I booked a grooming two weeks ago for today with Tasha K and when I got in, it just change to Alyss R. I didn't ask why and I thought Tasha might be on break. After the grooming, we spend some time to get to the store which I found out that Tasha was there. She told me that my dog will bite the cage when he's waiting for to be dry out. She told me that they need to work on multiple dogs at the same time and let them wait to be dry. I just don't understand that's the way they do groom? Let dogs wait to be dry? What if they catch a cold? Shouldn't they be dried after washing right away? When we pick him up, I found my dog is not that dry and I have to let her take my dog to dry again. They said a husky need a three hour, but they called me only two hours. I don't know if they do it really fast and didn't really take care of my dog. I feel really disappointed about this store. read more

Both on the phone and when dropping my puppy dog off to be groomed, I explained that he is a large breed (85 pounds) and have never been groomed. They said no worries. I brought him in only to be called 29 minutes later to come get him. I had to go in the back to bring him out of the kennel that he was cowered in, then yelled at when I went to put his harness on instead of bringing him out by the lead that they had on him. They provided no explanation on what happened to my baby to make him cower and just stated that he would need to be groomed by me or a mobile groomer and could not come back. They were incredibly disrespectful of me, my daughter and my dog and provided no information on what happened. Do not recommend for any large breed dogs - the only dogs that seemed to be getting attention were small ones which is fine but just tell me on the phone that you can't handle a large breed. I drove 35 minutes to bring him there. read more

This is a great PetSmart. I've been here about 7 or 8 times. They're usually very nice and don't give you the signature PetSmart employee "look" as if you're buying something that isn't good for your pet. I've had 50 million opinions from PetSmart employees in the past contradicting themselves on what dog food to buy and what dog food makes me a horrible owner.. Anyways, I came in with an online coupon today for $10 off any purchase. After I gave the dude my phone number for my membership card, and he scanned the coupon, it came up that I already used it... Which I didn't. He didn't ask questions and immediately took off the 10 bucks. Great customer service! Did not give 5 stars cuz without a coupon, PetSmart is usually more expensive than others for my needs.. read more

We have been using PetSmart since Max was a puppy! We were totally satisfied until Monday, when we took him in after waiting 2 weeks for an appointment!! We arrived on time only to wait on a nice man without an appointment to pay extra for an "express" appointment that essentially kicked us out of line. Our Max is getting older and they wanted to charge us more to turn our appointment into an "express" so that he wouldn't be stressed!!!! Now we were stressed $$$! They also said he was "matted".... no! We took Max to another groomer and they did an excellent job without the up-selling and hassle, with no up-charges for either matting or his age. Now we have a new groomer for Max and we're happy. We don't need "PetDumb" any more. read more

So dissatisfied with the grooming Osita received today!!!!I told them not to cut her tail and just trim her face! Well... They cut two inches from her tail and her face... I have to let it grow out to even fix it!!! AND she has a bald spot on her upper chest!Poor baby! I called the place where I got her groomed and they just told me they would note not to cut her tail again. That's it! She's still cute but no selfies for a couple weeks!! read more

My experience trying to buy just a goldfish yesterday had me so upset. I called the manager. First time ever for doing such a thing I explained the bowl I had the woman was rude and boil down to telling me in front of a friend she couldn't sell me anything. At home I've had 150 gallon fish aquarium. This was for my fish ball at work. It was the tone and she was rude. Go to the other one on Stephanie or go to Petco. read more

Be careful with their crickets.. We purchased our chameleon here in February and he was healthy. Last week I bought the chameleon crickets from the same store and within the next couple days he got extremely ill and then ended up dying. There was no change to the diet or anything. The girl on the phone said they don't usually have problems with their crickets and since the chameleon was purchased quite some time ago they couldn't do anything. I bought 50 crickets and they were dead within 2 days also. Just sad. read more

Just adopted Ziggy (his name was Marilyn on the adoption papers but no way am I calling him that) from PetSmart. I had seen him each time I went in to get supplies for my other bunny, Bun Bun. He looked so lonely, and one of the employees told me it was difficult to adopt albinos because people were freaked out by the eyes. I finally decided that Bun Bun needed a friend and brought him home. They're still getting to know each other but I think they'll definitely be friends! Thank you PetSmart for helping find homes for bunnies! This one is a delight! read more

Best location quick check out. Everyone is friendly. Love seeing the dogs playing in the hotel. Grooming salon always looks busy.

