This store always has a lack of available cashiers and most of the employees on the sales floor are rude and seem disinterested in their job or helping customers. They wait until there's a significant line (5 or more customers) before they call for help, yet there's plenty of people available on the sales floor that I've seen work the cash register who make no effort to help out. This store acts like customers have no other options for pet stores. Corporate needs to evaluate this store and its management before there are no customers left to service. read more

I found a little puppy running down Water Street in Henderson. I knocked on all the doors nearby no one even answered. I was panicking, my grandson looked up animal control to try and find a place where her owners could find her and he said let's try Pet Smart so I was hoping she'd be chipped she was not or fixed probably to young. So I brought my 3 dogs in today. 2 of them are done one of them was gonna be a little bit of a problem. We just adopted him, he was badly matted. We come to pick them up 4 and a 1/2 hours after we left them, our badly matted one was halfway done and stuck in a cage in the back. So this woman can do 2 other dogs. If you're okay with that, then bring your dogs here. I've never had an issue in 4 years We've been coming here. This is the first time, of course, they have a very high turnover here. I don't know, maybe we'll think about it next time before they come back.They come back once a month but the lady that I was doing it.She didn't even finish him.She just went home.Someone else is having to do her job. I've been here several times for supplies and to look at the kittens available for adoption from time to time. The location is in a convenient shopping center with plenty of parking. They usually always have everything I need and in stock here. The staff has always been helpful when I had questions and pretty friendly at the check out line as well. I have ordered for pickup from this location and I appreciate that they offer pick up when I am in a hurry. I ordered through the app for delivery from this location a few times and once there was an issue where I received a different order but they corrected it for me and I received what I ordered pretty quickly after speaking to someone. I asked the lady with the bright pink hair and the lady at the adoption center for help, and they were absolutely useless. One just stood there with a blank look, barely glanced around the counter, and the other walked off without even bothering to take my info. Two days ago went to buy fish and the store manager told me to come back another day because they were too busy, half the fish were dead in the tanks, and it was probably one of the worst fish stores I've seen in Vegas. I can't believe I have never given this Petsmart. I've been coming here for 6 years. It's conveniently located to me. The price is equivalent to what you get. I typically have no issues but this last time I wasn't super happy with the last girl. However, you can choose which groomer so I just won't choose her next time. Pepper is always happy to go, so I have no issues. She gets a little fussy with the groomer because she's getting old. Overall I am satisfied. read more

I recently took my two puppies, a Mini Golden Doodle and a Husky (both 3 months old), for their first grooming experience. I was quite nervous, especially given some negative reviews I'd heard about PetSmart grooming. However, during a visit to the vet, I received a glowing recommendation from another doodle owner who suggested Sandelle at PetSmart. Despite my initial hesitation, I decided to give it a try, especially after seeing how beautifully groomed the other doodle was. From the moment I arrived, I was met with genuinely pleasant smiles and thorough explanations of the grooming process. It was clear that Sandelle treated my dogs with exceptional care and patience. Both my puppies came back happy and, more importantly, looking absolutely beautiful! I was beyond pleased with the results. Sandelle's expertise was evident. She informed me every step of the way, knowing this was my pups first time & he was extra nervous. (His obedience classes are taken at the Stephanie location.) Shout out to Stoney's groomer Gwen. My baby had high anxiety issues when it comes to getting groomed. I told Gwen this and this young lady got down to Stoney's level and talked softly to her while she reassured & pet her gently n4 she put their lead on Stoney. This meant every to me seeing how gently Gwen interacted with my little girl. I was also running late approx 15 min & when I called to ask Gwen if she would still accept Stoney I was expecting a no answer and be told I would have to reschedule, but to my delight Gwen said It would not be an issue, SECOND BIG SHOUT OUT TO THIS LOVELY YOUNG LADY!! I also walked out of the Grooming Dept & left my wallet & Stoney's vaccination paper work on the counter & b4 I even got to the parking lot they came running after me to give me my wallet...WOW THAT WAS AWESOME!! The only complaint I have from. Tidaus visit is that when I was paying for Stoney's grooming fees I asked the cashier to add a $15.00 tip for Gwen & I informed that she could not do this, because Pet Smart was still running on Windows 95. Com' on Pet Smart get with the times so that your groomers may be compensated as they should. I walked back to the grooming dept and asked to speak to Gwen & told her why I was unable to leave her a tip and told her that I would definitely be back to ensure that she is tipped for the absolute awesome job she did. read more

