Seriously stupid. We have previously (as recent as six months ago) used Petsmart Grooming at another location. However, this one is HORRIBLE. We brought our dogs in to get a batch and they: (a) did not have an appointment for us - even though we made the appointment the previous day (b) did not have a record for us - even though we have been there over a dozen time (c) did not have vaccination record - even though I was copied on the fax that was sent to them I showed them a copy of the fax and was told that "it had to come from a vet". Serious stupid. read more

I get all my dogs groomed here and They absolutely love my dog. Sometimes my dogs are difficult to groom, but they are understanding never make me feel horrible. When I get my dogs they're happy they smelled good and it doesn't bother them to go to the grooming salon at all I think this Store is amazing, clean and I can tell the employees love pets! read more

While I am not one to usually write a bad review (especially after visiting a place multiple times, I felt it was necessary to portray my horrible experience today while I went shopping for "Christmas presents" for my loved ones. I will say that even though I do have a puppy that is completely potty trained and has been for several months, he decided to "mark" his territory in the store for the first time inside after completing training. I proceeded to clean up his mess after getting onto him which wasn't much more than a few drops. After going back and forth between a "good thanksgiving meal" for my pets, I noticed an employee cleaning a rather larger pile of pee in an adjacent aisle. My dog proceeded to mark yet again next to me which I then immediately cleaned up causing me to utilize the same cleaning materials as the employee. Thus completing my shopping, I proceed to the checkout where said employee was discussing with the cashier about the mess. The cashier with the pink hair decided to then make a point of overtly expressing the audacity of owners that do not watch their pets and/or clean up after their mess. It is unclear to me if it was meant to be passive aggressive towards me as if it had been my pet creating the mess, but it was still completely unprofessional. I will not return to this store due to lack of customer service. This employee went on and on about how large the pee was as if she had cleaned it up herself. I understand this is not a favorable part of the job experience of working at a pet store and appreciate you all that have to pick up these "oopsies" from time to time, but remaining tactful should be part of the job as well. I do like that this store carries the NutroUltra which adds a star to this review. read more

RUN! DO NOT WALK. RUN! I took my German Shepard mix here to get shaved. First off, I was hesitant to drop him off because the groomer was doing a hack job on this poor puppy. Very careless and cutting him all up.. Stupid me decided to drop my dog off anyways. My appointment was set for 10:30. Well at 1:30 I get a call saying they can't shave my dog because he is giving an aggressive stare... 1) Are you kidding me??? You're not shaving him because you don't like the way he looked at you?? 2) my appointment was at 10:30, why did it take you 3 hours to decide you were gonna shave him?? Long story short, I had to pick up my dog with him only having a bath. They refused to refund me the money I paid for him to get a bath AND shaved. $60 down the drain. They were all very very rude. Not to mention, my dog didn't even smell good!!! He smelled horrible even though he had this so called "bath". I hate these assholes. Do not take your pets here to get groomed. It's doggie hell. read more

Bought some fish the other day from this location. The girl I spoke with told me I was buying fish that could not cohabitat and that would have issues. I ended up buying the fish anyway because I thought at the time what does this 20 something girl know about fish? Welp I woke up this morning to find that my tank was filled with dead fish and it seems as if they had been attacked by the last fish which is the one the girl told me i'd have issues with. Wish I would have listened to her, I think her name was clare. read more

The men's bathroom is consistently bad enough here to make you consider driving to a further petsmart on the chance that you may have to use the bathroom during your visit. People clearly have trouble hitting their mark in both categories 1 and 2, despite the bathroom being well lit. Of course that's to be expected sometimes, but what is alarming is that the bathroom must only get cleaned once a month! (I wish I was joking) Clean up the literal shit Petsmart! P.s. The rest of the store is great read more

My son needed an algae eater fish after the one he had for quite some time died. The sales person asked the size of his tank and fish already there. After hearing that, she refused to sell us a single fish. She said that there were too many fish in the tank. We walked to the front and asked for a manager-after discussion he refused as well. Ok-so the last time we were there the sales person sold us all the fish my son currently has and that person said it was fine. Actually received confirmation of the number of fish in the tank from the Austin Aquadome experts. Wow-guess we are not the customer at that store. Stay away from there unless you want to get lectured on owning pets. read more