Today I came into this location with my dog to get a bag of dog food for him, I am standing in line where a random lady started saying keep your filthy dog away from me (he was doing literally absolutely nothing but sitting by my side on his leash) while in PETSMART saying I am allergic and your dog is disgusting all while theres other dogs in the store, and in the adoption center. As this Karen is going off on me and accusing me of abusing my dog because he was flinching. First off He is an emotional support animal fully documented and all and he sees me in distress and he cant react to or help me... As I am going through this the cashier does nothing, says nothing, Manager on duty comes out and does nothing and says nothing to stop the situation. I feel on the staff side this was unacceptable and not professional for Petsmart... I have been a manager for 12 years in different companies.. My staff, or myself would never allow a customer to go off on another customer let alone call their dog disgusting and filthy IN A PET STORE with OTHER DOGS... I am going to report this corporate as I am definitely going to amazon now for my dog food.. To the bright pink haired cashier, you should learn how to step in situations and defend someone that you see was doing absolutely nothing. To the manager on duty, the best part is you stood behind a door listening and then came out and did nothing but stop and watch.. Great job PetSmart and the safe environment you bring for pets and pet parents.. We do not feel welcomed or safe in your stores read more

I had my five month old puppy groomed at this store january 2022. That was her second grooming there, and we had a great experience the first time with Billie. I dropped her off at 9 for her appointment, and picked her up around 11:30. The woman who had her suggested I next time use the "express" service, because she gets so stressed out barking/crying in the kennel. I know she does, and I would understand if it came from a place of concern, but seemed more of irritation. And I honestly didn't even know that was an option, I looked after on the website and it doesn't show this on the scheduling as an option. When I picked her up she didn't have the bow in her hair, that is included with the service. But I let it go. Then that evening while laying in bed and petting her she smells so good, but I noticed near her ear didn't smell very well. I looked in her ear and found a cotton ball stuffed in there from grooming. So it had been in there all day. Checked the other side and same thing. Who knows how long they would've been there, or had they have been pushed in to cause damaged had I not noticed. Her ears clearly weren't cleaned, which also should have been part of the service. And I looked at my receipt while trying to figure out how to send an email and noticed that it said her grooming was completed by Cassandra, which was also confusing to me because our appointment was with Billie and the sheet they gave me telling me how the grooming went also showed Billie. I received no e-mail response from PetsMart. Felt very disappointed in PetsMart grooming services after that visit. Fast forward to today, I decided to try them again back in September because the convenience. No issues up until February. She had an appointment scheduled for the express service(which can only be made by phone or in person), the scheduler forgot to make the appt. An express. Therefore it had to be canceled. I took her to the Stephanie location and the groomer was ten minutes late. No big deal. Grooming done. I schedule her again for March at the lake mead location.. the scheduled suggest using an academy student I asked if they are overseen by someone that is trained and she said yes, so I agreed. Appt time rolls around and I get a call from petsmart an hour before the appt stating it has to be canceled because academy students are not allowed to do express services. Shouldn't the scheduled have known this? My schedule was rearranged today for this, and now they state they can't get her in for two days. How does this happen two months in a row? Get it together! And I don't appreciate the employee acting like my time isn't valuable. read more

Based on a recommendation from my neighbor, I scheduled an express appointment for my Goldendoodle a week and a half ago. I specifically asked for Amanda and received confirmation that she would groom my dog on 4/21 at 8:00am. On 4/18 I received a text confirming his appt but the groomer was someone named Krystal. I immediately called to ask the reason for changing groomers. The person I spoke with saw in the notes that I had booked with Amanda but told me that she could not take him as an express appt because she was booked but offer that I could drop him off and she would work him into her schedule. I reluctantly agreed because I really wanted to give them a try since it's only 15 minutes from my home. This morning 4/19 I received a message from Petsmart. I called back and was told that I needed to bring him in at 7am because the groomer Krystal I assume had scheduled an 8am appt. I asked the person to reschedule the other person because my dog had been on schedule with a confirmed appt. She placed me on hold and told me that all they had was a 7am appt. Me....are you kidding me! Why am I being inconvenienced not a good look for a new customer. She offered me $5.00 off the $93 fee. I said never mind I'll my dog somewhere else. Within 3 minutes I received a text that my appt was cancelled. Ok I take my dog all the way to Inspirada Pet Hospital for his grooming and they do a fabulous job. I figured with the ridiculous gas prices I'd give a local establishment my business. Well this is exactly what I get for trying. I'm putting Langston in the car, driving to Inspriada and happily pay $70 to groom my 60 pound boy. read more

