My dog and I love it here! It's very accessible. There's so much parking in the plaza. They have accommodating hours. Heads up, doors are closed between 12-2pm PT; otherwise you can pick and drop off your fur friends before or after. Of course, they have evaluations. It is quick and easy to assess. They divide the dogs up by size so they can play more appropriately. All the play areas are indoor. Specifically great for those hot Vegas days! One of my favorite things is that they post daily photos on a members only Facebook page. It's great to grab photos and see how they play. They also provide grooming services. Completely uncalled for, and unsanitary and It makes me wonder if they let him out of his kennel long enough to relieve himself. And you couldn't even wash his bed or give him a bath?! If I could give this place a zero stars, I would. Jessica, the owner (and dietician), stated that they don't offer a window of late time for appointments. She said since she has been working there she's never had someone running late and "they don't run into this issue." Well, as I told her, many doctors office allow a late window due to being understanding and compassionate about their clients and/or customers. Additionally, I was only shown a picture of where my dog would stay but not allowed to view the back area. I felt this to be odd but overlooked it. Their customer service is poor and they lack compassion for dog owners. Would NOT recommend. Furthermore, the time I ran late would interfere with their 12pm lunch break. I always schedule everything right when the appointment is being made. I get here and they scheduled someone else and magically my appointment was scheduled for next week. I found Houndstown after my cat passed away which resulted in my Pitbull mix Grayson was very depressed. I was looking for some place where he could go and play with other dogs. Houndstown does not discriminate against breeds. A simple temperament test and that's it. He was accepted. I know my fur baby enjoys himself there for doggy day care. They take pictures of your baby and post them, you can see how happy your baby is. They also have pupcations, which are very reasonable. I've been taking my labrador here for daycare to spend time with other dogs as he isn't able to at home. This place is convenient for me as its right by my house. Everyone here is very nice and cares about the dogs. They offer a free temperament assessment as well as your 1st day of daycare free. In addition, they separate the dogs based on energy levels so high energy dogs are not with the chill ones. My doggo comes home each time super happy and tired. I've been taking my puppy Khloe to HTH for a while now. She absolutely loves it! And that's an understatement. I never in my life thought I'd be someone who took my dog to daycare, but here I am. First, it's worth every single penny. My dog has changed and is thriving because of her time spent at HTH. She is absolutely exhausted the second she gets in the car. Her destructive home behavior has stopped and she's just such a different dog. It's amazing! Prior to finding this place we walked her twice a day and even bought a dog treadmill to get us through the summer, but that still wasn't enough to tire her. When we arrive my dog can't get out of the car fast enough to go inside. To me that says something really positive. The owners are so kind and go above and beyond to plan fun parties and events for the pups which make for the best pictures ever, haha. The staff is all great and always answer my questions. We have boarded with them a few times and it's been very positive. Most recently she stayed there for two weeks and she had so much fun she didn't want to leave, haha. I was on scrolling on Facebook one day and saw this ad about a new doggie day care opening up and so I clicked on it and came across Hounds Town. I was so excited especially since it was much more closer to us and they had long hours for day care. We set up a time to bring in both our dogs for their temperament check and of course they passed with flying colors. Lol. Jamie and Jessica were both very welcoming and made us feel comfortable bringing our pups over. Just want to add in that they do offer taxi services for your dogs if you're unable to drop them off. I was looking for a new daycare for my dog since I wasn't loving the one he had gone too, I found Hounds Town and stopped by for a visit. The owner was since enough to spend some time with me and answered by questions, a few weeks later I bought my dog by to be tested and the next day he came to his first all day daycare, he had a great time and came home tired, which is what I hoped for. What I love about this place is that they don't have people standing in with them dogs all day, they do this because the dogs will only want to be around the human, with the human inside the dogs play and become a pack, this doesn't mean they don't watch over the dogs ! They do, just not inside the room. They also don't have the video camera so you can check on your dog but they do post pictures all day on FB so you do get to see your dog. My dog looks forward to coming to Hounds Town and gets so excited when he gets there not like the other daycare where he didn't want to go in! I travel with new job and need a nice friendly place....NOT this place! lady at counter acted like I was bugging her even coming in..said "we work on appointments only"....asked about feeding schedulea "we only allow feeding once a day"??? owner came out and he also acted perturbed that I was there? between the two I am still amazed...impolite, and def didn't want anyone to drop in to ask about services....ooh well maybe they are independently wealthy? or something else will go in soon, that is good for the area... the funniest one was when I told them my male is not neutered yet (vet wants me to wait till he's 2), she said it's "against the law" to board him...... lol I told her she shouldn't lie to people like that, some might believe her what a joke read more

I was very nervous about sending my dog here because she is 12 and has never done anything like this on her own before. She had lots of fun and I got pictures everyday to see how she was doing. I was not going to be one of those people to write a negative review, but am so angry at how I was just treated over the phone that I must share for future dog owners considering doggy daycare here. My puppy Stella is 8 months old and has been going once a week to daycare. She loves interacting with other dogs. After daycare last Thursday, she became quite ill. Throwing up and vomiting. I thought it was normal puppy stuff. However, I took her into my vet and found out she had contacted a virus and is quite ill. The only outside contact was at Hounds Town. I thought I would be a responsible dog owner and call to give the owner a heads up and to warn other dog owners. I was not allowed to talk to the owner as he was too busy. Was told I was speaking with a manager. Her lack of care and concern was obvious from the start. She didn't ask my puppies name or what day she was there. Asked me what she had. I told her a virus that she contacted at the daycare. She asked the name which I could not produce so she blew me off. Her comment was when you take your dog to daycare you can expect this. I suggested that maybe they consider screening the dogs a little better and possibly putting a sign up as a warning to other owners. Their lack of care and concern for my puppy makes me wonder how they treat our dogs when we are not around??? read more

