Once again, Melissa saved the day. Had a death in the family last minute and she was able to help. I needed her to watch my boxer and was first time we've left him alone since the death of our other boxer and I was very worried about him. She took great care as usual. She's the best! read more

If I could leave more stars, I would! She is amazing at her job, which probably isn't a "job" because she genuinely enjoys animals! Her communication is top-notch. She sends me multiple daily videos and pictures when she watches my cats. She communicates any special concerns that she has, such as needing an additional water bowl. I don't like leaving town because I love my cats so much, but knowing that they are in such great and loving hands, makes it possible for me to relax and enjoy my vacation. read more

We've been using Melissa as our pet sitter for a couple of years now, and she's the only person we trust with our furry children. Melissa is incredibly responsible--she keeps our house key safe, sends reminders about her visits, and is always responsive. She goes above and beyond by playing with our kitties, taking the most adorable photos and videos (which we melt over every time), and leaving a detailed invoice for her services. This is our second five-star review for Melissa, though, honestly, we wish we could keep her all to ourselves! Her dedication, professionalism, and genuine love for animals make her worth every penny. Knowing she takes her job seriously gives us complete peace of mind whenever we're out of town. Thank you, Melissa, for everything you do. Until next time! If you're looking for a trustworthy, caring, and top-notch pet sitter, look no further--you won't regret it. read more

Melissa's Pet Sitting - Mr. Mittens & Snow Love, Love Melissa! - Dog Walkers Near Me

Melissa is like a Swiss watch with compassion. Nobody better to take care of your pets!

Melissa is one of the most compassionate people, let alone per sitters, you will ever find in the Henderson area. I almost regret posting a positive review, fearing she will be unavailable for our needs. She is one of the most reliable people, let alone pet sitter, I have had the pleasure of working with her. She cared for our Boo during our recent excursion to Europe and informed us that due to her client load, she would not be able to spend as much time daily with our Boo and be reducing her daily rate. Our "Boo" so looks forward to Melissa's daily visits that we refused the discount. read more

I just moved to Henderson a couple months ago and was in need of a professional pet sitter. I go to LA a few times a month and I was uncomfortable leaving my dogs at a pet hotel. Also, Ive asked my friend to watch my pets before and it was just a very disappointing experience. I have a pitbull and a bulldog so I was looking for someone who is very comfortable around these breeds. They are also puppies so I needed someone with patience and a lot of love. I am truly so happy I got off rover and went on yelp cause she is a hidden gem. She follows my house rules very clearly and will love your dogs as if they were her own. She takes very cute pics and is very detailed with what she did at every visit. If she notices anything off she is on it to let me know. If you are need of a pet sitter please stop searching and hire Melissa. She is the best & My dogs love her so much! read more

Melissa has been wonderful and I'm so glad I found her. To start, she set up a meet me and greet with my girl, Moira, and dropped off paperwork. She is licensed and makes sure she gets to know an animal's needs and owner's expectations. I am very picky when it comes to people I trust with my pets. Melissa was very thorough and I felt comfortable with her from the start. She has now been taking care of my girl for about 5 months. She comes weekly and sends me a daily text along with photo. It's a real bonus that she is a talented photographer. Some of my best photos of Moira have come from Melissa. I feel like Melissa always does a great job. I have surveillance set up and Moira is always happy to see Melissa when she arrives. There have been several instances in which I believe Melissa went above and beyond. Not everyone follows leash laws and Melissa makes Moira's safety a priority. She was also very helpful when Moira was trying a new medicine that had unfortunate side effects. She communicated with me and cleaned up Moira's bedding when it was soiled. Not only that, my girl tends to heat up pretty quickly and Melissa stays on top of that, watching her closely, providing adequate and appropriate exercise and care. Melissa's prices are extremely competitive and reasonable. She is also an advocate for animals and is involved in rescue. My experience with Melissa has been wonderful and I'm so glad I can count on her. read more

