Bravo for Bravado!
A neighbor on NextDoor posted a message about a new dog grooming trailer that was offering 50% off of full service grooms through August 1. It's HOT right now, and a 50% off offer sounded like a perfect excuse to get my dog a summer cut to try to keep him a little cooler.
It was really easy to schedule an appointment through Facebook. They responded quickly and worked with my schedule.
I arrived for my confirmed time and it was immediately clear there had been a scheduling mishap. There were two dogs ahead of us, and it would be several hours before they would be able to get to my dog. Rather than leave him there for hours or come back that evening, we opted to reschedule for the next day. Although it was a little hectic as we worked it out, they were very apologetic. And they gave my dog a homemade treat, so he was fine.
I was so impressed when they followed up with a message within an hour to again apologize with a generous offer to make things right and make up for the error and inconvenience. It's great when a business has good customer service when things go well; it's even more impressive to me when they go above and beyond when something went wrong.
When we arrived for the rescheduled appointment, the very nice groomer - I didn't catch her name, but my iPhone says maybe is Luz - was so great! She was very sweet with my dog. She talked me through the different coat length options, and even did a little test to show me what it would look like on my dog. And she was so apologetic again about the scheduling mix up.
My dog was so happy when I picked him up! She groomed him exactly like I asked. You can tell he feels like he looks good - and he's so much cooler! He got another treat, too. We're both happy!
It felt like a luxury to get him groomed in such a cute trailer with personal attention! He is dog reactive and it's always stressful for both of us at a big box store grooming operation. We have to navigate our way to the groomer in the back of the store, negotiate check in with other - often oblivious - owners who don't always keep their dogs under control, and then attempt to exit without confronting any other dogs. This was stress-free, so easy, and took a fraction of the time it takes at the big box stores!
I'm so glad Bravado is in the neighborhood! Even after the 50% off promotion expires, their prices are definitely competitive with the big box groomers and you get so much more! read more