Had an appointment for my puppy to be evaluated for her play date. They offer one free day. I received a confirmation text for our appointment on Thursday the 15th. The time was not on it and we mistakenly thought it was for 9 Am. Not a big deal we live 10 mins away. We walked in happy and smiling. The front desk girl was lovely. There was also a man at the desk with a scowl. It turns out he is the owner. We told him why we were there and he coldly and with an extremely nasty tone said we do not do evaluations at 9 am and you do not have an appointment today. We felt like we committed a crime. I told him he was mistaken we have an appointment today. He said no your appointment is tomorrow. Still in that nasty cold way. I told him I received a text message confirming our appointment. He angrily looked it up on the computer and there was our appointment. Rather then apologize and saying we were there early he said yea but we don't do evaluations at 9 am. Nasty, nasty. It would have taken only a smile and a oops to de escalate the tension. But nope he had to show us who's boss. We left saying we would not leave our pup with someone with that kind of attitude. I found text with the confirmation of our appointment and went back to show it to him. I was not happy with him. He said he didn't need my attitude. I showed him the text and he said he never said Friday and then took it back and said If I told you wrong I apologize in that same nasty voice. I am in a way glad this happened. If he is unable to control his temper with potential customers how does he control it with the dogs? This is my experience with Hounds Town. read more

Came across a brochure for Hounds Town at the animal hospital I take my dog to and I'm SO GLAD we found this place !! Very clean and cute inside !! AMAZING STAFF! Jamie seems very knowledgeable about pups and their behavior which made me feel safe right away, I knew I wanted to bring my dog here after meeting Jamie and Jessica! My pup came home with a big smile after her first day, we definitely will be returning! Also loved the report card !! They've always been great caring for our dogs whether it is dog day care or boarding for trips

Over the years I have been in Las Vegas I have tried out multiple daycares in town and have my favorites. With Hounds Town being new I thought I would check them out. I have been excited and waiting to try them out since I heard of them. I liked the idea that it is an all inclusive boarding facility and the dogs have access to the play yards during the day. I booked my behavior assessment and was caught way off guard by what I experienced. When we got there we found out we were double booked and the other behavior assessment had already started. No big deal - I sat back and listed along as the Hounds Town male Employee went over their policy's with the person before me. He insists on holding your dogs leash as he goes over things with you. As I am observing and listening to him I see the dog he is holding by leash constantly trying to distance herself from him. And every so often he pulls on the slip leash they make them wear and chokes her or just allows the dog to sit on a tight leash clearly not comfortable for the dog. He clearly wasn't paying any attention to this dogs body language. The dogs ears and commissure were set back and she wouldn't even look at him. I also observed him talk down to his employee running the desk for double booking (not knowing if it was her fault) and for not holding the dog that was being assessed leash (when he handed it to her) the way he wanted her to hold it. He was a little aggressive.. I started to get a bad feeling just watching. He informed the guests in front of me that the dogs are in the play yard all day and staff just go in and check on them frequently and was very clear that staff DO NOT stay in the yard with the dogs. He kept going back to this pack mentality that is a clear motto for their business model. Saying that dogs will sort issues on their own. Then identified the animal hospital they take injured dogs to if they get hurt but then said they never had any bad dog attacks. This theory of "pack mentality" has been debunked by many well known animal behavior experts for domestic dogs. It became our turn and I informed him my dog is very shy with people when he first meets them but warms up quickly. He grabbed the leash from me and began to pull my dog around - my dogs body language screaming that he is afraid - so I took my dogs leash back from him. He clearly has no experience with shy/submissive dogs. These dogs need to be handled gently not man-handled which is what he was doing. Instead of listening to me he kept talking over me stating how he needs to hold his leash during the assessment. This makes no since - owners are not allowed in the back where the dogs play so either make the behavior assessment with the owner around or take the owner out of the equation completely. Most dogs aren't going to want to leave their owners side with them being in the same room. No other place in town does this! I reluctantly handed the leash back to him and my dog literally cowers on the floor and the man stays super assertive and doesn't try any other way to make my dog comfortable. To me this is just a big sign of lack of training or knowledge which is really bad since he is someone running a daycare/boarding facility. There are many types of dogs out there and there isn't only one way to handle them. At that point I took my dog and left without finishing the assessment and will not return to this place. We have 2 daycares we frequent and my dog does well with the staff and has never had any issues. Never have I ever seen a dog daycare/boarding facility be so insensitive and shy submissive dogs and we have visited many here in Las Vegas. Also another red flag that got me was the way they do behavior assessments. They keep the dogs on a leash and use a dog that is currently in daycare/boarding to test the new dog with. Not an issue for my dog since he is so submissive but I could see this being an issue for many dogs. Dogs always do better when meeting other dogs off the leash which I thought was pretty well known even to people that don't know much about dog behavior. The meeting another dog portion of the "behavior assessment" is only a few short minutes of your dog interacting with another dog on the leash and then they are deemed pass or fail. This place obviously does well with some dog as they have a lot of good reviews but if you have a shy or submissive dog I would choose to go somewhere else. read more
