They carry a solid variety of products, so I'm always able to find what I need for my dog, whether it's travel items, prescription food, or toys and treats. We just moved here from Chicago. The worst service/customer service, I've ever received from a pet groomer! We have always brought our cats in to get their nails cut at different pet salons. Never have I had a groomer pick up my cats out of carrier by their scuff. (if my cat were a kitten, yes). My one cat is probably 14 pounds and the other is 10 1/2 pounds . Additionally, not to hold the bottom of the body is ridiculous! I asked RAZ the next time I brought my one little gray cat in, if she could at least hold the bottom if she is going to grab him that way. RAZ says this is what I feel comfortable with and I guess I can. She still didn't hold him right. RAZ is unfortunately not experienced, very young, and has a bad attitude. Then she attached a leash on my cat who is actually very little. I know 10 1/2 pounds seems like a lot, but he's very tiny (no one has ever used a leash on him, nor do we). She is holding the leash with her one hand, trying to cut his nails while pulling on the leash at the same time and he's crying. His head was being pulled back and he hissed. I think anyone would have. I went in there immediately to tell her to stop and leave my cat alone. She said, while he hissed at me well, of course, because you were pulling his neck back and choking him. I said I would never bring him in again. She yells, "good and good luck". I then get my cat and a leave the salon. Before I did, I made sure to talk to a manager. When someone is calling the manager over for me -RAZ comes running out from the back of the store, where the grooming salon is to talk l to the manager first... how Professional I did contact Pet Smart to file a complaint, but nothing went any further- manager from Pet Smart contacted me. She asked if I would like to bring him in again with a new groomer that they just got for cats. No thank you I am good. I will never bring them to PETSMART. You have to watch your own pets to make sure they are taken care of once you drop them off. They do not have a voice. It surprises me that anyone brings their pets here I wish I read the reviews before I brought my kids in! Very unprofessional and I'm surprise she is still there. read more

Told to come back friday so I went back today. Cat groomer was working on a dog and said they couldn't do anything related to cat. Called another store, they said they dont do walk ins at all. Why advertise for a service you dont offer or at least be honest and say you have to book an appointment so drop in discount is a scam. read more

Grooming Services- did my first appointment here with groomer Raz. I have a 14yr old dog that has been groomed all his life. Went here for the first time since we moved and he came out with sloppy uneven face. He was looking. Like hulk hogan with one side longer stash. It was so sloppy and careless. I had to go back to get it fixed before I left the store. Groomer was no longer there and other employees had to fix it with a quick trim. Sadly this is a known issue and yet here we are still having issues with the same person. I don't like pointing out names but it's not all the groomers. It isn't that I dislike this store, in fact, it's very close by and it's a good place to take and get things for my dogs. The only drawback, however, is one particular employee, who I will refer to as the Fish Police. I am a 56 year old executive with 500 plus employees. My wife, is 60 years old, and a retired executive. We aren't stupid people. We have had fish tanks longer than this Pet Smart employee has been alive. We have four tanks of various sizes and two ponds. I go there to get feeders, and to resupply. I don't go there to be chastised or educated by a 20-something year old lady who thinks she is going to control what we buy. I've gotten into an argument with her while shopping alone. My wife has gotten into an argument with her while shopping alone, and twice, while together, we've simply left. Getting fish from this store shouldn't be that hard. I've complained to the manager, and yet, as of my last experience, this girl Fish Patroller is still there making it way to unpleasant and difficult to simply buy what I want to buy. We don't seem to have this same issue at any of the other stores we go to, just this one. read more