This location on Lake Mead is the closest to Boulder City and I'm super glad the employees are always helpful. My dogs have always been a little bit crazy when I take them to any groomer but this time I decided to try Petsmart since it was close by and I could do all their food shopping and I have to say that my dogs loved Sarah she was amazing she understood exactly what I was asking for I have two very different breeds of dogs and both of them have different needs and whatever it was that I needed she knew how to do and she didn't say no. I have to say by far I will never use another groomer other than Sarah she is literally the only one that has ever met my dogs needs and kept them calm no complaints totally worth trying it out. read more

I took my dog in for grooming and they shaved him around his neck causing significant burns. They then placed a bandana around his neck to cover and I did not notice until I got him home and he was licking his neck. When I removed the bandana I was shocked. Accidents happen, however, they chose to not disclose this, and only after I filled out a survey outlining their poor service did they contact me. The grooming manager, Maria, claimed I was made aware of the injuries when I picked my dog up. Unprofessional, lack of integrity, consumer beware. read more

The doggie day camp at the Dog Hotel is the best. My dog, Raider John, goes to camp 3 days a week for sometimes 10 hours a day. There are so many good things about the Pet Hotel from the hours their available to the cleanliness. But the best thing about them is the employees! The are are so good to my dog and he always comes home tired from all the fun he has with his doggie friends. Sometimes they let me bring him before they open so I can get to work for early meetings. Every few weeks there is a day where the dogs get special ice cream treats and pet parents get photos! A special thank you to all the employees for being so good to Raider (and us)! One of the best PetSmarts in town. I usually shop at small local pet stores for my dog goodies. However, since I maintain 2 different fish tanks, I have yet to find a better place than this PetSmart to get your new finned friends. I've been to almost every store that sells live fish in town (chain or local) and this PetSmart have some of the best selections with very knowledgeable aquatic staff. We won't be bringing our dogs back. This is by far the unhappiest and most chaotic PetSmart grooming salon I've ever been to. The employees seemed stressed out, exhausted, and fed up. Hard to blame them, the groomers seemed to be going nonstop and the other customers were being pretty rude and unreasonable when the employees were doing their best to help them. The salon was also the dirtiest I've seen. Honestly the smell clung to my dogs when we left. I'm considering giving them another bath to get the smell of the salon out. Not ideal after I paid for them to get clean. I don't blame the groomers, this type of thing is always a management problem. But all of this means a super stressful atmosphere for dogs who are already not thrilled to be there. And in the end I still had to take one of my dogs home and cut his nails myself. This is the first time in his eight years that a groomer claimed they couldn't get him to cooperate and didn't do his nails. Take your dogs anywhere else. read more

We are here in Las Vegas on business for 2 days. Because we're traveling with our dog, we stayed at the Loews Lake Las Vegas (Loews Loves Pets). Anyhow, we were wondering, what are we supposed to do with our dog for 7 hours, while we're at our appointments. Loews offered to take her for a walk for the "reasonable fee" of $25/hour with a 4 hour minimum. Now, I love my dog. I take her everywhere. She travels in style, and stays in the nicest hotels, but that is ridiculous! So, we looked on Yelp, and found the Petsmart PetsHotel a few miles from where we are staying We called at 7:30 pm the night before, to find out all we had to do was show her medical records, and fill out a few papers. For $18 she played all day long. Because she's medium sized, they put her with both the small dogs and the big dogs. She's not prejudiced. She loves all size dogs. I know she had the best time, because she came home exhausted. We paid an extra $11 for a bath, so in addition to played out, she came home sparkling clean!! read more

We've had our dog for a little over a year. As you can imagine he's been groomed a few times. This is his first time going to Petsmart Grooming Salon and this is the best haircut he's ever had. We've used this location for the last time... When we picked up both our four legged babies, a cat and dog, both of them were a wreck! Let's start with my dog. He's a miniature eski. He's super friendly by nature... He's NEVER had a kennel issue in his 8 years. Yet, when we saw him, his nose was bloody on the top snout. We paid for the doggie suite and play time. He doesn't do that. He's never done this at any other kennel. My cat is a calico. I've raised her since a kitten, she's 14 years old. Her gums were worn raw and she has some kind of orange-red stain on her chin fur. I've heard of pets self hurting themselves if left completely alone for extended periods of time, but we were assured they'd get full attention. Bull. The checkin was great, but the two guys at checkout were less than enthused about our concerns. Done. read more

