A friend gave me Tiara's name, I was told to ask for her, that her grooming and nail trims were the best. She did not disappoint. Tiara is the sweetest with my pup who has had bad experiences at groomers. She talks to him the whole time with kindness to let him know she is not going to hurt him. I think my pup will warm up to her as we keep going. The shop is bright and always decorated in fun decor. All the groomers are sweet and the front desk is so nice. When I dropped off my puppy, Honey, at 12 PM for her grooming appointment, I was told it would take about 3-4 hours for her full haircut. I had made the appointment online the day before and also provided my phone number over the phone during the booking process. When we arrived the next day, they again had me write down my phone number, my name, and my dog's name on a sticky note. We were told they would call us when Honey was ready for pickup. Around 4 PM, I started wondering why I still hadn't heard anything. I didn't want to call too early because I didn't want to be a pain if she wasn't finished yet. When I finally called to check on her status, they informed me she had actually been ready since 2 PM. Apparently, they mixed up the 702 in my number with a 720. Living in Las Vegas, that mistake was honestly frustrating -- especially considering they had my correct number written on the sticky note right next to the computer, in addition to already having it from the original appointment booking. I'm also confused why another call attempt wasn't made after the first number didn't work. When we arrived, they were apologetic, which I'm not sure how you can't be when you're sitting in front of me looking at my correct written phone # on the sticky note.  Unfortunately, on the drive home, we realized Honey had feces stuck in her paws, which then got on my pants(photo provided). When we originally dropped her off, they were already cleaning up another dog's accident on the floor, but I didn't think much of it because they cleaned it quickly. I'm not sure if the dogs roam around together after grooming, but I was disappointed that she somehow ended up with dirty paws after just paying $114 for the service. Despite the frustrating ending, we genuinely loved the groomer we met with initially. I don't remember her name, but she had an Australian accent and was incredibly kind. She took the time to walk us through the grooming process and made us feel very comfortable leaving Honey there. It's just unfortunate that the rest of the experience overshadowed that positive first impression. read more

Tails a waggin is an awesome place to bring your big dogs except when they're getting old and they have a hard time standing up for a long periods of time, because they have to lift them up into the tub. It was hard for me to get her into the car to drive there and then even harder to get her out of the car once we arrive plus, It's hard on them and they can't wash them right so I had to leave them and go to a mobile groomer that comes to my house. I will miss tails a waggin. They are a great place to go. Everyone there is super nice and their prices are really nice too. They don't overcharge you. read more

When I called to get an estimate for how much it would be to bathe and trim/groom my dogs. They told me it would be between $75 and $95 for each dog. Then when I got there, they told me it would be between $115 and $125 for each dog. After that they tried to upgrade me to brush their teeth and also another upgrade for conditioning their hair, The final blow was when I went to pick them up and pay for them they charged me an extra $13 to use my credit card but never told me in advance that there would be a charge if I didn't pay cash. Lastly they did a terrible job grooming my dogs!!! So far everyone that seen them has said oh my God what happened? read more

Have brought my pups to TAG since the 1st owners opened the salon and have always been happy. They've went through a few owners and whomever owns it now is charging an extra 3% processing fee if using a credit card. No extra charge if using debit card or cash. I've been a business owner for years, the credit card processing fee is part of the cost of doing business and should not be passed along to the customer. TAG's price for a chihuahua when I started going was $45.-, not it's up to $65.- plus tip ... and now an extra fee. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have been going this groomer for over 10 years and will NEVER go back. We had a 10:30 appointment and the dogs weren't even given their haircut till 2:30pm! Completely unacceptable and they were also in a cage the entire day. Previously, the groomer always advertised and stood behind the fact that they allow the dogs to roam freely there and that is certainly not the case anymore. AND...to top it off my dog got completely butched and her haircut was terrible and incomplete. I was called after everything was over and was told by the owner that it's just better if you don't come back! It is what it is and how we run our business. I'm not one to write reviews. However, I feel like this is something that potential customers should be aware of. I took my dog here for his first haircut. When we arrived to our appointment they said since it's his first grooming they would wash him and see how tolerates being touched before cutting. Two hours past and they call saying our dog did great and they were able to give him a haircut. After picking him up we noticed that both eyes were BLOOD SHOT RED. My boyfriend & I are both ICU nurses and know that this was new and concerning. Before jumping to conclusions we make an appointment to be seen by the vet. The vet had confirmed that the blown vessels in his eyes were due to trauma and strangulation. Also, recommending we not take him back. Concerned about the well-being of other dogs we wanted to make sure Tails A Waggin was aware. When we notified the receptionist of the injuries she states "it's from soap in his eyes." As she reaches for our dog he yelps, backs up and starts to cry. This was clearly a traumatic incident for him. So we'll leave these photos for you to decide if you want your dog to have "soap" in their eyes. read more

I have an unusual Terrier breed, kerry blue terrier. They told me they knew how to cut Her breed and I even showed them pictures of how to cut her and they said that they knew how to cut her. Our two little Maltese dogs (age 2 & 3) were not happy or waggin their tails from their nightmare grooming experience. We brought them in at 8am and around 10am received a call that Ozzy got cut and was brought to a vet cause he needed stitches. I was also told from the person who called us to pick up Ozzy at the vet and that Lyla was ready too. The vet is a few stores from Tails A Waggin. When we entered the animal hospital a woman approached us and identified herself as Nina the owner of the grooming salon. She was there not out of concern for our dog, but to try and do damage control. She reminded us many times that accidents happen and not to worry she was not charging us for Ozzy's grooming and she would pay the vet bill. When I called the salon to ask when is a good time to speak to the groomer who cut Ozzy. We only wanted to find out how it happened. I received a call back from the owner and she left a message that her words were not acceptable and her tone too! I pray that this doesn't happen to another cherished fur baby and I will not stop spreading the word about Tails A Waggin...run from that place!! read more

I am not one to post negative reviews but I felt the need to make dog owners aware of our experience. We were looking for a groomer for both our dogs, ( a bishon and a schnoodle ) and we were able to make an appointment for Saturday morning. Upon arrival, the place was busy and both our dogs were taken in and placed in crates. This is not a problem at all as both are crate trained. My husband was filling out paperwork when our pets were taken but still had a clear view of them. Our bishon was wining, which is natural for a bishon to do. Well, this just so happened to annoy the groomer who was next to our bishon. The groomer started hitting the crate to hush our dog. This scared our bishon and he started to bark louder which annoyed the groomer even more. The groomer had the nerve to get a water bottle and start spraying our dog to hush him up. My husband told the staff to give us our dogs back and left. I cannot begin to imagine what these groomers do to pets that are out of their comfort zone when owners are not watching. You have to have patience and compassion toward animals to be a groomer and this place clearly lacks workers that qualify in this area. This place may have had some good workers in the past but I really hope the business owner starts to research the workers they have in place because they have a serious problem in their hands. read more
