    I do need to say this after reading some recent reviews and using this facility as of lately. I don't know if HPR is at fault or not but it's concerning someone's dog died here. My cat Cosmo died here March 2024. I was told he was left for the night and in the morning he was found in the cat tree dead. I was so devastated. We were literally on our way to get him. HPR paid for the necropsy and I was told it could have been heart failure. I've always battled myself wondering what happened to my baby. The most devastating feeling is going on vacation and you're already nervous to leave them then you're told they are gone and they died alone in a strange place. It is devastating. I thought I'd give them another chance and we brought our dog and cat here recently while on vacation. Both times my dog left here very sick. I mean throwing up, diarrhea, you name it. They both were also acting very strange upon arriving at home. I don't know what is going on here. It could be a coincidence. I'm not willing to take that chance with my babies again.

    My doodle and border collie both go to Henderson Pet Resort for daycare. My border collie lodges on occasion and my doodle gets her monthly glow up here. My pups love HPR and each have their favorite people there. My doodle, Whiskey, is in love with her groomer, Diana...I mean full excitement kind of love. Maybe it's because Diana makes her look so darn cute but more likely because Diana makes grooming a great experience for her.

    I have been a customer here for nearly a year. A year ago after two weeks boarding I was informed my dog needed to be shaved due to matting. As a new and inexperienced dog owner I assumed I was negligent in combing and brushing and adjusted our care routing. Months went by without any matting issues. He was boarded three times with other places with no issues including with friends in their home. I decided to give henderson pet resort another try as they are close to home. After 12 days boarded I got a call that my dog was matted and despite brushing every day nothing could be done but shave all his beautiful hair again. Mind you this is only the second time in his life he's had matting this bad and both times we're here. Worse yet nobody mentioned a word about Amy issues until the day of pickup. No mention of suggesting additional grooming or anything at all. I now have to pay a groomer to shave him and start over again for 3+ Months for his hair to grow back. Worst yet I was charged for "brushing" when anyone with eyes can see he's been completely neglected. His hair is so bad it looks like he hasn't been touched. The argument I was given is that he's low to the ground so gets dirty more often. If that's the case do not board your small dog here if they have hair you care about. The only alternative explanation is he was neglected entirely. They don't provide update photos here either. It's disturbing to put your trust into a company to take care of your fur baby and get him back ragged and unkept. Especially after paying over $1,100 for boarding. I'm sad and dissapoimtef and angry at the lack of any accountability or proactive Communication. When you have an on site groomer how hard is it to mention "we're having trouble Maintaining his hair". Just awful

    Edit to business response: SOME of my dog's items were returned the day after boarding ended. The manager did attempt to "make this right for me" by calling me a liar and other names while refusing to look at the invoices forwarded to her. My dog's post vet visit showed that she lost 7 pounds in the time that she was there which is not only concerning for her health but suspicious for how much food was gone from the brand new bag! But that she also got a UTI AND RINGWORM. NOT ONLY DID THEY TRY TO DEFRAUD ME BUT THEY MADE MY DOG VERY ILL. RUN FARRRRRRR! Terrible experience less than one star! Made a reservation 8/31 and was provided and estimate/ invoice for $265 I paid pending the total of the CHAUFFEUR service because they had to check for staffing availability. They confirmed availability before the first day of the reservation and specific instructions for her pick up were provided on 3 occasions. The day of her pick up the lady came and completely ignored the instructions ringing the doorbell and banging on the front door obnoxiously upsetting my dog. They proceeded to call and text me numerous times forcing me to purchase the airline WiFi to figure out the commotion, which was just in fact lack of common sense and comprehension skills. The lady that picked up my dog did not lock the door to the house and we had to have a neighbor come do it for us so the house did not get broken into because of her lack of respect and awareness. The day after her pick up I logged in to my account to check my balance since we had received the chauffeur services and the office requesting that it be paid with the card on file. They told me there was not a way to pay online and only with the card on file. To which I explained twice there was already a card on file and to charge it. Finally, the day of check out I call because my dog was supposed to be dropped off at 6pm and I have not heard from them, I checked my online account and notice I still have a $15 balance but was charged for both chauffeur services so I call and she says she will look and see where my dog is and at 6:23 says they are leaving now l again ask to pay my $15 balance as shown on my invoice. Suddenly she decides I owe $277! Before I hang up the phone a new invoice is emailed to me and of course she cannot delete the card on file to prevent fraudulent charges! This company sold me boarding services under false pretenses of it being one price and then changed it atter the services were provided and they have no desire or integrity to make it right. They cannot be trusted. We would have never gone here if we knew it would cost this much, my dog was not seen once on the cameras in the play yards and there are no cameras in the pets room as shown on their website. They finally dropped off my dog and tried to claim she did not have a leash and collar in the description when it literally has an AirTag attached to it and I can see its location that they are in possession of it. Finally, all my dog's belongings she was sent with are missing. Everything was placed in a Nike duffel bag and her toys, bones, blankets, etc. have all been kept by Henderson Pet Resort. Emily the GM called and tried to call me a liar about the situation saying she could not find any calls for my reservation instead of taking accountability for either a mistake made or being caught trying to steal and lie to customers! Her lack of professionalism is appalling and clear why situations like this happen if she is in charge of hiring, training and firing!