I recently took my small dog here to get groomed. I dropped her off for an appointment at 10:30am and they said it would take about 2 hours. I was hesitant when I dropped her off because none of the groomers seemed very friendly toward me or my pet, but I was desperate to get her groomed before we left on a trip. I called at 1:30pm after I had not yet received a call from them. They said they were just working on her. I picked her up after 2pm. She was shaking when they handed her over and scratching her ears profusely. (She usually loves going to the groomer and is a happy pup when I pick her up.) The groomer said it was because she didn't like her ears getting trimmed. She has been scratching and shaking her head profusely since she got home and has been very uncomfortable. It is clear they did not take care when bathing her to not get water in her ears, or at all for that matter. We are now treating her ears for an ear infection. Worse than the infection, it makes me cringe to think of the lack of care they took for her while she was there. I feel TERRIBLE for leaving her there!! And to top it all off her hair cut looks horrible and she smelled like wet dog. I will absolutely never take my pets here to be groomed again and hope to save other poor pets from the same experience. read more

I had my schnauzer groomed in Bee Cave this week. Genevieve was her stylist. I live in central Austin and have always gone to Mueller. After having my dog done at Mueller I was always pleased. Let me tell you that after seeing Pogo this week I realized that not all groomers are the same. Even being employed by the same Corp with the same standards. She genuinely looked like a show dog. I will continue to drive to Bee Cave to have Pogo look her absolute best. Thank you Genevieve and thank you Petsmart. read more

Hannah is amazing!!!!!!!! 10/10 She grooms my cat cheese and takes extra care to leave cheese related puns on the "pawgress" report. This time she even drew a little cartoon. The employees here are AMAZING! I had a few years worth of quarters and I wanted to treat my fish to some new hardware. I decided to come here and in total it was a $90 or so purchase. Catch is I paid entirely in quarters.. the employees gladly took my 360 quarters and gave me a great experience. I can't reiterate enough how much it meant to me that they would do that for me! Great store 10/10 experience. read more

My father died last summer and I inherited his dog. Where he took her to get groomed was too far for me to take her too. This petsmart was close to my house so I took her there. They seemed to have done a good job. I took her there again two times. The third time I took her there I told them I did not want a lot cut because it was winter. When I picked her up you couldn't hardly tell that any had been cut. My husband called and talked to the manager and they let us bring her back the next day to get it redone. When I took hhet in she was fighting to get out of the place. I left her and that day after we picked her up she was so anxious. At home she had to constantly be in my lap and she would not lay daown. She would just lay there and shiver. I do not know what happened that day but I will never take her back there again. Her anxiety lasted for a week after going there that last time. read more

You know a pet store is truly pet friendly when your pet's tail starts wagging when he sees where he is going! The staff is exceptional in all the departments from sales, to grooming to training. The pricing is competitive and there is is great selection of all things for dogs. After a only a few visits the staff knows my red miniature poodle puppy and some remember his name. Should have read the reviews first I guess. Brought my Golden here last week for a nail trim. Should have known by the customer service I should have gone elsewhere. When I was getting checked in, the employees were more interested in chatting among themselves than helping me. The guy helping me was engaged in a very important conversation with the other employees (note my sarcasm) and kept turning away from me to give his 2 cents worth. The place was filthy, I understand they deal with dogs all day. But when you're about to lift my dog on the table, and you brush dog hair clippings from the previous "client" onto the floor and all over my dog, that's not cool. As I said the place was filthy, 2 or 3 employees sitting on the dog tables chatting and there's not a spot of floor not covered in dog hair, wasted labor? Won't be back, I'll take him to a real grooming place next time. read more

