asked if they brushed his teeth and she yes but that all they typically do is put toothpaste in their mouth and then licking it, is what brushes their teeth. Ummm I don't think so. I will never come back to the grooming center again. I should have disputed the charge for the teeth brushing read more

There is always an associate to ask and they are friendlier there than their competitor. And they work with our animal rescue in allowing us to bring our adoptables to their location each weekend. I am really shocked at the reviews I read! Maybe it was because they were some time ago!? I've never had a problem with this location or the Banfield inside. They carry the food I like and when there was a voluntary recall they had no problem with my bringing all the food back to exchange for another brand. Shauna has been our puppy trainer for 3 classes so far and will be for our last class. She is friendly, works with all the pups equally, and will help give you tips if you need them. I adopted my first pet here, a two year old shih tzu and the dog itself is amazing! However the service of the adoption center was disappointing. They made it such a hassle to adopt, and first lady who helped did not no much information and did not provided us any answers to our questions, the second lady however ( wish I got her name so I could refer you guys) well she was wonderful! very friendly and knew what she was talking about. The Place was okay PetSmart was very helpful in helping us find our new adopted pet's necessities. As a fur mommy and dog lover, I beg you not to take your dog to be groomed there. My baby's experience was beyond awful

We brought my best friends beautiful healthy service dog to the petsmart hotel on lake mead. So he could play with friends, be pampered and run around being a happy boy while she was recovering. We dropped him off on Friday morning. He went in 100% healthy, was updated on all his shots, we packed his bag with enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner of his food so he would eat. When she picked him up on Monday morning, he could barely walk, he was soaking wet and smelled like urine. His bag still had 7 bags of food left in it. Yet the staff acted like they had no idea what was wrong and he was wet cause they had just hosed him down. They were cold and heartless and demanded their 180$ payment even though we were paying for services that he hadn't even received. They never bathed him like they said they would he clearly hadn't been fed. My best friend was anxious to get him home and let him rest, but when he couldn't even walk and he was having seizures on the living room floor. They rushed him to a vet to have him looked at. They hadn't even had him home for half an hr before they had 3 different vets looking at him. The final diagnosis was SEVERE kennel cough, malnutrition, and dehydration. Her beautiful service dog had to be put down because his respiratory system had shut down. The vet told us he had to have been laying in his own feces and urine for several days to be this sick and for his body to start shutting down. He wasnt even 2 years old. He helped her with everything, through her seizures, he reminded her to take her meds. He was there for her when no one was around and he cheered her up and helped her through her severe PTSD. He was an amazing service dog who was so intune with her and knew her better then she knew herself. Petsmart KILLED the one thing that was as important to her as her kids. Her service animal that gave her the quality of life she deserved. So if you value your pets life and they are like family to you. Dont ever take them to petsmart. They will neglect your fur baby and not give a second thought to it. We dont want his death to be in vain and if this post can help anyone make the decision to NEVER TRUST PETSMART then that's a life saved with his. NOTHING petsmart can do will ever make up for the atrocious act they committed. Who knows how many other dogs had to be put down because they were infected as well. Shame on you petsmart for DESTROYING a family by taking the life of their service animal so heartlessly. read more