Melissa was a true answer to my prayers as I am leery of having people with my pets and in my home. She is extremely trustworthy and has a true verified pet sitting business. The reviews others posted were correct and so glad she is now in our lives to help with our pets. Our lab Nadia is very active and needs daily play time and walks. This was my biggest concern when we went out of town. Melissa pretty much race walks and that brought me comfort and peace of mind, plus she played retrieve the ball and sent photos !! Oh and our two kitties had fresh water and a clean box to keep them in comfort !! Forever grateful for Melissa !! read more

I feel lucky to have found Melissa. In our consultation, her services were discussed and agreed upon together leaving no stone unturned. I had my own notes ready, but with Melissa none were needed since our session and her paperwork covered it all and more. The clarity was great. We have a pet cam, so I know from the event alerts that our cat had a great during Melissa's visit. If you don't have one, you'll still get to see your animal having a good time from her updates. She's a great photographer! Much better than a grainy pet cam to say the least. In other words, Melissa is a consummate professional in both the business aspect and the caregiving aspect of pet sitting. She's also an advocate for animal welfare, which meant a lot to me personally. We will be looking to her for our pet sitting needs for as long as we are in Henderson. read more

Melissa is THE BEST! Our 2 Bulldogs love Melissa and the one is not the easiest (very stubborn and gets up to mischief when we go away). Melissa knows exactly how to handle them and they get excited when they see her. Melissa goes above and beyond what is needed. Very professional and on top of everything! I couldn't recommend her highly enough! Don't think twice - book Melissa. We love her and so do our pups. She was referred to us by another very happy client. read more

My pet's aren't the only ones who adore their "Auntie Melissa"....we're pretty fond of her as well. It's nice to know that when we can't be with our babies that someone who actually loves them can be. I can relax knowing they're in good hands. Melissa sends videos and pictures and you can see how much they love when she's there! Messes are cleaned up, everyone is fed, played with and had plenty of belly rubs. I couldn't recommend her more. Wish I could give her 10 stars! read more

Melissa is amazing! Even at short notice she was able to take care my two kitties! Penelope is an eight year old calico who in past would not let anyone she knew to even touch her, she'd hide when guests visited. Not only did she not hide she let Melissa pet her and showed off for her! Coal is an eleven year old black cat that is outgoing, but can be reserved with new people, nope he too had to have his turn at being petted. When I came home after my trip to VA, they were happy, contented, well fed and fresh water and dry food in their bowls. Litter box tidy. It was a joy to know they were well cared for, daily pictures and videos too. Thank you Melissa for making a stressful trip into one where I knew my kitties would be loved as if they were yours! Again thank you! read more

I am blessed to have found Melissa's PetSitting. When we first moved to Henderson, we would go back and forth to California and I relied on boarding my cat Bambi at a local vets. I soon was very discouraged by her reaction to being caged up for days, she didn't eat and was extremely stressed out. Needless to say I began looking for a pet sitter! While driving in my neighbor hood I stopped and asked a lady walking 3 fur babies, hung a U turn and asked her if she knew any pet sitters in our area. She gave me the name of Melissa's pet Sitting, just knew she lived in our area, the rest is history. I looked Melissa's business and have been not only myself a happy camper, but Bambi got a forever friend in Melissa. Guaranteed if you check out Melissa, not only will your pet love her, you will never have to worry about your fur baby when your away. read more

Melissa was truly amazing with providing excellent care for our two elderly cats, both on medication. From the moment Melissa came into our home, we felt comfortable. Her sweet gentle voice and slow moves immediately won over our very fearful of strangers' female cat. We struggle with picky appetites with our cats and the need to give medication. Melissa recommended we try Weruva cat food pouches for mixing in medication. It worked! We had daily updates, and a worry free vacation. Thank you, Melissa read more

I'm so happy we found Melissa. She was highly recommended by our neighbors on the Nextdoor app. Melissa did an initial consult with us before agreeing to pet sit. This ensured that our furbabies could feel her out and vice versa. So glad they got along! Melissa gave us such peace of mind when we went away for a week. She sent us photos and text message updates nightly to put our minds and hearts at rest. When we returned, we instinctively knew our dogs weren't traumatized by the experience. They loved her and we did, too! read more