The person said 2-3 hours for a bath and nail grind, and when we picked him up, they said they couldn't do a nail grind. ZERO customer service from totally distracted, completely disinterested employees. I had run to PetSmart after returning from a short trip to LA. We've all had that kind of experience--you walk into an establishment and not one person working there acknowledges your presence. It's as if you're invisible even though your head is on a swivel, indicating to anyone paying attention you're looking for something AND NEED HELP! Had it been any other time, any other day, I would have done an about-face and beat feet for the door. It's now a time when it's FAR easier to shop online and with one mouse click, have that item speeding its way toward your home. However, this this time we were on a mission! THAT DAY, we'd just driven back from Los Angeles, and it was abundantly clear--as we got closer to home--our three little ones were PACKED with FLEAS! Yuck! They must have picked them up while staying with family. Obviously, fleas are commonplace in LA while they're rare in Southern Nevada. When I finally was able to get help from a young man, he asked what I was looking for. I said, "Flea Control." Without missing a beat he retorted, "We don't have fleas in Southern Nevada." Thanks, Einstein. Amazingly--and likely a BIG surprise to the PetSMart in-house genius--they had a whole section featuring flea and tick control products, presumably for sale EVEN THOUGH the problem doesn't affect pets in our area! SMH The main thing I wanted immediately was a topical flea control solution. They had the regulars: Hartz, Front Line, etc. I purchased the treatment products needed as well as anti-flea shampoo I could use as soon as we got home. Adding insult to injury, the topical pack was nearly $75 to treat our three little ones! I did a price check on Amazon when we got home. The same item was around $35. How "Brick and Mortar" stores can possibly compete, especially with lousy customer service, is beyond me. Needless to say, this reviewer will never set foot in another PetSmart. PS: When walking into the Henderson PetSMart where I shopped, it was empty of any customers, further mystifying the lack of customer service. IF storefront businesses are to compete and survive, they need OUTSTANDING customer service to compel patrons to visit their store again and again. read more

We have been bringing our Daisy Mae to doggie day camp for a few years now, originally to the Stephanie location but for the past year or so we have been coming to this location. I have to say I absolutely adore the staff at this location! They always go out of their way to make sure Daisy is comfortable and they are so sweet and friendly. They never fail to tell us how Daisy's day went. They also check ID if someone they don't recognize is picking the pet up which I appreciate. This is our go to PetSmart. There are very friendly and helpful workers here. Everyone helped Brownie and I figure out if we had the right harness fit, since I wasn't so sure. This is like a dog's favorite candy store. I like to walk Brownie around and see what he likes (by his sniffs of course). I like their membership discounts. A majority of things here are expensive so I usually shop when things are on sale or clearance. Other than that, I'm hoping to try their grooming area soon! read more

I live in Cadence this is the closest PetSmart to me. I bring my dog in every other day after the park to pick out treats and fluffy animal babies for her. She's also been groomed there and the service was great. Every time I've called in past they've asked if I want to take her in right now bc they're not busy. Today I called to get her rabies shot and grooming and the hospital part where they do shots I was placed on hold for 20 mins and hung up on, I called back and he told me he only had drop off appointments which take 2-4 hours and I said that's fine I can bring her bc I need 48 hours between her shots and grooming and I'm flying to Florida for a family member death Friday. I said that's fine when can I bring her in and he said he has nothing til Friday, but he'd JUST told me I could take her in today as a "drop-off"... The lack of empathy for the situation lost them a very good client/shopper. I will NEVER shop at this location nor will I get Molly services done here. This disrespect and inability to understand that I'm a regular regular, I spend a lot of time and a lot of money on my dog Molly, and we're in a situation that was sprung on us and knowing we can't get help from her regular provider means we will no longer be giving any money or business or referrals to this location. read more