I went in for a fish. My son's tank has slowly dwindled over the last two years. I waited forever for anyone to come help me and was trying to start to ask the gentleman that finally came to help me if it mattered if I added one or two at a time..::: before I could ask he said "can I go put this in the freezer and come back" pointing to something on his cart. Sure... I am not crazy. As he walked back over some dude grabbed him to start asking him about feeding his snake. I am standing there a few feet away continuing to wait. They start going into an in depth talk about snake and food size. I finally said "seriously I have been waiting here and now you are going to help him"and walked off. the dude apologized to the jerk who jumped in loudly so I could hear. I called the store after I left to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager and he was the one "helping" me by the fish when I was there. And he chose to help the loud obnoxious man (my words not his) because he felt it was clear I needed more help and had more questions. Seriously? At this point I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes for help. But walk in and be pushy and obnoxious and a man and they don't even acknowledge the person they were supposed to come talk to. But apologize for the inconvenience of the crazy woman who has been waiting. I am not usually annoyed or a negative poster. I brought my golden here as a puppy and while looking for some food I was offered a free nail trim for my pup (I think an employee needed something to do and offered for my boy a trim) I offered him up and when he brought him back to me his nails were bleeding!!! She grab some saw dust looking crap and covered the bleeding ends with it. Please take your pets to woof gang baker or somewhere better for grooming services. read more

Have been taking my four-legged son to the grooming salon at this PetSmart for almost two years now and I am happy to report the "bromance" continues! We have had a few other techs groom our D.O.G. and they did a fine job; however, he is in LOVE with Rodney...and I'm pretty sure Rod likes him too...all of those raving report cards and such. My Lil E gets sooooooo happy when he gets to visit (the pup who used to loathe bath time, especially being buzzed!), it amazes me...and I reluctantly admit I'm the slightest tad jealous. ;) I have always avoided places like this in the past because I've witnessed some employees being "not so nice" to the dogs. Not at this location. All the groomers seem to really love animals and take great care with them. You can watch through the glass window if you please. I truly don't understand any of the negative reviews that have been written. ??? For years I took E to more "posh" doggy salons, but out of convenience one day I decided to give the grooming center a try. Sure glad I did! Thanks Rodney et al. for taking such fantastic care of our special dude! As far as the rest of the store goes: Pretty clean. Nice selection of items and products-except that don't carry the brand of food I feed my dog (yay for Tomilson's!). Employees are super nice and try to be helpful; however, they really still need someone in the fish department who is properly educated about the chemicals, fish, etc.. - please? :) There is not a proper "aquarium shop" anywhere close to home. My dogs just love to visit with other dogs here kind of like a Toys or Us but for dogs. I made an appointment for grooming my dog at PetSmart last week, answered all of the questions on their questionnaire no alarms went off. Showed up for her appointment was questioned further about her recent vaccinations and declared her congestive heart disease. I was told they had a 48 hour waiting period on the vaccines, seemed reasonable and rescheduled her appointment for the following week. Showed up today and was questioned again about her congestive heart problems and they decided to deny her grooming appointment. I made two unnecessary, unsuccessful trips to her grooming appointments that required conditions should have been made clear beforehand. I understand their liability and I'm not going to put my dog in a potentially dangerous situation either, I'm just saying before you waste my time with two trips/two cancelled appointments, they need to clarify ALL their requirements before agreeing to an appointment. read more

PLEASE do not get your dog groomed here! My dog (a mini-golden-doodle) has been groomed here twice and both times they did not follow my instructions. Doodles should not be shaved down very short because they have a double coat and this interferes with their natural mechanisms of regulating their temperature. I made this clear, yet the groomer still cut her down almost bare. The second time they cut her so short on her belly that a layer of skin was cut causing extreme irritation. I've had to put a cone on her for 3 days just so she can heal from her bad grooming. read more

This location has saved the day once again! I am currently fostering a Houdini escape artist who has destroyed 5 dog crates. I did a lot of research and sole searching (returning her to a boarding facility was not an option) so I was considering investing in a Owen or Zinger crate that run 500.00 when I ran across a Petsmart sales add for the Kong Ultra Strong Large crate on sale for only 120.00 (reg 180.00)! I was not even aware that Kong Brand even made crates. My closest Petsmart was sold out so I ended up finding it here. This crate is seriously heavy duty and probably weighs 200LBs it took me and 2 other women to get into the back of my SUV and it took me 10 minutes to drag it into my house from the drive way. It is collapsible so the corners are already reinforced but I zip-tied it in several places just to be safe. Over 2 weeks later and the Houdini has given up trying to escape! read more

