Thankful they didn't just do a buzz cut as so many groomers do!

We are visiting from out of state ( family lives here and we spend a few months) and desperately needed a groomer. As my sister doesn't have a dog - I only had a few neighbors to ask and didn't have many positive experiences. So I turned to Yelp happy I did as they did a great job on our often difficult, senior pup.

They shaved my Pomeranian The lady was lazy, he is BALD, didn't even bathe him, the fur that she did leave, looks like sh*t. If I would have known he'd walk out looking like this, I would have done it myself with my eyes closed and it would have looked better. I had to buy him jackets to regulate his body temperature AND most likely will get alopecia from this. AND I PAID OVER $100 for this Made me tip and pay before seeing him. This place is a scam.

Love Top Dog grooming, it's only 5 mins from my house and they do a great job & they will listen to you to the very T. One time I said we like the fluffy just tame it, he came back looking like he didn't get a hair cut! But that was my fault with the miscommunication. My Nimbus loves it there every time I pick him up he never wants to leave. read more

I have an Aussiedoodle who's full of energy and can be a bit of a handful, but the team here did such an amazing job with him! They managed to groom him quickly and he looks absolutely perfect. I'm so impressed with how patient and efficient they were -- he came out looking (and smelling) great. Top Dog did a good job grooming my Keiki-boy, who I am "fostering" from my mother. Be aware that Top Dog has a small 72-hour window to notify them of any requested revisions to their work, and I was not aware of this. About 5 days later, I requested that Top Dog cut the hair on Keiki's ears a little shorter, but since I was out of the 72-hour window, I was advised that I would be charged a bath fee, which is about $60. No thanks. Other than that, Top Dog was great and I'll definitely be back. read more

We've been going to Top Dog continuously now, and I can confidently say that this is our go to groomer. Our boy isn't the nicest, and he can be very difficult... we've been going to Priscilla and she is WONDERFUL. The first couple of visits she let us know that she took her time with him and that he got a little better once he knew he was completely alone (no mom and dad = doomsday) Very affordable and they do a very good job with the circumstances. So glad we found a perfect groomer very close to home! read more

i take both of our dogs to top dog for nail trimming. one is 10 lbs & the other is 100lbs. no matter the size, they do a great job and both dogs and they are never traumatized. we are always greeted with a smile and eveyone is very friendly. they groom the dogs in the front and whenever i have been in, the dogs are happy. read more

A lot of the females there are very unprofessional and have HUGE smart ass attitudes, Pricilla is alright at grooming but her prices are outrageous for a basic grooming and her personality/attitude kills her status. The "bookers" are selfish girls that think they are better/more important than anyone or anything else going on in peoples lives. like there's not 100x better establishments than this very average hole in the wall lol. Will not be returning to this establishment due to the rude employees high prices and very mediocre services. I'll also add the 2 times I have brought my dog here he was cut from the razor/trimmer near his genitals and there was visible blood from the cut. I highly recommend checking other places out. read more

I recognized it was the lady with the tattoos on the phone. I knew I had an appointment later that day and I asked questions about how long it would take. I asked a few more questions and I told her I would call back to see if I can make it work. When I called back, I wanted to inquire about availability for Monday. Brian answered and I told him I called a few minutes prior to book an appointment with him. I think the lady in the tattoo must have been speaking to him because he put me on hold. When he came back on, he told me that I am booked for 1pm and told me to have a good day. I just figured I could try to make it work but when I thought about it, I had a feeling that I would be cutting it close. I called back the next day to reschedule. I got the lady again and asked to reschedule for a later time that day. She told me 2pm would be the latest. That time wasn't going to work. So I asked for another day. She rudely told me that I would be charged a cancellation fee since I was canceling a hour and half before the appointment. Let's not forget I made the appointment the day before and 2pm is still available so it's safe to say, they didn't weren't booked and busy. I told her I'll pay the cancellation fee. She told me that I would be charged the full amount ($102) on top of the $102 up pay for the Monday appointment. How is that a cancellation fee?!! I went on to their website...can't find the cancellation policy at all. I will not be going back. I'm sorry Brian, you were great and if you ever get your own thing going, let me know. Tattoo girl is doing way too much and she needs to check her attitude.

They later told us she wasn't comfortable with the clippers, so they were only able to trim her hair with scissors and said that was the best they could do. After that experience, we decided to reach out to At Your Door Mobile Pet Grooming because we were worried other groomers might turn us away due to how difficult our pup can be. We also felt more comfortable having the groomer right outside our home in case any issues came up during the appointment. From our very first interaction, we shared all of our concerns, and they immediately reassured us by saying, "We will work with her," without any hesitation. Their pricing was a little higher than other groomers, but honestly, the convenience and peace of mind made it completely worth it. MELINDA is AMAZING!!! She did such a fantastic job on our pup's haircut, and her patience was truly unmatched. You can genuinely tell she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. Thank you so much, Melinda! I have been taking my golden retriever to Top Dog on Lake Mead for years. Every 3-4 weeks for 4 years. I was always early for every appointment. Always picked up within 30 minutes of being told the dog was ready to go. None of that matters though with this company. I wrote my appt time down wrong. My appt was at 9am and I arrived at around 11am. I get it. My fault for having the wrong time written down. How Top Dog chose to handle it however is not acceptable. They still did the requested service on my dog. However, I got charged an additional $25 because I was late. Late one time after over 4 years of never being late. That was the last time I went to Top Dog. This company really does not care about long time customers. Only how much money they can get out of you. Their no mercy late policy and their recent price increases based on weight are too much. I now have a mobile service come by. Actually a few bucks cheaper. I'm sure I'll get the same canned response the owner gives other people who complain about the late charge but I don't care. I'm a business owner too and will always remember what loyal customers mean to my business. Being late one time is not the end of the world. Treating loyal customers bad will be the end of Top Dog. read more

Everyone there is amazing. I have a very difficult dog that doesn't really like to be groomed and especially difficult with his paws being touched. They were so sweet and understanding.