She walked around the desk and started talking to me like I was a 13-year-old kid Very disrespectful. I finish my transaction and I found a manager and told him that this lady had treated me completely out of hand in front of my children and spoke to me very rudely and he said he had no idea what to do and she was listening and laughing, I want Petsmart to know I will not be going to the store ever again because of this I would rather drive 15 minutes longer to have better customer service. One awesome thing about registering at what Petsmart is that if your dog ever needs to repeat a class, it's free of charge. And at less than half the cost, we can afford to do fun classes like brain, games, tricks and more. I was nervous to take her here, for its such a large corporation I didn't think they'd do a great job. Though I can't speak for all PetSmarts, this one is great. I usually go to PetSmart for all of my pets needs all the time. But I always have trouble with this location constantly. The other day I went in trying to do a return and they asked me for my id and the cashier goes, "this is so fake!". I said excuse me that is my real id . I can not believe she said that to me out loud in front of a lot of customers. I was very embarrassed and then I was pissed . I did not have a receipt but all she had to do was look at my account and see how much I go to you guys. Also on the back of the receipt it says if you do not have a receipt you get store credit. So I'm not sure why they couldn't do the return. Maybe you need to train your staff better on what the policy is and what it says on the back of all of your receipts. And maybe have your cashier's scan the IDs like every one else. Thank you. read more

Both on the phone and when dropping my puppy dog off to be groomed, I explained that he is a large breed (85 pounds) and have never been groomed. They said no worries. I brought him in only to be called 29 minutes later to come get him. I had to go in the back to bring him out of the kennel that he was cowered in, then yelled at when I went to put his harness on instead of bringing him out by the lead that they had on him. They provided no explanation on what happened to my baby to make him cower and just stated that he would need to be groomed by me or a mobile groomer and could not come back. They were incredibly disrespectful of me, my daughter and my dog and provided no information on what happened. Do not recommend for any large breed dogs - the only dogs that seemed to be getting attention were small ones which is fine but just tell me on the phone that you can't handle a large breed. This Petsmart is so well run and the staff is friendly. They always have a specific prescription cat food I need (Royal Canin Multifunction Hydrolyzed Protein/Renal), which is very hard to find. I just bring in my prescription and Banfield gives me a card which I take to the front and check out. Very easy and quick process. I booked a grooming two weeks ago for today with Tasha K and when I got in, it just change to Alyss R. I didn't ask why and I thought Tasha might be on break. After the grooming, we spend some time to get to the store which I found out that Tasha was there. She told me that my dog will bite the cage when he's waiting for to be dry out. She told me that they need to work on multiple dogs at the same time and let them wait to be dry. I just don't understand that's the way they do groom? Let dogs wait to be dry? What if they catch a cold? Shouldn't they be dried after washing right away? When we pick him up, I found my dog is not that dry and I have to let her take my dog to dry again. They said a husky need a three hour, but they called me only two hours. I don't know if they do it really fast and didn't really take care of my dog. I feel really disappointed about this store. read more

We have been using PetSmart since Max was a puppy! We were totally satisfied until Monday, when we took him in after waiting 2 weeks for an appointment!! We arrived on time only to wait on a nice man without an appointment to pay extra for an "express" appointment that essentially kicked us out of line. Our Max is getting older and they wanted to charge us more to turn our appointment into an "express" so that he wouldn't be stressed!!!! Now we were stressed $$$! They also said he was "matted".... no! We took Max to another groomer and they did an excellent job without the up-selling and hassle, with no up-charges for either matting or his age. Now we have a new groomer for Max and we're happy. We don't need "PetDumb" any more. read more