I asked to pet the cats to find the perfect companion to adopt. sadly I left without a a cat. When I asked to pet the kitties I didn't get to finish speaking before she rudely interrupted me. she answered with a simple but hurtful "no". after I talked to the employee member I came to the realization that none of the kitties would find a new home. The staff is always helpful and friendly and courteous, and several times they have gone out of their way to send someone over to help me find something when I have asked where it might be at the front. My daughter bought guinea pigs here (which was a disaster, but no fault of the store!) and not only did they happily take them and all their accessories back, they were so sweet about it because she felt awful. If I could rate the haircut Michelle gave my Labradoodle today a zero I would! I showed Michelle a picture of my dog and asked that she "trim" him like his picture. Instead, Michelle shaved my dog , cut off all of his whiskers, and his eyebrows. He went from being a curly puppy with lots of fluffy hair to a short and straight haired mutt! I didn't even recognize my poor baby when she brought him out to me. Michelle needs to go back to training! Just awful! read more

Had a horrible experience in the aquarium department today. I've had good experiences with other employees in this department in the past but today had an employee (older man with white hair) refuse to sell me ONE goldfish because he deemed my 13.5 gallon tank "too small." He was extremely rude the entire time and stormed off multiple times. The funny thing about the whole thing is that he refused to sell me ANY of the regular goldfish but would sell me TWO of the bait goldfish which he even SAID would have the same problem? Seems odd to me that he deems one goldfish more worthy of life than another. Finally - it's not like the small goldfish is going to triple in size over night and outgrow the tank. When he gets big enough for my current tank size to be a problem I will make that determination and upsize. It seemed there was another review of this petsmart with a very similar experience. read more

Very frustrating experience! We have a 10 lbs maltipoo who is going on 4 years old with a very friendly temperament. When I say friendly, I mean he loves everyone he meets...very social. We've never had the slightest issue at groomers and have consistently gotten positive feedback on his behavior. He had a 5pm grooming appointment at PetSmart. They close at 9pm. At 8PM...3 hours later...within an hour of closing...we get a call stating they can't groom him because he keeps biting at the hair dryer and they can't dry him. When I show up, he's still soaking wet. The manager, Amanda, and employees stated the hair dryers are loud and that was probably why he was biting at it. Really? This is a "professional" dog groomer. What hair dryers aren't loud and why does he love being dried at home? Even if he was being difficult, he's a foo foo dog and has never bitten anyone. How difficult could it have been to dry him? We will never go back there. ...Btw, don't you clean the gunk from around a small dog's eyes while you're bathing them...before you dry them?? I guess PetSmart doesn't. We just finished cleaning all the eye boogers around his eyes and blow drying him. He was completely relaxed cooperative. Makes me question his whole experience there. read more

I get all my dogs groomed here and They absolutely love my dog. Sometimes my dogs are difficult to groom, but they are understanding never make me feel horrible. When I get my dogs they're happy they smelled good and it doesn't bother them to go to the grooming salon at all I think this Store is amazing, clean and I can tell the employees love pets! read more

While I am not one to usually write a bad review (especially after visiting a place multiple times, I felt it was necessary to portray my horrible experience today while I went shopping for "Christmas presents" for my loved ones. I will say that even though I do have a puppy that is completely potty trained and has been for several months, he decided to "mark" his territory in the store for the first time inside after completing training. I proceeded to clean up his mess after getting onto him which wasn't much more than a few drops. After going back and forth between a "good thanksgiving meal" for my pets, I noticed an employee cleaning a rather larger pile of pee in an adjacent aisle. My dog proceeded to mark yet again next to me which I then immediately cleaned up causing me to utilize the same cleaning materials as the employee. Thus completing my shopping, I proceed to the checkout where said employee was discussing with the cashier about the mess. The cashier with the pink hair decided to then make a point of overtly expressing the audacity of owners that do not watch their pets and/or clean up after their mess. It is unclear to me if it was meant to be passive aggressive towards me as if it had been my pet creating the mess, but it was still completely unprofessional. I will not return to this store due to lack of customer service. This employee went on and on about how large the pee was as if she had cleaned it up herself. I understand this is not a favorable part of the job experience of working at a pet store and appreciate you all that have to pick up these "oopsies" from time to time, but remaining tactful should be part of the job as well.