Melissa is trustworthy, communicative, extremely organized, reliable and most importantly, she loves my dogs as if they were her own. Melissa not only provides updates (adorable pictures included) on my dogs, she keeps me informed of their behaviors and keeps an eye out for anything out of the norm. She gives me peace of mind while I am at work or out of town because she is communicative and very responsive when I do have questions or reach out for anything. I know they are in great hands! I plan my vacations around her availability because there is nothing more important to me than my dogs' safety and well being when I am away from them. She truly makes me feel like I am leaving my dogs with family. I am extremely grateful Melissa and I have crossed paths and my dogs love her beyond measure! read more

Melissa is a great choice if you are looking for a pet sitter. Our family interviewed several companies to try to find the right fit. From the moment you meet Melissa, you can tell that she cares deeply about animals and that she loves dogs. She was great with our two dogs right from the start--one of whom needs special care around children and other dogs. After spending 30 minutes with her, we knew she would be a great dog walker/pet sitter and would be able handle anything that comes up since she cares for so many of her own shelter rescue pups. Melissa is clearly very caring and affectionate, but also confident, competent, and can handle a variety of stressful situations. On her first walk with our dogs she dealt with loose dogs in the neighborhood running up to her (one of our dogs does not respond well to other dogs). She handled the situation perfectly and without incident. When you go out of town, you can be sure that Melissa is taking great care of your pets. On our first trip away from home, she was there feeding and walking the dogs at the times we requested. She sent texts to let us know how our goofy dogs were happy to see her and even sent us photos of the happy dogs on a walk. Hire her and you can be reassured your pets will get great care while you're away. read more

My usual cat sitter retired and referred me to Melissa. Melissa was able to accommodate on a short notice during the holidays. I met her and she was quite enthusiastic about my two cats who seemed to take a liking to her. One of my cat is especially afraid of strangers, but she warmed up to Melissa pretty fast. Melissa cleaned the litter, picked up mail, and fed my cats. She sent some pictures while I was away which was very reassuring. Her rates are reasonable and I would recommend her. read more

I met Melissa through my mother, who has worked alongside her with pet adoptions/rescues, as well as helped her with her own personal dog sitting and care. Having never hired a pet sitter before I was a little nervous. Melissa put me at ease right away when she came over to introduce herself to my crew of three pups. They loved her of course! The "booking" process was quick and easy, and I knew my dogs would be more than fine while we were gone. We've needed her on a few occasions with very little notice, and Melissa was so kind and accommodating. She's wonderful with my mom's very elderly dog who needs medication multiple times a day and extra TLC. While we're gone, Melissa will occasionally text us photos of our pets because she understands how much we miss each other. #nicetouch My family highly recommends her! read more

My previous pet sitter was found through a friend but was no longer available during the day. So I was nervous about finding someone new who could care for a houseful of pets -- 2 dogs, 3 cats, a bird and a salt-water reef tank with fish. My biggest concern was my senior German Shepherd (Gentle Ben) with spinal stenosis that has weakened a hind leg. He can't always wait until morning so he uses pee pads, and sometimes has fecal incontinence. (Too much information?) I found Melissa through Angie's List where she had glowing reviews. She was quick to reply to my email inquiry. After I gave her a lengthy description of my menagerie and the challenges with my German Shepherd's health issues, she assured me that she would be able to care for anything he needed. When Melissa came over for the initial consultation, both my dogs immediately went up to her, wiggling and wagging their tails. (Usually they stand back a few feet with boisterous barking.) Their reception of her was enough to put my mind at ease. She brought papers to be filled out and told me that she was giving me a discount because Ben is a rescued pet. She visited 4 times a day for doggie potty breaks, meals & play time -- early morning, mid-day, dinner-time and late-night. While I was gone, she sent texts with pictures, giving me updates. I had left packets of capsules for each of Ben's meals. When she realized she would be short one packet, she sent a text with a picture of all the supplement bottles so I could easily tell her how much to give him of each one. Luckily, Ben used the pee pads and didn't have any other accidents inside the house! Even my shyest cat let her pet him! She did an amazing job caring for all of my pets, going above and beyond for Ben's needs. Now that I have Melissa for my pets, I can plan longer trips without worrying! read more