My dog is pretty low maintenance - we don't need to get him groomed, and since he is no longer vaccinated, we couldn't take him there anyway....(note: our Vet agrees that he does not need shots any longer, I am not abusing him in anyway - he has horrible allergies that were multiplied when he got his shots) That being said, Moose freaking LOVES trips to PetSmart. I have no idea how he knows that we are there, but as soon as we pull in the parking lot he freaks out and gets super excited. It's cute, really. We don't really ever buy anything here, unless he is in desperate need of food and I can't get to the store I usually purchase it at. 2 years in a row I've taken Moose to get his picture taken with Santa before Christmas. This is my favorite part of the store (other than it is close to my house). It is fairly inexpensive and a portion of the proceeds are given to charity. The Santas have not been too believable, but the picture makes for a great Christmas card! I've never had any issues with the service. This isn't a store where there are people combing the aisles to assist people - if you have a question, you may have to ask a cashier. Not a big deal. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful as well. read more

Gabby is THE BEST for grooming, I went somewhere else once and that was a total mistake, she does great with him and he always looks so handsome in her care. It's a PetSmart, so the items for purchase are going to be the same. This location is on my way home from work, so, when I need something, I usually stop by - or sometimes even on my lunch break. I was in a bit of a hurry my last trip through. I entered the store to see 2 male staff chatting at the register (neither helping a customer) and then 2 - 3 other staff chatting by the fish. I needed crickets, so I had to have someone help me. I went to the crickets to make sure they had the size I needed before I bothered someone for assistance. When I verified this, I looked up to see the 2 guys at the register watching me. One of them nodded in my direction, so silly me - I thought that was acknowledgement of my need for assistance and I did not say anything else. I waited. I waited. I double checked for the guy who nodded at me, only to see he had left and the other guy was working the register at this time. I went to find the other staff members who were chatting by the fish. *poof* There was not one staff member available to help me and I KNOW there were at least 5 people working in that store at that time. There was only 1 other customer in the store (I walked through the whole place looking for someone to get me crickets) and he was checking out! So, where was the staff?!? I waited another quick minute, asked the guy at the register if someone could help me, he paged someone - the original chatty Cathy who was with him when I walked in stopped by THE REGISTER again and chatted a few more minutes. I FINALLY had enough, thanked them for NOT serving me and took my business elsewhere. I haven't been back since, as poor customer service skills tend to drive me away, permanently. We'll just deal with driving a little further for better service. It's not like the prices are going to vary much between stores. read more

I have been going to the pet smart on Stephanie in Henderson ,NV since my dog was 8 months and always been treated with respect. The only pet smart that had appointments was the one on lake mead in henderson and I must say i regret going. I had a 3pm appointment for my Pomeranian with a girl name Gabrielle and from the start of walking in I didn't feel at ease. I was greeted by someone else because I was told my groomer was at lunch, once she walked in the lady I was speaking to told her I'll let you take over for your appointment but she had a smirk on her face and Gabrielle looked annoyed so I asked how is your day and she smirked and said ok. She then tells me that she has to print papers so I can do a check in (which I did online) and says she had to do an assessment of his hair. That's fine they I know they have to do that. what upset is that she then says, I see you put him down as a Pomeranian and I have a Pomeranian and he's half his size so I changed his breed to a huskie and there will be an up charge. Are you serious?? I got my dog from the puppy boutique, and he is registered with ACA , I know where both his parents come from and the breed and color of them , and have all the papers to prove it. How rude of you to change my dogs breed and up charge me because he had alot of hair and which all Pomeranians do and he's chunky. My dog is very short and stubby and all his hair makes him look bigger. I talked to the manger who was no help at all, she just looked at me like She couldn't understand me and just saying sorry, sorry and if you don't like the services you can go to another store. I always go to pet smart and NEVER EVER HAVE I ever been treated so rude and have something like this happen. If the girl didn't have experience in cutting Pomeranian hair or just didn't want to, you shouldnt of showed up to work , it's rude and inconsiderate since I rushed over from work to make my appointment time 20 mins early. I will never come to this store again, not even to buy my dogs medicine. Unprofessional & racist.
