I trust the team completely with his care, which says a lot when you're handing over a member of your family. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about the dogs. They do a great job keeping pet parents informed and will reach out if they notice anything out of the ordinary, even something as minor as an upset stomach. I really appreciate knowing that they're paying attention and that my border collie isn't just another dog in the yard. I also want to give a special shout-out to managers Aurora and Stef. They've always been wonderful, helpful, and incredibly caring with my boy over the years. I personally appreciate the care BarxParx takes with assessments and safety. When you're trusting a facility with your dog, you want to know they're being thoughtful about which dogs are in the daycare environment and making everyone's safety a priority. After six years of daycare, I can confidently say my border collie is treated like family here. He loves BarxParx, and so do I.

She told me that all the staff did was scroll all day on the phones and while watching the webcams noticed that they tried to put her into the water when she didn't want to. For some reason, I was thinking she had gone to the other location but she must have gone to the Henderson one. So because of the great reviews and the way that it looks on the website, I thought that this would be a good location since it's more convenient than my dogs previous daycare since we just moved. The first thing that struck me as odd was this is the only time where I've actually been charged for an evaluation. Every daycare that we've been to, and we've been to about five of them around Las Vegas, gives you either a free day or a free 4 hours. So I was surprised that you have to pay $30 for a 4-Hour evaluation. Because it works both ways. You're evaluating my dog but I'm evaluating you. When I came in, there was just a lobby. I was asked to fill out some paperwork but I wasn't offered a tour or nobody explained anything about services. Honestly I forgot that there was even a pool in there. They said something about putting him in a kennel first to try out for boarding which I thought was a little bit weird. And then go into the play area for the other 2 hours. I did get a text midway through saying that he was keeping to himself but he had passed the temperament test. I thought that was weird because he loves dogs. I went to pick him up about 4 hours later than the first thing I noticed was now that it was 2:00 p.m., the place reeked. Most places have some kind of deodorizer or some type of even overpowering scent so you don't smell that. But it smelled like wet dog and urine. When I picked him up, they didn't say anything about how he had done, again nothing about services, nothing about going forward like nothing that you would expect from a typical daycare after an evaluation. Oftentimes you also get like a little report card in paper given to you. I did think when I picked him up he was a little bit weird like unfocused and strange but I was like OK maybe he played a lot or something and he's just a bit hyped. Again in the car he wasn't really focusing when I was talking to him. When I got him home, he wouldn't let me out of his sight. All he did was whine every time I left a room. Which is really unusual for him to the point that he needed to be crated. That's when I opened my email to look at the report card, which I'll attach a photo, said that he took a quick dive in the pool. I became so upset because he does not swim. He has never been near water, he would avoid any and all bodies of water. His breed does not swim at all. I had noticed that when I picked him up, his leash was wet. Which I thought why the hell would his leash be wet? I'm still confused why it's wet because why would a leash be anywhere near the pool. So I was already upset that they hadn't even asked me about whether he could go in or if he could even swim. And I kind of put two and two together and figure OK he had some kind of really bad experience here that now he's like clinging to me and whining. I also looked at the photos and he's off in a corner somewhere, totally hunched over. This is a dog who loves daycare and loves dogs but he clearly did not like this place. So I sent them back a text and said I don't appreciate that you put my dog in water and he would never do that voluntarily on you so you would have to have led him in. So they gave me this long text about how they would never do XYZ and I just sent them back a screenshot of the report card that said he was in the pool. A couple of things could have happened they just AI generate the report cards with a bunch of fluff or they lied. Either way, he had some kind of traumatizing experience here because he's still clinging to me tonight. This is not normal after daycare behavior for any dog. But now that I'm looking at the reviews I'm seeing similar comments. So here are some actual suggestions. If you just fill your report cards with AI fluff, you did so at your own demise, because any good dog owner would be greatly concerned that during an evaluation you put a dog near water without even talking to the owner about it. This staff clearly does not know about dog behavior, body language, or just common courtesy or sense. Update: 2 weeks later my dog now shakes uncontrollably before going into his old daycare. I don't know wtf they did, but this place needs investigated.

I love that this place keeps them in a suite together so they can stay since they do have a bit of anxiety when they get separated. I love that they also make sure the puppies are vaccinated before boarding and everything is up to date. A lot of places don't tend to check on that stuff but I love that they do here! 10/10 would recommend!

We recently brought our pup Beary to Buddies on a recent trip out to Vegas and I gotta say, we were…read moreso happy with our decision to board him there! Originally, we had a reservation back home with our normal pet resort, but didn't want to be away from Beary for so long; We often have to drop him off a day before our trip and don't pick him up again until the day after we get back, so that's an extra two days without the little guy (and two extra days of boarding to boot). So we looked into the possibility of boarding him close to our hotel while we were in town. A family member sent us a recommendation to go to Buddies and my wife reached out to ask about vacancy for the weekend and the owners got back to us right away to let us know they would be able to take him in and walked her through the process of submitting all the necessary documentation and clearing him to stay. Our little guy is not fixed yet, so unfortunately, he was unable to be group boarded (which is typcial). Check-in was a breeze, and He had a nice large play area to have all to himself and was boarded in a private suite. They also took him out for a walk twice a day while he was there, as well as playtime with the staff constantly. What was really awesome was that they would send us pics of him during his walks, playtime, and before bedtime. It was really awesome to get the periodic updates...which really put us (especially the kids) at ease. And it was really reassuring to know he was close by to us. Staff was super nice and friendly. The consistent updates really made an enormous difference for us. Our usual resort does not do that...so that put them way above. They seemed to genuinely enjoy Beary's company. We would DEFINITELY bring him back here again on future trips (and that is more often than not) and I wish they were located close to home...or that we lived in Vegas so we could bring him more often...wishful thinking =p

We started using Toni's Pet Sitters a couple of years ago when she was recommended to us by another…read moresitter who was not available at the time we needed her. Our dog does not do well at kennels or daycares, so we knew he needed to stay in the comfort of his own home. Toni was very responsive and got back to us quickly. Toni has not been the one who actually looked after our pup on any of the visits, but we met her and another pet sitter who'd be watching our dog and got a great vibe. Our dog, Jimmy John, connected with Chris, his sitter, immediately. He now has another sitter, as Chris is no longer with the company, but he loves her too! The cost is $25 per visit, and we have them come twice a day while we're gone, so it adds up quickly. We know we can count on Toni's Pet Sitters to take care of not only our dog while we're gone, but things around the house (they are so helpful with getting our mail, watering plants, turning lights on and off to accommodate light for the dog at night, etc.). We are repeat loyal customers, for sure, and we are so thankful in knowing that we can always count on Toni's team to care for our beloved furry family member whenever the need arises. Thanks for being here for us and allowing us to feel comfortable that our pup is good hands while we're gone!!!!
