To be brutally honest I'm very disappointed in the service I received. My mistake was that I booked a morning appointment, and didn't take my dog for a walk first to get out some of his energy. I'll do that next time. The only good things I can say about Austin Mobile Spaws is the scheduling and payment was easy and the groomer wasn't rude. Now for the bad The groomer arrived 1/2 hour late. I was not communicated about this at all, nor did he acknowledge or apologize for being late. A little ways into the grooming he came to my door and said that my dogs mats were really bad on his legs so he would have to go really short on the legs. I said this was fine. Over an hour later he came back with Huckleberry. He said Huckleberry was too wiggly to finish without getting hurt. Most of Huckleberry's body had been shaved almost to his skin - I've never seen a cut this short on a dog. Half of his head was done, parts of his legs. His nails weren't even touched. There are random tufts of hair left. I will fix these areas with hand scissors. I asked if he had even been washed and the groomer said yes, but Huck's beard was still dirty and so was his butt. And he didn't smell clean. I'm sure the groomer will have all kinds of excuses, but I've had Huck groomed before when his fur was much more matted so I know what to expect. This wasn't it. He wasn't nearly as bad as the man said. There was no reason to go so short on his body. I also hate that I felt like I needed to tip in advance or I wouldn't get good service. I reluctantly did tip, and wish I hadn't. Like I said the only good thing about the groomer was that he wasn't rude. I'm not asking for a refund, though I should - my dog looks horrible and it will take months to grow out. But I will never use Austin Mobile Spaws again. read more

My golden had some heavy matting on his tail from all of his summertime swimming, and William was somehow able to salvage the golden fluffy duster tail without shaving it! A star for being friendly and on time. Terrible haircuts on my doodles! This is a total scam! She took exactly 2.5 hours for BOTH of my dogs! Anyone who knows doodles know it takes about that time for one dog! They don't look anything like my dogs. I asked to keep their head fluffy and teddy bear haircut. They look nothing like that and she cut my beautiful babies eyelashes off! So disappointed I can't believe I paid $320 for my babies to be literally shaved down and their faces to be messed up with out even blending the scissor cuts! Awful. BE WARNED: these people do not know how to cut doodles! I am kicking myself for trying this company. I was hoping a mobile truck would be easier as we have difficult schedules. Boy I was wrong. Do not make the same mistake! UPDATE: the manager reached out via email there was no phone call. They think there is some way to fix their haircuts. My boy now has a bald black spot on his back. I took him to the vet and she said it looks like the clippers got to hot and burned him so he got a skin infection and lost a patch of hair. I never once rushed the groomer this is an ABSOLUTE lie.