    Skip for main review: This review is for boarding. I have an Alaskan Malamute Koda who is almost 1.5 years old. I was super worried about boarding her and toured 2 places before. The first place I went to I liked but when I did a trial run they said Koda tried to attack another dog the first minute they did group play. So I toured another place that only let the dogs out every third day for 20 minutes and knew there was no way I'd go there. I looked up more places and found Henderson Pet Resort. I was a little hesitant because of pricing but honestly it was so worth it. Now the actually review: When we walked in, super clean front desk area. The front desk girl (I think her name was Danielle or Daniela? Anyways she was quick to greet us and we asked for a tour. They have different size private rooms, we went with standard. A lot of different package options you can add if you want. We did deluxe. They take the dogs out 2-3 times a day, indoor and outdoor play and it's way longer than 20 min. Here's why I'm leaving the review. I was worried about the place that said Koda tried to attack another dog (mostly because she's been to the dog park so many times and get along with every dog so I was confused) but Henderson Pet Resort said they'd assess her behavior. So if you aren't sure how your dog will do, give it a try with their staff. I'd leave 100 stars for this: Koda developed hair loss on tips of her ears from scratching this summer (if your dog isn't exercised enough this can happen). We take her to the dog park on weekends but it's hard during the work week and summer to get her enough play time. We picked her up after 8.5 days and when I got home I noticed her ears had all the hair grow back (that's how I'm sure she got plenty of play time!!! I also got to see her play live (I always emailed asking when Koda would be playing, thank you to everyone who emailed me with the times! She always seemed happy and I saw the staff cleaning the play areas. If the price scares you, I get it. But honestly it's so worth the peace of mind. They are so organized and you'll know your baby is in good hands.

    The staff was extremely unprofessional, and the facility was not well maintained. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my pet here.

    How much is a full day of doggy day care for two dogs and for how long?

    I have a 10 month llaso mix that was badly abused before I adopted her. She is very afraid of strangers. Would you consider grooming her and what would be the cost?

    Do you separate the large dogs from the small dogs during playtime?

    Yes, we group according to size, personality and play style.

    How much does it cost for cat grooming? Do you only do lion cut? He is 7 yrs old

Nevertheless, I had a great experience with Brian and continued to book him. I called yesterday to see if can get a last minute appointment. I recognized it was the lady with the tattoos on the phone. I knew I had an appointment later that day and I asked questions about how long it would take. I asked a few more questions and I told her I would call back to see if I can make it work. When I called back, I wanted to inquire about availability for Monday. Brian answered and I told him I called a few minutes prior to book an appointment with him. I think the lady in the tattoo must have been speaking to him because he put me on hold. When he came back on, he told me that I am booked for 1pm and told me to have a good day. I just figured I could try to make it work but when I thought about it, I had a feeling that I would be cutting it close. I called back the next day to reschedule. I got the lady again and asked to reschedule for a later time that day. She told me 2pm would be the latest. That time wasn't going to work. So I asked for another day. She rudely told me that I would be charged a cancellation fee since I was canceling a hour and half before the appointment. Let's not forget I made the appointment the day before and 2pm is still available so it's safe to say, they didn't weren't booked and busy. I told her I'll pay the cancellation fee. She told me that I would be charged the full amount ($102) on top of the $102 up pay for the Monday appointment. How is that a cancellation fee?!! I went on to their website...can't find the cancellation policy at all. I will not be going back. I'm sorry Brian, you were great and if you ever get your own thing going, let me know. Tattoo girl is doing way too much and she needs to check her attitude.

    We took our puppy to a local groomer for the first time about a month ago, and it took nearly 5…read morehours before we got her back. We had already let them know ahead of time that she's extremely active and that it was her very first grooming appointment. They later told us she wasn't comfortable with the clippers, so they were only able to trim her hair with scissors and said that was the best they could do. After that experience, we decided to reach out to At Your Door Mobile Pet Grooming because we were worried other groomers might turn us away due to how difficult our pup can be. We also felt more comfortable having the groomer right outside our home in case any issues came up during the appointment. From our very first interaction, we shared all of our concerns, and they immediately reassured us by saying, "We will work with her," without any hesitation. Their pricing was a little higher than other groomers, but honestly, the convenience and peace of mind made it completely worth it. MELINDA is AMAZING!!! She did such a fantastic job on our pup's haircut, and her patience was truly unmatched. You can genuinely tell she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. Thank you so much, Melinda! We appreciate everything you did for our Nugget, and we will definitely be booking with you again next time!