I am very disappointed with our last visit. I paid over $100 for what turned out to be a shampoo and brush only. Previous grooming experiences had been fine and we had had some very caring groomers....however, this time was much different. I dropped off my dog and she was there for the 3 hours. When I arrived, the groomer told me "I couldn't finish because she tried to bite me when I was drying her at the end. I think she was scared of the dryer" I was very apologetic and surprised as my dog has never even tried to bite anyone. I know dogs can be unpredictable so I believe that this could have happened. The groomer said she took $15 off the bill and I tipped her generously for her trouble. The entire bill was $85 dollars for the deluxe cut, shampoo, teeth and ear cleaning and nail trim and I tipped $20. When I got home, I noticed my dog's nails were not trimmed at all, there is still very long hair between the toes, "Ok, maybe that was at the end too," I thought....then I realized her her teeth had not been brushed....her under coat had not been trimmed...her ears were not cleaned nor trimmed. I'm fairly certain I just paid the discounted price of $85 for a good brushing and shampoo. They did call me when it was time to pick her up, but no one called me earlier to say there was a problem (if there was one). I'm not sure what really happened, but I can't recommend this grooming service at this time. read more

I went into PETSMART excited to buy 3 gerbils for my brothers birthday. I already had the enclosure set up and everything for them when I would bring them home. but instead, I get treated as if I were a person torturing them. I did not get these two girls names because of how apoplectic I was. there was a younger girl with curly mid hair. I asked if I could purchase 3 gerbils she looked in the cage for 3 and said okay i'll be right back. I patiently waited for her to come back with paper work. instead. she said I have some concerns do you already have an enclosure. and I mentioned I did and it was bigger than the ones you had them in. and this is not my first time with an animal. she walks away. so I grab someone else to help me. This mid aged woman with blonde hair, and was in a ponytail. I told her I was trying to purchase 3 gerbils. and apparently they were already talking about me over there headsets. because she then tries to explain that they eat other and they want the best for the animals. and as I look them up on the internet THEY LIVE IN GROUPS!!! THEY ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS. she told me they would eat each other and if I wanted to let my kids see that then go ahead. This place Is very unprofessional. I will not be looked up and down as if I was in the wrong. I simply was trying to make my family member happy. and be a customer to petsmart. nobody should be treated this way. and this is very much unacceptable. Ok...I was starting to think I was doing something wrong...I called this place at least 3 separate times. Once I was transferred to grooming & immediately placed on hold....no human contact, just straight to HOLD! Second time I called, I was transferred to the grooming line, I go through the whole routine: the "kind-of-dog" I had, "new customer", "yes, current with immunizations." I'm told to, hold for an appointment then left on hold for almost 10 minutes! I hung up after that because I thought it was crazy that I was actually holding that long! Third time I called, I just got hung up on! Seriously....after that I thought, if I'm getting such horrible customer service just trying to make an appointment, how would they treat my poor little shih tzu that gets anxiety when she goes to the groomers! Did not call back! read more

Grooming nightmar!. Lori, the new groomer, butchered our beautiful Labradoodle. Dropped her off at 9:30am, for a 1:00pm pickup. They called us at 3pm to tell us it would be 15 more minutes. So we showed up at around 3:15, and she said it would be another 20 minutes and blamed US for getting our dog excited when she saw us, which made it more difficult. And then Lori complained that she was over booked, which I'm sure is what lead her to take shortcuts and butcher our dog's coat. We loved her long coat, and now it is shaved down to almost nothing. Probably because that was quick and easy solution. We've been getting her groomed here for a year; we'll now never go back for grooming, food, toy, or anything else dog related. Don't let this happen to you. read more

One of the worst PetSmart I've ever been. Customer service is terrible. A employee named Amanda has no manners. Never going back ever again.

Just like previous comments, took our dog here for the N-th time but this time they couldnt find our dog in the system and had to re-show rabies doc. Then dropped him off to get haircut and explained we wanted it short but a yorkie bear cut. Picked him up and he was SHAVED! No call, nothing. Horrible. Of course it was free, though now my dog itches a lot and is making himself bleed from shaved skin irritation. They'd have to pay me to go back. read more

I recently purchased a Quietfow 50 for our fish tank, less than 30 days later it was no longer "Quiet"... So I boxed it back up and attempted to exchange it. The lady in the store asked for my receipt, I politely explained that I don't have it. However it is still in the original box, even the plastic bag... She was RUDE from then on with me. Practically yelling in my face, scolding me about not keeping the receipt! I understand that sometimes you have bad days, but please don't take it out on the customer! I was considering buying another, just to make it easier... However after that experience I will take my business elsewhere... Including the multiple bags of dog food we buy in a month! read more

I was coming around a corner to an aisle with my harnessed and leashed 25lb Cocker Spaniel service dog when we were confronted by a 125-140lb Rottweiler on a 10-15 foot extension leash by the owner while holding a baby. The female had virtually no control of her dog and it was fortunate that this big did not ATTACK my animal. There is also an issue with this extension leash tripping customers as the owner was crossing through the aisles. I spoke to the new Manager, Brian, requesting the store policy regarding these leashes. I reminded him about a law suit against PETSMART involving an extension leashes. read more

This is by far my go to pet store. Not only do I buy my dogs' food here, but I use Banfield and both of my dogs were trained by Christine and were able to obtain their Canine Good Citizens. In particular, the training services that they offer are fabulous. My older dog (4 at the beginning of training) was skiddish and seemed to be getting worse with age and now she is much more socialized and much less skiddish. Our younger dog (4 months at the beginning of training) did fabulously and was well training by 9 months! We went through all of the trainings and they have worked so well for us and our dogs. I highly recommend all services at this PetSmart. read more

So after the movies today, I surprised her and took her to the store to pick out her very own! Ann, the lady who helped us, was very knowledgable and helpful and even found us coupons when we went yo check out. Today my boyfriend and I went to petsmart at the bee cave location near the hill country galleria to get our dogs nails clipped. We have taken our dog to petsmart for this service before since we got him 2 years ago. The grooming people looked up our dogs info and said they could not see him because his rabies had expired Nov. 30th 2015. Yet on Dec 15th 2015, I took our pup in to get his nails clipped and nothing was said to me about his rabies being expired or anything, had no problem on that day. I told them that he is not due until March 2016 because he had it last done in March 2015 and it is good for 1 full year. During the argument between me and the grooming people they said that someone could have entered the info wrong in there system. That's not our fault and we should have been able to get our dogs nails clipped. We take very good care of our pup and I am always on top of his shots. Very upset and mad, we left the store and went home. Once home I found the information proving myself right that our dog is not due until 3/14/2016 to be exact for his next rabies shot, so I called the store and spoke to the manager (Kevin), explained everything and said he would call back. About 10min later get a call from the manager telling me the last record they have on file of our dog getting his nails clipped was Oct 2015. Remember I mentioned earlier that I took our dog on Dec 15, 2015 to get his nails clipped with no problems. Not only did the grooming people and the manager make me seem like I was a liar, even though I have proof, they lost our records for our pup and didn't even enter the information into their system correctly. WE WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS STORE AGAIN! read more

We moved with to Austin, TX and were looking to find a groomer. This place for the grooming of any sort of dog is the place you want to be. We went to two prior ones that did a horrible job on his hair cut and were way way over priced, I about passed out when I got the bill for both. We had a Bichon Frise, he was only 10 pounds and had a lot of health issues. Petsmart was the only ones that would groom our dog correctly with as many problems as he had. He had very bad hips and issues with his eyes (cataracts). So they took excellent care, they took their time with him and didn't get frustrated that he doesn't stand through the whole process. They new his issues and they took the time to work around them at a pace our dog was comfortable with.... Unfortunately due to more health issues that he acquired from his breeding we had to put him to sleep. But I would recommend if you are looking for a place that will take great care of your animal and not charge to the extreme for the care you are looking for this is the place you need to go. We will take our future dogs to be groomed here. Thanks to them our Bichon lived a cleaner and happier life while he was here and we are so grateful for them!!! read more
